...not really. Ah, wait a minute. Ah, wait a minute. Time, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Young-gang,

wait a minute. Why? You keep saying "please." [Music]

Still, you have to watch it about three times... uh, are you part of the introduction team? [Laughs]

[Applause] The warning I want to write on the first page is

[Laughs] an instruction manual. You know, seriously, you

know, the one that's right at the beginning when a product arrives like this, Bang-nim.

Ah. I'm not a scary person.

Does anyone find it difficult to approach like this? How about you, Young-gwang?

It seems like quite a few people do. At first.

[Music] Actually, if you get to know me , I'm just an ordinary person ,

nothing special . Yes. I'm an ordinary

person, but when they first meet [Music] and see that I'm a bit

reserved and don't smile much [Music], yes

. They think, "Ah, is that person even human?"

Yes. There are quite a few people who think like that.

Even with that blank expression, I'm not [Music] thinking those thoughts at all.

Yes. I don't think about relationships at all; I

'm just a blank person. But since I'm tall and have this expression,

there are a lot of friends who say I'm making a scary face. Still , they said

it was hard to approach at first . But Young-gwang, do you know this?

Right after you debuted with *The World They Live In*, back in

the early days, the feeling I got was [Music]

a sunny smile, a boyfriend-style photo,

that vitamin-like smile, and that refreshing innocence. [Laughs]

But then suddenly Young-gwang appeared, and since he wasn't talking, people were like, "

Oh, I'm thinking of Sunshine Teacher's Mi-smile."

You know, they could be like, "Ah, ah, right, right?" They were thinking things like, "

Yeah, right, right. I should have smiled more.

" Ah, right now [Laughs] Suddenly reflecting, "Ah, why was I like that back then?"

That kind of thing

. I think there were a lot of those moments. But I don't dwell on it.

Rather than thinking "Why did I do that?" Yes. "

Well, I was like that back then," [Music] and

that's it. I think work helped. Working

. I mean, since I have to move on to the next thing anyway, once I finish one, I'm kind of like, "Uh, whatever

." I think working non-stop

like that—without even looking back [laughs], just saying "It's over," and then moving on to the next one—

helped a little more. If you think it's difficult, it

really is difficult, isn't it? It's so hard. Yes. But if you do it without thinking, you just keep doing it [sigh]

. So, I think I'm gradually not thinking that deeply anymore.

The thought that I look handsome. Ah, you know, moments like that.

Like, "Oh, should I write this

down right away?" [laughs] Wait a minute. Right now, the first thing you're writing down

isn't really... Ah, wait a minute

. Ah, wait a minute. Time, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Young-gwang, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Ah, wait

a minute. [laughs] Why, why...

Ah, there isn't really. Actually. I mean, how can you look like this... Ah, this is just a trap. This... this

[laughs] "You're handsome" is the trap.

So, it's a bit arrogant, yes.

Because it's a conceited remark, yes.

I don't think I really think that way. Earlier,

when you appeared as a chaebol in Pinocchio, I actually thought you were really handsome. You were crazy.

I feel like I've been under a curse on the chaebol since then. I'm still playing chaebols and

I'm always a third-generation chaebol, [laughs] but if you count from then,

I've been playing nothing but chaebols for over 10 years of my life. So, do you perhaps really

want to take on roles like homeless people? It's really so... Ah, yes, that's great. It's me. Yes. It's great. Yes.

No, please, how good is what I'm doing right now? If I played a slave,

you know, filming historical dramas in the winter. I can't wear shoes.

You know, that straw. My feet would get frostbite, and I felt like my big toes were going to

break. Fortunately, I don't film historical dramas. [Laughs]

My motor says I can't film historical dramas. Historical dramas are too difficult.

Rain, I have nothing to say about that.

Because it was just a brief moment. Wow, handsome. There isn't really a moment where I feel you're handsome

. Yes. Wow, okay. Uh, well, this is just your opinion.

Do you have any habits or quirks that nobody knows about? When I'm stressed,

I don't answer calls and just go completely off the rails.

