Why did you run away?

Let's go.

Let's go home.

What?

Hold this. Li Er.

What did you see?

A golden nanmu longevity cane from the Wang family in the southern city.

They wish Madam a long life.

Owner of Zuixian House presents 16 boxes of longevity peach cakes.

He wishes Madam to live a blessed life.

- Slow down. - Rong Er.

May you live long and prosper.

Madam, may you live long and prosper.

- Got everything registered? - Sure thing.

Slow down.

Match the height and the color.

You're here. Welcome.

Please come in.

Good.

Third Master, you're back.

Master Fu.

Madam will be happy to see you.

- Good. - This way.

Has anyone come looking for me today?

No.

Good.

Your Highness.

Please come in.

- Third Master. - Princess Ding has arrived.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Madam, you're so lucky.

Look. Your grandchildren are here to see you.

That's right.

Mother, can you give me all these candies?

How many candies have you had today?

I'm not telling you.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Ye Li, these are all for you.

Thank you.

Li Er, you're here. Let me introduce everyone.

Your fourth granduncle and sixth granduncle.

They just came back from Lanyi.

And this is your fourth aunt.

She knew you when you were just a baby.

Greetings, Fourth Granduncle. Sixth Granduncle. Fourth Aunt.

Mother, during my travels, I came across this auspicious treasure.

Today, I present it to you.

Wish you a healthy and blessed life.

Little Li is all grown up now.

Little Li?

She is Princess Ding now.

I'll let her hold it first.

I'll put it on for you.

Let your longevity peach have some immortal blessings too.

Look.

Your granddaughter Ye Li wishes you a happy birthday.

May you enjoy health, longevity, and evergreen happiness.

Wan Zhou.

You're here.

Get up.

You've lost weight.

You must be tired.

Li Er, Prince Ding didn't come with you?

His Highness is busy with work and couldn't come.

Prince Ding just took office as Governor of Jingzhao.

Business is complicated.

Prince Li didn't come either.

True.

You're right.

Sister-in-law, where's my second brother?

Where is he?

Master Fu, go fetch him.

901. 902.

903. 904.

905. 906.

907.

My Lord.

My Lord.

All the guests are here.

Madam requests your presence.

According to the servants,

you haven't had a good night's sleep for days.

But it's Madam's birthday today.

All the family elders are here.

You should at least show your face.

Besides, both Princesses have arrived.

Just have a bite at the banquet and come back.

It won't take long.

How many are left?

My Lord, there are 82 left.

It's almost done. We'll finish the rest later.

Please, My Lord.

My Lord, are you all right?

Keep them safe.

The Taoist master will be here tomorrow.

Yes.

Madam Ye is so blessed to have such a big, beautiful family.

Come and get me.

Thank you, everyone.

Thank you for attending my mother's birthday banquet.

The dance is wonderful.

Let me toast you all.

Look.

- Here. - Cheers.

Let's drink.

Cheers.

- Bravo. - Bravo.

Mother. Let's make a toast.

- Madam, may you live a long and blessed life. - Madam, may you live a long and blessed life.

Greetings, Your Highness.

I heard that Prince Ding has joined the Jingzhao Office

and enjoys favor from His Majesty.

He's truly young and talented, the finest among men.

Good. Please take your seats.

Thank you, everyone.

- Who's that? - It's Prince Li.

It's Prince Li.

Yes.

Why is Prince Li here?

Obviously for Princess Li.

The Ye family is really prosperous.

The children are filial. They even have two princesses.

Are you full?

Have some more.

What else do you want?

That rod-shaped one.

- Bravo! - Bravo!

Prince Li's skills are superb. It's heavenly music.

Madam is so lucky. Even Prince Li came to celebrate her birthday.

That's right.

With this song, "Green Plum Melody",

May Madam enjoy everlasting vitality and enduring blessings.

You're so thoughtful.

I didn't know Your Highness was coming. Sorry for the poor welcome.

Your Highness, please sit.

Go back to your mother.

- Everyone, please sit. - All right.

Carry on.

- I'll announce your arrival. - Out of the way!

Out of the way!

- This... - It's Madam Ye's birthday. Sorry I'm late.

But I have something important to discuss with Third Master Ye today.

