Original subtitles

Duke Hart, time's up. Have you chosen the Queen's blood servant?

We lost the war.

Our king ordered us to sacrifice one daughter to feed on Vampire Queen.

It was supposed to be your sister Cecilia, but she's marrying Prince

Adrian in three days. We can't send her to her death.

Evelyn, you'll take your sister's place as the Queen's blood servant.

But why me?

Because you have no magic. Completely worthless.

Cecilia has awakened her magic.

She's the most valuable daughter we have.

You?

You're good for nothing and disaster follows you everywhere.

Every light in the house went out the day you were born.

You walk past the stables and the warhorses go wild.

Everything you touch breaks.

You're nothing but bad luck.

A jinx on the hearts.

Is that...

Why mother and father don't like me? Who'd love a fool like you? We've fed

you all these years. At least you're finally good for something.

Will the queen give me food every day?

Of course.

She needs you alive to drink your blood.

She won't let you starve.

Then I'll go.

I'll be good.

The Heartblood Servant will be at your palace by tomorrow night.

See that she's there by tomorrow night.

One moment late, and the Queen comes for her herself.

This is all your fault.

Everything went wrong today because of you, you jinx.

Kneel. Atone for your bad luck.

For this family and for your sister.

I'm sorry.

Kneel until dawn. No getting up and no food.

Unless I say so.

Three estates in the north.

The three most profitable shops we own.

All of it goes in your dowry.

The prince wants your magical bloodline. I'll give you the best of everything.

Oh, mother, father, you're the best!

You're our precious daughter.

Of course we want the best for you.

Evelyn's taking my place as the queen's blood servant.

You're sure nobody will find out?

She has no magic, and she can barely string a sentence together.

The Queen won't even look at her twice.

Besides, Seraphina took a silver spear.

Her legs are useless, and she's vicious with it.

Evelyn probably won't survive the wedding night. Even if she dies, no one

will demand justice for her.

Mara goes with her.

She'll find out how sick the Queen really is, and how well the palace is

guarded. All for Prince Adrian.

Perfect.

Let her die in my place.

Cecilia has so much.

Maybe my new home with the Queen will have lots of yummy food too.

If she feeds me, I'll be the best blood servant.

One daughter marries a prince, the other gets fed to vampires.

What kind of father does that?

What do you expect?

She's been an idiot since birth.

He'd never give up his precious eldest, so he sends her.

Mara, keep an eye on her once you reach the palace.

Don't worry, milady.

Everything she says...

Everything she does, you'll hear it all.

Especially if she sneaks up to the Queen or starts asking about the palace.

She won't get a chance to escape.

Cold.

It's so cold.

You can't even lie in a quaffing without making a mess.

You really are bad luck.

Prince Adrian?

So beautiful.

Who is she?

Your Highness, you must be mistaken. That's just my idiot sister.

The spy you wanted is ready. She goes with the blood servant and watches the

queen. I can always count on you.

Your Majesty, the human blood servant is on her way.

How obedient of them.

They've delivered their spy to my door.

My people haven't had a decent meal in ages.

I... Is this the Queen's home?

The butterflies.

So pretty.

You can't even walk straight.

Bump into the Queen like that and nobody can save you.

I'm sorry.

Mara, are you okay?

Don't pretend you care.

This is your fault, Jinx.

Stay near you and something always goes wrong.

They're so pretty.

Get in there, you idiot!

You're the blood servant?

Yes.

No magic.

Your blood is this thin.

Couldn't the humans find a decent blood servant?

So frail.

Was that a trick to make me lower my guard?

Please, don't drink my blood. I'll tell you everything.

Traitors don't get to keep a single drum.

His blood.

Is it all gone?

Why aren't you scared?

I just feel bad for him.

Blood everywhere, and she doesn't even flinch.

She's definitely not what she seems.

The humans must be desperate.

This one wouldn't even fill the Queen's cup.

Her blood's so thin, even our baby baths would turn it down.

