Fishing boat?

They want us to try your practice on a fishing boat?

Great.

Now if Charlie the Toon attacks, we'll be prepared to defend our country.

Alright, now where's that evil fishing boat?

Looks like we got

company.

Sir? We have an unknown aircraft bearing 225 entering the training area.

Commercial airliner?

Negative. It's moving too fast. Try to raise him on numerous frequencies.

Yes, sir.

Unidentified aircraft.

This is the U.S.

minutes, traveling in.

Mark IV?

Pilot, do you have a visual? Can you see the Vogue?

Can you see the Vogue?

Negative.

Hold on.

I think I can see something.

Coming right at us.

Watch me.

Flight leader, do you copy? Over.

Flight leader, do you copy? Over.

Yes, sir.

What did you see? What was it?

Unidentified, sir.

Atlantic Command has reported a silent runner over California airspace.

Nor are I tracking it.

Yes, sir.

There's a plane waiting for you at Andrews.

Yes, sir.

We've deployed a squadron from Nellis. They'll be intercepting the silent

runner in approximately one minute, 45 seconds.

Central 3, Fox 4.

We got it, sir.

Mrs. Walden, you're becoming a regular around here.

You should get your own coffee mug.

What did Tyler do this time?

Shoplifting.

Again?

Margaret caught him hiding some CDs under his shirt.

He doesn't even have a CD player.

What if they're under my shirt?

We have a word for boys like Tyler.

Incorrigible. Yeah, well, we got a word for guys like you. Tyler.

You may need stronger medicine than you have to offer.

Meaning? Meaning juvenile hall in Salt Lake.

Maybe a couple of months in detention might just wake him up.

No way.

Think about what I'm telling you.

Yeah?

What the hell is that?

Get him, boys.

You can forget about this passive-aggressive crap.

It didn't work for your father, and it certainly isn't going to work for you

now.

Well, I think packing up and leaving us would be considered aggressive

-aggressive. Now I have a headache.

Get me the aspirin. It's in the glove compartment.

Tyler, check for the aspirin.

Well, I already checked. There's none in there.

Brother.

A CD player?

What the hell is that?

Give it to me. No, give it to me. Give it to me.

This is weird.

Weird, but cool.

Get in the car.

This is your fault.

Yeah, like I was the one driving.

Get in.

Lieutenant, situation status?

We believe someone either survived the crash or witnessed it. You believe?

We found tracks, blood, fingerprints.

You let him get away.

Did you release my statement?

We've told the local authorities that there was a hijacking of a military

aircraft that crashed into the mountains.

Good.

Let them think we're quarantining off the area as we search for the hijacker.

You did quarantine off the area, didn't you?

Yes, sir.

Thank heaven for small miracles. Amen to that.

The CD player?

I'll return it tomorrow.

Oh, no. I'll return it tomorrow.

I said I'll do it. Are you giving me your word? Look, if I'm such a problem,

why don't you send me to Judy Hall like that fat sheriff said?

Well,

maybe I will. Maybe I have to. Maybe I'll just go in with Dad.

Your father?

Oh, great.

And when you find him, why don't you ask him why he hasn't called you in six

months?

I knew you'd be showing up here.

Agent Wilcox, well, seeing you is nearly as pleasant as having a prostate exam.

This falls under NSA jurisdiction.

You and your men are not welcome.

Oh, by my advice, this is National Park.

It falls under federal protection.

This is our jurisdiction.

So you can either work with us, or you can pack up and play elsewhere.

You want to tell us where your Boy Scouts hid all the goodies?

You know, it's not very neighborly of you keeping secrets from us and all.

Your people have been stonewalling us since we've arrived.

Now, we want to see the debris, and we want to examine the wreckage.

So what's it going to be?

We're all one big Brady Bunch family, aren't we?

Sergeant, show them the debris.

I can't. And why not?

Because... There isn't any. What are you talking about?

Whoever flew that craft set off a self-destruct mechanism that not only

destroyed the ship, but also eliminated all evidence.

You're telling us there's nothing.

No trace metals, no wiring, no debris whatsoever.

Well, I think you hand us a bit of a sugar-coated once upon a time, ain't

you, Sergeant?

I don't think anyone knows what really happened, sir.

Untrue, Sergeant.

At least one person knows.

