Hotel King

Episode 21

What’s going on Mr. General Manager?

Mo Ne.

Yes. Speak.

I asked Cha Su Wan to excuse you…

…so stay in the residence today and don’t go anywhere.

Avoid Chairman Baek specifically.

I have to tell you something when I get back.

What are you talking about…

Ugh!

Mo Ne?

Ah Mo Ne!

Ah Mo Ne!

Yes we found it Loman.

Who are you?

Who the hell are you?

Where are you going?

Who are you?

Geez!

Darn it!

Who the hell told you to do this to him?

Darn it.

Jae Wan!

Jae Wan!

Jae Wan!

Jae Wan.

Jae Wan.

Damn it!

What are you doing?

Call 911!

[Mo Ne]

Cha Jae Wan where are you?

Strangers came into your house.

We took care of Cha Jae Wan Loman.

Oh God!

I’m so tired.

My mind is still young…

…but my body is almost like an old man's.

The night shift is too hard for me now.

Ugh!

I shouldn’t hurt my waist.

I feel like we have fewer guests since the new chairman?

That's because the room rate went up and the rooms are being renovated.

Hey where is Bok Soon going?

Huh?

She shouldn’t go out in her uniform.

Go on without me.

Hey!

Hey hey hey!

You know what?

Everybody's got an emergency.

I'm the only one...

…who isn’t busy.

I sound like a madman.

It’s okay.

Cha Jae Wan if you die…

…I won’t forgive you.

Hello?

Ms. Ah Mo Ne?

You're the most recent contact on Mr. Cha Jae Wan's phone...

...so I called you.

This is Myeong In Hospital.

Miss Mo Ne what’s going on?

Cha Jae Wan is...

...in the hospital.

Would you like me to go in with you?

I think I did hurt my head.

Why am I here?

He isn’t dead...

...so it’s okay.

Go in and see him with your own eyes.

It’s me.

Cha Jae Wan is in the hospital now.

Since you've taken him from me take good care of him...

…so he won't be hurt.

Let’s go.

You’re hurt too.

You’re right.

I’m hurt too.

It hurts.

Cha Jae Wan.

You look pretty ugly now.

How could you get beaten up like this?

You’re too big and tall for this.

Why do you get beaten up so often?

You should be grateful that you’re older than me.

If you were younger than me I’d beat you for this.

I’ll find out who did this to you.

I'm worried this will leave scars on your face.

You’re awake.

What is it?

Are you in pain?

Do you want me to call the doctor?

How did you get here?

I called you…

…and a nurse told me about you.

I don’t know who did this to you but…

...it doesn't seem they wanted to kill you.

They brought you here to the hospital.

You should get some treatment and rest here for a couple of days.

Let me just say this. You shouldn't leave the hospital...

- ...because of the hotel… - Mo Ne.

I heard her scream.

Look in the mirror.

You aren't in a position to be worried about someone else.

Ah Mo Ne…

I saw her just before I came here.

She was totally fine.

You can trust me on this.

She’s really fine.

By the way do you know who it was?

I mean who attacked you.

Yes we found it Loman.

What are you doing?

You know what I’m doing.

Stop it.

Who are you?

You messed up his house…

…and beat him that badly...

...but it seems you're afraid to become a murderer.

That's why you took him to the hospital right?

Where is the general manager?

This is why you'll never be able to hide who you're related to.

You played with someone's life...

…and then lie to me without hesitation.

You’re just like Baek Mi Nyeo.

Do you have any proof that I did it?

I heard what that man said clearly.

"We took care of Cha Jae Wan Loman."

Let's get out of here first.

- Leave and… - How dare you?

Ask your son…

…what he did to the general manager.

I didn’t know that your proud son was a gangster.

This is a misunderstanding.

- Mother I… - You’re helpless.

Your head is still only full of Cha Jae Wan in that uniform.

Didn’t you come back here to get revenge on me…

…after you decided to give up on your crazy love?

Leave now before I have you dragged out.

I'm your target.

Cha Jae Wan has nothing to do with me anymore.

If you want to harass someone harass me.

I’m ready for it.

Chairman Ah Sung Won was a calm person…

…but his daughter has quite a temper.

Mother you're misunderstanding me but...

It was my mistake.

I should've put an end to your bad habits when you got here...

...even if it meant I needed to use the rod on you.

I didn’t do it.

Did you attack him because he bothers me?

Mother.

I'm the only one who gets their hands dirty.