Under the ceasefire treaty, House Hart presents Evelyn as Her Majesty's

personal blood servant.

From the day the Queen accepts her, she stays in the palace and serves at Her

Majesty's side.

She gives blood when it's wanted, and she does not leave without permission.

Finally dumped her.

Dead or alive, she's not Lady Cecilia's problem anymore.

Kneel. Now!

Do you want to get me killed?

I said kneel!

Please, your majesty, accept this marriage.

Her majesty wouldn't show herself for some human blood servant.

Let her kneel there and wait to die.

Once the queen drains her, the wedding's over.

That bloodbath's going to drain the idiot dry!

So big and round like a great big bun.

I bet it's yummy This

human spy she thinks she can eat my

blood bat Interesting

It's never let

anyone get close before

You idiot.

Those bats were about to eat you.

And you tried to play with them?

I'm hungry.

I haven't eaten since this morning. Could I eat something?

This is a vampire palace, not your kitchen. Not getting eaten is lucky

enough. Want someone to wait on you?

The wedding's over.

I have to get word out before the Queen finds out who I am.

Stay here and don't touch anything.

Give the Queen one more reason to doubt you and nobody can save you.

The Queen wouldn't starve me, would she?

Not even bread.

Slipping out of the Queen's chambers at midnight to send a messenger bat.

Who are you reporting to?

Talk.

I just came out for water.

Since when do humans fetch water by messenger bat?

I'll tell you everything.

Evelyn is Duke Hart's younger daughter.

Her sister is Prince Adrian's fiancé.

Evelyn came in her place.

To spy on your health and the palace defenses for the prince.

You're still lying.

It's all true.

She's a human spy.

She's here to get close to you and find out the secret of your silver spear

wound.

No! Mercy, your majesty!

Please! You won't tell the truth.

My bats will get it out of you.

Your Majesty, the Silver Spear's blood curse is flaring up again.

Get to the blood pool now.

Fresh blood is the only thing that holds the poison back.

No. Your Majesty, you can't put this off any longer.

Take me to my chambers.

Your chambers? You're going to use that blood servant's blood.

What if she really is the humans' spy?

Once the blood pact is sealed, her blood is bound to mine.

If there's any killing in Int and her, I'll know.

And I'll kill her on the spot.

Then I'll open the blood dungeon now.

If she can't survive the pact, the bats can drain her dry.

Before I kill her, I want to know what she's hiding.

Those wounds are older.

They weren't all inflicted just before the humans sent her here.

Are you going to kill me?

If you're a spy, I'll take your blood first.

Then your body goes in the blood dungeon.

Then can I finish this first?

Did you not hear her? The queen is going to kill you.

I heard.

But if I don't finish it the cake goes to waste I've never had anything this

sweet before Can I finish it before I die?

You have to promise just a little I Need this hand to eat my cake

you're about to die and you're still thinking about food Because I'm still

hungry.

Your Majesty?

They sent you here to die, and you're bargaining with me.

You're interesting.

Your Majesty, the curse is flaring up again.

Your Majesty, does it hurt again?

Stay away from me.

But you're bleeding. I said stay away!

Ow!

That hurts!

Your Majesty.

Your silver spear wound.

You said just a little.

If you want more, can you wait until I finish my cake?

Your blood heals my wounds.

Impossible. Human blood only gives us a little strength for a while.

It has never healed a silver spear wound.

Who are you, really?

I'm Evelyn.

Your Majesty, aren't you supposed to kill me?

I changed my mind.

Take her to bathe and get her clean clothes.

Bandage her wrist first. Keep it dry.

Such a pretty girl.

Her family starved her down to skin and bone, obviously.

One sip from the Queen could kill her.

It's so warm.

I... Is this really mine?

Her Majesty ordered it for you.

Come on.

Her Majesty is waiting.

Even the floor has a blanket.

My feet won't get cold.

Come here.

