Original subtitles

Yeah!

Previously on Survivor...

You always think I'm trying to interrogate you.

- I'm like, "No, dude." - Got you.

The Brady relationship is Uber high maintenance.

- I... - You don't need to ask Carter. You don't need to ask me.

- We're good. - Very good.

I've had enough of being bossed around.

I am

so ready to flip.

"It can only be played by you

"and you can only play it

for the two other players with you right now."

- We need each other, 'cause it's getting spooky right now. - I know.

"The tethered idol has

"a breaking point. If the two other players

"are both voted out of the game,

it becomes a fully powered idol."

I don't want to do this.

I do have a hidden immunity idol.

I don't think I can write Devin's name down.

Eighth person voted out of Survivor 51:

Ori.

The tribe has spoken.

Then there were two.

And then there were two.

I know.

Everyone we love gets eviscerated.

Literally, every single one, like...

- I know. - I'm glad you're still here.

I'm so happy you're still here.

Saying goodbye to Ori was one of the hardest goodbyes we've had.

And this is the first time that it didn't just feel

like I was saying goodbye to someone I like and an ally,

but crushing a very legitimate

and meaningful dream for someone.

I think saying goodbye to Ori was our declaration

that this is the last friend and ally

we're willing to say goodbye to.

We're not losing anymore, and they're gonna see

a completely different Devin and Jelly.

- I just made a promise to myself at that Tribal Council. - No, we love Ori.

I was like, "He will be my final heartbreak."

It's time for scheming.

- We came to play now. - We came to play now.

- No more... - Y'all left the wrong two.

Exactly. No more

nice twins.

Ori said something to me right before he left.

He said,

"When are you gonna start playing this game for you?"

And that really made me switch from my heart to my head.

And now

I'm going to be logical, a lot more cutthroat,

and I'm going to be playing games that involve

maybe a little bit of scheming,

maybe a little bit

of backstabbing. Who knows?

And a whole lot of lying.

Can I have

- the fake idol? Yes. - Yeah, of course.

Right now, me and Devin are the last two Savu members

standing, and we realize we probably look like

a weak tribe of two

who've just gone defeat after defeat after defeat.

But we have tricks up our sleeve that we are not scared to play.

We have a hidden immunity idol.

We have a really plausible fake immunity idol.

And we have an extra vote.

We got a bag of tricks

just like Rick Devens.

- And we're gonna play 'em. - That's right.

We still got Shots in the Dark, too.

We got options.

We gonna make it work.

That's right.

Even though

it feels great that we're the last two standing,

we have no idea what's next in this game

of permanent uncertainty.

But our wish right now is

anything but an immunity challenge

that we have to compete, just us two,

because if that is the case,

we are definitely in trouble.

Hello, Toka.

- Morning, Jeff. - At the halfway point.

Oh, baby.

Love to see you still smiling.

Yeah.

Morning, Jeff.

All right, Dina.

- Come join us. - Hey.

How's it going?

Getting your first look

at the new Savu tribe.

Ori voted out at the last Tribal Council.

Savu now down to two tribe members.

All right.

Day 13.

Let's review this inaugural season

- of the open era. - It's been crazy.

See how we're doing.

We started with 21 players.

Never done that.

Threw you off a boat. Hadn't done that in a while.

One of you had to spend

a couple of days out of the gate on Exile.

We've had a tribe swap.

We've had tribe members visit each other's camp.

We've had a summit. Done a little bit of everything.

Do you feel

like you are birthing the first season of the open era?

- Absolutely. - Oh, yeah.

- Oh, heck yeah. - This idea that,

in any given season,

anything could happen.

We're gonna continue that today

with something very traditional.

- Oh, okay. - What?

Something so traditional,

it touches every era of Survivor.

Oh, no.

Everybody drop your Buffs. You are merged.

Yes!

Thank you!

Let's do it!

Let's do it!

Yes!

Oh, my God.

Bring 'em out, bring 'em out,

- bring 'em out, bring 'em out. - Here you go.

- Yes! - Whoo!

Take a Buff, pass it down, and form

one long line.

Oh, my God.

- We done did it. - We did it.

Oh, it's beautiful.

It smells delicious.

I want to eat this.

All right.

Look at this.

- Fresh Buffs. - Wow. - Whoo!

Kristin, tell me about this phase of the game,

because obviously we have now shifted from the tribe phase

- to the individual phase. - Yeah.

What does that mean for the player?

I'm gonna tell you what my mindset is.

That's all I can really speak to is,

we played as tribes,

and we were playing as strong as we possibly could.

And now we have to rely on those relationships.

Like, are those relationships

still strong? I hope so.

You can't get through it on your own,

so now you have to look backward and look forward

and be in the moment all at the same time.

Jelly, maybe this is just subconscious,

but you came in down here

with Devin.

I said go anywhere. You went

to the farthest end of this line.

You know,

I love Devin, but our work together

is a struggle bus.

- Yeah, that's true. - You know, we love each other,

but I need to get on a new bus.

Pretty ASAP.

And hopefully this Buff is that new bus for me.

So, to celebrate your merge...

- Oh, my God. Just say it. - Yeah? Yeah?

We're gonna do something that we don't do every season.

In fact, we haven't done this in a long time.

A classic Survivor merge feast.

Where you all sit around the table

- and you eat too much food as you talk about... - Whoo!

- Yes! - You've made it

to the next phase of the game.

This is too good to be true.

It is too good to be true.

Hit me with it, Jeff.

It is the open era.

Yeah.

So it does come with one more layer.

Bit of a caveat.

I love caviar.

And for this layer,

we go to the most recent era, the new era.

You're gonna earn it.

- Yeah. - Of course. - And you're gonna earn it

by doing something that takes us

all the way back to season one.

Oh, no.

Bring it.

- Wow. - Oh, my gosh.

