Original subtitles

My wife, Naomi, is going on a business trip with her boss for a few days. If

they successfully close this deal, she'll be promoted to department

manager.

Honey, don't forget your motion sickness pills.

Got it.

When we married, we promised to build a life from scratch.

My wife has a lot of pride, so I hid the fact that I'm the CEO of Ether Capital.

Now it's time to tell her.

Naomi, there's something I need to tell you.

I'm going to be late!

She's been traveling a lot lately.

She must be exhausted and in a bad mood.

I need to take this.

No,

Oscar. Naomi's gonna be mad.

We don't need these.

Why bring them on a trip?

Unless... Naomi, do you want me to drive you to the airport?

No, thanks.

I promised I'd be your driver for life.

I'm an assistant to the COO now. My boss is sending a car for me. Who? Mr.

Herman? Why so many questions? You don't trust me?

I just...

I have a feeling Nami is hiding something from me.

Aren't you afraid my wife will see?

I wish she would.

Maybe she'd join us.

You're shameless.

Isn't having me enough?

Richard Harmon is Naomi's boss, and he's married. There shouldn't be a problem

with her going on a business trip with him.

Am I overthinking this?

Abigail, book me a flight to New York today. I'm handling Aura Peps myself.

Of course. Your wife Naomi's one of Aura Peps' reps. She still doesn't know who

you are. Surprise her.

Surprise or shock depends on her choice. Understood.

Oscar, we'll find out soon enough whether mommy betrayed me.

While we're waiting for Laura and Mike, we can have some fun first.

Not here. Too many people.

Let's go up to the room first.

Naomi, did you betray me for another man?

I've reserved the presidential suite on the top floor. I'll brief you on the

Oropos proposal shortly. No, you should first.

Oscar's food's ready. His favorite bed's by the window.

All right. Good work.

Your wife and Oropos' COA are staying in rooms 2011 and 2012.

Should I let them know you're here? No.

Don't tell anyone.

It won't be a surprise.

You'll always be loyal to me, right, Oscar?

What are you thinking about? How could you forget the room key?

Stop! Richard, not here!

What are you afraid of?

Don't forget, I gave you your position and your designer goods.

I know, but we're here to secure Ether Capital's investment.

Once we get to your project manager, I'll give you five million dollars, so

you better do exactly as I say.

Oh my god, it's a public place!

Excuse me.

That figure looks like Skyla.

I must be seeing things.

Skyla's home painting her worthless pictures.

All three of these raw material suppliers are shell companies, are you

sure?

Absolutely. I found that the registered agents for these three companies are two

homeless men and one deceased person. And...

Every lead pleads to Richard Harmon as the beneficial owner of all three

companies.

What about Naomi?

Is she involved too? Yes. Your wife was responsible for reviewing the compliance

documents for all three companies. She signed every approval.

Share everything with legal. Have them gather evidence discreetly and prepare

to file suit at any time. What about your wife? If we sue, she'll be an

accomplice. That depends on what she chooses.

Baby, why aren't you here yet? I've been waiting forever.

I shouldn't have betrayed Skyla, but if I close this deal, I'll have five

million dollars.

Naomi, don't go to him. I can pretend none of this happened.

Skyla, I don't want this.

That's right, Naomi.

You never let me down.

Where are you? Why aren't you here yet? Richard, I don't feel well. I can't

tonight. I know what you're thinking. Drop the act. You want to be dragged

down by that useless wife? The one who just paints and cleans? I can't shake

this feeling. Like my wife is watching me. I don't care. Ten minutes or the

five million's gone.

Sorry, Skyla. I love you.

But I can't be just an assistant forever.

I knew you'd come.

You can't resist me.

or everything I've given you.

What's the rush?

I'm here, aren't I?

Naomi, I gave you your chance.

Abigail, get me a lawyer. Draft divorce papers.

But... Divorce means splitting assets.

Your Ether capital stake is worth over 10 billion.

Don't worry.

Naomi sealed her own fate long ago. Understood.

Let's have some fun tonight.

Wait. I need to text my wife first so she doesn't get suspicious.

Why care about her? She couldn't sell a lifetime of paintings for one designer

bag.

You don't understand.

