[Episode 29]

[Qin Residence]

What should I do?

Mother.

I heard the Ghost Immortal Sect

is coming to the Capital to settle a score with Feng.

What should we do?

Fen,

I didn't kill Nian Wuji.

Even if they come,

what can they do to me?

I'm not afraid of them.

Feng,

don't say that.

No matter what,

I won't let you

take the blame for this.

Don't worry.

I've informed your Uncle Zhen.

He should be here at any minute.

Zhen, there you are.

Uncle Zhen,

you must help Feng.

Please help him.

Feng, my sister,

what would you like me to do?

Zhen,

I heard the martial artists of the Ghost Immortal Sect

are on their way to the Capital.

The Ghost Immortal Sect is the top sect in the five kingdoms.

Nian Shuo, the sect leader, has exceptional martial prowess.

Zhen,

you have to help Feng.

As the leader of the Ghost Immortal Sect,

Nian Shuo is incredibly strong.

In the whole of the Xuan,

only King of Lingwu can stop him.

Feng is too reckless.

Why did he kill Nian Wuji

and cause such a big trouble?

Zhen, Feng didn't kill Nian Wuji.

Others don't believe him.

But you're his uncle. You have to trust him.

Feng,

you really didn't kill Nian Wuji?

Feng, say something.

Feng.

Uncle Zhen, I saw it with my own eyes.

It was Qin Chen.

My arm is injured

because of him.

Not only did he plot against me,

but he also incriminated me.

He's so hateful.

Zhen, you heard him.

You're the King of Lingnan of the Xuan.

You have to figure out a way to help your nephew.

That little pest has stripped Fen of his martial prowess.

Nothing can happen to Feng again.

Don't worry.

If Feng is really innocent,

as his uncle,

I won't stand by and do nothing.

Get ready and come with me.

Where to?

Of course, to request an audience with His Majesty.

Request an audience with His Majesty?

No.

His Majesty is very protective of Qin Chen.

Feng has upset His Majesty

because of this incident.

If we request an audience hastily

and anger His Majesty,

won't it put Feng at a greater risk?

We have no time to worry about that.

The Ghost Immortal Sect travels fast.

They might be very close to the Capital now.

Wh-what?

Then Feng…

The Ghost Immortal Sect is the top sect in the five kingdoms.

If they march aggressively here,

even His Majesty will feel unsettled.

There's no time to waste.

Well…

What should we do?

It's all Qin Chen's fault.

That pest has caused such a big trouble.

What's the point of complaining now?

I've told you.

As the lady of the house,

you should be magnanimous.

But you didn't listen

and got yourself into such a mess.

You can only seek His Majesty's protection.

But…

His Majesty seems to have always been displeased with us.

Will he protect Feng?

You also know His Majesty's displeasure with you.

But do you know

why His Majesty sides with Qin Chen?

Isn't it because

Qin Chen won first place in the year-end exam and made great contributions

in the preliminary test of the Competition of Five Kingdoms?

That's one of the reasons,

but not the main one.

If His Majesty really sided with Qin Chen,

he wouldn't promise Feng the title of Marquis of Champion

after Feng returned to the Capital.

His real goal

is to make Feng and Qin Chen

fight with each other,

so he'll reap the advantage when both of them suffer.

Zhen, then…

What should we do?

Say no more.

Get ready.

Let's take Feng to the palace

and request an audience with His Majesty now.

I don't think His Majesty will let the Ghost Immortal Sect

kill the talent of the Xuan.

Feng, hurry.

Go to the palace with your uncle.

Feng,

stay safe.

[The Xuan Kingdom]

[Nian Shuo, sect leader of the Ghost Immortal Sect] After avenging my son,

Elder Ling Zhong,

you'll be confined at the Ghosts' Lair for a month.

Master,

I know I deserve to die.

Thank you for showing mercy

and sparing my life.

I'm deeply grateful.

Enough.

You've greatly embarrassed

the Ghost Immortal Sect.

Go.

Go to West Town now

and bring Qin Chen to me.

Master, I think

Qin Feng is more suspicious.

Neither of them

can live.

Yes, Master.

Old friend,

looks like it's time for me to go and see you.

Qin Chen's residence is right ahead.

It should be here.

It's the two of you.

Chen is right.

Someone from the Ghost Immortal Sect is really here.

Do you think you kiddos

can stop me?

Five Elements Devastation Great Array!

