It’s a long story.

It starts from five thousand years ago

when Goddess of Futu Clan,

Qing Yanjing, came to us for help.

Futu Clan’s divine power alone

is not strong enough to fight the Evil Deity.

Only that of the three clans together

can help God of Heaven

to defeat the Evil Deity.

I hope Luo God Clan could help us.

The Evil Deity is too strong.

Even we join forces,

I think the odds are against us.

If the Evil Deity invades us,

and we don’t have our divine power,

how are we going to protect our people?

For self-protection,

Luo God Clan didn’t lend the divine power.

Qing Yanjing had to

use half of her spirit

to seal the Evil Deity.

Since then,

Futu Clan vowed not to associate with Luo God Clan.

Their relationship gone cold.

It said that

because Qing Yanjing

lost half of her spirit,

so when they knew she fell in love with a human,

she couldn’t resist

the leader, Futu Xuan.

She had to be imprisoned

in the Ancestral Tower of Futu Clan.

Where is the exact location of

Futu Clan?

No one knows.

They set barrier

and isolated themselves.

Mu Chen

is a kind person.

He also treats you well.

But if he wants

to revenge his mother.

It will be very bad for Luo God Clan.

I understand.

You

are the leader of Luo God Clan

and the leader of Mu Chen’s enemy.

No one can change the fact.

It’s destiny.

The Great Ruler

Episode 36

I want to hide this from you.

But I think

you deserve to know the truth.

Are you going to blame me?

I don’t know

if I’m going to blame you.

Well,

what should we do?

Mu Chen…

You are asking me?

How should I know?

If your people weren’t so weak,

my mother wouldn’t end up like this.

Grievances between two clans last for years.

We both know that.

Now you are the leader of Luo God Clan.

And you’re asking me how.

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry.

Chen.

Come.

Sit.

What’s wrong?

Do you know that

if Luo God Clan didn’t stand idly by,

my mother wouldn’t lose half of her spirit,

let alone being sealed

in the Ancestral Tower of Futu Clan.

What do you mean?

Five thousand years ago,

Luo God Clan didn’t want to give their

divine power to fight the Evil Deity.

That's why my mother lost a lot of power

when she sealed him.

If not,

how can my mother

be so easily taken away by Futu Clan?

And our family

wouldn’t be separated.

Who

told you this?

Luo Li.

Father,

what should I do?

If it wasn't for their self-preservation,

how could my mother

become their victim?

But now, Luo Li

is the leader of Luo God Clan.

Chen.

I'm as upset and angry as

you are now.

However,

it was five thousand years ago.

Luo Li was not born at that time.

She doesn’t have a choice.

I believe,

at this moment,

the suffering of Luo Li

must be deeper than that of you.

People from Luo God Clan,

why did you

summon me?

Spirit of Luo,

I’m asking you a favor.

Could you tell me

the exact location

of Futu Ancient Clan?

Futu Ancient Clan used a secret method

to cover their tracks.

You need to use your

magic power as your guidance.

But your power is still weak,

are you sure

you want to know their whereabouts?

Please, Spirit of Luo, tell me

the exact location of Futu Ancient Clan.

Luo Li,

are you alright?

What are you doing?

You

summoned Spirit of Luo.

The Summon Magic

costs lots of magic power.

A little distraction

could make you collapse.

Even if you know where they are,

so what?

Do you know what you are doing?

I do.

I want to do my last thing

for Mu Chen.

Luo Li.

Luo Li!

Brother.

Don’t talk. Keep your breath and concentrate.

Use your mind to collect your power.

Where is the tower?

You are…

Jiuyou?

You are in human form.

The normal form for a magic beast

is human.

You don’t know this?

You transfer to human.

You fool.

I told you not to get the Thundering Pearl.

You just don’t listen to me.

If I didn’t swallow it,

we should be dead by now.

Jiuyou,

without you in my spirit,

I feel a little bit empty.

Who is it

that disturbs me in the night?

Jiuyou,

I’m sorry that I came here

in the late night.

It’s you, Li Xuantong.

What do you want?

Say it.

I came here

to ask you a favor.