We signed a pre-new. If either of us cheats, that person automatically

forfeits their rights to any marital assets.

So what? You two couldn't even afford a house?

Honey, I just got out of a meeting.

I miss you.

I had no idea my wife was such a good actist.

Now, we

can...

What

now? What are you doing?

Honey, stop joking. Are you really here?

Stop joking. Are you really here?

Not time to confront them yet. I need all the evidence first.

You scared me to death.

Now can we?

Naomi, he made the worst choice.

Put this on.

Why?

Ether Capital's CEO is in the presidential suite tonight. Put it on.

Seduce him.

What? Are you insane? I'm not a prostitute.

No deal. We get nothing.

Sleep with him. Get him to sign. You might get more than five million.

He's right.

If I can get with the CEO of Ether Capital... What's five million dollars?

Well?

Perfect. The CEO of Ether Capital is very mysterious and never appears in

public, but with your looks, you'll definitely succeed.

Sorry, Skyla.

I shouldn't have betrayed you, but you can't give me what I want.

I put up Do Not Disturb.

Naomi, what the hell are you trying to do?

Hello? I'm Naomi Sears from the Oropaz delegation.

I have a supplemental document for the project.

May I deliver it in person?

Besides work?

Maybe we could talk about something more... intimate.

Richard wasn't enough.

Now you're trying to seduce someone else.

I want to hear this.

Hello?

It's late. I need to rest.

Please leave.

Ether Capital's CEO is a woman?

Her voice sounds familiar. Leave. Now.

Don't act rashly.

I have to stay calm.

I need enough evidence to take them down for good.

Everyone, focus.

Word is, Ether Capital's CEO is coming to hear our pitch.

The self-made legend who became worth $10 billion in just three years?

I heard he values family, rarely appears in public. Why come for a small project

like ours?

Could it be they don't know the CEO of Ether Capital is a woman, and her voice

sounds a lot like Skylar's?

What am I thinking?

Skylar doesn't even have a job.

How could she be that CEO?

If that CEO is into women too, maybe...

Skylar?

She's Ether Capital's CEO?

How... Then last night she must have... What are you doing?

I'm fine.

Stay calm.

What if Skylar saw nothing? I was only there to discuss the project.

I'm Richard Harmon, COO of Oropaz. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Ether Capital's CEO is a woman.

Even easier to manipulate.

My assistant will brief you on the smart pet care project. Her name is... No

need. I know her better than you do.

Could Naomi and her be... you know? Who knows? I just know she's good at that.

You two know each other?

She's... she's my... She's... What

the hell is going on?

Mr.

Harmon, Miss Pomo's very busy.

Don't waste her time.

Of course.

Right away.

What are you waiting for, Naomi?

Start the presentation!

Hold on.

What is it?

You know nothing about pets.

So how did you design a smart pet care project?

Naomi pretended to love Oscar before we married. Since the wedding, never took

care of him once.

She doesn't even like pets.

I want the real designer.

Naomi was just... Miss Poma, Laura and I are the real designers.

But we don't mind Naomi stealing the spotlight.

She's Mr. Harmon's special someone, after all.

It's not like that!

Richard and I are just co-workers!

Shut up!

Or I'll sue you for slander!

I have so much more to gain with Skyla.

She can never know about Richard and... Go

ahead. Just stay out of my way.

Miss Pombo, may I begin?

First, a few questions for Mr. Harmon.

Of course.

Ask me anything.

Damn this woman.

What the hell is she up to?

Before Ether Capital decided to invest, you also approached other companies for

funding. Is that correct?

Yes.

But why?

You don't need to know how I got these figures.

I just need an answer.

Why is Ether Capital being quoted $20 million more than the others?

Ms. Pomo, budgets depend on raw material prices. They fluctuate.

Mr. Harmon, I rarely attend business events.

That doesn't mean I know nothing about the projects I invest in.

Over the past three months, prices for the chips this project requires have

fallen by 7% and PCABC blend prices by 4%. Prices for the other materials have

also dropped by varying amounts.

Every material is getting cheaper.

What kind of fluctuation would make your costs go up?

Damn it. Why is this woman so hard to handle?

I'll have my team redo the numbers.

You'll be satisfied.

