You don't.

People grow real attached to their pain.

It becomes a constant story
that they play back over and over again.

They tell their friends, their coworkers,
their relatives,

And your friends listen to the story
and then they regurgitate it right back.

Now. why?

Well, it's because
this story gives you a payoff.

You don't have to face the things
that you know that you should,

like going to the gym.

Allowing yourself to feel vulnerable

The problem with therapy

is even once you finally
understand your pain,

it doesn't really help you let it go.
