after a major oil spill
in Santa Barbara, California.

The first Earth Day
was a tremendous success,

with everyday citizens demonstrating

how they could help save the planet

by volunteering at home,
at school, or at the office.

If I could get my school
to celebrate Earth Day,

then I could save the planet.

But if we don't continue its legacy

by making some serious changes soon,

it may be too late to save the planet.