Excuse me.

At this point, local authorities have set up roadblocks on all major county

outlets. Military sources say the hijacking of the plane led to the crash.

Crews are combing through the wreckage as a statewide search has begun to find

the suspect.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Authorities are all warning area residents to please stay indoors until

the hijacker has been arrested.

and report any suspicious activity to your local police. Again, if you're just

joining us, a military transport plane has just crashed in the Utah National

Forest.

How did you get in here?

Hey!

How did you get in here?

I borrowed your keys.

What do you want?

A place to rest.

If I could just stay here, I'll be gone in the morning.

What happened?

I had a little run-in with your truck.

Truck one.

I've got to call 911.

Who's that?

You know, emergency.

No.

No doctors, no police.

You're the guy that they're looking for.

Don't move.

You're the hijacker.

I am the man they're looking for.

But I'm not a hijacker.

I did steal the craft, but I had to.

I'm not dangerous.

Wouldn't hurt anybody.

You need a doctor.

No.

That plant.

The purple one. I need a leaf.

You want me to get you a plant?

That one. The purple one.

It's not purple.

That's it.

There.

That yellow one over there. I need a piece of its bark.

Where do you see yellow?

The bark, please.

How did that happen?

The...

Letting things give off a specific energy, Nadine.

Our life is connected.

You just have to open your eyes.

How do you know my name?

Your keys.

You just have to open your eyes.

I've got a first aid kit, and it's in the kitchen.

Now I'm going to go get it.

I'll be right back.

This might hurt a little.

I'm going to clean out your wound.

Hey. Hey.

Hey, stop bleeding.

Hey, stop bleeding.

How is that possible?

A little trick I learned when I was with him.

Excuse me?

When I was abducted.

That would be the fever talking.

You haven't been taking care of your plants, Nadine.

My plants?

That's the last of my concerns.

Whoa, come on.

I've got to get you inside. You're going to freeze.

Look it up.

We got a make on that print.

You ain't going to tell me if I actually shared information, are you? I didn't

wait for their report. I ran the print for the Bureau.

Get this.

The print?

It belongs to a guy named Adam MacArthur.

And?

That's it.

We got nothing else on him. No age, height, race, address.

Nothing. Not a zip. His file is classified.

You want to take a guess which department sealed it?

National Security Agency.

Bingo. Colonel Vise.

I'd like a word with you.

Yeah, what do you want?

When were you going to tell me about the punch?

I just found out moments ago myself.

Sure.

Who's Adam McArthur?

Cut in a plane crash back in 1947.

You mean to tell me we're looking for a dead man?

That's right, Wilcox.

We're chasing a ghost.

So why keep this file classified?

That's the big secret about a man who's been dead for 50 years.

You get anything out of him?

I think it's time we call Mother.

Yes, dear.

Oh, hello, sweetie.

Glad you caught me.

I was just leaving to go to my book club meeting.

I need some information.

Tell mother everything.

Adam MacArthur.

Died in the 40s. Uh-huh.

How soon do you need this?

Yesterday.

These clothes belong to my husband.

And maybe these will fit you.

Really mind?

Oh, I hope so.

No. Believe me.

He's not coming back.

Who the hell are you?

You were supposed to be in bed.

Saw car lights outside.

Thought you might want to know the sheriff's coming.

The sheriff?

Good evening.

Sheriff. Sorry to bother you, but have you seen the news this evening?

No, I didn't get a chance.

Well, there's no cause for alarm, but it seems that we've got a criminal on the

loose. Oh, what kind of criminal?

Hijacker.

Well, we haven't seen anyone.

Hey, Sheriff.

I saw someone. Tyler, I don't think the Sheriff has time for you to be messing

with him.

That guy was about six feet tall, all bloody messed up and stuff.

Where'd you see him?

Hey, listen, if you saw something, you've got to tell me.

Up in the hills, near National Park.

I saw him running through the trees, headed for Summit County.

Oh, do you remember anything else, like what he was wearing, what he looked

like?

It was dark.

You two were in the same car, and you didn't tell your mom you saw some guy

with blood all over him.

Did you tell your mom everything, cowboy?

It's like, okay, Tyler, go in the house.

settle down i'm sorry

You said you'd be gone in the morning, and I want you to keep your word.

I will.

