[Ancient Detective]

[Episode 23]

What do you want?

I want you to...

help me change the martial world record.

Change?

Change to...

Marquis Hei Wu,

he's handsome and charming.

He has a perfect physique and everybody likes him.

Also,

he has not only great medicine skills, but also noble and righteous.

He's broad-minded and honorable.

He's very kind.

He has saved countless lives and everyone admires him.

He's the greatest man who's rare to be found in the world.

If you think that's not good enough, you can flourish a bit more for me.

In your dream!

Do you think I don't have any principle in this martial world?

If you wanted me to write it this way, you'd better kill me then

Sima Dang.

I would rather exchange my life with Jian.

It's a request that I can accept.

I don't want your life.

I just want you to change the record.

I have my own principles.

No way.

No deal?

Then, I can't save Mr. Jian either.

Sir,

we've offended you many times before.

It was all our fault.

I'd like you to reconsider.

You know my rules.

I'm not the one who needs to consider about it.

Sir.

Are you forcing me to kill?

You scared me.

Mister, I was praising that you're an understanding man.

If you kill me, who's going to treat Jian?

Moreover, you've got the Gu Poison.

The Cannibalistic Gu Poison.

Shen Lin had poisoned Hu Ba Yue before.

It's good that you know this Gu Poison.

If you could fulfil my conditions,

I would help you to remove poison from your bodies.

Goodbye.

Sir, please reconsider it, okay?

I've said goodbye. Get out!

Okay.

Sorry for bothering you.

Let's go.

Jian.

Just you wait.

Just I wait? Are you kidding me?

His temper is getting weirder.

How I wish you're the real Ye Xiao Xiao.

I am.

You...

Zhao,

you must pay more attention to Madam Hei Wu for the next few days.

I will do so even if you don't ask me to.

I won't let him run away.

No. I mean, we have to protect him.

If he dies,

we won't be able to live either.

Right.

I felt a heavy murderous aura just now.

It was here for him.

It turns out that Jian Bu Zhi has given the crystal to Zhao Wo Huan.

This helped me instead.

All we have to do now is to get the crystal and kill Jian Bu Zhi.

The superior is desperate.

Looks like my father is getting impatient.

Who is our agent at Yan Mountain Sect?

Miss Ming Yue.

I've looked into the pedigree chart of Yujiabao,

none of them has relation with the Wu family.

Can you explain it?

You can write it for me.

Sima Dang,

why are you bullying Miss Ming Yue again?

You came at the right time.

We haven't settled our problem yet.

Don't bother me.

I'm going to soak the gelatin.

Don't follow me.

Just say it.

I won't.

Miss Ming Yue.

Did you get into any trouble?

Is there anything that I can help?

I don't think he's a bad person.

But he's furious right now.

When he calms down,

things will get better.

Don't we have something to discuss?

Nothing is more important than your life.

Didn't you tell me that... you felt the murderous aura too?

Yes, a killer's instinct.

I have a bad feeling about this too.

Why? Are you afraid to die here?

I'm afraid that all of us will die here.

Who is there?

Help! Assassin!

Help me now!

Help!

Sir, are you okay?

Don't play this trick!

What do you mean? What trick?

Are you trying to fool me?

Using violence after courtersy failed.

You faked an assassination.

Then, you come to save me...

and want me to return a favor by removing the poison from you?

I've seen too many acts of playing the hero.

Sir, I think you've misunderstood.

Someone was really trying to kill you.

Tell me.

- Who wanted to kill me? - It was...

Jian, you're finally here.

Zhao.

What's going on?

I heard him screaming for help.

Then, I came in to save him.

But the assassin escaped.

What assassin? You're the assassin!

You're being unreasonable.

Someone wanted to kill you. It wasn't me.

- I was trying to save you. - Stop lying!

Jian, look at this person...

What are you pointing at? You want to fight?

Don't you have enough of blames?

Zhao, have you forgotten what I told you?

