Mr. Curry makes Ebenezer Scrooge look like Mother Teresa.

Who's Ebenezer Scrooge?

Ebenezer Scrooge was just a miser whose life was

changed

by the visitation of three ghosts on Christmas Eve.

[thinking] Everyone has always been so

generous with me at Christmas.

I hope, I have enough money saved

to buy all the presents I need for them.

(Mary) 'We won't be able

to light a fire'

'until the chimney's clean out.'

(Henry) 'Don't worry, Mary.'

(Mary) 'Oh, but, Henry,

we haven't had a real fire'

'since the Clean Air Act came in.'

'That's three years ago. Oh, it must be filthy.'

'As for finding a chimney sweep'

'these days they've nearly all gone out of business.'

(Henry) 'I'm doing it myself.'

(Mary) 'You? Doing it yourself?'

(Henry) 'Yes, me.'

'I've ordered a special outfit from Barkridges'

'It's arriving tomorrow. J-just in time for Christmas.'

[thinking] Trust Mr. Brown

to come up with an idea.

(Mrs. Bird) If you must, you can dust.

Perhaps I could dust the chimney.

There won't be any Santa Claus if it doesn't get done.

[sighs] I wonder if I'll ever

poke through.

Oh, Mrs. Bird will be very proud.

It's a good thing bears are good at climbing.

Even Mrs. Bird can't grumble at that.

Now, I just have to tidy up a bit before everyone gets back.

Santa Claus won't pass the Browns' house tonight.

Perhaps I already took the brush off.