Now, about signing... If you can get me a credible cost breakdown by noon

tomorrow, we can discuss signing then.

We'll have it ready on time.

Skyla? Does she not want anyone to know we're married?

What are you sitting around for? You two,

go get me a coffee.

Sure.

You're the boss.

If you'd seduced her last night, we wouldn't be in this mess!

Richard will do anything for money.

I can't let him find out I'm married to Skyla.

What do we do now?

Lower the price back to what it was?

Are you an idiot?

Lowering it now means admitting I inflated the price!

Go fake three price adjustment notices to back up the price we need.

That's too risky. If anyone finds out... Don't think you're innocent.

You've done this before.

I hate wearing suits.

I've laid out three casual outfits for you. You can change whenever you like.

Oscar, lunch time.

Oscar really likes you.

Maybe because I'm the one who takes care of him when you're busy.

I don't understand.

Why not just pull out of the investment?

The Smart Pet Care Project is a promising investment.

And Oropaz Innovations has an excellent reputation in the industry.

There's no reason to walk away just because of those two.

Besides, we need that contract signed to keep this little show going.

But you know the project's flawed.

Signing will cost us, won't it?

Come sit.

I don't make losing bets.

After we sign, I need you to arrange a joint launch event. A joint launch event

with Oropos Innovations?

You want to... I'll publicly point out the problems with the project's budget.

So you're leaving Richard's fate and the project to their CEO?

If they insist on honoring a fraudulent bid, I'll sue them for fraud.

Naomi handled the audits for those shells.

She'll be implicated too. Is that okay?

I'll give her one more chance.

Her last one.

I have to find Skyla as soon as possible and figure out how much she knows.

Let go of me!

You can say it louder.

Make sure everyone hears you.

Please, don't do this.

I don't want to keep betraying my wife.

You need a man who satisfies you.

Not a poor, boring wife.

Richard kicked us out so he could hook up with Naomi.

Who at the company doesn't know about him and Naomi?

Besides Mr. Frey, the CEO.

I feel sorry for their families.

Whatever.

It's none of our business.

Sorry. I heard everything.

Want me to check the conference room?

No. You have a more important task.

Stay focused.

Richard, we should stop meeting in private for a while.

I'm worried people will start talking.

What are you afraid of?

Your pathetic wife?

Are you afraid she'll find out?

Even if she knows, what can she do?

But you...

Every inch of you is telling me that you need me.

We shouldn't be doing this here.

Shut up!

Just enjoy it!

I... I need to get back to the paperwork.

What are you looking at?

Get out!

Naomi, you think you can dump me?

Dream on!

Pull Naomi's employee file. I want her wife's phone number.

Honey.

What a huge surprise.

Are you sure it's just a surprise and not a shock?

Naomi, is there something you're hiding?

Stop lying to me, Naomi.

This is your last chance.

What are you talking about? I don't understand.

I was just asking.

Maybe she's fishing.

As long as she doesn't know about Richard.

I can explain the rest.

Shouldn't I be asking?

Skyla, how much are you hiding?

Let's talk inside.

Go away. Your fur is getting all over my clothes.

He's a cat.

He just wants to be close. Why scold him?

Do you know how awkward it was to find out my wife runs the investment firm?

Why lie to me?

Naomi, if you want to put on an act, I'll play along all the way.

Sorry.

I know it's sudden.

I just wanted to surprise you. Is that all?

Is there something else?

What do you think?

Skyla, you love me, right?

Lovers shouldn't keep secrets.

What about you, Naomi?

Is there anything you're hiding from me?

Of course not.

Darling, I'm completely loyal.

I love you even more now.

Ayla! Have you lost your mind?

Sorry, not now. I have company business to deal with. I'm not blaming you,

Skyla. Maybe I can help. I don't want our relationship affecting our work.

Naomi, you should understand what I'm saying. Of course.

Don't worry. I won't tell anyone about us.

It doesn't matter whether we're public or not.

What matters is that I keep my status as Skyla's wife.

abigail how's that information coming i'm sorry i only found out that they've

been getting close over the past three months but richard is extremely careful

and has left almost no concrete evidence got it

Are you done with work? Come eat.

What's all this?

I can't help much, so I made you dinner.

Darling, don't work too hard.

