Last time, our all-star teams of cake, sugar,
and pumpkin artists battled for a bone-chilling reward.
The Howlers won the challenge prize of $3,000.
Oh, my God!
Poisonous Perfection and Boo Crew struggled
and Boo Crew went home.
- Boo Crew, I'm sorry. - Dang.
- Oh. - What?
Leaving six teams to head back into battle where
the competition gets more gruesome than ever.
Clean up the board, clean up the board.
Who will head into the do-or-die battle?
We're missing one claw.
We pushing, we pushing.
And who will go home?
- Tenisha's not here. - Tenisha's not here.
I don't know where she is.
On an all-new "Halloween Wars."
Welcome back, teams.
What started as eight teams is now down to six.
That's an even number, which means it's back.
The Deadly Duel.
Oh, no.
To duel is so tough because you have one chance.
It's either 50-50, like you either win
or you lose.
We're gonna match you up for an even more intense round of
head-to-head battles.
The stars of the spooky season, vampires, werewolves,
witches, they get too much attention.
Absolutely. I agree.
Each duel, you must create a lesser known character
and give 'em some main monster energy.
For your tasting element, use the wrap of a mummy as
inspiration to create a multi-layered
or spiraled treat.
Get it?
'Cause it's a mummy, it's wrapped, spiral.
You guys will get it.
Lose your duel and you face off in a three-team do-or-die
battle where one more team will be eliminated.
Aye, aye, aye.
First monster up, trolls.
- Oh. - Trolls]
- Let's freaking go. - Let's do this.
Bring it on.
- Fright Squad versus... - Oh.
- ...Team Ghoul'd. - Oh.
Liz Marek, I look up to her.
She's like the master of cake decorating.
So yeah, that's intimidating.
- Next monster, ghouls. - Oh, ghouls.
And we've got...
- ...Howlers versus... - No.
- ...Creepers. - Whoo.
Competing head-to-head with the Howlers, that adds a whole
'nother stress level to this.
They just won the last challenge.
- And last duel is demons. - Ooh.
And it's Poisonous Perfection and Bloodsuckers.
I got you.
We're also gonna increase the pressure.
Instead of five hours,
you now only have four. - Oh, my gosh.
- No. - Oh, my.
You broke Reva.
Why are you laughing like that?
We were already struggling with just five hours.
This is crazy.
I guess you better get moving.
Uh, your time starts now!
Oh, they are really in the zone.
- Oh, my God. - Here we go again.
- Yes. - Another duel.
- I'm so excited about this. - I'm not.
I'm not.
You think main character, like, they're always,
like, up front and center. How can we take this troll?
Front and center on the stage, you know?
- On the stage. - Maybe like a rockstar.
- Or like a punk rocker. - Oh, I actually love that.
So our piece is going to be
a badass rock and roll troll. He's got a guitar.
He's even gonna have a mohawk.
And I think we're really gonna kill this piece.
I don't wanna make him like a sexy hot troll with
a six pack.
Do you wanna give him like a dad bod?
I do.
I wanna give him, like, a little, like, punch.
So like his shirt's gonna be off.
He's just wearing the leather jacket.
Yes.
The troll needs to be muscular, like tough, you know?
Not just like a fat, stupid troll, you know?
- The warrior troll. - Yeah, warrior troll.
Our idea for this challenge is to create a troll who is slowly
taking out all of the superstar monsters so that he can finally
have his time to shine.
Guess who we are competing against?
Elizabeth.
The person that I am most intimidated by
is the other Elizabeth.
It's something about us Liz's,
it's just we are scary.
I would say this straight to her face, that you scare me,
and she would be like, "Oh, thank you."
Maybe we'll be so good, we'll eliminate her.
- We will be. - Don't worry, Christophe.
We're against the team that won.
- The Howlers. - Yes.
Last two challenges, they've gone big on
their pieces, and I don't think we need to go big.
What we need to do is, I think
we need to kill 'em with detail this time.
We're going to go with a wrestler
winning a championship. There's no bigger spotlight.