Your Majesty, her blood does hold back the poison.

But the humans may have set this up as a trap.

Rain.

Yes, your majesty.

Out. Your majesty, she's a human spy.

I can't leave you alone with her.

If I can't handle one human, I don't deserve this throne.

Is this the blood servant's plaque?

A personal blood servant carries her master's mark on her collarbone.

Once you're marked, your blood is mine alone.

That hurts.

What else do you want?

The pack needs one last ritual.

What is it?

First, take off these clothes.

They're in the way.

What?

But it's so warm! I've never had clothes this warm!

Before they sent you here, didn't anyone teach you how to take the mark?

No!

Cecilia only said you'd kill me!

Then she skipped the most important lesson.

Relax.

I'll teach you myself.

No secrets.

Not if you want to be my blood servant.

I'm not nice to look at.

Please don't look.

Who did this to you?

I don't remember.

You don't remember being beaten?

Father said if I don't cry, the punishment ends faster.

I get the clothes Cecilia doesn't want. And the food Mother doesn't want. The

cake you gave me.

It's the first time I ever got a whole piece to myself.

You're a good person.

Everyone says I'm ruthless.

A cold queen who kills without blinking.

Nobody has ever called me good.

Break the seal on the palace

walls.

You're letting the Goyles in?

They'll do what we couldn't.

They'll kill that spy.

Damn it!

This is the plan I gave Rain to kill Evelyn.

No! You gave me cake! You gave me warm clothes!

You're the best person in the whole world!

Move! Don't hurt her!

Evelyn!

Evelyn.

Your Majesty, are you hurt?

Be quiet.

Worry about yourself.

Your Majesty, she could be bait the humans planted.

She's just a blood servant.

You don't need to care this much.

A bait wouldn't have taken that blow for me.

Perhaps she's only buying your trust.

Her blood holds back your curse.

That's never happened in all our history.

That alone isn't normal.

One more word and I'll shut you up myself.

I spoke out of turn.

Don't. Don't hurt the Queen.

Your Majesty, she's just a lowly blood servant.

Don't go soft on her. I heard her.

Out. Your Majesty.

Don't let me say it twice.

Why did you save me?

Your Majesty, where's the stone monster?

I destroyed it.

Then can I eat now?

You nearly died.

And the first thing you say is food.

It's been so long since I ate.

The hearts didn't feed you.

Only Cecilia's leftovers.

Whatever she didn't finish.

Why not just take some yourself?

They'd hit me.

Why? Because I'm a jinx. Everything I touch breaks.

They say I have no magic, that I'm worthless.

So they sent you to marry me in your sister's place.

They said the Queen could afford to feed one human.

They knew exactly how to send you off to die.

From now on, this is your home.

Slow down. No one's taking it from you.

Cecilia used to take my food away.

What are you doing?

I'm not stealing.

I asked what you're hiding.

If I eat it all now, there won't be any tomorrow.

Nobody in this palace will ever take your food.

They said that before too.

I waited all night and nobody ever brought me anything.

From now on, no one lets you go hungry.

Really? You have my word.

Then you can have this.

You shouldn't go hungry either.

Are all these for me?

You don't like them?

I do.

But I can't touch them.

Cecilia says if I break something, I have to kneel.

No one here would dare punish you.

Do I look pretty?

Not bad, I suppose.

Thank you, your majesty.

The human king invites you and Evelyn to a peace banquet.

Decline. We just signed the ceasefire treaty. If you don't attend, the humans

will say we're breaking it.

They sent Evelyn here to die in her sister's place.

And now they want proof of my good faith.

That's exactly why you should go in person.

Otherwise, they'll think your bride has fallen out of favor.

Then we'll go.

I'm going with you?

You're my blood servant.

Of course we go together.

What's this?

An amulet.

If you're in danger, I'll feel it. Then you'll come save me?

Every time?

I will.

Evelyn, you're finally back.

I've missed you so much.