How did you do that?

That thing with the dog?

I told you, Nadine, our lives connected.

Good God almighty, look at him.

We got a direct tap to the muddy waters of the Mississippi.

You'd think, after all our years of service, the Bureau could afford to give

us a decent room.

Come on, Van Patten. You got to get into the adventure spirit of country living.

What am I, Indiana Jones?

You've got mail.

Put it down, Superfly. It's just us.

Mother just came through again. You ain't gonna believe this.

It's dated July 4th, 1947.

Independence Day.

Unroutine maneuvers.

The 63rd Squadron mysteriously disappeared 70 miles east of

Melbourne, Florida.

And just in case you don't know where that is, it's in a little old area of

the Atlantic Ocean known as the Bermuda Triangle.

I love eggs.

Well, after you finish eating, I want you gone.

You have my word.

Good. Because I don't want any more trouble.

Are you all right?

Um, yeah.

Yeah. It's just that you look... You look fine.

What is that?

It's a garbage disposal.

In the sink?

Interesting. May I? You want to do the dishes?

Be my guest.

Where do you think you're going?

It's Sunday. I'm boarding.

Like hell you are. You're grounded.

In your dreams. You get your butt back in here, mister.

Well, it's okay for you to play house with a criminal, but if I jack your

lousy CD player... I don't want to hear it.

You aren't going anywhere today.

Sorry.

Will you stop playing with that, please?

I'm just so tired.

I'm so tired of all this fighting. I'm so tired of the yelling.

And I'm so tired of his blaming me for his father leaving.

Maybe I should send him away.

Now come in.

I want to say thanks.

For what?

For what you did last night.

I appreciate it.

Look, I didn't do that for you.

I'm just not a snitch, that's all.

What's this?

What's what?

This gadget you're fiddling with.

My computer?

That's a computer?

You have a computer in your bedroom?

Look at how much do you.

Actually, I don't.

Wow, what can you do with this computer?

I can't do much of anything with it, except play games.

I'm not good at figuring stuff out.

Well, you can learn.

Yeah? You try reading some of those manuals.

You've got to be some kind of techno dude to understand them.

Let's see.

You don't expect me to believe you're reading all that crap.

Hackers. Are government computers safe?

Tyler, do you have a modem?

You mean a modem? Yeah.

Would you mind if I gave it a try?

Knock yourself out.

We've got a breach.

Where? In the mainframe.

That's impossible.

What's he doing?

He's going through the civilian files.

Even the ones we're not supposed to have.

All right, pull the plug on him, damn it. Shut him down.

Now!

Do you have any idea what you just did?

Promise me you will never do this.

Please. I can't even get Pac-Man to work around in the damn thing.

I'm just stupid that way.

I can't learn things.

Of course you can learn things.

I'm dumb.

It's probably some kind of chemical imbalance or something.

We both know that's not true.

It is true.

There's something wrong with me.

I don't fit right.

I'm just a bad kid.

Oh. Who told you that?

Everyone. That's when my dad left us.

That's when my mom wants to send me away.

Freaking defect.

You play baseball.

Sometimes in the summer.

I bet when you first started to play the game, you threw the ball like this.

Well, I wasn't no Mike Piazza, but it was never that bad.

Who? You know, the Dodgers.

Brooklyn, right.

Them bums. The best.

Point is, you got better.

You learned.

You fell in love with the game and you got good at it.

If you start from the heart, there's nothing you can't do, Tyler.

Well, maybe for you, but I'm not like that.

The Sufi mendicants of India, they can sleep on a bed of nails without breaking

their skin.

Hindu yogis, they can stop their heart from beating completely at will.

Your mind is an amazing adventure.

Just waiting to happen.

If you open yourself up to the idea that you can instead of can, you'll amaze

yourself.

I promise.

We just got a message from command. Someone hacked into their mainframe

computer. They traced it?

The perp relayed from several satellites around the world.

They're still unraveling, but they believe it came from somewhere in this

area.

It's him.

It's got to be him.

Didn't I tell you that you were grounded?

I was going to return the CD player.

Is that okay?

Oh.

Don't forget to put on your jacket.

If I die of Tomein, you can have my laptop.

You just don't have an appreciation for fine rural cuisine.

Can I get you anything else?

A bromo.