I can’t let you live inhumanely…

...like a gangster.

If I were with you during this time…

…would you be any different now?

I’m sorry my son.

What brings you here Mr. Loman?

Did you do it?

What are you talking about?

I just wanted to give you a little help.

I scolded my dear Jae Wan very harshly…

…for your mother’s sake.

Aren’t you touched by my loyalty?

The evidence you got from him…

Can I see it now?

You’re kidding me right?

I had to work hard for my lifesaver.

Now you're asking me to hand it over just like that?

Then…

…there’ll be no deal between us.

Cha Jae Wan will think that you attacked him.

There’s no one who would believe you.

You've got some guts.

The minute anything bad happens to me...

…Chairman Baek will be arrested.

Do you want money?

No.

My position...

...and what I was supposed to have.

Loman Lee and Lee Jung Ku.

Don’t you think that we’ll be a hell of a team?

You're hurt. Are you out of your mind?

No.

I’m fine...

...and I don't have time to lie around in bed.

Cha Jae Wan!

I’m sorry.

Thank you for what you've done for me.

I'll make sure to return the favor.

Did you see me there?

Haven't you considered it wasn't me who attacked you?

I would believe you...

...if you hadn't backstabbed me.

Backstabbed?

You insisted on leaving here as the general manager...

…to me and my mother didn’t you?

I'll tell you one more time.

Don’t do anything to my mother.

She murdered someone.

You shouldn’t forgive a murderer…

…even if they're a god or your mother.

No.

Even if the whole world criticizes her...

...the only person who will stay on her side...

…is family.

Maybe you don’t understand but…

No.

If you’re her family…

…you shouldn’t stop me. You should trust her.

"My mother would never do such a thing."

Instead you're sure...

…your mother killed Chairman Ah.

You’re more sure about it than I am.

You’d better keep being careful with me.

Because your mother has committed too many crimes.

Does it…

…have to be you?

My mother…

If you don’t hurt my mother…

…I’ll do anything you want.

It’s too late.

Why do you always hurt your arms?

Should I get you some pads?

Will I...

...be able to heal you?

Huh?

I did it.

Now you won't hurt anymore...

Your house was so messy I…

I'm in charge of cleaning the residences too.

Let’s clean up together.

You look hurt.

Shouldn't you be in the hospital?

I just bumped my head.

You hurt your knee.

Yes.

I tripped.

I have to tell you something when I get back.

On the day Chairman Ah died…

…Baek Mi Nyeo was with him.

What…

...is that supposed to mean?

I had the evidence to prove it.

I was on my way to the police station to request a reinvestigation…

...and I lost it. It was my fault.

Then…

…Baek Mi Nyeo killed...

...my father?

I’m not sure yet.

I promise you that I’ll get it back.

So…

...you got hurt again because of me.

Cry if you want to.

I don’t have a right to cry in front of you.

I’m sorry.

What are you doing?

Good morning Ms. Chairman.

Leave if you're finished cleaning.

I heard that this window was replaced after my father died.

I don’t remember what the old one looked like.

Did you ever see it Ms. Chairman?

My father must have been in a lot of pain.

Don’t you think so Ms. Chairman?

If you want to mourn your father…

…do it somewhere else.

You’re so incredible.

My father worked...

...ran his business had meetings...

…and died in the very place you’re sitting right now.

Is it okay with you?

I don’t care.

You removed the security cameras in the hallway outside your prior office…

...and there aren't any cameras near the chairman's office either.

Do I need a maid's permission for that?

Actually you told me once that...

...I should be more worried about people than security cameras.

Because I can’t change or manipulate what people see.

From now on…

...I'll try to find someone.

Luckily there are lots of eyes at Ciel.

If someone killed my father...

…the murderer would remember…

…how much he suffered when he died.

I've finished cleaning the room.

Have a good day Ms. Chairman.

Please come this way and form a line hear.

We’ll help you to check in quickly.

This way.

You know who we are right?

Yes sir.

We heard that you’re from an internet community of top power bloggers.

You’d better be careful with us.

Don't keep my hands busy writing complaints.

How ridiculous.

God’s sake...

Give me two extra beds.

I’m sorry but…

…the room would be too small for two extra beds.

Hey.

We want to share a room together and this man just said we can't.

What? Who told you that?

Actually it is possible miss.

I’ll do as you requested.

They're already here.

Yes.

They're the power bloggers right?

I heard their opinions carry more weight than reporters' these days.