There's no bigger moment or movie star energy other than
being a wrestler.
I think we're gonna knock that idea out of the park.
I'll do all the details. And his clothing, too.
Yeah, yeah.
We wanna show the judges that we can put a piece out
that is flawless.
I think with this armature, it's gonna allow us to go
a little smaller, so we're not worried about covering all that
cake and all those pieces.
We're gonna nail the detail and make sure that everything
looks great on this. - I agree.
- Yes, ma'am. - Yep.
OK, so I'm going to start whipping up the meringue.
So I think that it's really important to make sure you have
a good tasting element, because last week that's what
sent home someone was their tasting element.
So for me, I want something that's gonna kinda stand out.
I've gotta do something with either layers or a swirl.
So I've decided to make a elegant Swiss roll.
So I'm gonna make a roulade with a chocolate chiffon with
a butterscotch crème diplomat.
And I'm gonna add a little crunch with some peanuts
and fouilletine and chocolate.
No one's done anything butterscotch yet.
When you eat it, you have like childhood memories, you know?
Some of the risk involved in making this type of tasting
element is not getting it done in time
'cause things do have to set.
However, I wanted to do something different.
I felt like people were gonna try and focus on something
with layers 'cause it might be easier to execute.
But for me, you know, I want to try to prove myself.
So you have to have a nice chiffon cake
in order to do that.
Chiffon cakes are very dry by nature.
There's no butter. There's no oils.
So you always wanna brush it with some sort of soak,
just brown sugar and water.
So it'll keep our cake nice and moist.
I was a medical biller and coder for many years,
but I just always loved baking.
And so my husband was like, "Why don't you take a class?"
So I went full force and went through culinary school
with two young kids.
I'm actually feeling really good about this roll.
The cake turned out really nice. I think it's gonna roll good.
Just need my crunch element to set up.
I was on season 12 of "Halloween Wars."
I got kicked off on the very first episode.
It was a huge bummer.
So this competition is super important to me because
I wanna make it to the end. I wanna win this show.
OK, so I'm gonna go ahead and start rolling this up.
Just wanna tuck it in so it holds the round shape,
and I'm gonna wrap it in plastic, and I'm gonna let it
set for about an hour before I move to the next step.
I'm gonna start right now with the hands
of the demon character.
For this piece, we are creating a rave demon
behind the turntable, dropping some sick beats.
I'll be carving the hands of this character as well
as the head.
How do we want the one hand going up?
OK, OK, I like that, I like that.
Who's burning something?
There's something's burning.
It's us, 'cause we're about to smoke you.
Oh!
In reality, I'm-- I'm very nervous.
Last challenge Poisonous Perfection were in the bottom
but on the other hand, they won last year.
At this point, it's anyone's game.
It's just who's playing the game better today.
When it comes to high pressure competitions,
I definitely get jitters, I get very anxious, but I wanna
prove that I'm not just the young guy, and that I can
actually stand toe-to-toe.
I wanna prove that I really am
one of the best.
- Anthony how you rolling? - I'm doing great.
Hand is close to being done.
Remember, we all help each other, nobody goes home.
Exactly.
Starting with the torso, I wanna get the body shaped
as fast as I can.
We're a team of ladies, so let's make a lady.
And it's going to be a demon beauty pageant winner.
She's got style, she's got grace, and a psycho face.
So I'm starting on the corn silk.
I need to color it
red.
The corn silk is gonna be for the air.
- The air that we breathe? - The air.
No, not the hair that you breathe, the "hair."
- There it is. - I'm sorry.
We don't want that dull brown color.
She's a demon.
She needs to have bright red hair.
So I'm gonna try a special technique to give it
kind of a perm.
So that's edible glue.
I'm gonna use it on the corn silk.
I'm using straws, curling it around, and it's gonna dry
just like that.
I like to create things that defy what people think
is possible.
I'm from Quebec, Canada, and I am a cake artist.
When my daughter had her first birthday, people saw what I was
making and started asking me to do the same thing for them.
So I started a business. I did season 15, and we won.