I hope you could say yes.

You God Clan people

like to beat about the bush.

It's really troublesome.

Besides,

you have to tell the thing first,

so I can say yes or no.

In order to help Mu Chen,

Luo Li cost a lot of power

to summon Spirit of Luo

and got to know the whereabouts of Futu Clan.

I guess they will

go find them together.

But the trip must be very dangerous.

I hope you can

go with them.

So you can

take care of Luo Li.

Luo Li is my friend.

Relax.

I’ll look after her.

Thank you, Jiuyou.

Luo Li!

Greetings to Leader Luo Li.

Greetings to

Leader Luo Li.

No need to be so polite.

I ask you two over in the morning,

to tell you an important thing.

What is it, Leader Luo Li?

Is it related to

the next move of the Evil Deity?

It’s not about the Evil Deity,

but you

and Mu Chen.

Please

tell us the truth.

Luo Li.

Is this real?

I’m sorry.

Leader

Luo Li.

How did you know

the location of Futu Ancient Clan?

My grandfather told me about it when I was young.

In the legacy of Luo God Clan,

there is record of the location of Futu Clan.

I didn't expect to find it.

Hope it can help you

and uncle Mu.

Father.

Father.

Thank you, Leader Luo Li.

Father,

when shall we leave?

Right now.

The Devil-dissipating Circle

is not complete yet.

If we rush to the Futu Ancient Clan,

we delay the process of Devil-dissipating Circle,

and are bound to fall foul of Futu Clan.

We’ll talk about this later.

Now, the most important thing

is to save your mother.

Father,

calm down.

If you are being so indecisive,

I’ll go by myself.

Father.

Don’t you understand?

If we go a day late,

how much more will your mother suffer?

If you insist on going

and delay the progress of Devil-dissipating Circle,

all our previous efforts

will be in vain.

Mother's determination to sacrifice herself

to seal the Evil Deity

will also be in vain.

By then, all creatures

will be under the shadow

of the Evil Deity.

Do you think this is what mother wants to see?

But I…

But I can’t bear it.

I can’t bear to let your mother suffer.

Father,

the Devil-dissipating Circle you’re building

is the most important part of sealing the Evil Deity.

It can’t be delayed.

But…

I’ll go to Futu Ancient Clan

and bring my mother back safely.

Father,

just wait for our family reunion.

Alright.

I’ll go back to Mu Territory

and finish the Devil-dissipating Circle.

I’m counting on you

to save your mother.

Be careful on the way.

Father,

trust me.

I will bring my mother back safely.

Greetings to leader.

No need for formalities.

Leader,

why did you ask us

to come?

I called you

and brother this time,

because I would like

to ask for your help.

Please enlighten us.

Through the Spirit of Luo,

I found out the location of Futu Clan.

Now the Evil Deity is ready to make a move.

I decide to go find the Futu Clan

to resolve the feud between Luo God Clan

and Futu Clan.

Nonsense!

You just succeeded.

Luo God Clan needs to recover.

The Evil Deity

will come back at any time.

How can you leave

at such a critical moment?

Just because I’m the leader,

so I have to go.

I can’t let the Luo God Clan

make the same mistake again.

I must go to the Futu Clan

and ask for their forgiveness.

Join hands with them

to fight against the Evil Deity.

If Futu Clan makes difficulties

and tries to kill you

for revenge,

what then?

If I don’t go

and wait for our doom,

the Evil Deity will kill us all,

what then?

Elder Qingya,

I think leader has a point.

Go away.

Leader,

this time,

are you doing this

for that human boy

Mu Chen again?

As the leader,

I’ll abide by clan’s rules.

Luo Li,

are you ready?

I've been waiting for you for a long time.

If we don’t leave now,

we won’t make it in time.

Where are you going

with leader?

To Futu Clan.

We made a deal,

right?

Yes.

Grandpa Qingya,

I know

this trip is dangerous.

So I ask Jiuyou to come

with me.

We can look after each other.

It’s great that Jiuyou is willing

to go with leader.

Fine.

Please be careful

on the way, leader.

Thank you.

Take care.