Mother, I'm happy at the palace.

Are you?

Then why is your shoulder still hurt?

Didn't the Queen take care of you?

Why didn't the Queen come with you? She's busy.

She'll be here soon.

Or maybe she doesn't want anyone to know you're her wife.

I heard she only married into the vampire court in her sister's place.

The Queen didn't even come to greet her.

She can't be in favor even there.

At the banquet, tell everyone you only married her in my place.

Don't make the Queen lose face.

But I'm not your replacement.

And the Queen isn't ashamed of me.

She's so good to me.

Pathetic. Dumb and delusional.

That's mine.

This is a royal banquet, not some pig hill at the vampire palace.

But the queen said I could eat. The queen isn't here.

No one cares about you.

To the ceasefire between our kingdoms and to the marriage of the vampire queen

and her human blood servant The

blood servant showed up the Queen's hiding in her palace that crippled Queen

probably can't stand touching a human She's probably just a blood bag.

Honestly, it's a miracle. She's still alive Evelyn, where's your queen?

Is she sick of you already?

She'll come what makes you so sure?

She promised me.

You actually trust that woman?

The Queen said she'd come save me.

Who said I wouldn't come?

Who

gave

you permission to speak of her?

Anyone else think she's a replacement you can throw away?

Don't kill her.

She just has to stop taking my cake. She just has to stop taking my cake.

You hear her?

Yes, I heard.

Sit next to me Now

that her majesty has joined us please follow me to the courtyard for

tonight's gift

A giant bat, captured at the border.

They say vampires can command bats.

Why doesn't the queen's bride show us?

She's human.

Don't you know that, your highness?

But she married the queen. She must be good for more than eating behind a

wheelchair.

She looks better sitting down eating than you do standing up running your

mouth.

It doesn't want to bite anyone.

It's hurting. Stay back. It's already clawed three people.

Could you loosen the chain?

I know how much it hurts to be tied up.

Look, it's not biting me.

If you're scared, take your hand back. A little.

But it's shaking too.

The trainer won't even go near it.

And it lets her pet it?

Maybe marrying into the vampire court really does give her the queen's power.

Evelyn's always liked playing with livestock.

It's just luck.

If you're so special, make it take you for a flight.

That's enough of tonight's gift.

Does it still hurt here?

You were supposed to make her look like a fool.

And now everyone's praising her.

Hunters use these on vampire bats.

The silver needle goes in, and the pain drives them out of their minds.

If she fell from way up there... Then she only has herself to blame for

showing off.

Wait! I'm not ready!

Stay above the courtyard.

If you're scared, call me.

You're making the family proud, Evelyn.

You should wear something nice.

Cecilia, is this for me? Of course.

Keep it on.

I can see the rooftops.

Watch where you're going.

Don't get carried away.

When your legs get better, we can fly up here together.

Hold on to it!

She's lost control!

Shoot that monster down!

The bride is still up there! Lower your crossbows!

Fire one arrow, and you die first.

By my hand.

Hold on to me.

It's not bad.

Something stuck in its neck.

Your Majesty.

Don't look down.

Look at me.

Rain, check its neck.

A silver spike.

Someone deliberately drove it into a frenzy.

Evelyn, how could you wear silver near a vampire beast?

Thank goodness the Queen saved you. You nearly ruined the peace tanquit.

I didn't know there was a spike inside.

That doesn't make it any less your fault.

You've broken everything you touched since you were little.

Now you've nearly killed the Queen.

I'm sorry.

Don't apologize yet.

Where did this come from?

Your Majesty, she's not right in the head. She picks up anything she sees.

We'll discipline her properly.

I'm asking her.

Cecilia gave it to me.

Sweetheart, has the fright confused you?

Right here.

You said I needed pretty jewelry because I was making our family proud.

And you...

Pinned it on me yourself.

I gave her the brooch, but I didn't know there was a silver pike inside.

Your Highness, it came from the palace.

You can vouch for me.

