A brief history of slinging.
Velocity. Without it, a slug is just a slug. But sling a slug at 100 miles per
hour and you're ready to rock and roll.
In modern blasters, a slug is inserted in the chamber where electromagnets spin
the centrifuge until it reaches speed.
Pressurized gas ejects the slug out the barrel.
But how did slugs reach velocity before there were blasters?
In prehistoric times, primitive proto-slugs used their own wild
environment to reach speed.
Using earth, air, fire, and water, these industrious elemental slugs found ways
to transform.
The real breakthrough began when the fur-slingers partnered up with slugs.
The initial attempts were... inelegant, but effective.
Working together, slug and slinger refined the process.
Getting better.
More elaborate.
Finally resulting in today's modern blasters.
What does the future of slinging hold?
I can't wait to find out.