In order to eat at the feast,

you've got to eat your grubs.

Oh, I'm gonna vomit.

In order to eat at the feast,

you've got to eat your grubs.

Oh, my God.

Give me that guy.

- Give me that guy right now. - What?

Jeff.

- Give me that guy. - No.

- I want one, too. Please. - Give me that guy.

- Give me that guy. - Jeff, please.

That's just for you.

Jeff. Jeff.

Wow. Well done.

- Jeff, please. - Wait.

- Do only two people get to eat, then? - No.

- This has nothing to do with anything. - Okay.

This is just merge mania.

- Mom, this is for you. - Whoo!

- These guys are hungry. - Oh, my gosh.

- See, I could go home now... - Save it for the feast.

Jeff, you have no idea.

Watching season one, Borneo,

that was the first season my family and I watched.

And this was our favorite part.

- And I hoped and prayed... - Wow.

That it would come back at some point.

So I'm doing this right now, and it's tough, dude.

This is tough.

But, like,

you just made a little boy's dream come true, man.

So...

thank you.

All right.

Here's how it's gonna work.

You're gonna each have two grubs.

- In order to eat at the feast... - Buddy.

You've got to eat your grubs.

One last thing.

There are only ten spots...

at the feast table,

and there are 13 of you,

which means only

the first ten to get down both their grubs

will eat at the feast.

The last three will not participate at all,

in any fashion.

Oh, my God.

Wow.

Big enough stakes?

- Yes, sir. - You got it. - All right.

- We're gonna draw for spots. - We can do this.

- Here we go. - We can do this.

All right.

Are you ready?

Let's feast.

Let's bring it, dude. I'm ready.

I hate bugs.

Oh, my freaking gosh.

Oh, man.

Let's reveal your grubs. Take off the cover.

Put it underneath.

Oh, my gosh.

- They're not on the plate. - Whoo!

Moving around.

- What do these become? - Food in my stomach.

That's what they become.

Okay. I'm sorry, little guys.

All right, everybody, put your hands behind your back.

I'm gonna count you in.

- Oh, I'm grossed out. - We're looking for

the first ten to finish both their grubs.

Here we go.

Three, two, one...

begin.

Kristin threw hers out. You're out, Kristin.

I got it.

Brady, you're good. Back.

It's disgusting.

Got to get 'em down.

Hey!

Carter, you're good.

Back.

- Mike's good. - Die.

Got to die.

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff!

- Thien An, you're good. You're good. - Jeff, Jeff, Jeff.

- You're good. You're good. - Yes! - Jeff?

You're good.

I can't do it.

We're down to four.

We've got two spots left.

I'm out of it. I'm out of it. I just can't...

Cristian, are you in or out?

- I'm out. - Cristian's out.

Come on, get mean.

Maggie really struggling.

- Do it. Do it. - Get mean.

Come on, y'all. You can do this.

- Aah! - Sharonda drops hers.

Trying to get it down.

You got it. Let's go.

Do it. Do it.

- Maggie, you're good. - Yeah!

- We're looking for one more. - Good job.

We got a showdown, last spot.

- Sharonda, Kilby. - Come on, Brody.

Hey. Come on.

- Get mean. Get mean. - You got it. Let's go.

- You got this, Sharonda. - You got this, Kilby.

Got to get 'em down.

Let me see it.

Kilby.

Way to work, Sharonda.

Go, Sharonda.

Go, girl.

So, Maggie, Devin, Thien An,

Jelly, Carter, Lewis,

Mike, Kilby, Brady and Eric, congratulations.

You got down the grubs in time.

You will enjoy a beautiful merge feast.

Yes.

- Well earned. - Whoo!

Got any more of them grubs, Jeff?

Would you eat more?

If you had 'em, yeah, why not?

I still have mine right there.

There's some back there.

Yeah, take your time, Brady.

My mom's gonna be so proud of me.

So, double-dip? You don't even mind that?

What is so easy about it for you?

Jeff, I need food.

So you tell me it's three bites and a swallow?

Oh, Brody, I could get through a human foot, so...

Whoa. Yeah, no, hey,

I don't know if that's legal on international waters,

but there's nothing I wouldn't do to get a full meal today

because this is the hungriest I've ever gone.

Lewis, this will be, really,

your first proper food in 13 days.

Tell me about not just the emotional lift

but the obvious physical boost this will give

- the ten of you. - I mean,

he's having a laugh.

That was the vilest thing I've ever eaten.

And my stomach's still churning. I might still vomit.

So to be honest with you, I'm not even thinking about

the food right now. I'm thinking about

keeping it down.

That's all that's going on in my head.

So we're clearly built

very different.

All right.

Boat's waiting for you.

Head out that way.

I'm starving.

- See y'all. - See you, Jeff.

Enjoy a well-deserved and well-earned

merge feast.

- Whoo! - Oh, man, dude.

I can't wait to eat food.

All right.

Kristin, Sharonda, Cristian,

you're heading back to the old Savu camp.

That is where you're going to live for the rest of this game.

- Okay. - Thank you, Jeff. - Grab your stuff. Head out.

Got nothing for you.

Jeff couldn't just give us a cheeky little merge feast.

He has to give us this manky, minging grub.

Oh, it was just vile.

And making the merge, it sounds all happy and swell,

but it's actually a very, very scary phrase,

because it means

time has come.

And chaos is about to start.

It's one of the most iconic elements of Survivor: The grub.

Let me just... You know what?

I'm gonna save these for you.

Apply to be on Survivor.

Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited.

- Let's go. - Guys, we earned this.

- Let's get up there. - How do we do this?

Because I've never been good with eating slow or sharing.

Oh, man.

Charcuterie!

- Do you want a beer or wine? - Oh, my gosh.

- Can we touch? - Yes!