This piece passed through your hands, didn't it?

Your Highness, I was only following orders. Think carefully before you

answer.

Your mother still works on the royal estate.

I switched the brooch.

Someone paid me to sabotage the banquet.

It was you!

You nearly killed my sister!

Who paid you?

Rest assured, Your Majesty.

We'll question her and give you answers.

Guards, take her away.

That brooch hurt someone under my protection.

The witness comes with me.

Of course.

That's settled.

Apologize to your sister. But I told the truth.

You humiliated her in front of everyone.

Haven't you shamed this family enough?

Let go.

We raised you, and this is how you repay us? On your knees.

Apologize to your sister. Stay on your feet.

Who gave you permission to make her kneel?

She's under my protection.

Your Majesty, he's only discipling his own daughter.

Did you remember she was your daughter when you offered her up?

She's still only a blood servant.

Father was afraid she'd forget her manners and offend you.

She's my blood servant.

Her manners are none of your concern.

No one touches her without my permission.

Your wounds opened because you caught me.

You didn't plant that brooch. But you've lost so much blood.

Drink mine.

Then it won't hurt anymore.

Not tonight.

I'll be good. I'll hold still. You've been through enough today.

Bring hot soup and bread and a clean cloak.

I can mend my clothes.

Someone will take care of it.

Why aren't you eating?

Before, if I couldn't work, I didn't get food.

Sit down.

You'll let me stay, even if I don't give you blood?

Yes.

Eat first.

I'm sorry.

There's nothing wrong with the soup. I just can't stop crying.

You don't need to apologize.

I can use this too?

It's yours.

Let

me

help. Finish your food first.

The soup can wait.

Your wounds can't.

I'm the one who's hurt.

Why are you flinching?

It hurts just looking at it.

I used to put ointment on my own wounds in secret.

Blowing on them made it hurt less.

The silver spike bears the royal hunter's mark.

The maid still won't talk.

She's afraid they'll hurt her family.

Find her mother first.

Get her out.

When do we return to our palace?

When we have answers.

Post guards here.

Don't let the hearts near her alone.

Evelyn?

That smell. I've had this before. When?

Cecilia gave it to me.

After I drank it, I...

Kept forgetting things.

Keep the food basket.

Find out who sent it.

Don't touch it.

Look at me.

Take your time. Try to remember.

Cecilia said, I was sick. I needed medicine.

It was sweet and it smelled like flowers.

How long did you take it?

I don't remember.

Sometimes I'd wake up, and it would be time for more.

Then I couldn't understand what my teacher said.

When father asked me questions, I couldn't answer. Stop.

You don't have to remember now.

Was I not always this stupid?

I need to investigate before I can tell you.

Tonight, only eat what comes from here.

If anyone else gives you anything, show me first.

Even if it's from Cecilia?

Show me first.

Even then.

She didn't drink it. She broke the bottle.

The Queen's people seized everything.

She recognized it?

She said she'd had something that smelled like it before.

What exactly have you been hiding from me? She showed some talent as a child.

Father nearly gave her the betrothal to you.

I just quieted her down a little.

And you dared send the same stuff right under the Queen's nose?

She couldn't remember anything.

A few more doses and she'd stop talking out of turn.

The Queen's investigating now.

How do we get out of this?

There's something else.

Mara saw it herself.

Evelyn's blood heals the Queen's silver spear wound.

She drank the blood and the wound closed.

No wonder she'd risk her life for a blood servant.

The girl's blood can heal her.

We need Evelyn back in our hand.

Afraid of your own mother now?

We heard you were hurt.

We've come to take you home for a few days.

We've kept all your things.

Your room's ready for you.

But my room is where you keep the firewood.

Your mother's given you a new room.

We're your family.

Why would we hurt you?

Her wounds are being cared for. Your Majesty, this won't interfere with your

feeding.

We only want our daughter home to keep her mother company.

Silly girl.

How long can you be a blood servant?