But I... if I get stressed... If I don't answer,

no one will know.

How many calls do you get on a day when you don't get many calls? There are times when [Music] nothing comes.

Ah, you're similar to me. Yes. You keep getting spam texts and

don't post much on KakaoTalk, right? Yes.

But when I open it, [Music] it's a group chat.

Yes. It's just things like work

, yes, and so on. Then sometimes

I don't feel like it. I don't feel like I'm going to get almost no contact at all, or that

it's a risk level for me. I don't feel like this is a risk level in human relationships.

Oh, [Music] I wonder if things have gotten better, but since I only do what needs to be done,

that was difficult for me. Maintaining a relationship

with someone . And protecting that

—that really requires tremendous dedication.

Yes. I feel that those people are truly amazing, and

since it's not like we usually just exchange greetings like this during sermons, [Music]

yes. But the third party might feel hurt, you know.

A lot of time has passed, so now I know everything. So I think the people around me aren't going to leave the house anyway

. So I don't contact them.

Yes. But aren't you bored? Yes. I really am never bored at all.

Jima, I do a little bit of work, and before I know it, it's evening.

Yes. I watch TV and see something interesting.

Then it's about 1 AM. Yes.

I have to sleep, and when I wake up, I have to go exercise. Yes.

So, it's busier than you'd think. That is how I [Music]

touch my face and nose. Please write that down. [Laughs]

Face and nose. Why do you touch your face and nose? It’s like a habit; it keeps happening like this,

even after I’ve done my makeup, and I keep doing this and that.

I worked really hard on my hair, but at some point, I find myself touching it, and it changes

. So, I don't really know why

, but maybe I keep finding comfort within myself

. It could be something like that.

It is a state where I feel at ease. It is my own method to reach that

. Yes, that is correct. Right, isn't that it? Then,

in that way, I lower my tension

. When we're filming and everything is set up, you know, right?

Ah, the red action scene is about to come out. That's when you get nervous, you know. [Music] But

from a certain point, this tension becomes natural. It

applies to anyone, and it is rare to find someone who isn't nervous at this moment.

It’s a natural progression , and if I think, "

This tension [music] will dissipate quickly," then it dissipates quickly. Yes. But

the moment I think, "Oh, I shouldn't do this," it drags on [music] longer and goes on in a bad way. If there were a remote control manipulating me,

which button would I press? "Oh, Young-gwang, do this." You just

remembered something. [Laughs]

The button with the book. I’m always sitting at the dining table at restaurants, and I always

[Laughs] put the script down like this. I sit down, look at it for a moment, do something else, and

then think, "Oh, I still have to look at it." Then I sit down again.

So the pace slows down too much. I need to concentrate, but

... yes. It just doesn't start well.

A tip to give to someone seeing me for the first time. Because it’s an instruction manual.

How can it be a blind date if you have to see them three times?

[Laughs] It’s not like that .

Even if you run into each other and just exchange a quick greeting or talk briefly, I think you need to see them at least three times to

get close. But you do need to see them more than three times. But

"at least three times" means at least three times. Yes.

What kind of style do you need to be to become friends with Young-gang?

The movie "First Ride" was fun.

Yes. I played a zombie fool who was a bit out of his mind for a while. Even during "First Ride,"

it was a bit awkward the first couple of times, but I figured it out on my own, and by the third or fourth time,

we became close. I

talked a lot on my own, and it was really nice.

All the friends who appeared in that movie were great. Young-gang, what kind of person

do you think you will be in 10 years?

Someone who lives in a house right by the sea [Laughs] Ah,

I don't know

how to explain this. So, what do you mean

? Later on, yes , I want to live in a house with the sea right in front.

What about 10 years from now? That would be even better.

Ah, you'll have to go to Jeju Island. I want to go abroad. [Laughs]

Are you dreaming of going overseas too? Right now, I just want to live somewhere.

No, rather than immigration, once I get a certain age [music],

I want to live by the sea.

I want to just live where I can see the ocean and hear the sounds of it, swimming and things like that. Young-gwang, how long do you plan to work?