A lot of us

come out here just hoping or dreaming

that we can even make the merge,

so to have made it now, it's unbelievable.

I'm just feeling very grateful

and grateful that I got both grubs down

and haven't vomited since.

- To the merge. - To the merge. - Here's to the feast.

Whoo!

The game's definitely opened up now.

Everyone kept saying, "Toka strong, Toka strong."

And it's easy to say that when you're wearing yellow,

but now that we're all in the same color,

you see everyone's eyes scanning the field a little bit more,

everyone's eyes opening up a little bit more.

People are here to play.

This is not the usual way Survivor works.

There's a ton of cross-pollination

in terms of who knows who,

who's met who,

who's talked to who.

And so it's all kind of coming together

now that we've hit merge.

And now my game plan is just,

keep having the conversations,

keep being present, and just don't be the oddball out.

- Wow. - Yo.

Brodies. Brodies. Brodies.

You're telling me there's cold beers

and all these charcuterie boards?

Listen, it's almost too high-class

for my world, but, bro dies, I got down on it just the same.

Whatever could fit in my mouth, I was stuffing in it.

- Wow. - Yo.

I knew I didn't want to sit beside Brady

because he was already getting aggressive with the food.

He already was like,

"I'm gonna bite off people's hands."

And I thought, "I'm gonna sit on the other end."

We've been on the beach together for 13 days.

And so we could use a little separation

just from, you know, personally, his energy

and whatnot.

Anybody want a hermit crab with this?

- No. - Yeah.

No way! No way!

I know.

Still smells bad.

The original Savu tribe...

myself, Kristin and Cristian... were tight from day one.

Kind of talk about how we're gonna attack this merge.

- Yeah. - Yeah, definitely.

I will say the good news up front that I have to bring

is that everyone on Toka...

- Really? - Wow.

Kristin has been a little separated.

She went to the new Toka tribe.

It seems like Kristin is still with us,

and we got to get

this information.

We have to figure out what Kristin knows,

and we have to align ourselves.

With ten people eating at the same time,

I don't think a lot of people will be able

to truly strategize in the way that they would like to.

So, yeah, they can eat,

but we're gonna plan to start marking some names off

and get closer to that million dollars.

Mike is coming to me and telling me things,

so I just know that he's the odd man out

on that Toka tribe.

Good. That's fantastic.

How is Kilby, though?

I think Kilby

probably needs to go soon,

but I think we do need to vote at least once

- with that block. - Yeah, I agree.

So we've got a strong six, I think,

with a couple of numbers we can play with.

Yeah, for sure.

Kristin has been separated from us

for a long time, and getting

information from Toka

is the most important

thing we can share right now,

'cause an alliance of three is very, very powerful.

- What do we think about Eric? - Where's Eric?

I love the guy to death, but I-I've been...

He's a lot.

I truly believe Eric is a loyal alliance member for me,

but his mouth might get him in trouble.

So I have to tell everyone

about my favorite person in the world...

my fiancée Gina.

First date with Gina, my fiancée,

I'm like, "Listen, like, I go all out for Halloween."

So, like, last year we were the Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

Went to Sleepy Hollow

with my fiancée and friends for my birthday.

When I met Gina, Gina had never listened to Purple Rain before.

She's home with the cats.

I am a proud cat dad.

I love my little bubulina babies.

Seeing Eric again,

you know, he's a big personality, Brody,

and he's a, he's a theatric one, you know?

I guess you could say that about me,

but I view myself as a little bit authentic.

I kind of see Brody putting on a show, and,

I think that may come back to bite him.

To quote Uncle Jun from The Sopranos,

"Pass me the peppers."

Oh. Did it change?

Gotcha.

Okay.

With the tethered idol,

I know that I'm the only one that can play it.

And I can play it only on Sharonda or Ori.

Ori is out of the game.

I also know that if Sharonda goes out of the game,

it's a fully-fledged idol just for me.

That's powerful.

What I think is even more powerful

is having an ally in the game that I can trust

to the bitter end.

So I can't give her the idol to play,

but I can have her hold that idol

and have as much information as I have,

which I believe really builds trust with us.

- Okay. - Okay? Done.

- I appreciate that. - We're in this all the way.

- All the way. You got it? - We got this. We got this. Yeah.

- No secrets between us. - All right.

Absolutely not.

Kristin gave me

the freaking idol.

She said, at any point in time,

if I feel like she should play it,

I can just hand it to her and she'll play it on me.

And that's big-time.

In Survivor, it's so hard to trust people.

And knowing that I can fully trust her

at this moment

just makes me feel good to sleep at night.

- Listen, I'm ready. - We got this.

She wants

to play an honest game with me,

and I'm gonna play the same game with her.

So I feel a little good right now.

I have a little security blanket for now.

And that is huge.

Hi, friends.

Oh, my God...

Aw, it's been so lonely.

We made the merge!

Aah!

Oh, my gosh. I'm so happy.

Just when I needed a miracle, a miracle found me.

So glad to meet you.

Oh, my gosh.

- I'm happy you made it... - Hello.

Knowing that I actually made the merge is insane to me.

Like, I am ecstatic,

and I'm just ready for the next step of the game.

But it's really hard to know who's where

and whether or not there are lines drawn.

Right now

there are eight people from the original Toka.

And then you have the Savu,

original Savu.

Seven.

- It's all we need. - Yeah. Yeah.

All right. Good.

If you draw lines in the sand,

and it was Savu and Toka,

the original Toka could easily

just do away with our Savu tribe.

Where do you see yourself with the old Savu?

Old Savu is...

- still strong. - Okay.

As long as you're still riding the wave...

- Yes. Absolutely. - There's a way for us to make this... make a play.

Take down some of that Toka.

I would love that.

Sharonda, day one, was part of the helicopter alliance.

So...

if I'm being transparent, I feel more comfortable

moving forward with the former Savu

than I do with the former Toka.