An array?

I think you two have a death wish.

Qiming,

you go.

Saber Essence!

Surging Wave!

Unexpectedly,

this lad

has improved so much

in such a short time.

Saber Essence!

Splitting Sky!

Bloody Palms!

Chasing Stars and Moon!

Do you think you're strong enough

to hurt me?

Lone Peak Slash!

Silver Lining!

[No.]

You two

are courting death.

Wang Qiming,

are you alright?

Still breathing.

Smack!

Surprisingly, you're able to fight back.

I think you two

want to die.

Saber Essence!

Exterminate!

Blast it.

I'll be in danger if I stay here any longer.

I have to find a way to run.

Oh no, he's running away.

Stop him.

Ms. Qin?

Thank you for your help.

Don't mention it.

You're Qin Chen's friends.

And you're here to protect me.

Of course, I can't let you

come to any harm.

Where is Chen?

He asked us over to protect Ms. Qin.

Where did he go?

Elder Ling Zhong from the Ghost Immortal Sect

has come to the Capital.

It's likely that other martial artists of the sect are nearby.

If Chen runs into them, he'll be in trouble.

Chen is incredible.

You have nothing to worry about.

You're right.

Chen,

you have to be careful.

I, Zhao Feng,

pay respect to Your Majesty.

I, Qin Feng, pay respect to Your Majesty.

Raise.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

The King of Lingnan,

Qin Yuanhong,

why did you bring Ms. Zhao

and Qin Feng here?

Your Majesty,

it's regarding the case of Qin Feng killing Nian Wuji.

That's why I bring my sister and Qin Feng over.

Hasn't it been settled?

What else do you want to say?

According to Qin Feng,

Nian Wuji wasn't killed by him.

This is a severe matter.

And Qin Feng's reputation is at stake.

So I think…

The King of Lingnan,

everyone knows that Qin Feng killed Cao Heng

and Nian Wuji.

Besides, King of Lingwu was there at that time.

With him taking charge,

no one would wrongly accuse Qin Feng.

Your Majesty,

all this is Qin Chen's evil device.

According to Qin Feng,

the real culprit who killed Nian Wuji and Cao Heng

is Qin Chen.

But Qin Feng is identified as the murderer

due to some misunderstandings.

Nonsense.

The King of Lingnan, as a nobleman in the Xuan,

you're always impartial to your subordinates.

But you know the Ghost Immortal Sect is advancing toward the Capital,

and the Zhao is eyeing us covetously.

In order to protect your nephew,

you practice favouritism.

I think you're too old to think straight.

Your Majesty,

precisely because the Zhao is eyeing us

and the Ghost Immortal Sect is trying

to intrude on our capital,

we should investigate the incident more thoroughly

so as not to wrong the innocent.

Your Majesty, please look into this.

Your Majesty,

there were many people there on that day.

And the martial artists from the You could bear witness.

The truth was out.

We didn't wrong anyone.

The King of Lingnan is bending the law for personal gain.

I hope Your Majesty will look into this.

Bending the law for personal gain?

Lord Kang,

I remember your beloved daughter,

Zhao Lingshan, was also there.

If there is evidence to prove

that the real culprit who killed Nian Wuji and Cao Heng is Qin Chen,

your beloved daughter

must be one of the accomplices.

You're afraid that she'll be implicated,

so you assert that Qin Feng is the murderer.

Lord Kang, you're the one

who is bending the law for personal gain.

Nonsense.

Yuanhong.

Your Majesty,

What the King of Lingnan said is very true.

My family is loyal.

How could we bring such a disaster to the Xuan?

My son is definitely not the murderer

who killed Cao Heng and Nian Wuji.

I hope Your Majesty will look into it

and do justice to my son.

Enough.

King of Lingwu,

what's your view on this?

Your Majesty,

the witness testimonies and proof

all point to Qin Feng.

But

both Qin Feng and Qin Chen

are heroes of the Xuan.

They shouldn't be punished in this way.

Your Majesty…

News!

Your Majesty,

Zuo Li, Chief of the City Guard, has reported

that the Ghost Immortal Sect martial artists have broken into Qin Chen's residence,

trying to hurt him.

What?

The Ghost Immortal Sect is here already?

Feng.

Are you sure they're members of the Ghost Immortal Sect?

That is what Chief Zuo Li reported.

It should be correct.