Please give them the best service and avoid any complaints from them.

Yes I will.

Ah!

This is my nephew.

He hasn’t been in Korea for a long time…

…so I asked him to stay here for a few days for sightseeing.

You don’t need to worry about him.

Okay.

Wow.

First her son and now her nephew.

It looks like Chairman Baek likes to plant her roots firmly.

Be careful with their service.

Don't send any new employees to their rooms.

It’s war again.

We can handle this right?

We should.

Ms. So Mun Jung.

I heard strange and horrible thing…

...which shouldn't have happened and can't happen again..

Do you know what I'm talking about?

How...

...should I know...

I've received information...

...that one of our crazy staff members took a tour downtown...

…in her uniform with her name tag on.

Let me introduce that beautiful maid...

…Miss Ah Bok Soon.

It was you wasn't it?

Yes it was me.

The kind of person I hate the most...

...has only confidence and no shame.

Shame is a feeling of embarrassment.

It's the feeling you should have...

…when you harass your staff unreasonably…

…to flatter your boss.

I don’t like that kind of person either.

Shameless Miss Ah Bok Soon.

You’re in charge of the 7th 8th 9th and 10th floors today.

Okay.

They're painkillers.

I’m alright now.

Yes I know that you’re alright...

...because you’re always alright.

Fine.

Let’s talk later.

I’ll come back…

…when I don't see someone else in your eyes.

Chae Kyung.

I brought you the extra towels you requested.

Would you like me to put them in the bathroom?

Okay.

I put the towels in the bathroom sir.

Would you like to have some whiskey with me?

No thank you.

This can be your daily pay.

Why don't you spend the rest of your shift with me?

I already refused you sir.

Ugh!

Who ordered you to do this?

Ms. Hwang?

Chairman Baek?

You!

How dare you do this to me?

This isn't a pub. It's a hotel.

Save your dirty tricks for some other place.

Where do you think you’re going?

Let me go!

I'll make sure you get fired today.

Hello!

I want to see the manager right now!

Ah yes. I’m sorry sir.

Yes. Okay.

Okay.

Oh God.

I think she’s in trouble.

Do you want to go up there?

No I'd rather call the general manager.

Hold on.

You shouldn’t call the general manager over something like this.

I’ll take care of it instead.

Damn it.

Are you the person in charge?

Is this how you train your staff?

You’re in big trouble.

The people who came here with me…

…are waiting for my call in front of their computers right now.

We'll post on our blogs that you're the worst hotel in Korea.

What a cheesy threat.

You sexually harassed me first…

Miss Ah Bok Soon.

You shouldn’t talk to a guest like that.

I’m sorry sir.

She's a new employee so she made a mistake with you.

We'll take disciplinary measures with her.

Mr. Hong.

It wasn't my fault. He sexually harassed me first...

Miss Ah Bok Soon.

Get out of the room now.

We’re very sorry about what just happened to you.

If you don’t mind…

…I’d like to provide you and your company free use of hotel facilities and the minibar…

…until you check out.

Mr. Hong.

He isn’t just an ordinary guest.

Ms. Hwang and Chairman Baek brought them here to harass me intentionally…

Miss Ah Bok Soon.

You don’t know that you should talk politely to your superior?

Sorry.

I’m so sorry.

Why did you come back to the hotel?

Do you think that your colleagues appreciate it...

...when you speak so frankly with your superiors...

...and get tough with difficult guests?

No.

An hotelier should bow down…

…even when they're upset because of unfair treatment.

You should alway put the guest's mood first...

…even if you get hit by them.

The way you act puts everyone else at odds with you...

…because we all work for a living and we can’t risk losing our jobs like you.

I never intended to make you feel that way.

You’re in a maid’s uniform but you’re still the chairman.

The entire staff here including me...

…were your employees once.

Please don't put us at risk. Just leave.

If you'll excuse me...

I heard about you but…

…it’s more shocking to see you in that uniform.

The other maids bow when they see me.

What are you up to Ah Mo Ne?

Do the other maids tell you what they think too CEO Song?

The reason why you stay here like this…

…is Cha Jae Wan right?

Your world is filled with Cha Jae Wan isn't it?

Work for me at Haemil then. It's a hotel too.

Why would I do that?

If Cha Jae Wan sees you in that uniform he’ll be concerned about you…

Yes that’s why I’m here.

It's so I can keep watching him.

I’m not joking.

I…

...feel nervous.

