Episode 25

[My Sassy Girl]

Why have you come to see me so late?

I have something to ask you.

You have a question.

Have you seen the new flyers that have been circulated in the city?

Were you curious about that?

Whether I had seen it or not?

I am curious about the person who circulated them.

You speak as if I would know who it is.

I want to know about...

Prince Chuseong.

You will regret knowing.

It does not matter to me.

You will be very hurt.

That is why I have come to you, Your Majesty.

Even if I get hurt...

you will not care, isn't that right?

You shrewd girl.

You take after your mother after all.

They say you cannot fool blood.

Prince Chuseong...

had a relationship with your mother, who was kicked out.

Also, he tried to cover up that crime, started a rebellion, and ended up dying.

That was why your mother was deposed.

This is what everyone has kept from you all this time.

It is the truth.

It is Ghost Mask!

You must be very shocked.

I told you.

I said you would regret it.

Are you telling me to believe that nonsense?

I'm sure you do not want to believe it.

However, don't you think there must be a reason she was deposed?

Do not try to know anything more.

The more you dig into Prince Chuseong and your mother...

it will become hell for you.

Whether it will be hell or not, I will know once I meet Prince Chuseong.

Do you not know that he is already dead?

They say he has returned as a ghost called Ghost Mask.

How much resentment must he hold that he has returned as a ghost?

Be careful, Your Majesty.

What do you mean by that?

Wouldn't you know the meaning of that best, Your Majesty?

Your Majesty.

That girl...

What does that girl know?

She is most likely just testing you.

Prince Chuseong.

No... look into Ghost Mask now!

Yes, Your Majesty.

You lost him?

He was shooting his arrows, then just like that he disappeared like a ghost.

Stop bringing up ghosts.

Are you suggesting that Ghost Mask is really the ghost of Prince Chuseong?

It is not Prince Chuseong.

It is probably one of his followers.

But they all died--

There is one who is still alive.

Just one.

I am referring to Wol Myung.

It cannot be Wol Myung though.

There is one thing that is bothering me.

When Ghost Mask appeared...

my men saw Young Master Gyeon.

Young Master Gyeon?

Mother!

Mother, please do not go.

Since I will be gone...

you must take care of Father and Grandmother.

Do you understand?

Looks like I need to buy you persimmons.

It seems like you did not sleep well.

Thank you, Young Master Gyeon.

Is something wrong?

What that court lady told you...

the thing you could not bear to tell me...

it was about Prince Chuseong, wasn't it?

So I am correct.

Your Highness.

I am all right.

Even in her final moments at the palace

my mother was more worried about Father and Grandmother.

Someone like that in an illicit affair?

No matter what anyone says, I trust my mother.

I will prove her innocence.

Also, all those who put my mother in that position...

I will make them pay for it.

It will work out that way.

Where is Her Highness?

She is in the garden talking to Young Master Gyeon.

Should I tell her you are here for her?

No.

I will wait.

I need to find Ghost Mask.

People say that he is Prince Chuseong.

Last night, he showed up at the home of the Minister of Personnel.

Minister of Personnel?

He has been to the home of the Minister of the Left and others.

He is pressuring them somehow.

However, I believe he may have been injured by an arrow.

I saw a trail of his blood.

When you are at the clinic, look for someone with that kind of wound.

All right, I will search through the patients.

I will look into it too.

Why are they talking for so long?

Oh, she's coming.

Your Highness!

Officer Kang.

The Office of Internal Audit is guarding me because of Ghost Mask.

I'm sorry. Did you wait long?

No, I did not.

Let's get going.

Young Master Gyeon, take good care of Wonja today.

Yes. Travel safely.

Young Master Gyeon.

It has been a long time.

I hear you are busy trying to catch Ghost Mask.

You worked hard to catch the Minister of Finance.

Are you planning to head in that direction now?

Why don't you work in the Office of Internal Audit then?

I can speak to the king on your behalf.

Thank you for your kind words.

They say you lose the rabbit you have while trying to catch another.

I am saying you should not lose your job as Wonja's teacher.

It is not right for a scholar to ignore an injustice.

I will take care of myself, so do not worry too much.

I am saying all of this for your own benefit.

Do not be so offended.

Of course not.

However, I do have one question to ask.

I heard Ghost Mask appeared at your home.

Is that true?

That is a baseless rumor.

Then be careful.

They say Ghost Mask is visiting the homes of government ministers.

Your home could be next, Minister.

Have you arrived, my lord?

It seems we have a rat in the house.

Pardon me? A rat?

Keep the servants' mouths shut.

If the affairs of my home get out again, I will cut out your tongue first.

Yes, my lord.

Are you home?

Are you planning to starve to death?

You only need to do what I ask of you.

I told you no.

And I told you that I cannot end it.

What did you say?

Father!

I... trust you, Father.

Draconis resina, maple tree resin, or Huang tang...

Has anyone bought these medicines?

Are you talking about medicines to stop bleeding?

Yes.

I don't know. It's hard to recall.

Or perhaps...

was there someone hit with an arrow?

