Is that...

...Xiang Liu?

I didn't even have time to activate the Saint-Fiend Form.

A Chuan,

we're trapped.

Where is this?

Never mind that.

Let's get out first.

How is this possible?

This prison...

What's wrong with this prison?

With my current strength at the Great Sun Realm,

I can't even scratch it.

Don't waste your energy.

With your weak lightning,

there's no way you can break the Rock King Sealing Domain...

...personally set up by His Majesty.

The Rock King Sealing Domain?

A very complex protective domain.

Truly amazing —

it contains a trace of the soul of natural law.

This is somewhat similar

to a King's law domain.

A King's law domain?

Let me test

just how hard it is to break.

I told you, you can't do it —

you really can't.

My lightning...

Because this prohibition

was specifically set up for me.

Who exactly are you?

I am Demon King Kui, of the fifth sky level,

under the command of Grand Commander Xiang Liu.

Ming...

...Kui.

[Ming Kui, Fifth Sky Level Demon King]

A fifth sky level Demon King?

And not only that —

a fifth sky level Demon King who's been imprisoned.

It seems the domain

was specifically set up for him.

Most of the domain's power

is being used to suppress him.

Right now, he probably can't even bring out

the power of the third sky level.

He's not even at the third sky level,

yet he can absorb my lightning.

Just now,

how did you do that?

You wouldn't understand.

You've never even seen

real lightning before.

Who's never seen lightning?

The lightning in your part of the world —

you call that lightning?

At best,

you could call it a flash.

Compared to Kui's,

your lightning can only be called a flash.

Why isn't it working?

Kui?

He's the Kui that Jiu Ying mentioned.

If that's the case, what does real lightning

actually look like?

Not going to tell me?

Zhuang Sheng,

do you think this creature

is now at less than the third sky level?

That's right.

But even so,

I think we

should still fight.

I told you,

so weak.

A Chuan,

the demon race is very cunning.

This Demon King Kui —

who knows why he's imprisoned here.

We'd better not do anything reckless.

Zhuang Sheng,

this creature did it on purpose.

What?

This creature

is provoking me.

A shallow application.

Let me show you

what real lightning techniques are.

This is lightning?

Lightning can flow

like water.

Is this really lightning?

Lightning can be as sharp

as metal.

Lightning can also be as fierce

as fire.

Primal Soul Technique,

Flowing.

That lightning...

...is the axis of the sun.

So that's it.

Lightning

can transform into anything.

That's right.

Metal, wood, water, fire, earth —

heaven, earth, wind, mist —

everything can become lightning.

But,

none of this is real lightning.

Am I right?

If that's the case,

you want to witness real lightning?

You've been putting on a magic show for half a day —

so this is what you meant.

So?

Do you want to make it a deal,

beg me to help you escape?

No.

I just want you to answer one question for me.

As long as you can give me a satisfactory answer,

I'll let you

witness real lightning.

What question?

What exactly is the question?

Can you explain

what love is?

[What is love?]

I, Demon King Kui,

was born controlling the highest lightning,

followed the Grand Commander for a thousand years,

killed for a thousand years.

I have no fear,

never retreated.

Life and death —

I never hesitated.

Until...

...I met her.

When my hand touched her,

I knew I could easily crush her.

Even through her clothes,

I could feel how soft her skin was,

how delicate her bones.

But I let go.

I missed the chance to kill her.

Then,

the Grand Commander came.

The Grand Commander, thinking he was the Great Yue Emperor,

and I intended to kill the empress.

I missed the chance to kill the woman

who had the Grand Commander entranced.

Because when I touched her,

it felt like I'd been struck by lightning.

Turns out there's still a kind of lightning in this world that I've never seen.

I control the highest lightning —

no lightning can hurt me.

Day and night, I recalled that feeling,

until...

...she came to see me.

I asked her,

back then,

what lightning technique did you use?

That's not a lightning technique.

That is love.

She said,

you've fallen in love with me.

The Great Yue Empress —

a mysterious figure.

So,

he loves her,

and he loves her.

She made him

love her.

No, no.

The two of them both love her.

He and he...

...became enemies.

So,

you fell in love with the Great Yue Empress.

I don't know, either.

In the dictionary of the demon race,

that character doesn't exist.

So,

what is love?

Love is...

It's roughly when you meet someone,

you realize she's fate,

and also a surprise.

She makes you fragile,

makes you afraid,

makes you unlike yourself.

She'll become your weakness,

but at the same time,

she also makes you brave,

makes you strong,

makes you fearless.

Alright,

I can't explain what love is, either.

But when you see her,

your heart will tell you

that you love her.

Heart?

But we demons don't have hearts.

That's true.

Why am I even talking about this to a demon?

At least you've answered

my question.

So, let me show you

real lightning.

Here...

Here...

...is my birthplace —

Lei Ze.

Lei Ze?

It's coming.

What?

This is real lightning.

If you can comprehend the lightning of Lei Ze,

then maybe you really could fight the Grand Commander.

Zhuang Sheng,

if I manage to activate the Saint form,

will my Saint-Fiend Form

also transform?

If you can activate the Saint-Fiend Form

on the basis of the Saint form,

a major transformation will certainly occur.

If that's the case,

do I already have the ability to fight Xiang Liu?

Right now, in your Saint-Fiend Form state,

you're already equal to the Incessant Saint Realm.

If you transform once more,

fighting might not be impossible.

However,

in human history,

no one has ever succeeded in killing a demon race Grand Commander.

If that's the case, then let me

be the first.

If we want to save Great Yue,

save Cang Yuan,

we have to do it.

What are you going to do?

I'm going to paint.

I'm going to paint the lightning

that I just saw.

And before I finish painting,

my body

I entrust to you.

Leave it to me.