She hasn't been this considerate in a long time.

If this were before, I might have been touched.

But now?

Just a moment.

It's been so long since a candlelit dinner.

Vacation after we sign?

Maybe I can help you relax tonight.

We'll talk about it later.

To our love.

Stupid animal!

Naomi, enough.

I told you, he's just a cat.

Let's keep going. Don't let Oscar ruin our night.

I'm exhausted.

I want to take a bath and get some sleep.

You should head home.

Skyla's getting colder.

I have to win her back.

I told you I'm going to help you really relax tonight.

Let me help you.

You don't have to.

I just want to finish my bath and rest.

I like doing this because I love you.

Says she loves me.

Someone else's hickey on her neck.

What a joke.

By the way, rising costs are normal.

No need to waste time on it.

How about signing the deal first thing tomorrow?

After that, we can take a beach vacation.

Don't worry.

I'll sign it tomorrow.

Naomi, don't.

What if I insist?

I want you, baby.

Who's that this late?

It's Abigail.

She's here to update me on today's work.

I've already with Starly...

Maybe I should come back later? No need.

Naomi was just leaving.

Get some rest.

Looks like you had plans tonight.

Naomi's been acting strange.

Sorry. This is all I've found on your wife's affair.

I'll keep looking. No need.

Someone sent me evidence without even being asked.

We've double-checked the cost breakdown.

The figures haven't changed.

The three suppliers we chose offer better quality than their competitors,

so their prices are higher. Miss Pomo, I assure you, the price list is accurate.

Good. Let's sign.

Why is she so easy today?

You work your magic last night?

All right.

We're done here.

I changed my flight to match yours. We can talk on the way.

Richard clearly still doesn't know Naomi and I are married.

He's actually flirting with her on the plane, right in front of me.

I'm going to the restroom.

Mind switching seats?

I'd like to talk to Miss Pombo.

Miss Pombo, if you don't mind me asking, are you married?

I have a wife.

She likes women, too.

No wonder she signs so fast.

Naomi must have seduced her. So, what do you think of my assistant, Naomi?

She's very beautiful.

Interested in her? Isn't she with you?

She's just my mistress, not my wife.

If you're interested, you can have her. Didn't you say she was married?

Her wife's broke and boring.

Nothing compared to you. Just say the word, and I'll have her in your bed

tonight.

You're offering me your mistress?

Trust me. She's incredible in bed. You've got some nerve taking photos like

that. Aren't you afraid her wife will come after you?

I sent her one myself.

Didn't get a peep out of her.

What's a loser like that going to do to me?

Maybe send her all of them.

You're right.

Now that would be fun.

I'll send them right now.

What an idiot.

What are you two talking about?

Nothing. Just shared interests.

Save those photos somewhere safe.

Of course.

How about the hotel we went to last time?

Or should we try a new one?

I'm not going.

I want to end this.

What?

You hooked up with Ether Capital's CEO and now you're dumping me?

No.

I...

My wife wants to move south, so I'm quitting.

You're going to let that loser tell you what to do? I don't care if I lose my

job. I can't let Skyla find out I've been cheating.

Fine, you can quit.

But until the end of this month, you come whenever I call.

Otherwise, I'll make it very hard for you to leave. I'll do whatever it takes

to get away from him as soon as possible.

Fine.

Same hotel as last time.

I should go.

Right outside our home?

You've got nerve.

Skyla? What are you doing here? Waiting for you, of course.

What took you so long?

Your project. What else? I had to work late again.

That's Naomi's wife. Looks like Skylar Pomo.

All skin and bones.

What a turn off.

Someone's waiting.

Hey, sweetheart.

Naomi, I've missed you so much.

What are you two doing here?

I'll make you some coffee.

Make it stronger.

Didn't I tell you not to come here?

I've had a bad run at the tables.

Lost five grand.

You need to cover it. I need a nose job.

My TikTok fans say my face needs more definition.

Pay the 7,000.

I gave you 10 grand last month. I have nothing left.

Ask Richard.

He's loaded and you're his mistress.

Are you insane?

What if Skyla hears you?

They knew all along.

So what if Skyla hears?

You can just get a divorce.

Exactly.

Wouldn't you be better off marrying someone rich like Richard?