Ye Wen Shen!

Ye Wen Shen, halt!

General Wang, you're here.

Ye Wen Shen, come with me.

It's your mother's birthday.

I've already shown you enough respect.

Well... Greetings.

Wen Shen is my brother.

Today is my mother's birthday.

If you need anything, tell me.

If it's good, I'll tell you.

But this scoundrel seduced my wife and disturbed my family.

He's shameless.

Tell me, how can I talk to him nicely?

Stop it!

Let go of him!

I'll take responsibility for what I did.

But I didn't do it!

Beat me if you want, but I didn't do it!

What are you doing?

- You dare not admit it? - Right under the law's eyes.

Still denying it?

In broad daylight.

- General Wang. - Move aside!

Stop him!

Let me go!

Take him away.

- Move. - Move!

Your Highness.

Happy birthday, Madam.

Ling Er.

Your Highness, don't drink too much.

I'm fine.

Prince Ding is tied up with work and couldn't come in person.

So he sent me here to present you this gift.

This pillow is made of Zhongnan Ice Jade, infused with herb-steeped

using Sun Si Miao's regimen.

With this gift, His Highness wishes Madam good health.

Good.

Master Ye.

Please come with me to the prefectural office.

M-Me too?

Mother, it's all right.

I'll be back soon.

Brother, tell Mother for me.

All right.

Okay.

Mother, he'll be right back. It's all right.

Your Highness. Do you need rest?

Guards.

Help His Highness to rest.

Take good care of him.

Your Highness.

Come.

You don't need to go.

Stay here and keep your mother company.

Be careful.

All right.

- Please stay. - Farewell.

- Take care. - Uncle, it's getting late.

- I should go back. - All right.

Li Er, are you leaving?

Yes. I'm about to go.

Please stay.

It'll be dark by the time you get back.

It's rare for you and Ying Er to go back. Please stay.

I just told Ying Er. She's staying here.

Sister, just stay.

That's right, Li Er.

Just stay for one night.

You left home young and weren't close to the family.

But you have to know that no matter to whom you marry,

you're still the Ye family's daughter.

Please remember that blood ties matter most in the Capital.

You're right, Uncle.

I'll go with you then.

Why aren't you scared?

Why should I be?

Where did you get it?

I caught it at the banquet.

You caught it on the table?

It was sneaking past under the table.

I reached out and stopped it.

It's a stupid toad.

Why catch it? It's filthy.

Just throw it away.

No. I'm going to scare Ye Ying with it.

It will definitely scare her.

Is that cripple good to you?

Call him a cripple again and I'll shove that toad in your mouth.

I'm your brother.

Half brother, actually.

You're no different from a toad.

I'm much more useful than it.

Wait, why should I compete with a toad?

There are times when you need me.

Qing Yu, come with me.

Your Highness.

Slow down.

Mother.

Mother. When will this tree we planted grow big?

When you grow up, it'll protect you from the wind and rain.

Kitty.

Mother.

Kitty.

Mother, don't touch me.

- Kitty. - Mother, chase me.

Come on.

Li Er! Protect this. Come with me.

Hide inside. Don't make a sound.

Search the place!

Open the door!

- Open the door! - Open the door!

Yan Lu.

Don't come over.

Hand it over.

Hua.

Wan Zhou.

Listen to him and hand over the late Emperor's edict.

It'll only bring disaster.

- Search! - Who dares?

By doing this, you're dragging the whole family to their deaths, aren't you?

Hua.

This won't do.

We'll get General Mo killed.

My father has left the mountain. Please go find him.

Listen to him.

Just hand it over.

- Hold her down. - Go away.

Madam.

- Let go! - Search. Search!

Let go of me, Hua!

No! Let go of me!

Search the place!

No!

Let go of me!

Hua...

No!

Give me the imperial decree!

- Give me! - Let go!

Give it to me!

- Li! - Mother.

- Let go! - Madam.

- Give it to me! - Mother!

- Give me! - Mother!

- Madam! - Let go of me!

You wench! Get lost!

- Slut! - Give me!

- Let go! - Yan Lu.

Yan Lu!

Give it to me!

Li Er! Li Er, are you all right?

- Ye Wen Ding! - Let's go.