People are relying on those old tribal connections

to go further in the game

while also trying to maintain their number one position

with certain allies they might have lost along the way.

- All right, Mike. - It's so good to see you.

And for me, that's Mike.

He's someone that

I started this whole experience with on day one.

So what's been going down

- on your beach? - Oh, man.

- A lot. - Really?

- Yeah. - Y'all been winning.

- What could be going down? - A lot.

Thank God for the merge.

I-I really, really needed a merge because

I'm somebody who's in need of more allies right now.

And I feel a little bit on the bottom

of this kind of Toka-strong, rickety subway car

that's barreling down the tracks

and is sure to implode at some point.

I was definitely a prime target if we had to go.

Yeah.

It's just that Brady has made

references to, like, the true Tokas,

which doesn't include you and maybe doesn't include Dev.

- No, we didn't think so. - I'm not sure if it includes me. I'm not sure.

I think this is a major hinge point

- in the game, and, like... - 100%.

If those Tokas eliminate somebody like me,

promise you, you're gonna be next.

Okay, well,

I think as long as you maintain

a decent enough relationship with some of these people

to where you have good intel,

- we can potentially shift everything. - Yeah.

We just, you know, got to be smart with it.

I'm way in on that, and I'm with you 100%.

Jelly insinuates that if you and I are in some trouble,

we can flip this thing.

So I'm really curious to see

if the original Savu people

are willing to take in a Jelly and a Mike

and build a little coalition to fight this Toka train.

Don't see me as just, like, "Toka strong, Toka strong."

I'm, like,

- I'm very much open for business. - Cool.

I think that there's a great possibility

that they're looking for a home,

they're looking for a friend, and they need numbers.

Like...

Yeah.

- Wow. - Yeah.

Being able to bond with Mike was music to my ears,

especially when he says

he doesn't really have anyone he's close with.

He's looking for a home. He's looking for a ride.

Like, if you came to me and said,

"I'm positive that I have the numbers to take out a Toka..."

I and potentially some others from-from Toka could potentially

- be interested in that. - You got it.

Look, let's see what we can do then, okay?

- Sounds good. - Yeah, let's make some magic, Mike.

Hell yeah.

If we can pull in people like Mike

and some other Toka members, we could actually

get a majority.

Who do you see yourself working with moving forward?

Oh, girl, that's

- a big question. - Yeah, I know.

- Like, you... - Okay.

- I hope you, too, on me. - Same. Yeah.

And then I feel like Brady would vote with us.

Yeah.

Any time you're on a tribe,

the number one thing is to wrangle the numbers.

Right?

You want to be in the majority,

which means you need reliable people

you can trust voting with you.

Maggie was my guardian angel

on Dina, so that's pretty solid.

Plus I got my pocket vote of Brady

that I think I can pull in there.

It's good to have you back, Brody.

Dude, I'm so excited to be back.

Now that we're back together,

we're like two peas in a pod

and there's nothing that can shake us now.

Brady and I

have had a complicated relationship this game.

I thought he was

my day one, number one, ride-or-die ally.

He ended up casting a vote for me.

That hurt a lot, but I think I'm gonna rope him back in

and we're gonna be tag team champions again.

I trust you completely.

- I really do mean... I think we can run this game. - When you...

When you say number one, I take it seriously,

- 'cause I'm the same way with you... - Yes.

- If you're the same way with me. - No, 100...

Pinky swear, dude. Like...

I feel like we could actually, actually go to the end.

Carter... Carter is a ride-or-die.

You don't have to talk to him much, and he gets it.

No, I think you, me, Carter...

Thien An, Maggie.

I think we can get, potentially, Eric.

I trust that guy completely.

I think you, me, him

- do some damage. - And I think, I think...

- And he's down. And he's down. - Down. I know.

I definitely linked back up with my Brody Kilby

because we had an odd departing, you could call it,

from the Toka beach.

And I felt bad.

He's a great guy, and he's still on my side.

So it felt good to finally sit down

and talk to him and to really kind of hash things out.

I think a big thing we have to realize here is,

Mike's an easy extra vote 'cause he has no allies.

He's gonna go... Yes.

- He's gonna go with the majority. - Yeah.

- I know you guys are close... - No, no, no, we're not...

- I'm not. I'm ready to vote him off yesterday. - Yeah.

Yeah, I think he's really got to go,

- to be honest. - Then let's do him first.

The important thing for me strategically...

rally the numbers and get rid of the people

that I don't have a firm grasp on,

specifically looking

at Mike. Talking to Mike,

you might as well be talking to a wall.

He gives you nothing.

It's a complete waste of time.

And I think he's slowly realizing maybe

he was on the bottom of the old.

Toka tribe.

So his days are numbered.

Come on in.

Come join me.

Wow.

- The final 13. - How exciting.

- Oh, my gosh. - Not bad.

Started with 21.

That is an accomplishment to celebrate.

- You bet. - Yes, it is.

- Sure is. - Nice to see you, Jeff.

Good to see you, Eric.

All right, shall we get to your first

individual immunity challenge?

- Yeah. - Whoo!

First things first, got to take back tribal immunity.

- Oh, man. - Later, Posey.

- Take care of her. - Aw.

I'll take good care.

Thank you.

Aw, man.

They'll be safe and sound with me.

All right.

Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.

For today's challenge,

you're gonna stand on a narrow beam

while balancing a statue at the end of a long pole.

At regular intervals, you will move

farther back on the beam, making it more difficult.

If at any point you drop

or your statue drops, you're out.

Last person left standing wins immunity.

This is the immunity necklace for Survivor 51.

Cool.

Not only will you look good wearing this,

you will feel great walking into Tribal

'cause it means you ain't going home.

- Yeah. - Losers, Tribal Council tonight,

where somebody will be the ninth person voted out

of Survivor 51 and become the first member

- of the jury. - Oh...