No...

It's outrageous!

Stop acting in front of me.

Good cop, bad cop.

You're Jian Bu Zhi from Shenji Valley, aren't you?

You've left your brain there.

Sir, our lives are in your hands.

We have no reason to kill you.

How about this?

Please give me some time.

I'm going to find out who was trying to kill you.

- Mr. Jian. - Jian.

- Mr. Ye. - Let me.

Press hard.

He has the bloodletting for ten times already.

Next time, if he passes out again, I'm afraid...

he won't be able to make it any more.

Without my help, he won't last a day.

I'll leave tomorrow morning anyway.

The three of you can take care of it.

- Sir. - This man is so annoying.

Mr. Jian, let me help you to rest.

Jian.

The real target of the assassin...

probably is me.

Why?

You're all here for me.

It won't be easy for him.

But if Madam Hei Wu dies,

I'll die for sure.

He can come and go easily.

That's why I suspect that...

he's from Yan Mountain Sect.

I have to catch him.

You can't overwork yourself now.

Mr. Ye has already said it, if you pass out again,

you may not be able to wake up again.

He's in the dark.

He can threaten us at any time.

If I keep him alive, there will be endless trouble.

But your condition now...

Miss Zhan,

my father wrote it in his dairy that...

the murderer is always proactive in the dark.

The detective is always in the open.

It's a disadvantage.

Just hide your trump card.

When the enemy thinks that you're...

at the end of the line,

he'll come out of the dark.

If we play our trump card well,

we'll give him...

a fatal blow.

So,

we must...

wait for the right time.

While I still be able to talk,

I want to give this to you.

What is this?

Our trump card.

I need to tell you something.

Ask Zhao to come over too.

I have something to tell him.

Zhan Er Shi Yi.

The assassins from the Zhan Division came to me for treatment...

because they want to survive.

If I simply disclosed their information,

I'd not only get them killed, but also get myself killed.

Unless they're my closest family.

Otherwise, I won't say a word.

I've already treated you as my closest family.

Feel free to ask me anything.

I'll tell you everything.

What are you doing?

Wicked Woman...

You're crying.

No, I'm not.

What is this?

Thing that you kept asking from me during the day.

All patients from Zhan Division who you'd treated...

You're right.

All on the list.

You... Stop talking nonsense and come with me.

I haven't found the answer yet.

I can't collapse yet.

The truth is right in front of us.

I must have neglected some important clues.

Why do you want to kill me?

Because you are the target of the Ten Killing Gate.

Why does Ten Killing Gate want to kill me?

Help! Assassin!

Madam Hei Wu was attacked by an assassin just now.

The murderer would probably come after me too.

They come for the crystal which contains the name list?

Wu Ying Dao died on Puppet Island, didn't he?

Bai He.

Do they know each other?

I have another name...

which is Ming Jiu.

Ming Yue and Shi Liu went to look for Wu Ying Dao at Puppet Island.

Zhao told me before that...

Shi Liu's style of martial arts is similar to Zhan Shi Qi's...

as well as Zhan Shi Er's.

Her weapon is scissors.

Probably...

Shi Liu's an assassin from Zhan Division?

Bai He, Ming Division, Wu Ying Dao, Shi Liu, Zhan Division.

What's hidden in the crystal... must be Ming Division's name list.

If I was right,

I'm sure Ming Yue is from the Ten Killing Gate.

They went to Puppet Island...

to find the name list inside the crystal.

I'll give you something fun.

It's time for me to set free.

I got the crystal by accident.

That's why the Ten Killing Gate is targeting me.

They want to take back the crystal.

My girl, Ming Yue, brought all these delicious food to us.

Then, it wasn't strange that Ming Yue showed up in Liaodong.

She was after me.

No wonder Sima Dang said...

Yujiabao has no relation with the Wu family.

Because there is no relationship between Ming Yue and Wu Ying Dao.

They are accomplices of Ming Division.