Who'll want you when your blood stops tasting good?

Only your parents will look after you for life.

Evelyn, do you want to go home?

Can I...

Say no?

Yes.

I want to stay here.

You're disobeying your own mother.

You have her answer.

Show them out.

Your sister's taking the blame for that brooch.

If the Queen keeps digging, we'll have no choice but to hand her over.

What will happen to Cecilia?

If you won't come with us, don't blame us when she's punished for you.

Cecilia?

Father's handing me over to the Queen.

Evelyn, you know I didn't try to hurt you.

Don't you?

Did Father hit you?

I don't have the Queen protecting me like you do.

Father says someone has to take the blame.

Then I'll tell the Queen.

No!

Her people already took the maid.

Tell her and Father will be arrested too.

Do you want our whole family to suffer?

What can I do?

Father's in the old chapel.

Just... Tell him you don't blame me.

Then he'll let me go.

I need to leave a note.

The Queen will worry if she can't find me.

The withdrawal route uses secret royal passages.

We can only discuss it inside.

Surely you don't want outsiders hearing the terms of our armistice before

they're settled.

Rain, guard the entrance.

Where's father?

Take

off the

amulet. Why?

Still so easy to fool.

I can't.

The Queen said she'd come if I was in danger.

You actually think you matter to her?

She keeps you because your blood is useful.

She didn't drink any today.

She still fed me.

A few pieces of cake and you've forgotten who raised you.

Give that to me!

Will she still come looking for you without this?

Where is Evelyn?

A maid's looking after your blood servant.

No need to worry, your majesty.

Let's discuss the withdrawal first.

This is the royal family's idea of goodwill.

She's harder to handle than you'd think.

We only invited her over, but she wouldn't stop struggling.

You laid hands on her.

She's only a blood servant.

Why get so angry, Your Majesty?

Take me to her.

Kill me, and you'll have to find her yourself.

She's bleeding.

She may not have that long.

The crypt.

Come alone.

Has something happened to Evelyn? Go to the old chapel.

Find the entrance to the crypt.

Your Majesty, I said you must come alone.

And I'll only say this once.

Lead the way.

Your Majesty?

Who hit you?

closer they put something on the floor a

silver

cage left by the royal hunters you recognize it keep

hesitating

and her legs will snap

Let her go.

I'll enter the cage.

But it hurts you too.

You really would throw your life away for a blood servant.

Don't touch it.

Get behind me.

She can leave.

First, hand over three border castles and sign the withdrawal order.

Release her first.

You still think you're in a position to bargain?

Go on.

Cut her wrist.

Fill the cup with her blood.

She's already bleeding.

You can't cut her again. The royal family needs her blood to open the

border seal.

Help his pinus, and father will let you come home.

No more sleeping in the woodshed.

No more leftovers.

Haven't you always wanted father to love you?

Put the knife down.

You're just a blood bag to her, and you feel sorry for her?

She never let me go hungry.

And she never hit me.

So you'd betray your own family?

I don't want to hurt her.

I said no!

You dare shove me?

Please stop hurting her. I should have put enough poison in that medicine to

kill you years ago!

Medicine?

You said it would make me better.

You were always useless.

What difference did it make?

That's why I couldn't remember.

Why I couldn't understand my teacher.

If you weren't an idiot, how would I get Father to save all the best things for

me?

Don't move I'll help you You could have just

obeyed in the first place

Evelyn

let go your hands are bleeding almost one more pull and it'll open

You're giving her blood again!

Mara! Pull the lever!

Lower the stone door.

Seal this place.

Once she's dead, you won't have to be a blood servant.

Let go!

She's still down there! Go down there, and you'll only die with her.

She promised.

She wouldn't leave me behind.

Your Majesty, your legs... Save her first.

Evelyn, wake up.

You haven't had dinner yet.

You hate going hungry, remember?

Got out.

Who told you to jump in?

I called you.

You didn't answer.

