Welcome back to another day in the life.
Um, a lot of you guys have been asking me
for my makeup routine,
so I thought I'd do something kinda different today,
but I'm happy to walk you guys through.
Honestly, like, you might be underwhelmed.
I do pretty natural makeup because usually it's just me

So I don't do a lot of, like, full-glam looks,

I usually wash my face in the shower.

I know he wants to go to the museum,

Sit. - Madam Maze,
we were just yelling for help.
How did you not hear us?
- Yelling?
I was baking cookies.
- [Kira] Do you have another door?
Your front door's jammed.
- Oh, that darn thing's been acting up again.
I called the handyman six times this week.
It's waterlogged from a flood.
But it will only be a few hours until it unsticks.
- I'm sorry, hours? - No.
- What? - Ma'am, we have to go home.
- Go?
You can't go.
Not without a reading.
That is why you're here.
Is it not?
- (chuckles) Well, I mean.
- Why else would you enter my sanctum?
Free of charge, for your inconvenience.
(tense music)
I can tell you're unsure.
I understand.
The power of psychics can be terrifying.
- We don't believe in magic.
- Who said anything about magic!
(tense music)
I assure you, Kira, nothing here is magic.
- How do you know my name?
- Kira. - No, that's, that's fucked.
You don't know me.
- It's obvious, is it not?
(tense music) (heartbeat thumping)
(spine-tingling music)
- [Tyler] How the hell did she do that?
- Children, if there's any threat here,
it's you two towards me.
Sit.
- Kira, don't. - What?
I'm not afraid of magic.
(tense dramatic music)
- I insist.
Take one.
- All right.
(tense dramatic music)
(Kira sniffing)
(tense dramatic music)
- Tyler, wait. Oh my god.
(tense dramatic music)
(electricity buzzing)
(tense dramatic music) (Madam Maze convulsing)
- [Tyler] Kira!
- I don't know! I don't know! - What is this?
(tense dramatic music) (Madam Maze screaming)
Kira, what the hell was in that cookie?
[Kira] I don't know, I don't know!
[Tyler] Where'd she go?
(Kira screams)
(tense music) Kira.
- Interesting.
Very interesting.
- [Kira] Let him go.
(tense music)
(Tyler grunts) Stop it!
(Madam Maze sniffs Tyler's hair)
(tense music)
(transition clicks)
(tense suspenseful music)
- [Tyler] Where'd the crazy bitch go?
- [Kira] I wanna go home.
I wanna go home.
(Tyler groaning)
- Come here. - [Kira] What's happening?
- [Madam Maze] I said come here!
(chair sliding across floor) (tense dramatic music)
- [Kira] Oh my god!
(Tyler grunting) Babe?
Babe?
Tyler. (Tyler choking)
(tense suspenseful music)
(chair scoots across floor)
(tense suspenseful music) (Tyler choking)
- Take a card.
- [Kira] What's wrong with him?
(Tyler choking)
Tell me! He can't breathe!
- Kira. (Choking)
Kira. - Silence.
(tense suspenseful music)
Take a card.
- [Kira] Now, help him.
- Ah.
Interesting.
(tense suspenseful music)
You don't believe in the unbelievable.
- [Kira] Help him!
Your eyes are open, but you've never seen.
- Jesus Christ, help him!
Just help him!
(tense suspenseful music)
(flame whooshes)
(tense suspenseful music)
- Spirits.
(tense suspenseful music)
Release thy grip from this boy.
(flame whooshes)
(spine-tingling music)
(Tyler coughing)
- Are you okay now? (Tyler coughing)
Oh!
- Fuck!
- [Kira] Tyler, are you okay?
- Fuck!
- [Kira] Tyler, are you okay?
What the hell are you doing?
Get away from us!
Just get away!
- [Tyler] Enough of this smart house bullshit!
You crazy bitch!
(tense suspenseful music) (furniture sliding)
(button clicks)
(tense music)
- Dark spirits cling to you,
the boy who chases fame,
and the girl who lies about love!
Until you surrender your lives,
Tyler, thy lady has drawn the royal hangman
and thus sealed your fate.
The haunting will never cease.
You must cleanse your souls or else.
- [Kira] Or else what?
(tense suspenseful music)
- Within the hour, you will die.
