The day had started much like any other
for Lynn Merrick.
A quick breakfast and the long drive into
New York.
Lynn loved living in the suburbs, especially when
she didn't have to fight the early morning
commuter rush.
She liked expensive clothes, having her own car,
jewelry, and a lot of other things that
cost money.
She liked them so much that she went
to work to get them.
Girls in Lynn's profession are called many things
depending upon the place and the circumstance.
But to those in the know, they are
politely referred to as the sex ploiders.
If you had asked any of Lynn's friends
what she did for a living, they would
tell you, well, she worked as a model.
But the work, of course, went far beyond
modeling.
On this particular morning, Lynn's agency had booked
her for an early assignment.
When she saw the apartment building her client
lived in, she knew the fee would be
a good one.
A client might even be a special, and
they paid top dollar for services rendered.
This is a lovely apartment you have.
Thank you.
Can I get you something?
Some breakfast?
Or a drink, perhaps?
Or is it too early?
No, thank you.
I really don't care for anything.
Are you a regular or a special?
I'm special.
Where would you like me to change?
Right in here.
I can
see.
Do you see very well?
No.
I hope
I can type.
It doesn't get upset too easily.
Am I right?
Sometimes.
It's one
of the times.
I'll call you and let you know.
Yes, you do that.
What's your pleasure?
Take your slip off.
I don't have any pants on.
Good.
Take it off.
Move it by the bed.
Now we're going to have some fun.
What are you going to do?
Sorry I'm late.
I got stuck out in traffic.
That's all right.
You still have 45 minutes left.
Should my time start now?
I mean, I'm a steady customer here.
I know you are, Mr. Smith, but rules
are rules.
An extra 15 minutes would only cost you
$10.
Okay.
I'll let you know if I need more
time later.
And Mr. Smith, you do have your camera,
don't you?
Darn, I left it out in the car.
It's parked over at the office.
I'm sorry, but you have to have a
camera.
That's the rule.
Well, you have one around here I could
use?
Yes, I do.
I can let you have this one for
only $10 an hour.
I've only got 40 minutes left.
I'm sorry, but we only rent by the
hour.
Okay.
Mr. Smith?
Yes?
You'll need some film for the camera.
Do I really?
That's the rule.
How much?
$2 a roll.
How many would you like?
I just want one roll.
That's all right, Mr. Smith.
You can pay me on your way out.
Hi, Susie.
I'm sorry I'm late.
I got stuck in traffic.
That's all right, Mr. Smith.
Who are we shooting for today?
One of the big magazines, I guess.
Should we start nude or shall we build
up to it?
No, let's build up to it this time.
Okay.
How's this?
Hold it.
Did you get that one?
How about this one?
Okay.
Okay, we'll get a little more daring now.
How do you like this?
Yeah, it's fine.
Ready?
All right.
Want to help me a little with this?
All right.
Ready?
Do you have anything special you'd like me
to do?
Do you have any poses in mind that
you would like me to get into?
No, you're doing fine right now.
It's a real pleasure to get out of
this.
It's so hot in here.
Could you unhook this for me, sweetie?
Yeah.
Right there.
Okay.
All
right.
The agency
was run much like any other legitimate enterprise.
The girls were never paid directly.
Their clients were carefully screened.
And there was little chance of being arrested.
Or busted, as it's called in the trade.
The agency left no stone unturned in their
grab for a dollar.
The girls who weren't out on assignment worked
in the studio run by the agency.
And this was as close as they came
to being models.
For the most part, the photographic sessions were
composed of professionals and amateurs.
The girls being the professionals.
The agency, however, did insist upon each photographer
using film in his camera.
This would save any lengthy explanations should they
ever be investigated.
Since the agency never specified what type of
cameras could be used, one enterprising motion picture
cameraman found a way to beat them at
their own game.
He not only used film in his camera,
but he used lots of it.
He makes a very good living selling this
footage all over the country.
♪ It's
difficult to tell who works harder in one
of his sessions.
He or his models.
The girls are not only willing, but even
seem to enjoy posing.
For his film.
It's rumored about the agency that these two
girls do on occasion contract for special work.
Without cutting the agency in for a piece
of the action.
And it is, of course, only a rumor.
You see, if it could be proved, the
girls would then be paid a courtesy call
by a couple of the ex-fighters the
agency uses for just such a purpose.
The girls don't worry about this happening.
However, since the only way the agency would
ever be able to catch them at this
extracurricular activity would be for one of them
to talk.
This, of course, wouldn't happen since the girls
are very close to each other.
But that again is another story.
Perhaps one day soon somebody will get the
bright idea to bug the room.
And record the outside arrangements being made.
That will be an interesting day indeed.
THE
END And
hold your stomach in.
Hi, Susie.
Hello, Len.
Len, I'd like you to meet a friend
of mine, Mr. Smith.
You bet you're a model.
You know you're right.
Do you want to work for me sometime?
Sure.
Of course she will, Freddy, but you've only
got 10 minutes left.
What can I do for you, then?
Can I borrow your mink for the weekend?
I'm sorry, but I'm going to be using
it this weekend.
Some other time, maybe.
Okay, just thought I'd ask.
Sorry.
See you again, Mr. Smith.
Yeah, I'm going to make a point of
that.