It's a big boost of confidence.
I think it is perfect.
And creepy, and I love it.
- How's it going, Christophe? - I don't know yet.
You don't know yet?
But I will let you know as soon as I found out.
Can you let me know if it's going bad?
'Cause that will really lift my spirits.
We'll see.
I'm gonna be making the troll's face,
the body, and doing a lot of, like, the fine detailing,
like, on the jacket. It's a lot.
I'm just blocking out basic shapes and, like, structure
of our troll.
The judges have come to expect a lot of detail from our team.
So we need to really, really do a good job.
I really, really wanna win this.
Um...
To beat Liz.
The ultimate goal.
These are the small details that we need because
Team Ghoul'd is blooming fantastic.
And I am terrified.
When I first came to America, I used to actually,
you know, look up to Liz.
So she's a lot of the reason why I'm doing this.
And if you beat one of the best, you know,
that says a lot for you.
Back at home in Texas,
everyone at the London Baker want me to win.
I have my husband and my family rooting for me.
My mom passed away last year, so she's not with me right now,
but I know she would want me to win or support me.
Just do well either way.
Do quick paint and shade.
Perfect.
Rebecca, Elizabeth, checking in.
Anybody need anything from me?
Nope, just more time.
The thing that we all wish we had.
I'm working on the straight leg right now.
I am well known for my anatomy skills, and so I'm going to do
the most anatomically correct troll that ever was created
for television.
I've never made a guy, so there's that, but now seems
like a good time to-- to try it.
I can't believe I have to sculpt this entire person in
four hours. What the heck?
I'm really stepping outside of my comfort zone.
- Some gnarly toenails. - Nasty toenails.
I have to push myself because if I don't keep leveling up,
then I'm going to be outdone.
- Mike. - Yeah.
Is the outside of the calf the high ball or the...
- Outside. - Yes, outside of the calf.
We're very aware that it could come down to the details,
so we're gonna have to bring our A-game
and we can't make any mistakes.
Why does Liz always ask us to do really hard things?
I know you secretly love it.
Alright, I'm just gonna work on making some gelatin
for our vest.
For this challenge, we are going to make
a rock-and-roll ghoul.
I am going to be making the entire body
and all the clothing.
So I'm just getting everything ready to make
this gelatin vest.
I wanna create a leather-like material because I wanna
create this cool tassel-y rock-star vest.
So I'm taking white chocolate, glycerin, gelatin,
and I'm making a mixture, and then I lay it flat,
and when it dries, it honestly feels
like a piece of plastic.
I've never done this before, but I just really don't think
that safe is the way to go right now.
I was completely shocked that we had won the last challenge.
Part of me is like, "Are we getting a target on our backs?"
The other part of me is I feel pressure ensuring
that we're not in the bottom ever.
I usually don't look at other people's stations,
but because we're head-to-head, I'm like,
"I just can't help myself."
I just keep looking over to see, like,
where they're at, what they're doing.
Oh, I know, I know. Don't look, don't look.
I know, I know. Just focus on ourselves.
Exactly.
I'm gonna get the midsection.
OK? I just need to kinda...
And you have the idea of the size, right?
Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am.
That's why we're-- I'm working with Tenisha,
so thinking maybe that wide.
- Like that wide. - Yeah.
Right there. And then we'll cut--
Like, think of it like a chest and ab armor kinda thing.
- Yeah, yeah. - Yeah.
Since we were doing a wrestler, we decided to go
a little bit smaller because I wanted to pay more
attention to detail.
I'm working on its leg, just adding the modeling chocolate,
then I'm gonna use the blade to cut some off and sculpt out all
of his muscles.
I can't wait to see your detail you put into that.
Yeah.
I want him to be very buff and see a lot of definition
in his muscles.
I'm very excited to do this character, but The Howlers are
amazing, and they did win the last round, so it's just,
like, giving me a lot of anxiety at this point.
OK.
I cut myself.
I cut my hand.
- What? - Are you OK?
- Can we get a medic? - Medic.
- ASAP. - Oh, come on.
