and defender of the secrets of Castle Grayskull.

This is Cringer, my fearless friend.

Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me

the day I held aloft my magic sword and said,

"By the power of Grayskull!"

[roaring]

[He-Man] Cringer became the mighty Battle Cat,

and I became He-Man,

the most powerful man in the universe.

Only three others share this secret:

our friends the Sorceress, Man-At-Arms, and Orko.

Together we defend Castle Grayskull

from the evil forces of Skeletor.

[cackling]

[dramatic music]

[magical music]

[growling]

Be careful, son.

That last laser was a little close.

The last thing I want to do is hurt one of them, but...

Uh-oh, they're coming closer.

Our force shield isn't holding over there.

I'll try to reach Man-At-Arms again.

There must be something wrong with this radio.

Man-At-Arms, Man-At-Arms?

This is Hovar.

Can you hear me?

if Man-At-Arms doesn't come through for us?

And the situation on Selkie Island

With their force shield failing,

that VHO is the only thing

that can save them from, well...

It's almost ready for testing.

[yawns]

I can't think of a thing that could ruin

a nice day like today.

[zapping]

Cringer's an animal

just like those wild ones on Selkie Island.

They can't stand the sound.

This variable high-frequency oscillator

goes up so high, only animals can hear it.

And they don't like what they hear.

They run.

Oh, well, sure, I could have figured that out myself.

If Hovar's force field gives out

before Teela can get that VHO there...

Well, you can see for yourself, Adam.

The animals will take over.

Huh, but why is Teela going?

Somebody has to take the responsibility.

Is she taking the Wind Raider?

She's sailing on the newest, fastest ship

in the Eternian Navy.

I wouldn't mind seeing that ship myself.

I mean, you never know when Teela might need

the help of He-Man.

How about keeping an eye on Adam

and seeing that he stays out of trouble?

every animal in Eternia.

[laughs]

Even Beast Man and perhaps Skeletor himself.

[laughs]

I can't believe how fast we're going.

[crash]

Hmm, it feels as if we hit something.

[gasps] Look!

- Oh, no! - [Teela] What is it?

[screeching]

[He-Man] Kraken, the biggest sea monster on Eternia.

The ship will be crushed if we don't do something.

[panicked yelling]

[screeching and growling]

[dramatic music]

This is getting a little too crowded for me.

[Kraken screeching]

By the power of Grayskull!

[screeching]

Now to see what I can do with it.

Didn't anyone ever tell you

it's not polite to grab?

That Kraken is sinking the ship.

[water splashes]

Those sailors are safe, but I don't see Teela.

Teela, where are you?

I must find her.

If Teela's trapped in there,

maybe she's found an air pocket.

[He-Man] The VHO's gone.

Razorfins.

They can eat their way through anything.

[roaring]

They're still with me.

[roaring]

[roaring]

[device beeping]

That wasn't a real fish.

It was a...

it was a robot.

I wonder what's next.

This must be a homing device.

If I follow the signal,

maybe I'll find Teela and a lot more.

It's coming from that direction

and a long way off.

[ominous music]

[computer beeping]

[static crackling]

The force field shield is weak,

but it is holding for now.

Father, this is the last laser,

and it's almost out of power.

I-I'm beginning to wish we never came here.

Son, when King Randor appointed me royal historian,

it was a great honor,

and it was my job to come here.

I know, but these old ruins,

they're nothing but a pile of junk.

Perhaps to some, but once, this was a beautiful city.

Don't you want to find out who lived here,

what happened to them?

I guess.

and someday I want to be,

well, we're both a little frightened.

This is Hovar on the island of Selkie.

[laughs wickedly]

[Mer-Man laughing wickedly]

How about a friendly little contest

with the winner getting to keep Teela?

[laughs]

and get out of here.

He's gone after the Kraken.

[He-Man] Then we better get crackin'.

[screeches]

[Mer-Man gurgling angrily]

And now for a little Kraken throw.

[Mer-Man] Yow!

Well, that takes care of Mer-Man,

but I dropped the VHO.

Don't worry. I'll get it.

He-Man, hey, you can come back up now, okay?

He-Man?

- Help! - Adam?

Teela.

Wow, am I glad to see you.

But I thought...

I mean...

Where did you get that?

Huh?

Oh, you mean this?

Well, uh, He-Man gave it to me.

Say, can we go ashore?

I mean, all this swimming,

I'm really bushed.

[chorus] ♪ He-Man ♪

[ominous music]

[Hovar] That's it. We have no more force shield.

- [clicking] - And no more lasers.

[snarls]

They're...they're coming.

Stay close to me, son.

[zapping]

[growling]

[triumphant music]

[Justin] Father, it's Teela.

[Hovar] And...and Adam.

Oh, thank goodness.

[growling]

[He-Man] Whew, sounds like we got here just in time.

Sounds?

Hmm, that's funny.

I don't hear anything.

[chorus] ♪ He-Man ♪

[warbling]

[He-Man] The VHO's working perfectly, Hovar.

And you'll both be safe from now on.

That's great.

Now we can really get back to work.

I mean, these old ruins were once a beautiful city, you know.

We've got to find out who lived here

and what happened to them, right, Father?

That's right, son.

I'm gonna get started right now.

[regal music]

Well, you two, I'd say that was a job well done.

Thanks to He-Man.

He saved me from the Kraken and Mer-Man.

[He-Man] And he also saved the VHO.

- I thought you did. - Huh?

Oh, well...well, I mean... well, out there,

that big ocean, all that water.

[chuckles]

W-water?

Ocean?

I'm glad I stayed home this time.

Hovar and Justin certainly had a narrow escape, didn't they?

But when one is an explorer or a scientist like Hovar,

wild animals are only one of the many dangers you face.

And yet throughout the course of history,

there have been brave men and heroic women

ready and eager to be the first to face the unknown,

to challenge its dangers

so that others might follow without fear.

It is to these unsung heroes that we owe so much.
