Now, this first trick almost never came to be.

Turns out it's really difficult to find a business

that will let you bring in several dozen live bees

for a magic trick.

After some convincing,

the Atlanta-based Arden's Garden juice bar

was cool enough to give us the green light.

We're having a little promotion today.

We're giving away some of our honey.

Okay.

Now, we just started importing honeycombs.

You can see they're really embedded with honey.

Yeah.

And we import these from Turkey.

So, Turkish honeycombs are in high demand.

We're one of the first places

that's allowed to sell them here in the States.

We're pretty excited about it,

'cause it's a very high-potency honey,

super sweet and really tasty.

Um, and the trick with these --

I'm gonna pull a little piece off here.

There you go. Okay.

I want to keep them covered up.

It's the one thing you have to do

when you have real honeycombs.

And I'm gonna let you taste a little sample of it...

as it drips off.

to taste some of that.

The thing with this kind -- It's so potent --

It was just empty.

The pheromones are so strong

that local bees are attracted to it.

So, you have to keep it covered and sealed

or else local bees will --

You know, they go into a frenzy trying to get to that honey.

a refreshing product on a freezing cold day.

So when it's exposed to warmer air here --

It's under -- it's under pressure,

so the molecules expand.

Yes, the molecules expand and they re-freeze.

It's funny, 'cause we actually --

'cause our freezer wasn't working.

Yeah, and then I pour it into the ice tray.

That's so neat. Yeah.

And because of the long stream, it hits our air --

Got a little in my hand there. It was kind of cold.

But once it's in place,

and you can see that it's going to melt again

after it adjusts to the --

it's a stronger and colder ice

than we can make here,

because it was frozen at a colder temperature.

See that? That's so neat.

Would you like to taste a pure citrus shot?

You might remember the spoon-melting salsa

from the Mexican restaurant in Season 1.

Well, that was one of my favorite tricks.

And here I am attempting a much more ambitious version

with many more moving parts.

It took over four hours of rehearsal for me to nail it.

...and this has 50%.

-Whoa. -Yeah.

The flesh is a lot more potent.

You see when I poke it with the knife there...

it's a thicker flesh.

Wow.

So, a tree that would normally produce 50 lemons

is only gonna produce one.

There you go. Squeeze a little into that.

We sell these lemons, too. You have to wear gloves.

-Wow. -Yeah, it's pretty strong.

One shot of that is good for what?

You know, like a shot of wheatgrass --

Right. This is good for cleansing.

So, if I took one shot, it'd do what for me?

It will help you cleanse and rejuvenate

the interior of your, uh --

your esophagus and your stomach.

It resets the digestive --

-Just choke it down, huh? -Yeah.

That was pretty strong, right?

It's extremely potent.

Like alcohol.

will have toxins built up in it,

so you want to pour those out.

That's what you're not getting in your body.

Yeah. You want to make sure you keep that stuff clean.

See, when we juice without having the toxins come out,

that -- that's all going inside of your body.

I see it. That's gross.

What they do is they start a process of morphogenesis...

Oh, wow.

...where they start to, you know, huddle together.

So, that's why it sort of takes that shape.

And the interesting thing is, because it's all plant life,

you can actually handle them with your bare hands.

So, I take this.

That's the plant toxins and the fruit toxins.

You know, it will -- it'll form.

So this toxin monster is actually called

a serpent sea star,

and we almost used this for a different trick

where an alien hatched from a space pod.

But for that,

we ended up going with decorator crabs instead.

...a living toxin.

Ew.

That is so gross.

Yeah, you don't want that in your small intestine.

Well, then I'm not gonna pick what I do on the 21-day thing.

I'll do it all wrong.

Now, originally,

we were supposed to film all of these tricks

in a big corporate department store.

But when the location fell through at the last second,

Bennie's Shoes in Atlanta came to the rescue.

Turns out Bennie's a big fan of the show,

and he gave us the run of the place.