2 How's that?
There's already so much pressure in
this competition, and now--
- You good? - Yep.
OK.
The Howlers put a curse on us.
- Sharp, sharp knives. - They better not.
I know where Tator lives.
I have the majority of stuff on my plate, so I'm getting
worried that I might end up
way behind. Like...
uh.
If I cut myself again, we're definitely cursed.
So, look, this is gonna open up, and that can bend.
I'm not too concerned with it.
I think we need to, like--
you could cut up a little bit more.
A little bit more? Yes, ma'am.
All right, judges, so the duels are back.
They're gonna face off head-to-head.
One team's gonna be on top,
and one team's gonna be on the bottom.
And for the challenge today, we've got the unsung heroes of
the monster world.
What do we think when we think of sidekick monsters
coming to life, right?
- Well, they're always in the shadow, right? - Yeah.
They're always just the side characters.
I'm expecting something big tonight.
Everyone here could create something absolutely
spectacular, but they might not have the coolest idea.
So, it's gonna come down to idea and execution.
Otherwise, they're gonna be in the bottom.
You want more of the ganache in this?
Yes, please.
Split.
Are you excited about your tasting?
So, for my tasting,
I'm going back home with this one.
- This is, like, from my culture. - Ooh!
- A baklawa or baklava. - OK.
Thinking back to the last challenge, the tasting element
played a pivotal role in who went home and who stayed.
So, with this dessert, it's all about layering.
I always wanna make sure tasting elements are on point.
So, I wanna kinda give
the judges another interactive dessert.
So I'm gonna be making a layered, rolled,
and spiraled baklava.
And it's going to have a chocolate microphone to put
my rose water syrup into.
And then have the judges pour
it over their dessert as they eat it.
And we're gonna have a fun element with it.
I think the judges are gonna really like it.
Coming from a Middle Eastern background, baklava is very,
very common to our culture.
It's something that our family makes a lot.
And I know the techniques to make it properly.
And that is what makes mine shine more than others.
OK, so now we go with our next very thinly of the nut
spice for my sugar blend.
- You wanna see how I roll this? - Yes.
And you use a dowel because it helps you roll it
nice and tight. - Oh.
Mama taught me well.
Then you take out your dowel and you stick it in here.
The filo dough looks a bit like mummy bandages, actually.
Yeah.
So, here we are, the final product.
Spiraled, rolled, and layered, all three
elements, not just one, into the oven.
On my head.
Wow, that's looking amazing, Christophe.
I love that all of us really love to do realistic things.
I do too. I love that too.
I think we work so well together because we're such
good friends.
And I am originally from France, Marseille, exactly.
After winning "Halloween Wars" Season 7, with the grand prize
money, I bought a ring to my wife.
And if this time I'm winning, I'm going to bring her back to
where we got married.
Ooh, that looks amazing, Christophe.
OK.
So, guys, I'm gonna use a nyami yam for my head.
We're gonna do this crazy ghoul rock star just rocking out.
I'm making the head.
In my opinion, that's the focal point.
And if that ghoul doesn't look right, it's on me.
It's a type of yam that comes from Africa or Asia.
And it's got this, like, white and purple
coloring all throughout it.
So when you're trying to create a ghoul who's got like
the grayish blues and purples, it naturally gives you
that color already.
We're going up against The Creepers.
I've been carving next to Will over the past few years.
Me and Will are working together on each other's
pumpkin festivals, coming up with designs
and creating things.
And he introduced me to his family
and brought me into his home.
It's not friends no more. We brothers.
I know how good he is, and I know what skill
level he is.
The plan is to knock it out of the park, but to turn
your friend into your enemy is crazy.
Tator, how's your head coming along there?
- It's coming. - Yeah?
Let me see. Ooh, I love the mouth.
- That looks awesome. - Yeah.
You know, I really think that the vibes for the Howlers
right now is at an all-time high.
They're working together so well.
They've got a win under their belt.
They're feeling good. They're feeling confident,
and they're communicating really well together.
I feel like The Creepers should be really worried.