I’m thinking about it a bit flexibly.

It depends on the situation. If I achieve great success,

I think I’ll retire sooner, yes.

If I don’t achieve great success, I’ll have to hold on and keep going

, yes. But Young-gwang, you are in the category of achieving great success right now, aren’t you? [Laughs]

Young-gwang, like Tom Cruise... that level

isn't even considered great success. What exactly constitutes great success?

Taking over the global stage, going to all the prestigious international film festivals... [Laughs] I think I have [Applause] gone overseas,

but [Applause]

I haven't quite reached that level yet, so it’s not that at all. If you were to make a movie about your life at the very end,

what kind of movie would you want to make?

Like Forrest Gump, ah,

that kind of biography .

It's just one person, but the eras keep passing by. Yes, yes,

a movie where a person's life story is deeply destroyed. And a movie with humanism,

where you can see the person. Wow, so with this

[applause] [cheers] explanation of how to use Kim Young-kwang, wow,

oh, I really heard a lot of deep stories. So,

I think it's kind of like this: you want to get close, but you don't know how to approach them. You don't know what their

style is, so you can't easily approach them

. That's right. So, thinking that way,

usually when they film a drama, they always talk about it around the wrap party.

Actually, when I first saw you, I was really scared.

Why? [Laughs]

Ah, but I'm seriously curious about this. Not replying to texts is because

I forgot. It's because I didn't know what to say. You know,

I have a few people too. It's all of them. So,

when I first received it, it was such a long message. Then I thought, "How should I answer this?" and

I forgot. I thought, "I have to do it. I'll do it when I remember." Like, "Ah, aren't you going to reply?"

It’s not just this; it’s a bit too

specific, like, "Yes." Then I’d think, "What should I do?" I’d be like, "Wow," and then "A little while later,"

and then I’d forget it quickly.

Yes. So that was the mindset. I was actually a bit hurt once.

I mean, I wrote a really long reply saying, "Young-gwang , thank you so much for waking up today,"

but then I could see it was like, "Is there something important

?" There was no reply. From my perspective, I thought, "Oh, did I do something wrong?"

[Laughs] "I did really well and left, so why isn't there a reply?"

You know, like that. Ah, so that was the reason. Yes. Yes. That’s right. Now, for

those of you who are receiving texts but didn't receive one—those who were hurt by that, or those who are just like you, Young-gwang—

I hope this serves as a moment where you can

look at it and realize, "Ah, so that’s how it is," and understand each other a little

better. Ah, do you remember auditioning? I went to a lot of them back in the day. Back when I

had my audition, all the people who are doing well now

were at the audition venue. Ah [Gasp] [Sigh]

Do you remember who you auditioned with back then?

The people you remember the most. Well, everyone was there. Like Lee Jong-suk,

Yubin, and people of the same age group were all there. Back then, everyone

was lined up waiting, then they would

go in in groups of three or two, introduce themselves, and so on. Okay,

first, could you give us a brief introduction to the drama "Charge Me"?

In "Charge Me,"

there is one secret that [Music] can never be told to others.

I don't know why, but [Music] the patient's heart battery gets charged.

Let's [Music] write a contract. A contract for regular and legal physical contact with me

. Just charge me for exactly three months until I finish my retake year.

It's a work that feels very much like a comic book, a show you can watch very lightly, and

there are a lot of funny scenes. [Music] Oh, really?

What does daytime drinking mean to you, Young-gwang?

That is [Music] the best time. It’s so good to have a little daytime drink and get tipsy

. I just stepped outside

and it was beautiful, [Music] and the sunset was starting

. Ah, the world is beautiful. Yes, that is the best time

. [Music] That’s right. It is truly an honor

to spend the day with Young-gwang today. Thanks to you, I feel comfortable, and since it

is a time where I can [music] make a lot of personal bets,

I am very grateful. Please enjoy watching as it recharges me. [Applause] [Cheers]

Thank you. This was Kim Hyun-sung. Yes, yes. Thank you.

[Music]