If I buy leather shoes,

I actually get them, you know, a half size small.

Are these the 10?

Uh, yeah. This is the 10.

Slide that puppy on there.

Oh. You know, they -- It's a bunch. Yeah.

Let me grab that.

They say to -- Sorry about that.

Yeah. These are reverse pack from the toe down.

It's just important to help them keep their shape,

you know, keep it packed.

It's funny.

I-I was thinking about it the other day.

I think those shoes are at least 35 years old.

Oh, yeah. Your old shoes.

-I mean, it's just crazy. -Yeah. I know.

You get something that you like, and you want --

You know, you take care of it

and, you know, make sure that it lasts.

I'm like that with, uh, you know, my pen.

I have a pen I keep real good.

And so, I-I like to take care of it.

A lot of people will bring this home

and, you know, restuff them.

And I don't recommend doing that,

you know, after every --

I feel bad. I mean, this is crazy.

What do you mean?

You're pulling out all this stuff to, you know --

so I can try it on.

Now, the secret to these never-ending tricks

is that I have to exaggerate the physicality

of pulling out all of this stuff

in order to grab their attention.

But at the same time, I got to make it believable

by keeping the conversation

as natural and low-key as possible.

I know. I know. But it's important.

Keeps it dry in the shipment for it.

Make sure that's in there like that.

Feels like there should be a prize.

That should be the last of it.

And then a little silica gel pack.

People throw this stuff away. It's -- I keep it.

You know, I would put this back in the shoe in between,

especially if you're gonna be hiking with it, like you said.

You know, it's gonna be, um --

You know, you're gonna get a lot of sweat

from the kind of sock that you have

and the moisture. We'll be able to --

I can't believe all that is coming out of the shoe.

- Yeah, well, it's important. - No, I understand.

It doesn't look big enough to hold all this stuff.

Oh, yeah.

You should see if it's like a size 15

or something like that.

You wouldn't believe the kind of stuff you can get in there.

But because they're shipped sometimes from different states,

we want to make sure that they stay dry as they go.

You can find inspiration for a magic trick anywhere.

And in this case, a member of our magic team

had just bought some new shoes and wondered,

why are there always those two holes

on the side of a shoe box?

Well, this trick offers an answer to that question.

Okay. Let's see here.

I'm gonna get these laced up for you, okay?

Awesome, man.

They usually arrive already laced,

but we have to do it through the box.

It's one of these lacing boxes. Have you seen those?

Where it's like --

The laces actually, like, to carry the box?

Yeah, oh, those little holes that go in the sides.

-Oh, that's pretty cool. -Yeah.

The company rep showed us. It's like you slide the --

Pull it through just about to there.

Yeah, and it's just a matter of how much, you know --

It's to actually lace the shoe? That's crazy.

Yeah, it goes in like this.

And it systematically pulls it.

If you lay the shoe in the bottom like that,

you just kind of shake it.

That's pretty cool.

Yeah, and then...

Yeah, it laces it up.

No way.

No way.

Yeah.

Did you just lay the laces, like, in --

How did you -- Did you put them in there?

Like, how did that just happen? I didn't...

Yeah, you push --

The lace gets pulled through the two holes there.

Oh, okay.

And then there's --

I don't know what that little wire thing is there.

It's like some something that...

Yeah, you lay the shoe on, and it gets it through.

That's crazy. I know. It's so weird,

'cause it's, like, I don't know how it finds --

Yeah. But if you save the box --

Like, I like to change colors out if I can.

Yeah, I know.

I just got some red and black laces

'cause I graduated from Georgia.

So, like, all my shoes are, like, black.

Oh, that's good.

But if you wanted to do a different color,

you could put two in -- you could put two in there,

and then whatever lace you wanted to do from the front.

And unlace them.

You can put the two different colors,

one in each side, and shake it.

And it will pull them both in.

And then you'd be able to have two, um...

where I demonstrated the magical self-tying shoe laces

and everything worked out great.