Yeah, so long, Len.
Goodbye for now.
Would you like to finish up your 10
minutes, Smitty?
I guess not.
Look, don't you ever feel self-conscious, walking
around here without your clothes on?
Are you for real, honey?
What kind of a question is that?
What's the matter with you anyway?
Let's call it quits for the day.
Of course, Mr. Smith, I couldn't think of
not giving you your full-time money's worth.
I'll tell you what, honey.
Why don't you stick around until I get
dressed, and we can go to some nice,
quiet place and have a couple of drinks.
Wouldn't that be fine?
I know.
I've got to go back to the office.
Well, if you really have to, you should,
I guess.
But if you don't, we could have a
couple of drinks together, and, uh, well, then
we'll see, uh, see how you feel after
those few drinks.
You know, that sounds fair enough.
You shall have your wish.
Fine.
They'll probably get more work accomplished at the
office if I don't show up anyway.
They probably will.
Oh, but I've got to leave right afterwards.
Why, honey?
Helen's going to be waiting for me.
Oh, well, anything you say, Smitty, you know
what's best for you, sweetie.
Shall we go?
Hurry up, Pat.
They'll be here any time now.
I'm hungry.
You must have had a late one last
night.
I didn't hear you come in.
Yeah, last night at the fruit growers' convention.
You know, one more big bash before the
little boys go home.
I was in and out of more hotel
rooms.
I know what you mean.
Turn a guy loose once a year, and
it's like he just discovered what it's all
about.
You say.
Whoops, there's the door.
I'll get it.
Well, hello, sugar.
I've got a appointment with you at 3
p.m., I think.
Oh, yes, you're, uh...
My name's George.
Oh, really?
How'd you do?
Make yourself comfortable.
The child will be out in a minute.
Would you care for a beer?
Sure enough.
Sure enough, sugar.
I'll see you out in a moment.
Okay.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
You know
what will change is that your dad asked
me to call the last time he was
out here.
Also changed the contracts the way you wanted
them.
I assume you'll want to take this back
with you tonight.
Yeah, yeah.
I almost forgot when I came up here
for.
You know, these businessmen sure do tuck it
out of the ballot.
I guess they sure can.
Pat, this is George and his friend Bob.
Hello.
Looks like you fellas are right in the
middle of the business conference.
As a matter of fact, we were just
finishing.
Well, you know what they say about all
work and no play.
Well, there you go.
Better room to see what the view looks
like, huh?
Would you like another beer?
No, no, no, thanks.
This is just fine.
Is it too bright in here?
You don't look very comfortable.
No, I'm all right, honestly.
I'm just not used to this kind of
an afternoon.
George's dad is one of our biggest clients,
and you know, when he comes up here,
we like to show him as good a
time as possible.
Well, I know what you mean.
Maybe I'll make my little show for you.
Look, I
have a couple of clients coming in next
Tuesday.
And seeing as, well, seeing how it worked
with George, I'd sort of like to bring
them over.
Well, sure, just call the agency.
I'll give you a card before you leave.
Fine, fine.
What kind of fellows are they?
You know, well, very young and energetic.
And, well, I guess if you're available and,
uh.
Ellie.
Ellie.
And one more, that'd be fine.
Yeah, well, let me see.
I could call, uh, Susie, or I could
call Lynn.
She's a fun kid.
Lynn?
Small world.
My wife's name is Lynn.
Well, Lynn isn't much of the housewife type,
but kind of kooky.
But, you know, we're nice people, good people.
Well, I guess that'll be all right.
Then the three of us can get together,
and we'll have a ball.
Will you, uh, get him to relax a
little bit?
I'd like another beer.
Sure.
Thanks.
Any time.
Yeah.
Well, why don't you show me where the
bedroom is?
Oh, look, Susie, I'm sorry.
I just don't want to dance, that's all.
Well, that's all right if you don't want
to dance.
But just what did you have in mind,
honey?
Well, well, I, uh, oh, come on, you
know.
Just what is it, honey?
Speak up.
You don't have to be shy around me.
Oh, come on, Susie.
I mean, you know why we came up
here.
I thought we were going to have a
little fun.
Aren't you having fun, honey?
I thought you were.
Well, I guess you're just after my body.
Shows you it just doesn't pay for a
girl to think.
Well, what do you mean by that?
Well, honey, I thought I stimulated you.
Intellectually, of course.
Well, you do, honey.
You really do.
It's just that I, you know, I thought.
Oh, come on, Smitty.
Putting you on.
Listen, honey, I'm going to have a shower
and freshen up.
I'll tell you what.
I'll leave the door open so we can
talk while I'm in there.
OK?
That's a very pretty towel.
Oh, it's just a cheap cotton towel on
a very expensive form.
Oh, you can hang on to it, honey.
You can help me dry off later if
you'd like to.
Say, why don't you read that other chapter?
I'll be out in a minute.
Hey, what's
the matter?
I got soap in my eye, honey.
Gee, thanks.
Hey, the soap's in my eye, baby.
Honey, you're going to get yourself all wet.
You'd better take your suit off first.
Oh, Smitty.
Smitty.
Oh, baby.
Take that thing.
That's a look out for you, baby.
Take that.
Hey.
How was that?
How's that?
How's that?
Hee-haw.