Jiuyou,

thank you.

Stop saying that.

Let’s hurry up.

Mu Chen.

Mu Chen.

Where are you going?

To Futu Clan

and save my mother.

Then let’s go together.

You are going there too?

Jiuyou and I are going

to Futu Clan.

As the leader of Luo God Clan,

in face of the Evil Deity’s attack,

it’s my obligation

to resolve the feud

and ask for their forgiveness.

So we can fight against the Evil Deity together.

That’s it?

That’s it.

Don't dillydally.

One for his mother

and one for resolving the feud.

Since you have the same destination,

then we shall go now.

Right.

We three haven’t gone together in a long time.

It reminds me

when we were at North Sect.

Mu Chen,

there’s something

I want to make it clear.

What is it?

I know you want to save your mother badly.

But I hope you don’t

come into conflict with Futu Clan.

After we have

a clear picture of them,

then we make a move.

What's your plan?

I want you to disguise

as a general of Luo God Clan.

It's an easy way to get your mother's information.

All right.

Are you done?

We need to hurry.

[Eye of Cruelty]

[Eye of Expect]

Thank you for helping us

to deal with this crisis.

In the future,

if there’s anything we can do,

just say it.

General Li,

you are too kind.

A Jade Slip Letter from Cangsheng and Qingshan.

What is it about?

Cangsheng and Qingshan have found

Master Xiao Yan and Master Lin Dong.

And they have destroyed

the Eye of Expect and Eye of Cruelty.

Moreover,

they seem to be appreciated by the two masters

and have increased their strength.

Now they are on their way back.

They'll probably arrive in Luo City

later today.

Great.

Now I must go back to Mu Territory

and finish my Devil-dissipating Circle.

Goodbye.

Thank you.

Take care.

While Goddess is away to Futu Clan,

we must enhance

our defense.

So,

Luo Li, Mu Chen

and Jiuyou

go to Futu Clan together.

This time the Evil Deity emerged again.

Alliance with Futu Clan

is a wise choice.

But

Luo Li is injured.

What are you thinking?

Do your job.

I was thinking about

Master Xiao Yan

when he destroyed the Eye of Expect.

So cool.

When will I

be like him?

You?

It’s a long way.

Qian’er,

your body is too weak.

Your power is almost gone.

Go back and rest.

It’s alright.

I’m glad that

I can help.

Qian’er,

let me do this.

Qian’er,

stop.

Leave it to us.

More people,

more power.

So many parts of city wall need to be repaired.

We don’t know when

the Evil Deity will come.

Let work together.

I’ll go check the other side.

Qian’er

Chen.

Chen.

Mother.

Mother!

Mother.

Is this really you?

Mother!

Mother.

Rest assured.

I’ll save you soon.

I won’t let you wait for too long.

By that time,

father,

and Luo Li,

we’ll be together forever.

Mother!

Mo Chen!

Mo Chen,

you dreamed about your mother again.

Don’t worry.

You’ll save your mother.

Are you alright?

I’m fine.

Mu Chen.

It’s a long walk.

Let’s take a rest.

The mountain road here is too steep.

It’s not suitable for rest.

Let’s go a little further.

Jiuyou,

let's hold on a little longer.

Luo Li!

Are you alright?

I’m fine.

Jiuyou,

thank you.

Don’t thank me.

You’re badly injured.

Yet, you are here for him to Futu Clan.

I don't know if I owe you two

in my last life.

It should be his job

to take care of you.

Never mind.

Get some rest.

Luo Li,

you are so weak now.

I’m worried when you arrive at Futu Clan…

It’s alright.

I’m fine.

Luo Li,

are you risking your life to Futu Clan

for me?

That day at the river,

you didn’t mean what you say,

right?

I told you

this time we go to Futu Clan together

because we share the same road.

Nothing more.

No more talking.

Let’s hit the road.

So,

Mu Chen has gone to the Futu Clan.

Yes.

Please

let me lead the Tuling Guards

to Futu Clan

and kill Mu Chen

with the rest of them.

You may leave.

Lord.

I have a plan.

Leave.

Yes.

What is this place?

