These are the new versions of the revised versions of the alternate pig hats.
Hmm... kinda sorta too floppy.
[sighs] Huh.

The second version of the revisions of the new design.
[beeps]
Mm, kinda sorta not flashy enough.
This play means a lot to me, so everything has to be perfect!
Hello, my little performance artistes.
How's Three Little Pigs rehearsal? I can't wait to see it tonight.
This is the sequel, Ms. Frizzle.
The pigs own high-rises now,
and the wolf is back for a hurricane of revenge.
Ooh-hoo, it sounds action-tastic!
Let's do this!
[feedback]
Okay, people, take it from the last huffing and puffing!
"And so the three pigs went into hiding from the Big Bad Wolf
in the third pig's lofty brick condo tower,
the 'Sty in the Sky.'" And here comes the wolf now.
What time is it, little pigs?
Uh... noonish?

Great show! Ooh, your parents will be so proud, Keesha!
I hope so. I hope everyone likes it!
-Keesha? -Janet?
I don't mean to be a stickler, I just am.
And I'm afraid your so-called "scenery" is not believable.
This is obviously made of fake bricks.
One real huff and puff, and splat, down it goes, I bet.
[squeaks]
[rumbles]
You expect us to use real bricks?
You used real straw and real sticks, didn't you?
Well, of course, but--
Sorry, but I just can't enjoy things that aren't realistic.
[sighs] I guess my scenery standards are just higher than yours.
She didn't like the bricks, but talking pigs didn't bother her?
Worry not, class!
Never let one person's opinion precipitate on your parade.
She's not just any person. She's a person with a blog.
Janet reviews plays online.
Her blog's called TheatreBuzz because one bad review can cut you down.

[buzzes] Ugh! My feelings!
-[Ralphie] Ugh! -[chuckles]
Maybe she's right. Maybe the show isn't quite right... yet!
Okay, people!
Janet wants realistic, but we'll do even better: scientific!
Scientific?
We'll make an actual brick building that's tougher than any wolf.
Huh.
Tougher than any wind, and tougher than any critic!

You'll see why I picked this particular place.
I love surprises! If they don't bite, sting, or taste like marmalade.
-Ugh! -Yuck.
-[chuckles] -Let's start.
Esteemed director, what is our mission?
We need to give Pig Number Three the sturdiest, strongest,
most wolf-windproof Sty in the Sky ever!
That's the spirit!
My new vision for the Sty in the Sky can be summed up in one word!
-"Loud"? -Heavy!
We need real bricks! Heavy bricks!
The heavier, the better!
But bricks? Out here?
What do we have here?
[humming] Wah!
-The Magic School Bus Auto-Brick-a-Mator! -[kids] Wow!

-Where are they being baked and cooled? -It's magic. Just go with it.
Okay, people! Let's stack those bricks!
-[laughs] This is awesome. -Cool!
[laughing]
[grunts] Heavy bricks sound like a great idea...
Until you have to carry them!
Of course they're heavy.
That way, no wolf will ever be able to blow this tower down!
-Okay? -[sighs]
-[humming] -[panting]

[kids continue grunting]
[kids laughing] Cool!
-[DA] Awesome! -[Carlos] Cool!
Yay, we're done!
And now, let's test it!
Excuse me? What do you mean, "test"?
According to my research, engineers don't just hope
their buildings stand up to the wind.
-They test their designs to make sure. -[horn honks]
-Step aside, class, step aside. -[bus beeping]
We're gonna use our favorite bus's fan
to make sure your Sty in the Sky can stand up to high winds
from superstorms to windy wolves!
[fan whirs]
A teeny little breeze? Is that all it can--
[whirring]
[screaming]
[groaning] Uh, never mind.
Ugh!
[groans]
So far, so good.
Uh-oh! So far, so less good.
-[clattering] -[DA] It's raining bricks!
The Sty in the Sky can handle a few missing bricks, but this is too many!
-Look out! -[Ralphie] Jump, guys!
Unless you want bricks for brains!
-Watch out! -[gasps]
[all coughing]
Big Bad Janet, one...
Sty in the Sky, zero.
Well, class. I... I have to say
-that was... amazing! -Huh?
-What? -I thought it was a disaster.
But, Tim, first of all...
it was loud, which is always great, and second,
we learned so much!
[DA] Ms. Frizzle,
I mean this in the most respectful way, but, huh?
She means we can learn from our mistakes.
Really? That means I should've learned lots over the years.
-And yet... eh. -[giggles]
So now we do know how to make the Sty in the Sky so it won't fall down!
Keesha, I had a couple thoughts for a new Sty design.
As Pig Three, my character has a few ideas.
-The second act could use trims. -Special effects!
-I have another idea! -Thank you, really, all of you.
But I'm the director.
The only way to make this work is to do it my way.
But other people have ideas.
That's terrific. And they can use them when they direct their own plays.
Okay, guys, listen up. We need to build the Sty in the Sky strong!
With bricks stuck together to make it really solid and rigid!
-Not bad. -Hmm. Yeah.
-Cool! -[Frizzle] Stuck together, huh?
Sounds like you need some...
[all] Goop?
No, not goop, it's magic mortar!
Got it. All right, let's grab a brick,
slap some goop on it, and get to work. We need these walls to be good and solid!
Work fast, guys!
Ms. Frizzle says magic mortar sets almost instantly!
[grunts] Now she tells us.
Did I mention this also comes with a Shingle Spitter? Well, it does.
[switch clicks]
Oh, good. So we get to make the roof, too.
I know, isn't it great?
Let's go, everyone! Bricks, mortar, shingles!
Bricks, mortar, shingles!