No. I'm never divorcing Skyla Pomo.

Skyla Pomo's had us all fooled.

Skyla is worth ten billion dollars.

Ten billion?

Are you kidding? Who'd buy those crappy paintings?

I just found out.

Skylar Pomo's Ether Capital CEO.

More money than you can count.

Then we'll never run out of money.

Don't make it obvious.

You'll put Skylar off.

Relax. I won't insult Skylar Pomo anymore.

Skylar, you're so thoughtful. We're so lucky Naomi married you.

Is that so?

Everyone in Naomi's family except Naomi's mother gave me the cold

shoulder.

Let's see how they treat me now.

Skyla just got back from a business trip today.

She's exhausted.

You two should get going.

But I barely got to talk to Skyla.

It's fine.

It's still early.

You don't come over often.

How about we go out for dinner?

Skyla, you don't have to... They're your father and sister.

Don't you want me to treat them well?

See this?

Fanciest restaurant in town. One meal costs more than you make in a month.

Oh, God.

Will she ever stop?

This place is pretty expensive, Skyla.

Are you sure you can afford it?

Thank you.

I know Bob's fishing.

He wants the truth from me.

Fine. I'll give it to him.

About that, I owe you all an apology.

I've been keeping a few things from you.

When we got married three years ago, I was broke.

I wanted to start investing, but Naomi thought it was too risky.

She was against it.

That's right. We barely had any savings.

I was terrified of going into debt, but I went ahead with it in secret.

I got lucky, made quite a bit of money, and even started a company.

Oh, Skyla, I always knew you were amazing.

She is.

Skyla's company actually funded a project I just finished.

By the way, I'm holding a joint launch event with your company this weekend.

But my company hasn't told me anything about this.

Any preference for the butter?

Herb butter, please.

Why hasn't my company tell me? Did Skylar ask them not to?

Or is Richard up to something?

Of course. I'll be right back.

Your company doesn't need to tell you.

Because you'll be there as my wife.

Are you serious?

You're really going public with us?

Of course.

I'm proud to call you my wife.

I want everyone to know you.

Skyla, oh my god!

I'm so lucky to be married to you.

That's right.

Everyone will see who you really are.

I ordered you a gown. I want you looking your best.

Baby, I love you so much.

I'm going to be the most beautiful woman at that launch event.

I'm so jealous of Naomi.

She gets to be married to someone as sweet as you.

I wish I could find a wife like you.

Damn you, Britna.

The second you find out Skylar's rich, you throw yourself at Skylar.

You know, Skyla, Brittany's got plenty of experience, too.

Maybe sometime you and Brittany... The launch is a big day for Naomi, so... I

want you both there as Naomi's family.

Waiter! Get me a drink!

Strongest you've got! Hurry!

Hey, you guys won't believe this.

I got invited to a huge launch.

Stay tuned. I'll live stream the whole thing.

You're so good to them.

I love you.

Where's your wedding ring?

Why aren't you wearing it?

I took it off to shower.

Forgot to put it back on.

Excuse me. I need to take this. I found something.

Jacob Frey, Oropog's CEO, is Richard's father-in-law.

Jacob also has several other projects under his name. They've all had similar

financial issues in the past, but they were all covered up.

Put everything together and leave it on my desk. I'll stop by later.

The show's about to begin.

What time is it?

7.20.

Do you get here this early every day?

Why'd you sleep here?

I just couldn't face going home to Naomi.

Coffee or tea?

Either's fine.

Could I stay at your place a few days?

Why my place? You could stay at a hotel.

Well, you're looking after Oscar for me. I kind of miss him.

Alright, I'll get you breakfast.

Am I seeing things?

Is that Naomi next to Miss Pombo?

They really put on a show.

Were they playing us at the signing?

From now on, I'm in a whole different league from these people.

Even Richard will have to bow down to me.

Is that Naomi with Skyla?

When did she land her?

Miss Pombo, who's this with you?

Don't you two know each other well?

Naomi's your assistant.

She's also my wife. Always has been.

What? Naomi is Skyla's wife? Shit! I'm screwed!

But why?

When you were in New York, why did you pretend you didn't know each other? I

asked her to keep it a secret.