Miss Ah Mo Ne got off thirty minutes ago…

…and went back to the residence.

Cha Su Wan.

I don’t know what her job is since she's got another supervisor...

...but I made sure she got home safely.

You’re in a maid’s uniform but you’re still the chairman.

The entire staff here including me...

…were your employees once.

Please don't put us at risk. Just leave.

Okay Ah Mo Ne.

You have to face reality now.

You're not the chairman but a maid.

You're the flower and face of this hotel.

- I’m a maid of Ciel Ah Mo Ne. - Ah Mo Ne.

You haven’t changed much.

Do you know what I like the most about living in the residence hall?

The sound of people.

I can hear other people in the morning...

...and their chatting and laughter in the evening.

I like it.

You won't say that after living here for a month.

I won't?

I’m older than you and I’m your superior.

I don't think it's fair to treat you politely.

Fine. I'll allow that.

I’ll be your friend from now on.

Friend… is good.

I’m sure these people planned this beforehand.

Almost all guests made complaints and unreasonable ones at that.

For example the don't like the look of the service staff...

...or the humidity here is sucking the soul out of their skin...

...or dirt's falling on their eyelashes so their eyelids are drooping...

...or the TV remote's so heavy it's making their wrist hurt.

It's all nonsense.

Especially…

...for a group of guest with twenty or thirty room reservations at once.

They're dominating the hotel while they're here...

...and using that power over us.

Provide our best services...

...but make sure to draw a line.

If not their requests will be endless.

Have you prepared their lunch reservation yet?

Yes.

Actually the head of the group ordered a common lunch course…

…which is different from what I was expecting.

He just requested one new menu item.

Check each guest’s tastes and don't make any mistakes.

Let’s finish up.

It's more nerve-wracking than a summit.

Of course. They're like angels of death to us.

They'll send us all straight to hell.

God they’re scary.

Say it.

One of the group and Miss Ah Mo Ne had an incident yesterday.

I was a little harsh on her and I told her to leave.

Well done.

She should be aware of her faults.

It wasn't just Miss Ah Mo Ne’s fault.

If she weren't a staff at this hotel...

…she would have reported it to the police.

How’s it?

Good.

You shouldn’t serve any of these dishes late.

Let them all eat the same food at the same time.

Wow I really can't understand these people.

They're not eating anything just taking pictures of it.

You’re worried about the hotel right?

If we serve them well...

...they could be our chance.

To a hotel guests are more important than banks or rich investors.

If a hotel is popular with guests its value goes up.

They can order items apart from the main course...

...so make sure the kitchen is prepared for that after it's served.

Don’t worry about it Jae Wan.

What’s going on?

I’m sorry.

About what?

I went out in uniform…

…I wasn't sorry for my mistake...

…and I talked back to you rudely.

Please forgive me.

I don’t want to.

You're saying sorry with your mouth...

...but you don't really seem genuinely sorry.

I’m genuinely sorry.

No. If I don't feel it it's useless.

There’s a golf club…

…and a farm over there.

Over the mountain there's...

Mr. General Manager!

We've got trouble.

What’s going on?

You should go to the room block for the group guests.

It has been three hours since they had the lunch…

...and they're starting to get stomachaches.

What are you talking about?

What happened?

I don’t know.

I think they're getting food poisoning.

I called 911.

First of all call up all available staff to take care of these guests.

Then cancel all reservations for the restaurant today.

Yes.

It hurts!

Let me unbutton your shirt.

Just wait. It'll make it easier to breathe.

What’s going on?

The power blogger team is all sick after eating lunch.

All of them?

They all ate the same thing.

I think there was something wrong with the food.

No one should die because of this.

You know that right?

Of course. You don’t need to worry about that.

Okay. I know you never make mistakes.

Ciel needs to be known for the worst food service hygiene and safety…

…throughout the world.

I'll let you take care of the rest.

Ah Mo Ne helped me the most.

She's such a troublemaker she could even provoke their leader...

...who's known for his bad temper.

You put her in charge of him intentionally didn't you?

She’ll never be a hotelier.

[Son]

Ju Wan.

I told him our condition.

He said he'll review it and get back to us soon.

Is it okay for you to leave the hotel?

It seems to be in a panic.

There’s nothing I can do.

Our wise general manager will take care of it.

Okay.

So should I call this a blessing in disguise?

I wasn't expecting something to go wrong with the bloggers' food.

Now the stock price will fall even more even if I don't do anything.

I’m sorry mother.