No one will mourn.
No one will miss you.
Your sins will drag you to the abyss.
(Kira catching breath)
(dramatic music thumps)
I can help you.
Let me help you.
(Madam Maze gasps) (electricity buzzing)
(Kira screaming)
- [Tyler] Kira, come on.
Come on, we gotta go.
We gotta go.
- [Kira] Oh my god.
What the hell just happened?
- [Tyler] Try the fucking door!
- [Kira] Yeah, I'm, oh my god.
Fuck, this one needs a key.
- [Tyler] Where the hell are we gonna get a key? - I don't know.
Hello?
- Kira, just... - You guys,
if you can hear me, please...
- [Tyler] It's not going through.
Just help me with this door. - You don't know that. You don't know that!
This isn't a prank. I'm serious.
Help us. - Come on.
Just help me with the door. - Okay.
Just move.
How many freaking doors are...
- Oh yeah, if I can't get it, you can,
I'm sure of this.
Let's go with that, sure, why not?
- Just fucking ram it.
- [Tyler] Fine.
Ready? - Yeah. Almost got it.
It's just stuck. - Go.
(door crashes open)
(Tyler screaming intermittently)
Kira. (Kira speaks faintly)
- [Kira] Are you okay? You're bleeding.
- You don't think I know that?
Goddammit!
(static whooshes)
Goddammit!
(tense music)
- What do you want?
(tense music)
(tense dramatic music)
Tyler!
(tense dramatic music)
(Tyler grunting) (flesh squelching)
Tyler, stop!
(tense dramatic music)
(tense music)
- Kira.
I killed her.
She's dead.
- [Kira] You killed her?
- Yeah, I did.
- The only exit's downstairs or,
or up, I don't know.
- It's okay. It's okay.
- [Kira] This isn't real. This isn't happening.
- Kira, look at me.
Okay? Look at me.
Stay with me, all right?
- No, maybe it's, it's just not real.
There's something else.
There's something else that is happening.
- [Tyler] It's real.
- How can you explain any of this then? Huh?
Explain it!
- I don't know, all right? I don't!
All I know is we gotta get outta here.
We gotta get outta here. We gotta call the cops.
Kira, I need to live.
I have a life, a career, followers.
- Who cares about your followers?
- I do!
I care!
- How did she know about us?
- [Tyler] I don't know.
What does it matter?
- The boy who lied about love.
The girl who chased fame.
It's us! She knew everything.
- So what? Who gives a shit?
(both breathing heavily)
Kira.
(fire crackling)
You're right.
I never loved you.
(fire crackling)
When we met, I thought,
a girl like that,
what are the chances?
(fire crackling)
- I thought you were rich.
(both laughing)
- I think I saw a light on underneath the door
down the hall.
Think we can crack it open?
- Yeah. Let's do it.
(door creaking)
(button clicks)
(screen humming) (viewer breathing heavily)
(button clicks)
Through that door.
(door thuds) Shit!
- Seriously? - Yeah!
Every time.
Okay.
(doorknob rattles)
How's that one?
(doorknob rattles)
(Tyler grunts)
- [Tyler] We're gonna need a key.
- Fuck, it's on her.
Go. Go get it.
- Why me?
- You're a guy.
- So!
You're the one always preaching women's rights and equality!
- [Kira] Equality? What?
Okay, what woman's right is that?
Just, you're stronger than me.
You can defend yourself, just go.
- Have you seen my arm?
- [Kira] Uh, yeah.
(Kira slaps arm) - Ow!
What the fuck?
- [Kira] Just go, Tyler, seriously!
- [Tyler] Can't we both go?
- [Kira] I'll come after you, just.
- Fuck!
You promise you're coming?
- [Kira] Yes.
Yes.
(door creaking) (tense music)
Yes. It's fine.
- You promise? - Yes.
I'm following you.
- I hate this, I hate this, I hate this.
(door slams shut)
- Shit!
Tyler?
(doorknob rattles) Oh, fuck!
(button clicks)
(screen humming) (viewer breathing)
(high-pitched tone ringing)

- Ch-chat. Chat?
Hey, did you guys see that?
What the hell's going on?
Chat?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Shit.
Okay, service, service.
(static buzzing) (high-pitched tone ringing)
(button clicks)
(eerie music)