Saving the surprise for last is more fun, isn't it?

Now this is interesting.

What about the project?

If Miss Pomo pulls out, Frey will make Richard pay.

Skyla, it's been a while, and this must be your wife.

Yes.

Naomi also works for you.

No wonder this deal went so smoothly.

With your wife on our team, I should have come to you sooner.

I have Mr. Harmon to thank.

He's taken such good care of my wife, even more attentive than I am.

I... I... Does she know about me and Naomi?

Please welcome to the stage Ms. Skylar Pomo, CEO of Ether Capital, and Mr.

Jacob Fry, CEO of Oropaz Innovations.

Naomi, I'd like you offstage with me.

Thank you, Skylar.

Richard, you're leading this project. Come up with me.

I never thought Skyla would ask me to join her on stage.

She really does love me. The CEO of Ether Capital brought her wife to her

very first public appearance.

What a couple. I know.

Adored by someone worth tens of billions.

So lucky.

Enjoy the spotlight, Naomi.

I've got a gift waiting for you.

Look!

That's my daughter and her wife. Oh, God.

Hey, you guys seeing this? That's my sister with her CEO wife, Ether Capital.

Brittany, keep your voice down. You're embarrassing Skyla and Naomi.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the joint launch for Aura Pause and Ether

Capital. We've prepared an exciting video.

This feels like a dream.

Everyone wishes they were me.

Looks like Naomi won't expose me. What a relief.

Time to settle the score.

Wait, you forgot the condom.

Damn it!

You kill the mood every time.

Oh my god!

They're having an affair!

Richard's married to Frey's daughter!

What a bastard!

Turn that damn thing off!

Now!

You'd better explain this.

Skyla, that video's fake.

Believe me.

Skyla, please believe me. There's nothing going on between Richard and me.

Skyla, this is a misunderstanding.

Naomi would never do this.

She loves you.

Oh my god!

Look what I just caught on camera!

My sister's been cheating!

A misunderstanding?

You know better than anyone.

I... How would I know?

You don't know?

Then this should jog the memory.

Ask Richard for the money. He's loaded, and you're his mistress.

Remember now?

Anything else? You knew all along, but waited until now to show everyone?

Just to humiliate me?

You're my wife!

How could you do this to me?

Mom, what are you doing? Enough!

You cheated!

How dare you blame Skyla!

You're no daughter of this family!

Oh my god, what do we do? Mom disowned my sister?

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Richard forced me. He threatened my promotion.

Not my fault.

Stop lying.

You came on to me first.

I never would have betrayed Angelina if you hadn't thrown yourself at me.

You're lying.

You said you'd fire me if I didn't obey.

Angelina, I swear it'll never happen again.

Please, can you forgive me?

Don't touch me.

Skyla, let's handle this at home. I hope this won't affect the Oropa's Ether

Capital partnership.

Mr. Frey, of course the partnership continues.

I'm confident in this project.

But there's something you need to know.

Abigail, go ahead.

These are two raw material price quotes.

One is what Mr. Harmon submitted to Ether Capital.

The other lists the prices the raw material company quoted to the project's

three suppliers.

Every price to Ether Capital is 15% higher than the supplier quote.

Prices fluctuate. What's wrong with a buffer? Why so nervous?

We haven't even gotten to the good part.

The registered agents of these three designated suppliers are all either

homeless or deceased.

And none of these companies does any business outside this project.

And all three companies' funds end up in Mr. Harmon's offshore accounts.

Jacob, don't believe her lies.

I've always been loyal to you and the company.

Mr. Frey, you know what Mr.

Harmon did is embezzlement and fraud.

What do you have to say for yourself?

Jacob, I was wrong, but I did it for Angelina.

Angelina, please, talk to Jacob for me. I love you. I did this for you.

Cheating on me was for my sake, too?

That's your idea of love?

Don't use me as an excuse for your crimes.

Angelina, what do you want?

Should I call the FBI, or will you?

The FBI will be here soon.

It's over.

It's all over.

Skyla, help me!

The FBI will take me, too! You made your choices. I can't help you.

Miss Sears, at least keep what dignity you have left.

Don't do this.

Skyla, I love you so much.

This contains evidence of Richard Harmon's embezzlement and fraud.