Is this the entrance of Futu Clan?

The entrance is very secret.

These pillars

are the key to the entrance.

Who are you?

How did you know our place?

I’m Luo Li, the Goddess of Luo God Clan.

I’m here to talk to

your leader for something important.

Please inform your leader.

The Goddess of Luo God Clan?

We hate the Luo God Clan

the most!

Seize them!

This time,

I’m here to resolve the feud.

I mean no harm.

Please,

inform you leader.

[Futu Ancient Clan]

Later,

I’ll go meet the leader myself.

You two

stay here.

Yes, Goddess,

we’ll wait for you here.

Aren’t there three of you?

Why are you alone?

I made them wait outside.

I see.

We Futu Clan

has been living here secretly for years.

Today, the Goddess of Luo God Clan

came here personally.

What do you want?

I’m here to discuss

how to fight against the Evil Deity.

Young lady,

did you forget about it?

Or have all your people lost memory?

When we were fighting against the Evil Deity,

because you were unwilling to lend the divine power,

we had to seal the Evil Deity.

The current situation

is what you planted.

How come you have the courage to talk about

fighting the Evil Deity together?

Because of the mistakes we made back then,

we thought about it

and decided to visit personally.

We don’t want to make the same mistake.

Visit personally

and you thought about it?

Because of your fault,

the Futu Clan

paid such a heavy price.

Luo God Clan

is willing to make it up.

How?

Now it is an indisputable fact that

the Evil Deity is reviving again.

If the lips are gone, the teeth will be cold.

The urgent task is

to work together

against the Evil Deity.

I hope that you

can see the big picture.

You make it sound easy.

Luo God Clan

enjoyed five thousand

years of peace brought by us.

Now you want to make it up.

Then you should do as we did.

Sacrifice your life against the Evil Deity,

instead of

taking this opportunity to drag us down.

Of course,

we’ll sacrifice us to fight against the Evil Deity.

But now,

we don’t have anyone that can compare with

Qing Yanjing of that year.

Neither do you.

If Luo God Clan

can’t defeat the Evil Deity,

do you think the Evil Deity will

cut you lose?

In due course,

not only you won’t enjoy the peace,

but the World

will under

the shadow of the Evil Deity.

Your words

are quite insightful.

You hit the nail on the head.

If the Evil Deity rises,

it will bring all kinds of disasters

to the World.

I’ll call on masters to discuss this.

You shall rest for a few days.

Arrange a room for the Goddess.

Please.

[Eye of Desert]

Another one.

Greetings to the Evil Deity.

Why are you here again?

Aren’t you afraid of my punishment?

Lord.

I’m here today

for a reason.

You better have a good one.

Eye of Desert

and Eye of Whisper.

Liu Mubai,

how did you get them?

When I passed by Luo City,

I heard that Eye of Cruelty

and Eye of Expect were destroyed.

These humans

were trying to get Eye of Desert and Eye of Whisper.

I thought I should

take them back rather than

risk being destroyed

and give them to you.

Very good.

Now speak.

What reward do you want?

I don’t need reward for working

for the Evil Deity.

Put away your humility.

Feel the power of supreme level.

Thank you, my lord.

You sure that’s the Ancestral Tower?

Jiuyou and I went to investigate it.

But we were stopped

by their soldiers.

I have observed.

More soldiers are guarding the Tower

than the border.

Luo Li,

what’s the situation with Futu Xuan?

Futu Xuan agrees

with fighting against

the Evil Deity.

But,

I don’t know his final decision.

I plan to check

again tomorrow

and know better about the situation.

I’ll come with you.

Me too.

Futu Clan is so strange

to us.

We don’t know

what’s going to happen.

I shall go alone.

Since we came here together,

we should advance and retreat together.

Sure.

Mu Chen,

what are you looking at?

Nothing.

This…

This is Futu Clan’s Protection Circle.

Is there any way

to break it?

I’ve only seen

this Circle in ancient books.

It said the Circle was strengthened by

masters of each generation.

Each overlying

contains one master’s

unique understanding to the Circle.

If I don’t know well

about each master’s spell,

then I can’t break it.