Big enough stakes?

- Yeah! - All right, we're gonna draw for spots.

We'll get it on.

Here we go.

All right.

Everybody is in the first position.

You have your pole on your statue.

We got a clean start.

And this challenge is on.

You'll be here for five minutes.

Geez.

And then we'll transition to the next section.

That first section is as wide as this beam gets, and it's narrow.

It's only gonna get more difficult from here.

You can do hard things.

This is all about making sure you have

just the right amount of tension

on that whale.

Sharonda is first out.

You got to be freaking kidding me.

No shot at immunity for tonight.

Sharonda knows this can get you

with one moment of distraction.

Oh, no.

Thien An is out.

We're down to 11.

Good job.

You're in one of the most beautiful spots

in beautiful Fiji.

What a backdrop for day 14 of Survivor 51.

You're competing for a shot at what could be

a $2 million prize.

- That's crazy. - Right now

just focus on this.

Cristian looks like a statue.

Look at him.

- You can do this. - Ten seconds

left in this first stage.

It is not a live transition.

So all you have to do is survive.

Five, four, three,

two, one.

Everybody's good, and you've moved on to the next stage.

Great job, guys.

All right, everyone is reset

now in this second section.

We'll be here for ten minutes,

twice as long, twice as narrow.

It just keeps getting better.

Every day.

All you have to do to see day 15 is outlast everybody else.

That's it.

Eric drops, he's out.

Eric, the third casualty

in this first immunity challenge.

Just lasting five minutes was good.

We are down to ten.

Kilby's whale is at a distinct angle,

but it's still balancing.

I just hope I look cool doing this.

Kilbs.

Kristin's whale is heading the other direction,

but it's still balancing.

Up.

Mike with a lot of movement, but he's holding steady,

keeping it up there.

Where are you feeling it, Mike?

Right shoulder.

Brady with a little bit of movement.

Kilby with a little movement.

Mag very steady this entire challenge.

Cristian fighting to stay in it.

Cristian drops.

Cristian is out.

We are down to nine

left in this challenge.

Devin with movement.

Devin's done a nice job.

That orange whale has been moving a lot.

How you feeling, Brady?

Got it.

Nobody wants to talk in this challenge.

Oh, I'll talk to you, buddy.

Kilby, you want to talk?

Maybe not.

Your toes are falling asleep.

Your arms are going numb.

That pole's getting heavier.

Stay focused.

Ten seconds left in this round.

Then we move to the most narrow part of this beam,

and that's where it's gonna get really fun.

Three, two, one.

Nice work. We will get you reset,

and we will move on to this final phase of this challenge.

All right, everybody is reset now in this final spot,

and this challenge is back on.

We will go here until it's over.

Yeah, this channel's really good.

You are farther away from the whale

and the beam is more narrow,

so it's more difficult in every way.

Now you're gonna be feeling it, too.

Yep.

All right, Carter.

Carter drops. He's out.

No shot at immunity tonight.

Wow.

One little tweak,

one body movement, and it's over.

Kilby drops. He's out.

You're gonna earn it right here.

You are going to have to dig in

because you're gonna want to give up.

Geez, the shakes.

Come on.

Come on.

Devin drops.

He's out.

Maggie drops right behind Devin. She's out.

We're down to five.

Brady steps off, and he's out.

Frustration.

We are down to four.

Good job, Brady boy.

Okay.

Thanks.

Jelly.

- Jelly drops... - That's all right.

And we are down to three.

It is now Mike,

Kristin and Lewis fighting

for that first individual immunity.

Kristin's whale

now moving but still balanced.

Nice recovery.

I know.

Man, Lewis is leaning hard.

Been in this section for five minutes.

But it doesn't matter

'cause we're going until it's over.

Very few things as sweet as winning

individual immunity, outlasting every other player.

And it won't be Kristin.

Kristin drops, and we have a showdown.

It is Mike versus Lewis

for the first individual immunity win of the season.

Now you got to really dig in.

You got to outlast one person.

Little bit of movement on the end with Lewis.

It's gonna come down to just a little bit of movement

or somebody falling off the beam.

That's all it's gonna take.

Keep going.

Both looking great. Great job.

Been up here a long time.

Good job, boys.

Oof.

Lewis drops, and this challenge

is over.

Mike has won the first

individual immunity of Survivor 51.

- Good job, Mike. - You, too. Awesome work.

Will live to see another day.

What a great finish.

That was a battle.

- Go for it. - Appreciate you, bro.

Oh, man.

I'm shaking all over.

Mike, come on over.

- Wow. - Wow.

This is what it feels like?

- Oh, this is big. - Whoo!

All right,

so let's talk about this.

First individual win of the season, first of the open era,

but most importantly guarantees you're not going home tonight.

Tell me why that's so important with 13 maniacs in this game.

You know,

I-I've played sports my whole life,

and I feel like I've always done it

with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder

'cause I've never been the biggest guy, the strongest guy,

none of that. I've always felt like I was an underdog.

That was, like, how I was locking in there.

All right, Mike is safe tonight at Tribal Council,

cannot be voted out of this game.

As for the rest of you,

after 14 days, somebody will be

the ninth person voted out of Survivor 51.

Grab your stuff, head out. I'll see you tonight at Tribal.

- Congrats. - Thanks, Jeff.

- Good job, Mike. - Thanks, guys.

Great job, Mike.

Mike was going to be the vote.

He was going home, but Survivor proves

there's no easy votes 'cause that guy

is not on the chopping block anymore.

Well, I have to go back to the drawing board

because the playbook's been kind of thrown out here.

Good for Mike. Kind of bad for me.

Hopefully, I figure it out.

Congrats, Mike.

Yeah, Mike.

- Congratulations, dude. - First immunity.

- Thank you so much. - Awesome.

