[Ever Night]

[Episode 54]

Ning Que greets Empress.

I've long wanted to talk to you alone.

I wonder what you will say.

General Xia Hou is my only sibling.

Tuyang City events are known to me.

I'm curious.

What happened between you and General Xia Hou?

Last year at Northern Pass,

Xia Hou's henchmen tried to murder Princess.

I was there.

You think the plotter was me.

You think I'd do anything.

This is your family matter.

I won't butt in.

What if I want you involved?

Whether it's you or whether it's Princess,

you force me to choose.

I don't want you to support or oppose anyone.

Believe it or not, I've never ordered anyone

to help my child and me fight for something.

If you've a grudge with Xia Hou...

I'm just a foot soldier from Wei City.

But if I'm determined to do something,

even if I'll die, I'll finish it.

Mister 13.

Let me remind you sincerely.

Though you're Fu Zi's Disciple

and Yan Se's successor,

there's a huge gap between

you and my brother.

I know.

One more thing–

This is known to very few

but I want to tell you today.

I was a Demon Sect Saintess.

Like it or not, you must heed me.

Protecting the Array,

safeguarding Tang,

from now on

is my responsibility.

I was going to refuse.

But I like this place.

I like this free nation.

I like its peaceful, happy life.

So, I'm willing to do it.

(Heaven Book Sun Volume)

(Ye Hongyu, Mo Shanshan, Ning Que)

(Ye Hongyu, Mo Shanshan, Ning Que)

Why haven't I received God's blessing?

Why hasn't what I want appeared?

Or have I been getting

further away from them?

Indeed the Abbot

resumed the game with a living corpse.

But Long Qing is crippled.

With Abbot's help,

he went to the Abbey

to study Book of Heaven.

Long Qing will rise again.

A man humiliated by Ning Que

understands vengeful power.

So we'll wait.

I can't wait.

That person reached Wu Dao apex.

Yes, Hierarch.

Tang Emperor approved Xia Hou's retirement.

He's a Xiling foreign officer.

Since he's headed to the capital,

he should detour to Xiling.

If Ning Que is Hades' Son,

then Xia Hou

is the foe who killed his father and family.

Even if Xia Hou is going to die,

he'll take Ning Que with him.

If not for himself,

he'll do it for his sister.

Then I'll arrange for Xia Hou to visit you soon.

'Yan Ming (Bright Eye) Lake'.

Sang Sang.

We need to buy all Yan Ming Lake.

- Okay. - Eh?

Not asking why?

You'd decide reasonably.

It may cost a lot.

We are cash poor.

I have an idea.

What idea?

The idea is...

I won't tell you.

Sang Sang, you came at last.

Sister Dewdrop.

If anyone asks,

say I stole them.

Don't worry.

I understand your Young Master's mind.

Have some tea.

Please.

Lord Zhong, please.

It's a lot of people.

Every day is crowded.

Know who he is?

He's Lord Zhong Li,

the Academy's Zhong Dajun's father.

Give him no advantage.

Squeeze him for money.

[ Zhi Shou Abbey ]

Hey. You've come here many days.

Why didn't you improve?

How are you cleaning?

(Old Brush Shoppe)

Young Master, food's ready.

Did Dewdrop suspect?

I told her I stole it.

I made you a thief in name.

I'm so sorry.

- Here. - It's fine.

Mister 13 can't chase money.

To earn more money, I'll do anything.

Eat more.

Eat more too.

Son, today see something.

Father, what is it?

Mister 13's 'Chicken Soup Note'

with his personal stamp.

Mister 13.

Ning...

Ning Que.

I...

Father...

You brat.

Know what it's worth?

- I spent 50,000 taels. - Father, 50,000 taels.

50,000, what for?

My treasure.

Father, what Mister 13?

He was a Wei City foot soldier.

Now you're obsessed with him.

Okay, someday

I'll prove you wrong.

Little brat.

This is Heaven Book 'Sand' Volume.

It records countless Cultivation methods

that are subtle.

'An introduction to Light Doctrine'.

Heaven Dao Gate, 'Amazing Wonder'.

Heaven Pillar Palm.

And even

Demon Sect's most mysterious evil art.

This Skill is based on Taotie.

Basically it seizes other Cultivators' Psychic Power

to strengthen oneself.

After Dao modification,

it no longer ate flesh and blood

but seized Psychic Power.

It seems less bloody.

Greetings, Uncle Yi Chen.

You can't control your desire.

Studying Book of Heaven brings nothing but harm.

I want to be powerful.

Please, Uncle,

teach me Xiling secret skills.

Way back, Liu Bai Cultivated here.

He had to stab himself

to stop being swallowed by Sand Volume.

I don't fear pain or difficulty.

Everyone claims no fear of pain or difficulty.

Of Xiling's thousands,

only a few have the chance

to enter the Abbey.

Those understanding Heaven Book

are one in a million.

I'm utterly sincere.

Since you came here,

what did you do?

I did chores in these few days.

If you want me to clean up crap,

I'd do that too.