Mr. Frey, I suggest you take a close look at his past projects.

Thank you, Skyla. I'll be heading home then.

Call me anytime if you need anything.

Skyla, you can't leave me!

Miss Sears.

Please stop harassing my boss. Get out of my way.

Not your business.

Abigail means more to me than anyone I work with.

Touch her, and I call the police.

Let's go.

Hey, little guy.

Miss me?

Thank you for earlier.

What?

Nothing.

Extra milk, no sugar.

Oh, find me a good divorce lawyer.

I practiced law for five years.

Let me handle it.

You were a lawyer?

How come you never told me?

May I sit?

Of course.

It's your place.

I had a lot of jobs before Ether Capital.

Lawyer was just one.

You know, you were Ether Capital's very first employee.

I never thought you'd stay with me this long.

Because you're someone I can trust.

What good did that do?

My wife still betrayed me.

So what's next for you?

Find a new girlfriend?

I don't think so.

No love survives the temptation of money.

Can I come in?

Any news?

Here.

Richard and Naomi are still under investigation.

Both out on bail.

Also, your divorce is final.

But there's something I don't understand.

Under the prenup, Naomi's cheating means you could leave Naomi with nothing.

Why give Naomi a million?

Naomi betrayed me, but we did love each other once.

Naomi will have a hard time finding a job.

I don't want Naomi struggling.

You're not thinking of getting back with her, are you?

Of course not.

Maybe I'll be single for the rest of my life.

Would you...

Ever consider me?

What do you mean?

Skylar, haven't you ever wondered why I've stayed by your side all this time?

I have feelings for you.

I never said anything because you were with Naomi.

Abigail, I... I had no idea.

And I just got out of a marriage where my wife betrayed me.

I can't... I understand.

I won't ask you to feel the same. I just couldn't keep it in anymore.

All the important company documents are here.

Make sure you find an assistant you can trust to keep them organized.

Abigail, where are you going?

Please accept my resignation.

I won't accept it!

You can't stop an employee from quitting.

Skyla, now that you know how I feel, I can't go back.

Goodbye.

I'll miss you Oscar.

Does this hurt so much?

Skyla, can we meet?

Please. I want to talk to you.

Alright.

Abigail! What are you doing here?

Changed your mind about quitting?

No. Richard's facing several serious financial crime charges.

He could get life in prison.

I'm worried he'll come after you.

Until he's behind bars wherever you go, I'm coming with you.

Skyla, over here.

Skyla. I know I was wrong.

I've thought about us every day this past month.

Can we start over?

Naomi, we're over.

Abigail's leaving.

What do I do?

No one knows me like she does.

She... I love you, Skyla.

Please, give me one more chance.

Enough, Naomi.

Please don't ruin the good memories I still have of us.

Skylar, you did this to me.

I'm taking you to hell.

I've been such an idiot.

How did it take me this long to realize I can't live without her?

Maybe I should- Skylar, die!

Abigail? No!

Gunshot to the chest.

Alert the OR.

Emergency thoracotomy.

BP's 80 over 50 and dropping.

Get a second IV line in and prepare to transfuse.

You're gonna be okay, Abigail.

Hold on.

Maybe because I'm the one who takes care of him when you're busy.

Here.

Richard and Naomi are still under investigation.

Both out on bail.

Don't leave me, Abigail.

I can't live without you.

When Abigail risked her life for Skylar, I finally understood what real love is.

I... don't deserve Skylar's forgiveness.

Don't move. Let me help.

Are you out of your mind?

Why would you do that?

I'm not worth dying for.

It was all worth it.

Quietly staying by your side.

Falling in love with you little by little.

Even taking that bullet for you.

Abigail, I understand.

I understand everything now.

Please stay.

Don't leave me, okay? No, I can't.

I can't pretend nothing happened and go back to being your assistant.

No. I want you by my side.

Not as my assistant, but as... Not as

my assistant, but as the woman I love.

My wife.

What?

Skyla, what are you saying?

Oscar? Come here.

I was caught up in the wrong marriage and missed the real love right in front

of me for three years.

I won't miss it again.

Abigail Grant, will you marry me?

I went through a betrayal and despair, but in the end, I found the woman I was

meant to love.