And according to the city guard's informant,

except for the western part of the city,

there is also a Ghost Immortal Sect team

heading toward the east.

It seems that

they're going

to King of Might residence.

This is outrageous.

The Ghost Immortal Sect is so daring.

How dare they trespass on our capital

and hurt our martial artists?

Do they really think the Xuan is a pushover?

Your Majesty,

please order to kill the intruders

to uphold the prestige of the Xuan.

Your Majesty,

the Capital is an important place for the Xuan.

We can't let the Ghost Immortal Sect wantonly trample on it.

If words get out,

it'll tarnish the reputation of our kingdom.

I hope Your Majesty will issue the order quickly.

This Ghost Immortal Sect

shows no respect

for me.

King of Lingwu.

Yes.

Go to Qin Chen's residence now

to capture the martial artists of the Ghost Immortal Sect.

Qin Chen is a hero of the Xuan.

No matter what,

you can't let him come to any harm.

Yes.

Lord Kang.

Yes.

You'll be in charge of the city guard.

Command all city guards

to turn up for duty

to guard the entrances and exits

and maintain the order of the Capital.

Yes.

You two go and see to it now.

Yes.

Your Majesty.

Cut it out.

The Ghost Immortal Sect

has come to our capital.

The top priority

is to guarantee the safety

of the Capital.

Qin Yuanhong.

Yes.

The Ghost Immortal Sect has gone to your residence.

You should hurry back and have a look.

As for Ms. Zhao and Qin Feng,

they can stay here.

I will send the Royal Guard

to protect them.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

Who is it?

Who are you?

So, you're the Emperor of the Xuan?

Who is the daredevil that breaks into the hall?

I am the leader of the Ghost Immortal Sect,

Nian Shuo.

Guards!

Guards!

Yan Huai, protect His Majesty!

Hurry up!

Protect who?

Protect your Emperor?

I might as well tell you.

Even if you shout your lungs out,

no one will come.

How can this be?

Be careful!

Feng, what are you doing?

Come back here.

An insignificant Nian Shuo

has the audacity

to intrude into the Palace of the Xuan.

Do you really think we're soft meat?

Zhao Gao,

you're clueless that you're going to die soon.

This is ridiculous.

I came here today

to take your life.

How dare you!

Nian Shuo,

I, Qin Yuanhong,

will never let you lay a finger on His Majesty.

So, you're Qin Yuanhong?

Zhao Zhen,

isn't he one of yours?

Qin Yuanhong,

take Feng with you

and leave.

You…

Zhao Zhen?

Zhao Gao,

you've occupied the throne of the Xuan for so many years.

It's time for you to step down.

Uncle Zhen.

Zhen.

Qin Yuanhong,

what are you waiting for?

Leave.

You…

Uncle Zhen.

Why do you…

Feng!

Feng!

Feng!

Feng, are you okay?

Feng.

I have pills.

Feng.

Nian Shuo, what are you doing?

Why don't you tell me?

This man killed my son

in the Competition of Five Kingdoms.

How can I let him live?

Swallow it, Feng.

Swallow it.

It was Qin Chen who killed Nian Wuji,

not him.

Even if it wasn't him,

so what?

As far as I know,

He was there

during the Competition of Five Kingdoms.

In other words,

he had a chance to save my son.

But he didn't do it.

An accomplice like him

deserves to die.

You…

As for Qin Chen,

don't worry.

I will definitely tear him to pieces.

What?

You…

And you, Zhao Zhen,

This brat

is just your nephew.

You…

It's never wise to be soft-hearted when accomplishing great things.

I don't think you'll stand against me

for this brat.

I'm sorry, Mother.

I have to go first.

No.

Feng.

Hang in there.

You'll be fine.

I won't let anything happen to you.

Feng.

Feng.

Feng.

Open your eyes.

Open your eyes. Look me.

Look at me, Feng.

Feng.

Mother,

I've embarrassed you.

I don't want you to do us proud

or be the number one of the Xuan.

I just want you to live.

I beg you to stay with me.

Mother.

Uncle Zhen…

Uncle Zhen is so conniving.

Stay away from him.

Mmm.

Don't pick on Qin Chen

in the future.

Take good care of Fen.

Mother.

I…

I was wrong.

No.

Feng.

Feng.

Feng.

Feng!

Feng, wake up! Feng!

Feng…

My Feng!

Qin Yuanhong,

why aren't you moving?

Do you want to get your whole family killed?