Hi, son.

Nice jacket.

You really have a thing for my greenhouse, don't you?

Do you like it?

I, um... I love it. Good.

Who are you?

What are they really after you for?

I can't tell you that.

Just puts you in more danger.

You're Adam MacArthur, aren't you?

Your jumpsuit.

Has your name stitched on it.

Is that you?

No.

Yes.

Not anymore.

Something happened to me a long time ago.

I was changed.

And I can't go back to what I was.

Somebody did something to you.

Yes.

I have something very important that I must do.

Things are happening.

Things that could affect the course of history.

And I have to interfere.

Before it's too late and I I Can't explain it to you

But if I'm discovered I won't be able to do anything about it That's why I can't

let those people find me Can I help you

Take care of your garden

What are we going to do?

Come out slowly with your arms there and you won't get hurt.

My chest.

Are you okay?

Go to your boy.

Go. Ma'am, we'd like you to come out first.

That's it, ma'am.

Don't hurt him. Nice and easy.

Don't hurt him.

Don't hurt him. Leave him alone. Don't hurt him.

We'll make him come in after you.

Give me that.

We just need him.

We have him surrounded. He's not going anywhere.

Well, Cox, you read my mind.

But I missed him.

He knocked the barrel away.

Get an ambulance!

Hurry!

Sit

here.

Get an ABG, lights, gases.

Can I get Stanley going up? Uh-huh.

Get some air on him.

Oh, he's going in, Doc.

Standing by.

B-Fib, charge the paddles to 300 joules.

Respirations, I'm tanning shallow.

Stand by.

All right.

Clear. Clear.

Nothing, Doctor.

Lord Stanley.

It's my fault.

I hadn't taken this stupid jacket.

No, it's not your fault. It is.

Just like Dad leaving us, I messed everything up.

We'll send the body to the morgue and have pathology prepared for an autopsy.

We're shipping his ass to Langman, dissecting the SOB.

He's a human being, Colonel Vars.

Not a lab experiment.

You don't know what the hell

he is, Wilcox.

Seems like I'm always asking you f-

It's gonna be okay, baby.

Nothing's ever gonna be okay.

Come on, let's go.

Didn't I tell you it's gonna be okay

Always remember

the family

Just have to open your eyes

Stay tuned for scenes from the next episode of The Visitor.

On future episodes of The Visitor.

What if I told you that I could scientifically calculate the destiny of

mankind? This calculation forecasts the end of life for our entire species.

This could be a very dangerous person. And anyone near him can get caught up in

the crossfires.

Well, you know about that mountain up there. Why do you care?

What's up there is part of the reason I came back.

Are you telling me you have a live extraterrestrial running loose around my

facility? There he is!

The sign has come in the form of a man. The Omega just declared MacArthur their

messenger from the mothership.

Who are you?

Somebody with a destiny to fulfill.

And I am a messenger, but I'm not bringing the message that you're

expecting.

Sunday, after an all-new World's Funniest, in the tradition of Ben-Hur

comes a new hero. Jump in, Marge. Throw the kids. No time for the baby. On The

Simpsons. Then the boys' wrestling team is no place for a girl.

Attaboy, Bobby!

On a brand-new King of the Hill.

And her past is a mystery.

I'm her mother.

And someone wants to keep it that way.

Move away from her! And all-new X-Files. It all starts Sunday at 7, 6 Central.

Now on Fox, the time is near for the millennium.

To maybe save the earth, maybe it's here to destroy it, we don't know yet.

Our life is connected.

You just have to open your eyes. The visitor is from the same people who gave

us Independence Day. It's also Dean Devlin's first television project.

As we explored the story, we said, well, you can't tell it in two hours.

And you really couldn't even tell it in six hours. And that's when we realized

this is an ongoing story.

And that's when we said, okay, let's take a chance. Let's try and do a

television series. And we're rolling.

And like a major motion picture, each episode of The Visitor will be packed

with special effects costing $1.7 million per episode.

This gives us a playground to try new and exciting things that actually

normally you can't afford to do on television.

And I think that people will be surprised on the images they see on this

film, this TV show. They still call it a movie because it feels like that.

Each week, the show will focus on the visitor as he runs from federal agents.

You can catch it every Friday night, 7 o'clock, right here on Fox 10.
