=Episode 11=

Chu Li, she's here.

(She's beautiful, as expected.)

(Beautiful indeed.)

(Not bad.)

Don't you think

her hair

seems a little longer than it did yesterday?

Yes.

No normal person's hair grows that fast in a day.

Unless she really is a demon.

(Amazing.)

♪Black hair twines around bone♪

(Amazing. Bravo!)

Chu Li,

her face...

With looks like that,

no wonder she wears a veil.

Such a lovely voice,

wasted on a face like that.

(What a waste of my money.)

(Come on, let's drink.)

Go back first.

I'll take a look.

Be careful, Chu Li.

Bring them to me,

and you'll have your looks back.

Who's there?

Miss Xizhao, I've come to see you.

And you are?

I...

I've admired you for a long time.

I heard today that you weren't well,

so I came to visit.

(Bring them to me,)

(and you'll have your looks back.)

Thank you for your concern, sir.

You do

look somewhat familiar.

I...

I've always admired you,

so I came to visit.

What seems to be ailing you?

I...

You've come without attendants today?

I...

I came alone today.

If you don't mind,

why not come inside to talk?

Please excuse the mess.

I'll tidy up right away.

This...

Is my wine not to your taste,

sir?

I just...

I can't hold my liquor.

Miss Xizhao, your hair flows like a waterfall.

It's truly enchanting.

If you like it,

why not feel it for yourself?

Sir,

why not

stay for the night?

Diviner Song?

You...

What are you doing?

Didn't I tell you to leave Jinan City?

Diviner Song, aren't you overstepping?

Whether I leave the city is my business.

But you...

How did you know I was here?

I thought some lecher

had entered Xizhao's room.

So it was you.

You came for Xizhao?

I see.

I guess

I've ruined your good time, Diviner Song.

My apologies.

Exactly.

Then don't come here again.

None of your business.

Chu Li,

are you all right?

I'm fine. Never better.

Since you're free today, how about a stroll with me?

Sure, Chu Li.

Wherever you want to go, I'll go with you.

Let's go.

We're going to that place we went last time.

Really?

You loved that place.

It was so fun.

Yes.

We played with pinwheels last time.

(Xizhao is up to no good.)

(I need to find a way to test her.)

I was so close.

Just one step away.

Chu Li,

where are we actually going?

Nowhere.

Chu Li,

why were you with Diviner Song earlier?

Did you two have a fight?

Can you stop asking?

I'm honored, Diviner Song.

I'd like to

stay by your side from now on.

Get out.

What?

You don't want my company, Diviner Song?

No.

But I

don't want to leave.

(Same smell as that shriveled corpse.)

(Could this demon survive)

(by feeding on human blood essence?)

(Then Song Ziyuan must be...)

Why should I care if he lives or dies?

What if he doesn't need saving?

I'd only be humiliating myself.

The lamp is going out.

Song Ziyuan,

if I weren't trying to become Grand Shaman,

I wouldn't save you at all.

Stop struggling.

I'm not

letting you escape today!

Is that all you've got?

Song Ziyuan,

you can't die.

The moment you men

see a beautiful woman, you're consumed by lust.

Fickle and faithless.

You don't deserve to live.

Song Ziyuan!

Guard the lamp.

Another one just walked right in!

Today,

you'll both die together.

You've possessed a human body.

Now get out!

Why did you come back,

Chu Li?

Even if you're going to die,

you can only die by my hand.

Master!

I'm sorry.

I lost track of the demon.

Master!

Shiqi, leave us.

I'll save him.

Song Ziyuan.

Li.

Song Ziyuan!

(Song Ziyuan,)

(why do you push me away again and again,)

(only to shield me again and again?)

Miss Chu Li,

how is my master?

He'll live.

Don't worry.

That's great. What a relief.

Why weren't you there the moment

he was in danger?

If it weren't for me,

he'd be dead.

Master ordered me to guard you in secret,

so

I didn't make it back in time to protect Master.

Song Ziyuan

told you to protect me?

How could that be?

More like he sent you to spy on me.

He was probably afraid I'd cause him trouble.

Master told me

to protect you

and do my best to keep anyone from giving you a hard time.

What is Song Ziyuan

playing at?

Take Xizhao to the dungeon.

I need to question her.

That demon can possess you,

but she doesn't take over your mind,

right?

She must've been draining your vital essence for a long time.

Forget about your looks.

You only have

a few days left to live.

Do you care more about your life?

Or your face?

Can you... Can you save me?

Then you need to find a way

to help me lure that demon out.
