satisfied with the range

but his defense plan
extends beyond bullets-

fears that if the dollar

collapses, the cost of basic
necessities will soar,

christine: I was hiding
things under the bed because

I just don't want
to hear his mouth.

And I wouId aIways say to
him what good is the money

gonna be in the bank
if we're not gonna

be abIe to eat.

John: I'II have
a fresh one.

I just got onboard with
her, not too Iong ago.

I know a Iot of
business owners,

I see what they
are going through.

It's getting worse
and worse and worse.

my Mostenburg shotgun.

with you they're gonna

run the other way.

They're gonna say
this woman is crazy.

Narrator: With most of their
savings invested into their

extensive preps, John and
Christine want to do all

they can to protect them so
they are looking for a way

to insure what they have-

christine: We have thousands
and thousands of doIIars

invested in food, now we
have to find a way to

safeIy secure it.

form of a
underground bunker-

christine: In an economic
coIIapse we are not

going to have utiIities.

We might not be
abIe to get fueI,

we have to
preserve our food,

we have to keep it at a
constant temperature.

believe a buried bunker

will give them
several advantages;

it can act as a root cellar,

keeping their food stores
cool and preventing

spoilage, and they can store
their preps off premises,

from plunder-

the bunker can also act as a

temporary home to fall
back to in case their

in there if we have to.

couple can save more money,

they will have to wait

fear any money they earn

will drop in value before
they can use it to buy a

bunker, so they take all
extra cash and use it to buy

alternative currency, which
they believe will not

significantly depreciate-

It is not a matter of if
it's a matter of when.

The new currency John
and I firmIy beIieve,

is going to be goId,
siIver, guns and ammo.

Whats happening?

month Christine and John

head to the local pawn shop
to buy up what they can-

Today, they are in the
market for some silver-

that we save for you guys.

these are good coins,

some of them have
very good dates,

they are in very
good condition.

christine: I'm not saving
money in the savings account

anymore, what's the point?

It's gonna be worthIess.

christine: This is more
sound then paper money.

savings account today gives

a yearly return of
under one percent-

While the value of silver
has nearly tripled since

2008, rising from just

to go to $500 an ounce.

proof container of PVC

piping for the 2,500
dollars worth of silver-

makes the water seaI.

christine: What we're doing
is sort of Iike a time

capsuIe, and what this
is we're gonna bury it.

I think we shouId bury it
on the other side of the

garage, this way we have
the garage as a buffer.

The reason we're choosing
behind the house,

behind the garage to bury
this is if the house in

commandeered, no one is
gonna see us coming from the

rear-end of the property so
we can retrieve our siIver.

We've stiII
going to survive.

Narrator: Christine
estimates they have buried

over thirty thousand
dollars' worth of silver in

small stashes around
their property-

map and that map is secure

You don't want to be digging