The answer is obvious.

Ming Yue is our enemy.

The crystal is with Zhao Wo Huan now.

This is dangerous.

I must tell Miss Zhan and Zhao about this.

I need to tell them before our enemy takes any action.

What are you two doing in the middle of the night?

You got what you wanted.

I beg you, please promise him.

- Please. - Both of you are acting?

It's like this.

This lady just gave me this.

News regarding all the Zhan Division's assassins she had treated...

is all here.

She's going to betray her patients.

Yes.

I've been dreaming of getting this information.

But have you made up your mind?

What does it mean when you do such a thing?

That means...

I've sold them out.

From now on, Zhan Division will hunt me down.

For the rest of your life,

I'm afraid you'll have to escape from the pursuit.

Your dream of becoming the greatest physician in the world...

will be vanished.

It's okay.

I've made up my mind.

Do you agree or not?

This is indeed a very precious news to me.

But I'm sorry.

What are you doing?

What do you mean?

I'm a pretty boy after all.

Robbery is not my style.

What's going on?

A girl... could give up so much for Jian Bu Zhi's sake.

I'm Jian's best friend,

how can I ignore it?

I'll fulfil your conditions.

I'll change your history on the martial world right away.

Okay.

I'll be watching you here.

Marquis Hei Wu...

is a charming man.

He is...

handsome.

He has perfect physique.

Everybody likes him.

Not only that,

he has great medicine skills.

He is indeed...

noble and righteous.

What's wrong?

You feel disgusted?

Not at all.

He is...

broad-minded and kind-hearted.

He has saved countless lives.

He's the greatest man who's...

rare to be found in the world.

What's wrong?

They said I have a bad temper,

a bad voice,

and my gesture is sissy.

They said that...

I'm a monster.

Everyone is unique in this world.

I know... you're different from ordinary people.

But in my opinion,

you're gentle and kind in nature.

You're a good physician.

They're wronged to judge you like that.

You've done nothing wrong.

So,

don't torture yourself because of someone else's fault.

Okay?

All right.

Tough man shouldn't cry easily.

Don't cry.

Is it okay to write like this?

Do you know what does it mean to you when you write this?

It means... I'm no longer a qualified historian.

I can't record the truth of the martial world.

It's a taint in my historian career.

That's why... That's why before I change my mind,

could you please be hurried, Madam Hei Wu?

I've done what you asked me to do.

Can you please save Jian Bu Zhi?

Then, I'll have to check.

Who knows if you really did it or not?

How does Jian Bu Zhi have friends like you?

How lucky.

Why I don't get friends like this?

It's so frustrating to compare like this.

Jian.

- Jian. - Mr. Jian.

- Jian. - Mr. Jian.

Jian, wake up.

Come on, take him up.

Come on.

Madam Hei Wu...

If Ye Xiao Xiao was still alive,

I wouldn't have ended up like this.

God is so unfair.

What are you doing?

This...

It's easy to make peace in this world,

but hard to have someone who would sacrifice for you.

Since the two of you are willing to sacrifice so much for your friend,

I,

As a big brother, I'm willing to help you.

You mean... I mean... I will save Jian Bu Zhi without any conditions.

Really?

Madam...

No, Brother Hei Wu.

You're so good.

Now you know, you little lass.

There you are. Jian has fainted, let's go!

Don't worry, I'm here.

Let's take a look.

The Cold Poison is approaching his heart.

But don't worry, he can be saved.

He won't die yet.

That's great.

I'll disperse the Gu Poison first.

This is...

I'm giving him a new type of Gu bugs.

It's called Bee Gu.

The most gluttonous Gu bugs.

They can eat up all the Burning Heart Gu bugs in his body.

Are the bugs going to eat up Jian as well?

Although they are gluttonous,

they're also very picky.

They only eat bugs, but don't eat human.

After they've eaten up all the Burning Heart Gu bugs in his body,

they will starve to death.