I'll willingly do anything for our people.

Long Qing.

You haven't done enough.

Not enough...

[Xiling Immortal Shrine]

[Lucky Star Gambling House]

There's big gossip

that calligraphy for sale at Red Sleeves

was stolen by your maid.

Today you came to check this House's accounts.

What do you want to do?

Brother Qi Si.

It's 50,000 taels from calligraphy, plus savings.

Please calculate

how much to reach 80,000 taels?

- Count it. - Okay.

We still need

11,462 taels.

Indeed, it's

11,462 taels.

If you become my woman,

I guarantee you'll leave here and be respected Chief again.

I don't get it. Why Yan Ming Lake?

The capital has many lakes.

Yan Ming Lake is the right size,

with a great view.

Besides,

I like quiet.

Fine to like quiet.

But you needn't buy the whole lake.

Yes, fine. No discussion.

Since you've decided, how's this?

I have money.

Once you negotiate,

I'll lend you the balance.

Thank you, Bro Qi Si.

When it's time to sign paperwork with the seller,

please show up.

You won't show up? Who do I write as owner?

Write 2nd Bro Chao's name.

In that case,

skip the details.

Brother Qi Si.

Please keep my buying the lake a secret.

I can. But how long?

Buying an entire lake will cause a stir.

Until this winter.

It's a promise.

Thanks, Bro Qi Si.

[Lucky Star Gambling House]

After buying the lake,

we'll be poor again.

From then, eat noodles.

Okay.

- Hey. - Yeah?

Well?

Have you decided?

You decided

to marry me?

Tonight I'm more resolute than ever before.

If you'd decided earlier,

I needn't have put in so much effort.

Yes.

God sometimes

loves to play jokes.

Are we doing it here?

Aren't you a bit eager?

What are you doing?

If you can't see what,

you can only become a blind man.

Don't forget.

You're no longer Dao Addict.

Death isn't scary.

I want you to suffer

forever in this world.

Come on.

Hurry up.

Quickly find me.

Quickly find me.

Is someone inside?

Is someone inside?

Drunkenly fall asleep.

Waking, admire world treasures.

This is a dream for many people.

A magnificent royal palace

will become

a horrifying prison too.

Who are you?

How long have you been here?

Your lower body...

Where is it?

Cutting off the lower body

is a most cruel punishment.

But I survived.

For many years too.

You're still alive.

Are you a Saint who crossed Five Realms?

Twenty years ago, I crossed

the door above the Five Realms.

Saint.

You're the first Saint I've met.

You're too weak.

You're too weak.

You...

You're rubbish.

You're rubbish.

What's your right to enter the Abbey?

What's your right to talk to me?

You're rubbish.

You're rubbish!

I'm rubbish too.

Abbey people

are all rubbish.

Leader Luo.

Priest Cheng.

You just...

Priest Cheng.

You may speak.

What is it...

Justice Hall wants?

Ye Hongyu

betrayed Justice Hall,

betrayed Xiling.

On the Lord's order,

I'm gathering knights of Xiling to capture her.

Ye Hongyu betrayed Xiling?

Leader Luo.

This will cause a big stir.

I'm just following orders.

Justice Hall doesn't represent Xiling.

Respects to Revelation Grandmaster.

Respects to Revelation Grandmaster.

Leaving doesn't equal betrayal.

I don't interfere in Justice Hall matters.

However, it looks like I must act.

Hierarch.

Why stop them?

Hierarch Lord, Dao Chi is Xiling's future.

Those idiots pushed her out.

I can't accept this.

Hierarch Lord, you remained silent about this.

In my opinion,

this is a foolish act.

Brazen! You're rude to Hierarch.

You shouldn't borrow another to kill people.

So what?

I'm below God, above everyone.

Should I kneel to

Liu Bai for what I've done?

Don't forget.

He's merely a foreign officer of Xiling.

Don't orget– you're merely

Justice Grandmaster.

Enough.

Dao Chi is crippled.

Xiling needs power.

Ye Hongyu is still powerful.

I can see it clearly.

Stop hunting.

Yes, Hierarch.

'Ning Residence'.

From now, I should call you Sir Ning.

Little Black told me

Xia Hou fears water.

So I prepared a lake for him.

Young Master.

I think this time you're like an idiot.

How do you mean?

You mind about the money?

I don't.

Do you think, even if we defeat Xia Hou...

he'll admit his crimes?

That's his business.

I just want to defeat him.

Don't forget.

He's protected by Bright Armour.

Even if he had no Bright Armour,

our gap is too huge.

But I must do it.

Practise often these days.

Strive to advance earlier.

Young Master, work hard.

What's your tone mean?

Don't you believe in me?

I believe.

[ Zhi Shou Abbey ]

Brother.

Please.

This is the pharmacy.

Every bottle is precious.

You must be careful cleaning this place.

- Bro. - Huh?

Hand over the cleaning to Long Qing.

Yes.

Please handle it, Brother.

Divine Channeling Pill.

Little Bro, here you go.