Not half bad?

That's not too bad right there.

I mean, that's some nice jewelry for the day.

I-I wouldn't mind just keeping it for a little while.

I'll say this. You know,

yesterday I was saying

I need some more social capital around here

to start to make some bigger moves.

Today I kind of feel like I am the social capital.

Congratulations once again, dude.

Thank you. I appreciate it, dude.

When I saw that Mike had won,

I actually was very happy, you know,

'cause Mike is someone

I am building a genuine relationship with

and a working relationship with.

He was the dude that came to me the other day

saying he was ready to make a big move.

I love what you say about, like, take out a bigger threat.

The question is, who would that be?

You tell me.

Like, Brady first comes to mind...

- Yeah. - Because he's a big guy,

he's a big presence.

Then again, I think about, like,

is he someone that we could work with?

If there's anything I've learned,

you got to stay where the power lies.

And when someone is immune,

they have more wiggle room to make moves

'cause no one can fire a shot at them.

So if you're looking to take a swing...

and if you have the numbers to do it...

So that's kind of how

I'm viewing Mike right now is, he's sort of

my shield where I can be his consigliere

while he's the don calling the shot tonight.

Mike and I just talked about

who he thinks would be, like, the two big Tokas to take out.

And he says Kilby or Brady.

Okay. This is my problem.

Kilby doesn't trust you.

I don't, I don't doubt that.

After Kilby burned me at that Linnea vote,

I'm very well aware that Kilby is a very dangerous player.

- I-I dig Kilby. - Kilby's cool and everything.

But, like, dude is gaming.

Every time we're talking on Dina Beach,

he was just trying to paint the picture

of, like, you being the target.

Eric tried to throw Kilby under the bus.

That was kind of a red flag to me because.

Kilby said that Eric was probably his closest Savu member

from the Dina tribe.

So it just kind of showed how frantic he was.

And I watched him

talk to probably five people in five

different minutes, you know? So he's bouncing all around.

You can tell how uneasy he is, he's widely outnumbered, and

he hasn't really done anything to build other allies

other than, I guess, turn on the person

who might have been his closest ally from Toka.

Eric just buried Kilby to me.

- Who did? - Eric.

Oh, yeah?

So...

But if they pull in

one person, like Mike, who they possibly could,

it's not gonna work.

I am suspicious

that Kristin has something from Exile, and

to be clear, I want to flush whatever Kristin has.

But because I made a big move over at the Dina camp,

I'm hoping to step back but underlyingly,

like, move votes

the direction I want them to go.

Everyone can see that Kristin's a huge threat.

It is so obvious.

Everyone loves her.

Her knowledge and her wisdom is very impressive.

And her personality is just wonderful.

But, you know,

I don't really want to play with her.

What is it?

We have to all be rock-solid.

- Yeah. - Yes, we just need seven.

Goddang it, all our games are on this.

Kristin's the biggest threat.

She's the white whale. We got to get her.

If it's leaning Kristin,

this might be one of the best shots

to get her out before she uses anything.

We're actually gonna go.

- Kristin. - Kristin?

- Yeah. - Really?

There's eight of us. Me, Carter,

you, Dev,

Lewis, Maggie, Jelly...

- Thien An. - Thien An.

Okay.

Apparently, this whole Eric thing is a decoy.

Kristin is the real vote.

That would be a disaster for my game,

but it's an entirely possible scenario tonight.

I've made a really good bond with Kristin,

and I'm hoping that that can continue.

But I do know that

you can't win the game without taking big swings,

and I am ready to take a big swing.

I've talked to Eric, and I know he'll be down

to do something big.

- He told me he was. - Yeah.

I already feel better with the Savu people.

Yeah, yeah.

- Like, I... - They want you and me

and Dev to join them.

If me, him and you

flip with Savu...

Savu stays strong, we take out.

- Brady. - I like that.

I do, too, Mike.

I would be very proud of that vote.

Me, too.

Something about going further

in this game than Brady speaks to me.

Brady brings a level

of toxicity to this game that no one needs.

He's always trying to push his agenda

and take control of the game completely.

So, in my perfect Survivor world,

Brady is walking out tonight.

Mike is wanting

the four old Savu...

then me, you and him...

and we flip the votes onto Brady.

I like a Brady blindside.

If everyone is down for that plan, I will go in on it.

I need to talk to Sharonda.

- Nice. - Mike wants me, him and Devin...

to vote with former Savu...

to do a move on Brady.

I'm down.

Wow. What a bomb that was dropped.

Jelly has an idol, which is insane,

and she wants to vote out Brady.

Ka-chow!

Oh, my gosh, I needed to hear that.

This is the thing right now.

They want to flip it

to Brady. I know.

There have been a number of names

floated throughout the day.

What I didn't anticipate was

folks linking up with Mike and

going after Brady.

Brady and I have developed a nice little relationship.

It's not my closest relationship in the game.

So it's more important

that I'm building trust with the group

that I've already been working with.

- We do have it? - Yeah.

Shh.

Well, I... hate that threat.

No, no.

Oh, wait. What?

Just...

- What? - What the freak?

Oh, my gosh, this is so...

Mike sounded like a mob boss.

I mean, he came running into a huddle and said to me,

"It's Brady, and if you don't vote that way, you're next."

And he said, "I got to go."

Takes off. So,

that guy and these bullying tactics.

Mike is screwing the entire plan up

and blowing up everybody's game.

I thought Mike and I were pretty solid.

I've always kind of kept him in the loop.

And today he really broke all that trust, and I think

he's someone I can no longer work with.

Dude.

Talk to me.

- No, Mike, you talk to me. - Talk to me.

Talk to me.

I think you're frustrated right now, Mike.

About what?

About your plan not going according to.

What plan?

- You can't hide it anymore. - I'm not.

I wish I could believe you.