I didn't mean I'm grateful for people being sick.

Let’s just go.

Okay.

We've received a written diagnosis of food poisoning from the hospital.

They're all being treated now...

...and there won't be any further medical issues.

The issue will be them from now on.

I gotta go there.

It won't help even if you go now.

Their first request is an official apology from the chairman.

They told me just to imagine what will happen if we don't meet their requests.

Where’s Chairman Baek?

She was briefed about the incident.

She was so concerned about it...

...she left work early to go get some rest at home.

Sunbae?

It’s all my fault Mr. General Manager.

If this is your fault then I'm even more responsible...

...because I'm your manager.

If this could be resolved with your resignation...

…I’d accept it but it doesn't work like that.

We should take care of this matter first.

Let’s talk about you again later.

I’m sorry Sunbae.

What are you doing?

If I hadn't you wouldn't even talk to me so...

What happened to your face?

Who the hell…

…did this to you?

Hey hey.

I have some very interesting news…

…and I’m wondering...

...who I should tell about it first Jae Wan.

I don’t care.

Whatever your information is I'll never come back to you.

Don’t be so sure of that Jae Wan.

You know that our relationship is very special.

I don’t expect you to live quietly...

...but please don't get caught by me.

Baek Mi Nyeo…

…is too strong for you to deal with alone.

If you want to be involved then do it.

I'll just get rid of the two of you together.

You’re wrong son.

You’ll come back to me soon.

[Sun Woo Hyun]

I’m getting off work now too.

Let’s have dinner together Miss Bok Soon.

He asked me to clean his room only when he's there.

Then he tells me not to empty the wastebasket...

…and not to touch anything.

I was already uncomfortable because he was in the room...

...but how am I supposed to clean up if I can't touch anything?

Darn it.

I bet he's acting like that because he's the chairman's nephew.

He's even more suspicious...

...because he has almost five cell phones.

Ah.

He must be a phone salesman.

He looks too serious to be a salesman.

"Yes I got it Loman."

"I’ll be there."

Loman?

Does he sell the phones overseas?

This guest…

Which room is he staying in?

I heard you've already looked around the hotel...

…so let me ask you directly.

How long would you take?

People usually ask me how much…

…but you ask me how long.

You’re interesting.

I was surprised because the hotel is much better than the rumors say.

Yes it is yet...

...but word about the food poisoning will get out soon...

…and several more incidents will happen.

The stock price will fall sharply soon.

If you want to know why we're on a schedule.

I've never dealt with this before.

Usually the seller makes up something...

...to increase its value.

It’s a good deal for you.

For us how to sell is more important than how we buy.

Buy low sell high.

If the hotel's value decreases too much it won't be good for resale.

Ah!

This is my nephew.

He hasn’t been in Korea for a long time…

…so I asked him to stay here for a few days for sightseeing.

You don’t need to worry about him.

[Food]

[Ciel evaluation report] [Ciel’s articles of association analysis]

[Ciel’s stock analysis report] [Ciel’s shareholder analysis report]

What are you doing in here?

You shouldn’t be here. Get out now.

The guest staying here...

You're here because you know he isn't Baek Mi Nyeo's nephew right?

Did you find out who he is?

Roughly.

When I saw you for the first time Mr. Loman…

…I thought we were similar.

Why don't we have a drink together without the chairman...

...and chat comfortably?

Okay?

Sure.

Okay.

Have a seat here.

Okay.

Hyena.

The one who never misses his prey once he takes a bite...

...and scavenges good food out of what's half rotten.

A corporate raider.

I can’t fully deny it.

Why are you taking extra time to work on Ciel specifically?

At first I needed time to find out why the new chairman Baek Mi Nyeo…

...wanted to sell off the hotel right after she became chairman.

Next I have to decide...

...whether I should disassemble the hotel piece by piece…

…so it becomes impossible to recover...

…or whether I should give it room to have a second chance.

Make this hotel irrecoverable.

[Preview]

Mr. General Manager.

Whether it's prison or abroad...

...I need you to leave.

You should keep your promise...

...about giving me back my initial position.

John Howard.

He’s a corporate raider who sells off companies in any condition.

The hotel price written here doesn’t make sense at all.

Witch Baek.

What are you really up to?

Are you really willing to see the end with my mother?

That’s the question I want to ask your mother.

I've already put everything I have into this battle...

...if she's okay with it.

I’ll do anything my mother wants.

Do you think that I’d let you do that?