They will come out of Jian's body through his urine.

All right.

I've gotten rid of the Gu bugs.

Next, I'll clear the Cold Poison.

We can use inner power to force the poison out.

Yes.

But not now.

Tomorrow noon is the time when the Yang energy is the strongest.

During that time, let's gather all our strength.

We might be able to save him.

But the Cold Poison has penetrated deep into his body,

could our inner power able to force the poison out?

- For this, I... - I know your inner power very well.

As long as we work together, we can save Mr. Jian.

All right, I'll get ready.

Silly guy, come with me.

I'm talking about you.

What?

You don't want me to get rid of your Gu Poison?

I want.

Wait for me!

Wicked Woman, where is Miss Ming Yue?

She's feeling unwell... and went back to her room for a rest.

Ming Yue, Jian is saved.

I have gotten rid of my Gu Poison as well.

Tomorrow noon, they're going to force the poison out of Jian's body.

He'll be fine then.

Ye Xiao Xiao and Madam Hei Wu are getting ready for tomorrow.

I'm so happy today, Ming Yue.

I'll prepare some wine. Let's celebrate.

I have something to tell you.

Besides my mother,

there are two most important people in my life.

One of them is Jian.

The other one...

is you.

After Jian has recovered,

I want to go back to Yujiabao with you.

I want to ask your father for permission to marry you.

Although I can't afford the bride price,

I can borrow some money from Jian.

It's my first time meeting them.

We must meticulous and generous.

I don't want your parents...

to have a bad first impression of me.

I'm really bad at these things.

I used to be...

unruly.

I've always wanted to explore the martial world...

and meet all the beauties the world.

But...

after meeting you,

I just want to see you only.

I still remember our time on Puppet Island, it was like a dream.

When we were at Dujuan Bay,

you separated with me.

I felt like I was in prison every day.

I've finally understood that... why do so many people like to draw?

By doing so,

I can draw your portrait on the wall of my house.

I can see you before going to bed.

When I wake up every day, you're the first person I see.

Unfortunately,

I'm poor at drawing.

Come here.

During the time of our separation, I fell for the night.

Because it's only during the night,

I can see the moon.

It reminds me of you.

It's good now.

I can see you every day.

We can live happily ever after.

Ming Yue,

are you willing to spend the rest of your life...

with me?

Be my wife.

Really?

That's great!

From now on, I want to take you to travel.

We'll taste all the delicacies in the world.

We'll visit all the beautiful sceneries in the world.

We'll uphold the good justice.

By then, people in the martial world would praise us as...

The Legendary Zhao.

He's so tall and handsome.

The one next to him...

must be the woman he loves the most.

She's as beautiful as a fairy.

They look good together.

What a perfect match!

Right.

Although this bangle...

does not worth much,

this is the one that my father...

gave it to my mother.

My father told me that...

this bangle...

can only be given to a person once in a lifetime.

Whoever wears it...

is not allowed to take it off.

Are you willing to wear it?

It looks so nice on you.

Remember this.

As a member of the Ten Killing Gate, you can't have feelings,

you can't have friends, not to mention a lover.

Ming Yue, what's wrong with you?

Sit down.

Ming Yue, tonight...

comes with double happiness.

Actually,

I'm not a good drinker.

Ming Yue, if I keep drinking, I'm afraid I'll be drunk.

Tomorrow...

What's wrong with you?

You normally...

I think...

you kissed me just now.

Ming Yue,

I think I've drunk too much.

If your parents know about it,

I'm afraid they won't have a good impression of me.

Miss Ming Yue, I know it's hard to control ourselves at this moment.

But...

I think we need to put up with it.

Mr. Jian is right.

That bad guy is still hiding here.

He's hiding in the dark. We're in the open.

If we can't catch him, he'll find a chance to harm Mr. Jian.

Mr. Jian, take a good rest.

I'll make good use of the trump card that you gave me.

We'll win the war for you.