Give me back the imperial decree.

Hua. Hua, please help me.

My father will be here soon. We promised General Mo.

Wan Zhou. Don't be like this.

Calm down.

I'm sorry.

Hua! Who sent you here?

- Who is it? - Mother!

Open the door, Mother!

Mother?

Mother.

Mother, are you all right?

Mother.

Mother.

Mother, are you sick?

I'll fetch a physician.

Mother, don't scare me.

Li Er.

Mother.

Li Er.

I... I don't have much time left.

I need you to go somewhere for me.

Yes, Mother.

Where?

To the execution ground find Mo Xiu Wen.

Tell him... I don't have much time left.

I've let him down.

Is there anything else we can do to help him?

All right, Mother.

I'll go there to find Mo Xiu Wen.

I'll tell him and ask him

if there's anything else we can do to help him.

Mother.

- Li Er. - Mother.

Mother.

Mother.

Li, why are you here?

Am I dreaming?

So it's a dream.

Li, why are you so angry even in my dreams?

Don't move. Stay still.

It hurts.

What happened to you at Li Mountain Academy?

Why do you have so many scars on your arm?

Monkey bites.

Since when are there monkeys at Li Mountain Academy?

It hurts.

Isn't this a dream?

Can you feel pain even in your dreams?

Li.

I miss you so much.

I miss you so much.

I really miss you.

Li. I really miss...

Li.

Do you know?

Today, I'm going to see you at the Ye's Mansion.

I've prepared "Green Plum Melody" for you.

Do you still remember it?

Master Yu taught it to us.

You mastered it after hearing it just once.

Li.

I've practiced this piece for a long time.

I'm not sure if you'll like it.

I've also prepared some mulberry wine.

Back in Li Mountain, a hunter sent two jars to Master Zhu.

At that time, you secretly drank half a jar.

Then... you got drunk and passed out on my zither desk.

Li.

Do you still like to drink?

Li.

Do you really hate me that much?

Actually, I hate myself too.

You wouldn't let me...

You wouldn't let me explain.

Actually, I don't know how to explain it.

Sometimes, I feel I was innocent.

I was forced to do it.

Sometimes, I feel like I deserve to die.

If I had died with them,

would you treat me better?

But now,

I have so many things left undone.

I want to die.

But do I even have the right?

You probably don't want to hear this.

But whenever I see you, I always want to say something to you.

Now it's my dream.

Please let me have my way.

I'll get someone to tidy up.

Are you leaving?

Forget it.

Just go.

Now that I had this dream,

I'm already content enough.

I only wish I'd never wake up from this dream.

[Jingzhao Office]

Your Highness, the gift has been delivered to the Ye residence.

Coincidentally, Master Ye's enemy was there.

To not interfere with the banquet,

I brought him back with Master Ye.

And at the banquet, Prince Li was there too.

Your Highness!

We have a lead.

Yuan Fang died in the suburbs of the Capital.

After the murder, the killer had two options.

One, he fled the Capital immediately.

Two, he hid in the Capital if he was bold enough.

On the day Yuan Fang was killed,

His Majesty was enraged and ordered all routes to be blocked.

All Capital Battalions searched outside the city for weeks.

But they found not even a trace of the killer.

So, I'll make a bold guess.

The killer was bold enough to hide in the Capital.

Among those who entered the city during that time,

there was a group of herbal dealers from Cangbei.

They are highly suspicious.

They entered the city early on the second day of the incident.

The East Gate, being closest to Wan'an, would be the first place searched.

They seemed to make a detour. They were actually avoiding the scrutiny.

Gao Wen Huan's guard said that he caught a glimpse of one killer's eyes.

They were a rare shade of blue.

Our men kept watch day and night.

Today, at a foreigner's tavern in Penglai Alley, we found these people.

Among them, there was a blue-eyed man.

Assemble the guards of the Jingzhao Office and send word to Wang Su Wu.

Tonight, we'll capture them all.

Yes.

Ye Ying is back too.

Why don't you stay in her room?

Do you want me to say

that I like you more between the two of you

and I just want to be with you, right?

That's not true.

I just like this house and this yard.

When you're not here, I like to come here.

Outside the eastern wall or maybe the south,

there's a reed woods.