[Keesha] That wasn't so bad, was it? Guys?
I'm so tired my eyelashes hurt.
I'm so tired my shoelaces hurt.

[bus horn honking]
[beeping]
Okay, folks, let's get testing!
[whirs]
It's holding up pretty well so far.
Super well!
Yeah, the rigid walls are holding together.
-But why is the roof rattling so much? -[wood rattles]
Ah. Good question. Let's find out!
Hey, bus, I'm gonna need a box of uh, J99-dash-17s, please.
You're going to see things in a whole new way
with these wonderful, wowza, Win-D 3-D glasses!
[Ralphie] We can see the wind! Red for fast, blue for slow.
Why don't you check out that roof?
[Keesha] The wind over the roof is going fast...
[DA] But the air inside's protected from the wind.
It's hardly moving.
Huh, I wonder what that's reminding me of...
[Jyoti] Look what's happening to the air over the airplane wings!
[DA] According to my research, air goes faster over a wing than under,
because the wing is curved on top.
So the air underneath pushes the wing up!
The roof of the building is trying to fly like an airplane wing?
What an uplifting idea!
Whoa! Look at the corners!
[Ralphie] The swirling there is out of control!
Oh, no! Without the roof, there are a lot more weak spots!
I dunno, do you think that mortar will-- [gasps]
Hold?
Making things windproof is tougher than we thought.
Ooh, all these beautiful mistakes, kids!
Isn't it fabulous?
Maybe to you, but to me, it's a disaster!
-We have to start again. -Okay, but this time, can--
All right, folks, we need mortar and better bricks!
A new roof! A new everything!
[all groan]
Guys, the show must go on!
Yeah, but I'm not sure I can.
Me, neither.
Can you change the bus back, Ms. Frizzle? I think we want to go home.
Yeah, we're done.
Guys, wait!
You're my crew! You can't just give up!
-We want to go home. -But if you'll just let me explain!
[rumbling]
Huh?
Whoa! [yelps]
No! Where's the stop button on this thing?
-[beeps] -[whirring slows]
Now. Like I was saying, the play is so important to me
because it's a story my parents used to tell me when I was little--
[buzzing]
-What? -Huh?
What's happening?
Actually, Keesha, you didn't press the stop button.
-I didn't? -Nope.
-You pushed the "Get Rooted" button! -[beeps]
-[kids] "Get Rooted"? -[yells]
[gasps]
[whirring]
-[Keesha] Whoa! -[yelling]
[kids yelling]
-[Carlos grunting] -[DA yelling]
Where is everybody?
[Keesha gasps] No way!
[Frizzle] Well, you did want them to stay.
[DA] We can't move!
-[kids] Whoa! -[DA] What's with the wind?
-Ooh, here it is. Right on time! -What's on time?
It's the surprise I was telling you about. It's perfect for a final wind test.
The weather report says that today, this is the country's most blustery bluff.
[wind roars]
And we're all... stuck here?
[Arnold] We're doomed!
There must be a "Get Unrooted" button here someplace!
[beeping]
[buzzing]
Bus, what are you doing? You want everybody to stay as trees?
-[horn honking] -Actually, that's not a bad idea.
But the wind! Nobody can run for cover, or--
Think about it, Keesha. If they could, what would they hide behind?
[Keesha laughing] Trees!
They'll be fine. And so will we. As my uncle Sycamore used to say,
"For countless trees, a storm's a breeze!"
I am on a roll today!
[chuckles] I can hear myself creaking!
So weird. I'm totally drinking through my toes.
[Keesha yelps] The storm's really kicking in!
-Hang on! -Whoa!
Whoa!
We're tipping over!
Help!
Wait! We're not tipping over.
We're swaying.
[Tim] Actually, so are we!
They're not blowing over! They're safe!
They're better than safe, they're having a blast!
-Hey! -Yeah!
-Whee! -This is...
extremely cool!
-Yeah! This is awesome! -Whee! [laughing]
Bring it on, storm, we can take it!
You know, within reason.
I don't get it. How can trees made of wood be stronger than walls made of brick?
Huh, I don't know. Why don't you ask the wind?
Arnold! The wind's sliding right past you!