I was afraid you'd be down there all alone.

Don't ever do that again.

Then you have to answer me.

Back to our chambers.

Adrian and Cecilia fled to the upper level. Seal the palace. No one gets out.

We've identified the poison in the food basket.

Long-term use damages memory and slows the mind.

The same poison is in her body.

Can you cure her?

We can try.

But she's been poisoned for so long, I can't promise how much she'll recover.

Her fever is caused by her magic, fighting through the poison that

suppressed it.

The antidote can help her survive that struggle.

Cecilia, I won't drink it!

I'm not sick!

It's me.

Listen to my voice.

You're with me. No one's forcing you.

It's really not that medicine? No.

I'll drink it with you.

Her mother's safe.

She's willing to testify that the Prince ordered her to deliver the brooch.

His Highness said he'd have my mother killed if I didn't confess.

What else?

The Duke's household kept years of medicine bills hidden away. Cecilia

signed for every payment.

I

remember.

I wasn't the one who broke those things.

I used to have magic.

Cecilia saw it.

She told me not to tell father.

She said we would surprise him.

Then she brought me medicine every day.

I couldn't remember spells.

I forgot the words in my books, and they called me worthless.

All that time, I thought I just wasn't being good enough.

She was the one in the wrong.

Let's make it stop hurting here too, okay?

She can regrow damaged flesh.

No wonder her blood can heal silver wounds.

That's enough. You need rest.

The prince has taken refuge in the council hall.

He's summoned the nobles and accused us of attacking the palace.

The duke and duchess are there too.

They say you've taken control of Evelyn.

Let them wait.

I'm coming too.

You've only just woken up.

They've had their say for years. This time, it's my turn.

The Queen broke into a restricted royal chamber and attacked our

guards.

This so-called peace was a lie from the start.

Evelyn, you're alive?

Are you disappointed?

Evelyn, come here. Stop defending the vampires. Mother, do you know what

Cecilia made me drink?

What?

A poison that damages memory over time.

Paid for out of the Hart family's accounts.

Year after year. Those are forged.

Everyone knows she's been an idiot since she was little.

I remember now.

You said father would love me once I got better.

But I wasn't sick.

You made me this way.

So you have magic.

What of it?

Was I responsible for all the trouble you caused too?

You unlocked the stables.

You broke mother's mirror and put it in my room.

You knew I couldn't explain what happened.

A family dispute doesn't prove the vampire's innocent.

Then why did a royal crossbow put a bolt in the queen's chest?

The prince gave me the brooch too.

He made me take the blame. He threatened to kill my mother!

Hand over your sword.

It was all her.

She was jealous of her sister.

She told me the vampires had bewitched Evelyn.

You were the one who wanted the Queen's blood to open the border seal.

When did I ever say that?

You even had the withdrawal order ready.

It's hidden in the wine cellar.

we can leave if you don't want to watch i want to hear the rest

adrian

is stripped of his right to the throne take him to the dungeon cecilia will

stand trial for poisoning and conspiracy to attack the queen evelyn you risked

your life to save the queen why won't you save your own sister

Did you stop when I begged you not to hit me?

We didn't know the medicine was poisoned.

Can't you trust your parents just once?

But you knew I was going hungry.

You knew I was hurt.

Cecilia didn't leave all these scars by herself.

Now there's only this left.

Are you sending me back?

No.

From now on, you're no one's offering.

You belong to yourself.

Can I still go home with you?

Yes.

Or you can go anywhere you choose.

You already promised to take me where I want to go.

No bread in your sleeve today?

The kitchen said they're baking more tomorrow.

You found it?

The pieces were in the crypt.

I had a new chain made.

You can walk just fine now.

You don't need my blood anymore.

That's right.

Then why do you still want me to stay?

Because I'd miss you.

I'd miss you too.

We're going now?

Didn't you say we'd see the rooftops together, once my legs healed?

Ready?

This time, I'm not letting go.