I guess I can say it hurt my feelings.

- You know? - Dude, I'm not, I'm not against you.

- I'm not. - It's all right. It's all right, Mike.

You know, the cards are on the table.

You don't want to listen to me. I don't know what to...

- I don't know what else I can say. - Mike, I can't...

- I can't listen to you. - Dude.

You broke my heart like I was the girl at the prom, you know?

- I'm not breaking your heart. - It's all right.

- I'm not breaking your heart, dude. - It's all right.

- It's all right. - I'm not.

What it came down to is, I guess,

who Kristin was gonna trust, you know?

And you wanted her to trust you, and she didn't.

- She trusted me. - I...

I don't know what to say.

I don't know what to say.

I wouldn't... If I was caught like this, Brody,

I wouldn't know what to say either.

Mike thinks he's cock of the walk right now,

but the second he takes that necklace off,

he's number one on my list.

Just Mike throwing my name under the bus

and saying that I'm, like, voting for Kristin.

He's a piece of garbage.

I told you Kristin trusts me.

She came up to me right after he said it, and I shut it down.

So that's why we're all safe right now is because

I shut it down. He's done.

The second he doesn't win immunity, he's done.

Things just

hit the fan.

We had the numbers to take out Kristin.

Seven. We didn't need to pull in anyone else.

But Brady

goes and tells Mike, who then goes and tells Kristin.

No one can keep their mouth shut.

It is so hard to work with these people.

Y'all blew up the damn plan.

It was supposed to be locked down with us seven.

You can't keep a plan straight here,

but straight has never been my prerogative.

I'm fine with the twists and turns and the, the curves

of things 100%.

I mean, he'd be blowing up all the plans.

- He blows up every single plan. - Every plan.

Which are you doing?

Unfortunately, it put a huge target

onto Brady,

because that's where the information leak came from.

I'm mad that people are scared of this man's emotions.

He's a child.

So we're gonna save people

because of temper tantrums?

- Oh, Brady knows? - Like, he chewed off Mike.

- No, he's not. - No, he's not.

Eric.

- What's up, bro dies? - Yeah?

- Okay. - Unless, unless, unless, hey.

There's a million plans every second.

How do I keep track of 'em all?

Survivor is a wild game, Brody.

It's like the Wild, Wild West out here,

but you're on an island in Fiji.

And it's getting hairy.

I'm checking my pulse.

The heart rate's up. I'm nervous.

I'm excited. I'm ready to throw up.

It's Survivor in real time.

You know, it's no joke.

And, I'm just hoping

that I end up on the right side of it all, Brody.

Wow.

It's a lot of people.

- Oh. Jeff. - Carter,

you're already shaking your head.

If I were a fly on the wall

with a notepad today, I'd be

on my 800th notepad.

Maybe 900. I don't know.

Wow. Maggie, you almost

look like you're in shock.

You know, I'm still processing.

Still processing?

I don't know. I still have so much thinking to do.

So, Kristin, I'm guessing

- it was chaotic. - Absolutely.

It's like a golf ball in a tile bathroom.

Bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing.

It-it has not stopped. It has not stopped.

And it stops for a second, and then it kicks up again.

And then the next plan comes in, and that's the thing.

And you hear about it, and you see it on TV.

I don't think anyone was prepared for the insanity,

like, absolute chaos. This is

permanent uncertainty personified tonight, I think.

So, Mike, if we went to the vote

right now, less than a minute after you walked in...

You wouldn't dare.

Don't-don't try him, dude. Don't try him.

Because it's still being

thought about or percolating

or bouncing around the tile?

Well, look, I can pick off

the-the proceedings here.

A plan was shared with me a little bit late.

You know, I had been part

of a different plan, and things

started bouncing around, like everybody's saying.

And I think, you know, this is a group that

ultimately shares a lot with each other,

and sometimes, you know, that can lead to chaos.

For sure.

Maggie, I don't think you could have had a bigger

- reaction. - Because

no one can keep their mouth shut.

- Exactly. - You know, you try to make plans,

and then they go and tell the plan.

And Mike, I mean,

you could probably speak some truth into that.

And so, you know, it's frustrating.

So, was Mike the one

who was told the plan or who shared the plan?

Well, I don't know. Mike, you tell us. I don't know.

Well, all of the above. I was given a plan.

I'd already been part of a different plan.

I shared the new plan

I was told with somebody who I was trying

to save in order to advance the plan that

- I was part of already, so... - I'm already lost.

A plan was made, a plan was shared,

and then things went haywire.

- I'm still in the dark. - You-you got it right.

That... But that's right.

That's right, and it's

a damn good thing I have this necklace tonight.

I mean, truly, it's saving

my bacon tonight. But honestly,

like, this is a leaky tribe.

Like, I know that I shared a plan today.

It was intentional to advance a different plan.

Everybody else is doing the same thing.

Devin, that's Survivor.

When you share information

with anyone, you risk sharing information

with the wrong person,

whether you're getting information

or giving information that you got.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Like,

we thought there were tribe lines.

And it's more like a web.

Right? And there's this web that is overlapping,

overlapping, overlapping between everybody.

And no one can see through it

because you make a plan, and everybody wants a plus-one.

So then they bring someone to the party,

and then they bring to some party.

And I was begging for someone

just to send fireworks into the sky,

give me a signal

or something to let me know what

- the actual plan was. - Lewis, what's

being described can really scramble your brain

because you can't get any footing at all.

Thirteen people...

is more like 300 fans.

Right? 300 different games going on,

because, like Dev said, that web of interconnectivity.

So it's all about staying connected

with people throughout the chaos.

Who gets left behind? Who keeps on their toes?

- You know what I mean? - So,

Eric, is this gonna be a Tribal

where at some point I just say, "Should we vote?"

- Dude. - Not qui...

- It's too-it's too... I need to... - What the?