[laughing] But can you make it stop tickling?
Sounds like someone's ready for a little wind drafting.
Surprise, it's you!
I don't know, Ms. Frizzle. This looks sort of...
Cool!
-[grunts] -Check it out, Keesh!
My trunk is super solid, and I'm not even flexing!
[Tim] But we're round, too, so the wind doesn't push us, it just goes around.
Whoa!
And over top!
See ya, wind!
Hey, Carlos, I'm a sugar maple. What kind of tree are you?
I'm not sure, but thanks for aspen!
[kids] Carlos!
-Whoa! -[Keesha] Ms. Frizzle!
And off we go, with the flow!
Through the leaves...
[Keesha] And out the other side.
[laughing]
[DA] Hey, are those your roots down there, too?
Yep.
And if we hold our roots together, there's no way we'd tip over.
You know, buildings should have roots, too.
They kinda do. Like a basement, or foundation.
Makes sense. If a bunch of weight is underground,
the wind has a way harder time tipping me over.
Sorry, wind. You lose.
That's great and everything, but all this swaying is making me tree-sick.
[Frizzle] Ah, that's your aeroelasticity showing, Arnold.
You mean, swaying with the wind instead of breaking?
[Frizzle] Aero-xactly!
[Frizzle] Okay, class, I'd say the danger's diminished.
[Keesha] Now can I press the "Get Unrooted" button?
[Frizzle] Absolutely. Let's make like a tree and leaf all this behind!
[Keesha giggles]
-It was great! -Yep!
-That was crazy! -[Keesha] Ahem.
Excuse me. Everyone. Could I have your attention?
[groans]
-We should have hidden her megaphone. -[moans]
Um...
Guys, I'm so sorry.
I shouldn't have been stuck on my own ideas.
I should have listened to you more. I should have been more flexible.
Not so rigid.
You mean, aeroelastic?
[chuckles] But mostly, I should have thanked you all for your hard work.
I'm so, so grateful.
Aw. Thank you.
-Aww. -Thanks, Keesh.
But we have a show to put on. Right, guys?
[all cheering] Yeah!
So, who's got ideas?
A Sty in the Sky that's more like a tree.
That starts deep in the ground like roots, or a basement.
If we add something springy to the mortar,
the walls could have aeroelasticity!
You know. Within reason.
We should sell snacks at intermission at a huge markup!
-Then T-shirts! -Theme parks!
-Big-budget Hollywood tent-poles! -With giant billboards on the moon!
I've already got some drawings.
[Keesha] These look perfect!
-Anybody else? -That wind was nothing against the trees!
-I like the idea of a foundation. -We can make it invincible!
[whirring]
Looks good and rounded. How's the springy mortar working?
[grunts]
-Whoa! -Aeroelastic!
Wow, perfect!
Hey, Keesh. I've got an idea for the ending.
What? Are you kidding?
The ending is perfect!
But... let's hear it.
Places, everyone. Top of act one!
[people murmuring]

-Yes, you do. -[clicks]

[ringtone trilling]
[gurgling] Professor Frizzle, PhD, at your service!
[boy] You okay, Professor? You sound funny.
You think I sound funny now, wait till I start making jokes!
Anyway, I have some questions. When the kids became trees,
they were bigger than any I've seen that high on a mountain.
You're right. Usually trees are smaller that far up,
but we wanted to show how strong big trees can be against the wind.
There was a storm in my town, and trees lost branches.
One even fell down. Why?
Well, sometimes a branch of a tree dies and can't sway,
or is simply too weak to handle a really strong wind.
Then it can break off.
If a whole tree dies or weakens, or if it's not well-rooted,
the whole thing can fall right over.
Whoa! That sounds dangerous.
It can be. That's why it's important
to follow instructions when there's a storm.
It's so cool that skyscrapers can sway in the wind,
but don't people get sick from going back and forth like that?
That's why modern skyscrapers have huge, heavy pendulums inside
called "tuned mass dampers."
They slow down the swaying so the people inside hardly notice.
That's amazing! Thanks, Professor! Bye!
Call anytime! Bye!
[motor revs]
