Empress Dowager,

General A Nu has returned to court and requests admittance.

Hurry and bring him in.

Calling General A Nu for admittance into the hall.

Greetings, your Majesty.

Stand

Thank you, your Majesty.

General, you've come at the right time.

I've just been discussing with Official Xiang

the inheritance of the throne.

I don't know what the General's views on this matter are?

then

i dare to say

As there is no heir in the Imperial family,

how about we follow the example of Emperors Yao and Shun,

and promote the idea of selecting someone else to inherit the throne?

I don't know what your views are, your Majesty?

i have thought of it

But who to give the throne to

in order for everyone to accept and respect such a decision?

Right now, the whole land is split up.

heroes have all taken sides.

It would be best if the newly appointed Emperor

is highly courageous and skilled on the battlefield,

in order to reinforce the status of our state in such a chaotic time.

Speaking of courage and military skill...

after the death of General Hai Tao,

there has been no one else in my court to succeed him.

The one to be the Emperor must be able to stable the country

and fight to end war.

If they are only skilled in the military field,

I'm afraid, the people will not be convinced.

Your Majesty is absolutely right

Since the Kingdom of Northern Han has been established,

the throne

should be inherited by an heir of the Liu bloodline

for it to be legitimate.

This way, those within and outside of the Imperial Court will have trust and faith.

i ask you

to let 2nd prince, lian xi, take it

Haven't I already said?

He's unwilling to sit on this throne.

It's not that the 2nd Prince detests the throne,

but rather

he can't let go of the hatred in his heart.

chenger once said

between family, hate must be dropped

stop objecting eachother

at my age

i wont go against him

Only.. this child

and I have shared such a deep hatred.

if i try to convince him

it will only make things worse

Why don't you, Official Xiang

The gall bladder of the peacock.. crane poison?

Empress Dowager.

Is there really no hope?

The only way

is one life for another.

One life for another.

Yes.

You woke up.

You made someone suck the poison.

One life for another.

Han and Shu troops

are an inconvenience being stationed in the capital of my kingdom.

So I've already told Liu Lian Xi

and Meng Qi Yun to retreat their troops and leave.

As for that Zhao Kuang Zi, he said that he misses Sister,

so he insists on accompanying Sister for some time.

luckily

the troops from his Kingdom of Zhou

have already retreated.

So I'm letting him staying in the palace for some time.

I didn't even get a chance to thank them, how could you decide this yourself?

Sister.

We've only just settled the rebels.

The whole situation is not yet stable.

I don't want there

to be anyone in this entire Kingdom of Chu

who is able to threaten me.

General Yi.

go to former court officials

to prepare for the day of my coronation.

yes

Sister, what're you thinking about?

These past 7 years

have been like a dream.

there is love, hate, revenge, in the dream

Now that I've awoken from the dream,

enemies are gone

but the ones who loved me

have also left me.

Once again, I'm the Princess of Chu

but im not happy at all

i want to tell qiyou

and go with him to find our lake of yearning.

but hes not here anymore

Sister, don't think anymore.

Don't think about it anymore.

reporting princess

theres a servant

trying to escape

lu qiao

princess forgive me

why r u here

after empress and lian cheng died

i had no where to go

so I came back to this palace.

never thought u

would be back

You're holding onto a bag, where are you planning to go now?

i was thinking

since the Kingdom of Chu is now back in your hands

You guys,

definitely won't spare me.

So.. so I wanted to quickly escape this place.

I have nothing against you.

Why would I lower myself to your level?

But even if princess

won't kill me,

your, your brother

will still kill me

kill u?

Do you have some kind of evidence against Brother Yun?

Yes. The truth is...

the truth is the poison on Liu Lian Cheng's arrow,

it was your brother who poisoned it.

That's not possible!

yundi and lian cheng have no conflicts

why would he harm him?

That poisoned arrow wasn't meant to be for Liu Lian Cheng.

The person he's been wanting to kill all along was Meng Qi You.

How is this possible?

He's always liked Princess Lian Si.