What? An arrow?

There was no one like that.

Did anyone come in yesterday or today with a cut?

A cut?

Your Highness.

Officer Kang, what is wrong?

What do I do?

Please forgive me.

Why would you need forgiveness when you saved me from burning my hand?

Thank you for earlier.

It is my duty to protect you.

I only did my job.

You are so rigid. That, in itself, is an illness.

Officer Kang.

What is it?

I'm here to see the Minister of Personnel.

I was ordered not to allow anyone to enter.

I am here from the Internal Office of Audit to investigate.

Move aside.

Ghost Mask?

We received information that he was here.

Why would he come here?

The reason... is something you would know.

Are you suggesting that I am hiding something?

Please return. I have nothing more to say.

If you need our protection, please let us know.

They are hiding the fact that Ghost Mask came by?

Yes, Your Majesty.

You must capture him alive.

It would be difficult for him to distribute that many flyers alone.

We may be able to catch Ghost Mask if we find out how he does it.

I will give you absolute power over the investigation of Ghost Mask.

Your Majesty.

Find Ghost Mask before they do.

Why are you so surprised?

Where did you get that?

- Over there. - This is a limited item!

Ghost Mask is a breath of fresh air to us all.

He's in the east and the west.

The Minister of the Left sits above the King and Ghost Mask sits above him.

Corruption here and corruption there.

He's back from hell to punish those who reek of corruption.

They are very trendy these days, so I got one too.

Buy one while you can.

First, Min Yoo Hwan and Scarface...

This time, it's Ghost Mask.

You...

have a lot of greed for reward money!

Why, you...

Run!

How dare you sell those masks with the current state of affairs?

If you are going to make them, you should make good ones.

We are going to seize all of these.

Get rid of all of this and take him away.

All right.

No, these are my masks.

Take this from me.

I will see you next time.

Hey, wait!

You seem too old to be playing with things like this.

You're old enough to know that it's a crime to buy these.

What is the punishment for bribery?

Why are you suddenly asking me that?

Give me whatever you have.

Hey!

I think you are all old enough to know it's a crime to accept bribes.

Mal Geum.

Should this good-looking boyfriend of yours read your palm?

You know how to read palms?

Of course. Let me see.

Looking at your lifeline...

it seems you will be blessed and meet a handsome man.

What is it?

Isn't that Mal Geum?

Who is Mal Geum?

Da Yeon's maid.

Oh my world!

Oh my, her hand.

Look at those two.

Mal Geum?

Oh my! You didn't know?

Young Master Se Ho and she were holding hands like this.

They were going all out.

You should go now.

You go first.

No, you first.

When this handsome guy says to do it...

just listen to me.

- Then I'll get going. - Go, go.

Mal Geum.

Yes?

She really is pretty.

Lady.

Follow me.

Young... Young Master!

What happened to the thing I asked you to look into?

Just go in for now.

I asked some of the servants of the Minister of Personnel.

Ghost Mask shot an arrow at that house.

And...

there was a letter attached to it.

Letter? What letter?

What did it say?

"Sa Pil Gwi Jung."

"In Gwa Eung Bo."

"Things gone astray will return to their place."

Are you looking for me?

No, I was looking for Ghost Mask.

Should I be angry or happy?

Are you jealous of Ghost Mask right now?

Since you're still looking for me, you have not find him today.

How about you, Your Highness?

I looked all day, but I could not find him.

Ghost Mask sent a message to the Minister of Personnel.

"Sa Pil Gwi Jung, In Gwa Eung Bo."

He sent a letter.

"Sa Pil Gwi Jung, In Gwa Eung Bo."

I am sure he sent one to the Minister to the Left.

However, he is denying that Ghost Mask came by.

I am certain that Ghost Mask knows something about their misdeeds.

The princess did what?

She claimed that Brother will be the king's son-in-law.

She told Da Yeon to stay away from him.

Da Yeon is sick in bed because of that trauma.

Really?

Da Yeon told me never to tell anyone.

I am only telling you, Mother.

That darn princess...

The bigger problem than the princess is...

my brother.

What about him?

I am certain he likes the princess too.

Seriously, you!

He nearly ate me alive when I said some bad things about her.

He is refusing to go to Jeonju because of her.

Did you just get here?

Why?

Father is waiting for you.

The king will request your resignation.

Father.

I will leave the government as well.

I cannot do as you say. Why are you being this way?

Did I not ask you to trust and watch over me?

We will move within the month, so prepare for it.

Father.

I told you not to get close to the princess.

I warned you, so what have you been thinking?

I love her.

The princess...

That cannot happen.

Love? Gyeon Woo, you...

Brother, are you truly insane?

I am even considering marriage.

I told you that you cannot!

Are you really considering becoming the king's son-in-law?

Do you know what that means?

You will never hold a government job.

It does not matter.

Oh, oh...

What kind of crisis is this?

Mother.

Oh, what am I to do?

Oh, Gyeon Woo! Oh dear.

He knows about the misdeeds of the Minister of the Left...