- Kira.
(tense music)
(spine-tingling music)
It moved. I...
- [Kira] That's not possible.
(spine-tingling music)
(tense dramatic music)
- I, I, I heard the body can twitch
for, like, six hours, I.
(tense suspenseful music)
Where'd she go?
- Silence.
(tense suspenseful music)
You have betrayed me.
- [Tyler] Get away from her.
- The spirits haunt you
and you shall pay the price.
I can release you,
but it will cost you. - Leave her alone.
- You shall pay or suffer your fates.
(tense music)
What is your life worth to you?
- [Tyler] What are you doing? - You shall pay the price
to be freed.
(dramatic music thumps)
- [Tyler] This is extortion.
(tense music)
- Then die.
(tense music fades)
(door creaks open)
(door creaks shut)
(Kira catching breath)
(tense music)
- Shut up.
- [Tyler] You listening to this?
She can't do that! - You wanna die?
- I thought you didn't believe any of this!
- That was before she resurrected herself.
If you don't give her the money,
you're gonna die, Tyler.
Fuck, we're both gonna die, okay?
Just give her the money.
- There, there has to be something.
A secret door or, or a key.
- Tyler. - I, I don't.
- Tyler. - I, I don't know.
- Tyler!
Tyler!
We can survive, okay?
You, me, we can survive.
Just, you have to give her the money.
It's the only choice. You have to play her game.
- What do you want me to do?
I don't have any money on me.
(tense music)
- We'll work something out.
Whatever happens.
- (groans) Wonderful.
(tense music)
- We keep fighting.
(soft tense music) (fire crackling)
- Together.
(soft tense music) (fire crackling)

- 20,000.
- We don't have any money on us.
But...
I can write my account numbers down.
As long as you promise to only take the amount we agreed.
- Will that work?
Can we go if he gives you his numbers?
(air whooshing) - Spirits near.
(gentle tense music) (air whooshing fades)
(ink container and quill pen sliding)
Write,
and they shall accept.
(gentle tense music)
(gentle tense music continues)
(gentle tense music continues)
- Tyler, what are doing?
- If I give you this,
the hangman goes away, right?
I get to live?
- My boy,
the hangman's curse
was for her.
(dramatic music)
She drew the card and sealed her fate.
(tense music)
- [Tyler] I thought she drew for me.
- The cards speak only for those who choose them.
(tense music)
You, boy, have yet to decide your fate.
(tense music)
- Tyler.
Help me.
(tense music)
- No. No.
She's messing with us!
- It's just money!
- Tyler, she's gonna kill me!
- No, she's lying!
And I'm gonna find a way outta here.
- Tyler, stop.
Tyler!
(tense dramatic music)
(door thuds)
- A man with the courage of a boy,
obsessed with greed and driven by self-interest.
(tense suspenseful music)
- I know you're here. Where are you?
(tense suspenseful music)
- You drew his fate,
and the spirits have watched.
- [Kira] Wait. His?
That was his fate?
- The boy withholds his worth to save a friend,
for thy actions, the demons shall judge him.
There is no escape, no hope remains.
They shall feast on his flesh!
This he deserves!
And, thus, his fate is sealed.
- Wait! (dramatic music)
(Kira breathing heavily)
(dramatic music thumps)
Oh my god.
Where the fuck did she go?
(Kira breathing heavily)
Okay, there's gotta be something here.
Just (catching breath),
okay, just focus, find something.
(spine-tingling music) - Here.
Come on.
- [Kira] It's gotta be here.
What the fuck?
(Kira breathing heavily) (tense music)
- Come on. Come on.

- [Narrator] When tragedy strikes in an American city,
we are shocked and horrified.
But we ignore the less spectacular,
but continuous wastage and erosion, of our population.
Every day, we are tragically wasting our human resources.
Yet, many youths, they leave school for dead-end jobs
that allow for little mental and vocational growth.
They fail to get the training necessary
for more productive work.
One of the most cherished documents of our democracy
proclaims the inalienable rights of all men through life,
liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
What a challenge to every one of us.

You can't die,
but you do bleed.
I've seen you bleed.

- No.
No.

so you could steal their voices
and you condition them to be your slaves.
(creature screams) (Kira squeals)
You trapped them here,
soundproofed the walls,
so no one would ever know.
(gloomy music)