He hated Meng Qi You for stealing his love

so he wanted to kill him

That's not possible!

I don't dare lie to princess.

Actually, back in Northern Han,

he had attempted to kill Meng Qi You a countless number of times.

That day, when he was at the Hua Tian Frontier Pass,

he told me and the empress

in this life

he must let mqy die in his hands

and he was also going to take away his manual on the art of war.

Ma Du Yun!

damn servant, dare disturb me?

Sister, why did you come?

isnt this QY's military book

why do u have it

I... of course, Brother in Law gave it to me.

Didn't you say that you didn't see him before the ferry harbour?

how did he give it to u

did u injure him

and then steal the military manual?!

is it?

who told him not to give me it

who told him to look down on me

He deserved to die!

Ma Du Yun.

You poisoned him, killed his son

he knows it all!

but he forgave u

how could u

why not

he is shu kingdom's ruler

he's an enemy of my kingdom!

I did it to get rid of future threats when I unify the states.

wats wrong with that

As a ruler, one should sever love and friendships.

He is just like Father

and that Liu Lian Cheng.

They weren't heartless enough,

they weren't cruel enough.

Which is why they all had bad endings.

You're not my younger brother.

Brother Yun wouldn't do that to me.

Sister.

Back in the time of the Tang Dynasty,

didn't he also kill his brother

in order to obtain his kingdom and throne?

brother in law?

I, Ma Du Yun, wants to be the rule of the entire world.

whoever dares stop me

whoever goes against me

i will kill them

Qi You.. Qi You... Meng Qi You...

Qi You.. Qi You...

Qi You...

why is she here

She's my Empress.

If she's not here, then where should she be?

Since you like her

why have you poisoned her to this state?

Qi You...

Sister, you really have a kind heart.

Why are you feeling sympathetic for your own enermy?

wat did u say

im saying

that day when you went to persuade Northern Han to retreat,

it was her

who made the carriage man

ruin the carriage, killing ur child

how do u know

Did you team up?

Sister, don't say that.

Didn't I kill her son as well

to take revenge for you and my nephew?

Now that Brother in Law has also gone,

the road to the underworld isn't so lonely

with father and son in each other's company.

child, dont leave

Son...

Don't worry. You still have many chances

to give me a son.

Sister. What is this?

where are the officials

It's not time yet, so I told them to come later.

Let us speak as brother and sister first.

u sure are a princess

Although you are the Princess of the state, Sister

does it need to be decided by you as to when I will be coronated?

will be coronated

Brother Yun, don't misunderstand.

im happy for u

we've finally retrieved Chu

and fulfilled our parents wishes

I want to be place th crown upon you personally

and welcome u to the throne

are u not even willing

to fulfil this little wish

then thank you sister

sister, you.. why

im your brother

u arent

In order to fulfil Father and Mother's last wishes,

I put in all efforts to have you revive the kingdom.

But you harmed Lian Cheng.

You harmed Qi You.

You harmed my child.

In the future, you will harm the world.

You're not a part of the Ma family.

Mother and Father don't have a son like you!

Sister... I'm in a lot of pain.

Yun Er is in a lot of pain.

I admit my wrongdoings.

Sister, save me.

Save me!

It's too late... it's too late now.

But don't worry.

On the road to the underworld,

you won't be alone.

Sister...

Sister, don't leave!

Sister, don't leave!

Save me.

I'm your most beloved brother!

Sister, don't leave. Sister!

I can't die...

Sister, where are you going?

To accompany your Brother in Law.

Kuang Zi.

I'm giving this miltary manual to you.

I hope this can help you end these troubled times.

And bring happiness and fortune to people of the world.

Qi You.

The end of this river

is it our lake of yearning?

The rise and falls,

7 years in the blink of an eye.

Qi You.

Perhaps, from the very moment we met,

our ending was already determined.

But I'm still thankful to the Heavens

for letting us accompany one another in these troubled times, sharing such deep love and thoughts of yearning.

I won't give up my life and plead for the next

because in this life,

as long as I am still alive,

we won't have ever separated.