This place is the closest to it.

Every year at this time, the reeds bloom.

The wind blows their fluffs into the yard.

It's like snow.

It's beautiful.

Your Highness.

Let's go.

What is it?

Poison. Drink it and you'll die.

This is calming soup. It'll make you sleep better.

It's sweet.

Sweet soup.

It's windy.

It's snowing!

You're right.

- Qing Yu, Look! - It's snowing.

- It's remarkable. - It does look like snow, right?

It's snowing!

Your Highness, it's confirmed.

The assassin with blue eyes is called Chi Hu.

He and his accomplices are staying at the inn up ahead.

Officer Wang has surrounded the area.

He's waiting for your order.

[Meng's Ritual Supplies]

Who is it?

What's wrong? What brings you here at this hour?

Chi Hu was exposed.

What?

It may lead them to Yuan Fang's murder.

His Highness should plan ahead.

Your Highness, you're awake.

Does your head still hurt?

Why are you looking at me like that?

I'm fine.

I had a dream.

It's late at night.

Since you're awake, why not go back to my room?

Those servants...

Why did they bring you here?

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Ye Ying.

Go back to your room.

Your Highness, Chi Hu is exposed.

Do as I say or I'll expose you to the world.

Come in.

Your Highness, Second Master summons you.

Your Highness, should I still go to Yanru Pond?

No, you stay here.

Yes.

[Lanchun Hall]

Did Ye Ying send you for me?

Tell her to meet me at Yanru Pond.

Yes.

Ye Li!

Tell me. What is it this time?

You're asking me?

You've gone too far.

Ye Li, you're from Li Mountain Academy.

Didn't your masters teach you manners?

His Highness broke off his engagement with you long ago, but you refuse to let go.

You even seduced him.

What's your motive?

You sent the assassins, didn't you?

Do you know the penalty for hiring someone to murder a princess?

According to the Code of Chu,

"Those who conspire in crime,

the mastermind bears the heaviest guilt.

Even an amnesty cannot pardon it."

Stop trying to scare me.

I didn't do it.

I don't even know him.

You brought this upon yourself and now you're taking it out on me?

I only mentioned the assassins. I never said there was only one.

How do you know the number?

What I had with Mo Jing Li has long ended.

I have no feelings for him.

If you really care about this marriage,

you should keep your man in line, instead of throwing a fit to me.

Ye Ying, my patience has limits.

Watch yourself.

Ye Li!

Don't be so smug.

People from Li Mountain Academy act so lofty, yet you're fishing for fame.

Neither you nor your mother is a decent person.

If Prince Ding finds out what kind of woman you really are you'll be in trouble.

How dare you hit me?

Why wouldn't I?

I'll teach you a lesson.

I haven't hit you yet.

Don't cry.

No wonder you brought an umbrella.

You planned to hit me all along.

Not really.

It's going to rain tonight.

What are you doing?

I really don't get you sometimes.

What do you like about him?

His zither playing skills?

His fame as a genius?

Or his flashy face?

Your wedding day was your first time meeting him, right?

You know nothing about your husband.

You don't know what he's thinking.

You don't know what he wants to do.

Let alone his heart lying beneath that refined face of his.

Is he the one you like?

Or is it just a fantasy you made up in your own head?

Of course I know.

His Highness cares about the world.

How can you slander him?

Is that something he should care about?

The world belongs to His Majesty.

We are sisters.

That's why I've told you this much,

but you didn't believe me at all.

Mo Jing Li is not what you think.

I won't allow you to speak of him that way.

Your Highness, everything is ready.

All the four alleyways are guarded.

Seize them.

Yes.

Let's go.

How are you?

I'm fine.

Take him for treatment.

Yes.

Your Highness, they ran to the west.

Send my orders.

Seal Chongren, Shengye, and Yongxing Wards immediately.

Lock down the entire city.

Search along the canals with my token.

Take them all, dead or alive.

Yes.

Put it aside.

[On the Next Episode]

Wan Zhou is really back.

She is back.

Hua.

Long time no see. How are you?

That decree recalling Heiyun Calvary to the Capital...

- Who did you give it to? - I...

I'm cleaning my house.

It's only right.

Now, let's settle this debt.
