For this shoot, the good folks at our parent TV company

let us take over the lobby of their offices in Atlanta

for an entire weekend.

We invited non-employees to focus groups,

where they thought they were going to watch

and review new TV shows.

But first, they had to pass through me.

Okay, so Jesse's reaction here became an instant classic.

when I told him that the fire was a fraud.

it's name of a hidden camera magic --

Dude, I can't tell you how many people I walked through here,

and they were like, just not even --

I was like, "Jesus, you did a good job."

This trick was inspired by an e-mail hoax that was forwarded

to one of our producers by his concerned mother.

The e-mail claimed that the radiation from a cellphone

was significant enough to pop popcorn.

And here, we decided to bring that urban legend to life,

only with a metal detector instead of a phone.

We're not supposed to do this,

but they don't give me time to get to the kitchen in between,

so I'm just gonna make a little snack.

You a popcorn guy?

Uh...

No?

I worked in a movie theater for a long time, so...

Oh, too much. Way too much. Okay.

[ Wand beeps ]

All right, if you'll hold that for me.

Yeah, hold it -- Uh, and -- Yeah, take a step back.

Yeah, it's just a little hack that we do.

You know, I brought microwave popcorn on accident.

in my backpack.

And I had it just sitting on the floor,

and during my shift, it started going off.

You know, we were like, "What is up?"

"What is going on?" Yeah.

And, you know, they teach you about that,

the triad that you have to watch out for,

you know, between that, this machine, and a visitor.

Right. You want to make sure

to not have them sitting there.

It could melt a pair of aluminum-alloy earrings or...

Wow.

...you know, someone's glasses could melt right off their face.

So, um -- And one more thing here.

I do have some butter.

And this one -- I don't even use the machine for this one.

You see how excited I am to melt this butter?

Well, this was actually my third attempt at this trick,

and the only time I managed to get to this second step

without the person busting out laughing and calling BS.

That is super weird.

So, sometimes when things are really popping,

we're able to shoot four or five different tricks in one day,

more than we can actually fit into an episode.

And that's what happened here.

So let's have a look at this never-before-seen trick

where we turn seafood into see-through food.

Is there something -- any metal in here?

No, it's rice.

And just the little packets. Some sauce.

Some forks. These are plastic.

Yeah. Two forks.

That shouldn't do it, yeah.

And this trick almost didn't happen

because for it to pay off, we had to wait for someone

And fortunately Danielle arrived just in time.

However, I couldn't resist using our mysterious tracker

to help with this never-before-seen reveal.

a hidden camera magic TV show.

who's been working on "The Carbonaro Effect"

since the very first day.

Now, David and I are known to

engage in prank wars with each other on set,

so we knew this trick was bound to get a little bit silly.

And, uh, great.

And bend his knees up.

And I'm gonna put this underneath your --