I mean, you looking around?

I mean, I-I'm not even sure of that. You know,

I think everyone's still trying to get their bearings.

And it's strange, right? Because back home,

I'm sure people are like, "Well, come on."

"It has to go this way, right?" Because

- everyone at home has the pieces. - Yeah.

Everyone at home sees what's going on.

You know, "Oh, so-and-so said this."

You know, "Sue-and-so said that."

But we have to just go with our perspective.

'Cause you don't have all the information.

Bada-bing, dude.

Brady, how you feeling right now?

Because when everything else is unsettled,

the only thing you can really count on is your gut.

- A hundred percent. - And, you know,

my gut's been wrong more than once out here, Brody.

So when your gut's wrong,

it kind of has you sitting, what do I believe?

What makes me believe somebody?

You know, then it just comes down to who you trust.

That's the chance we take playing Survivor.

And, you know, sitting here, Brody,

listening to everybody talk,

I'm about ready to take that chance.

- Which means what? - I'm...

I'm feeling set and ready to vote.

And, Mike,

the tricky part is when you go up to vote,

you don't know what anyone else has done.

That's right, and that's kind of the nature

of-of a zero-sum individual game, right?

Like, you take your best shot for your own game,

not knowing what everybody else is doing, but assuming

that everybody else is doing what's best for their game.

And a big part of it is convincing people

that you're good for their game, too.

But it's complicated. 13 people

is a lot of permutations, and it gets

very, very complex quite quickly.

Kilby, at a certain point, even if you want

to have a live Tribal like Eric and Jelly

and whoever's talking,

you're going to vote, so what do you do?

Every single person I'm talking to is saying,

"I don't think we have the votes."

Both people are saying it, so nobody wants to be the minority.

It's like a wet noodle. Like, people just, like, wanting to,

like, firmly put their place anywhere,

which then makes a vote impossible.

That's what's causing chaos.

It's really a complete lack of commitment.

I'll push back on that a little bit, because although I'm not

trying to be "noodle-y" or whatever,

this is the merge vote.

This draws lines in the sand.

This determines what happens next.

And so that's the little "noodle-y" area right now.

Brady, are you surprised

that, at no point today, seven

or six or five or eight people got together and said,

"Let's just go here and then we're done"?

You know, I talked with a group of people.

We set a plan.

Tonight, I'm sticking to that plan.

But people want the chaos.

So they try to meander it around.

And when it meanders, it makes people nervous, Brody, and,

as you can tell, this is what happens when people get nervous.

They flip-flop. They chat.

And you got to call the BSers BSers.

And I'm kind of making it vocal to the bro dies,

making it vocal to the tribe, that we talked about something.

That's what I'm doing.

So, Kristin, are these conversations

helping you or complicating things?

I feel like there's a conversation happening.

I like to be part of a conversation.

Come on, Kristin. Join the conversation.

I know. I'll-I'll go have a conversation.

Okay, perfect.

So, Jeff.

Devin, once again, you're in the middle.

Everybody's talking around you.

Listen, and that may just be a theme.

And as long as I stay in these seats,

I'm good. I'm right as rain.

See, you be the narrator. What's happening right now?

So, Sharonda, Eric, Maggie,

Carter and Thien An are having

a conversation that I'm not privy to.

To our right,

things are a little bit more exciting over here.

Like, they're standing up, they're on their feet.

Kilby's in a skirt, you know.

Like, Lewis is looking around, like, Irish, you know.

So, things are happening.

People are moving, things are grooving.

Okay?

Best seat in the house.

Yeah, no, it's busy out here, Brody.

- It's busy. - Jeff, you only get

so much time.

And with 13 people,

you have to divide your attention, and you want

to make sure everyone's getting the equal amount of time.

You don't want to have just that one conversation.

But you know what? It seems like

every Tribal we've had out here

has been one crazy party after another.

And it's very clear we are here to play.

All right.

Well, that looked like the end of a live Tribal.

How are we feeling about voting?

- Ready to go, Jeff. - Yep.

I'd like to end this night.

All right. It is time to vote.

Sharonda, you're up.

What a freaking mess.

I'm in a lot of trouble if this doesn't go my way tonight.

This ain't personal, Brody.

Unfortunately, the guy's name

who I want to write down tonight is wearing the necklace.

Don't ever rat out

when I'm trying to help you and gain your trust.

You cross the vampire, time to get bit.

I'll go tally the votes.

If anybody has an advantage or an idol

and you want to play it, now would be the time to do so.

All right, I'll read the votes.

First vote:

Brady.

Eric. One vote Brady, one vote Eric.

Brady. Two votes Brady, one vote Eric.

Eric. We're tied again. Two votes Brady,

two votes Eric.

Brady. That's three votes Brady, two votes Eric.

Eric.

We're tied again. Three votes Brady,

three votes Eric.

Brady.

That's four votes Brady, three votes Eric.

Eric. We're tied again. Four votes Brady,

four votes Eric.

Brady. That's five votes Brady,

four votes Eric.

Brady.

That's six votes Brady, four votes Eric.

Ninth person voted out and the first member of our jury:

Brady. That's seven.

That's enough. Need to bring me your torch.

All right.

Yeah.

Brady, the tribe has spoken.

- Time for you to go. - Okay.

Grab your torches. Head back to camp.

Good night.

"You'll compete in pairs."

Here we go.

Next time on Survivor...

We're in pairs. What does that mean?

It's, like, boom!

This will blow everything up.

Bring on the chaos.

Tonight was a bummer, and I feel like

I left a lot out on the table, you know?

The people who said they were with me weren't.

And millions of dollars are great motivators.

You know, I played Survivor like I wrestle in the ring.

I played hard and I played with passion.

Maybe sometimes too much passion.

You know, definitely made some mistakes, but

had fun doing it.

Very thankful to be a part of it.