Oh, we know they're nervous.
We know they're nervous.
They just have nervous energy, period.
- Yeah. - If they don't start working together as a team
and communicating better, it's really gonna be
an issue for them in this challenge today.
Guys, the belt, I'm gonna try to get the ratio right.
I'm starting to make the side plates and the big plate.
- OK. - So, I'm gonna be
doing the emblems for the belt.
This is our moment to kind of show 'em we can go small,
we can go detailed.
The emblems for the belt are gonna be that much more
challenging, because I'm not gonna be able to kind of go
big with wording.
So, it's gonna have to make a statement when you see it.
Just for you, Willie.
Somebody's gon' put a muzzle on that dog
right there. - It's gonna be us.
Come and get it.
I'm gonna start working on the face.
- Nice. - On the head.
I do like the colors that you chose.
Yeah, I love the pastels.
One hour and 30 minutes, teams.
All right, we have an hour and a half left,
so we need to... - OK, yeah.
Oh, my goodness!
If you're gonna go small, you have to have that detail.
It has to be clean as it can be, but we are so far behind.
I'm-- I'm feeling a little nervous.
I'm just hoping that we can get this piece completed.
- Oh, my gosh. - What, what, what?
- The face? - The face.
Yeah, she's amazing.
Time to start working on the hands.
Are we on time? How you feeling?
Um, I'm feeling a little nervous, but...
Why do you feel nervous, sis?
Just 'cause why wouldn't I feel nervous?
And I still have an arm and 75% to do.
OK.
Wait, an arm and three quarters.
You've got this, girl, OK?
The last time I competed on "Halloween Wars," we made it to
final three, so I really wanna push myself and my team.
My daughter, she's the reason I started making cakes,
because I wanted to make her a really nice birthday cake
for her birthday.
I've been making cakes since my daughter was five years old.
My daughter's very proud of me for being here and putting
myself in this challenge,
'cause it really is a challenge.
So the hands are ready.
They need painted?
Well, I still need to do the--
Sabrina, I think we have the arms the wrong way.
We have it the opposite direction.
This should be this arm. That should be this arm.
No, it still works.
Does it still work?
No, 'cause his hands. Tell me.
Yeah, 'cause you're looking at it this way.
- Right? - Yeah.
I'm worried because we misplaced the arms,
which is bad because one hand is super-detailed for
a specific arm.
The other hand is detailed for that arm.
So, I'm not exactly sure how we fix it.
OK.
What needs to happen is this-- this needs to just rotate.
Yeah.
OK. Well, this can't move.
- This is already in the board. - Can we get this out?
Yeah, I can get this out. I think.
I got it. I got it.
- It's not gonna work. - It's not gonna work?
No, because this one's pointing up.
OK, what do we do? Like, we have to figure it out.
Can this be lifted at all?
If you lift it, you're gonna
damage all the work I've done.
It's all right, it's all right.
2 We just go with what we got.
But here's the thing, the way that the arms are--
the hands are detailed right now, it corresponds with
the arms that they're supposed to be at.
I understand.
It's such a difficult thing to make something that,
uh, seamlessly blends every element together.
Sabrina's arm positioning was different from my hands,
and I don't have time to carve new hands.
- Can we just swap these joints? - Yeah, go for it.
Gonna need a little bit of help with that.
These joints aren't glued in, right?
- Uh, no. - OK.
Can we afford to take a little bit of this off?
Take it off, yeah.
My mentality is there's always a way, so focus on
the solution, not the problem. - OK, yeah, we're good.
- OK, we're good. - OK, thank God.
- Braces inverted. - Yeah.
We have to stay out of the do-or-die this time.
It's an overwhelming amount of pressure.
That's it. OK.
- Good job, team. - All right, let's go, team.
Let's go. Push.
You know, I've noticed around here, nobody else is putting
their dessert in their actual character.
So I'm taking this big risk by putting it in there.
If things don't work out, it could fall out of her.
It could be a disaster.
So for the tasting element, I've decided to make
a pistachio roulade with raspberry and rose that's
actually gonna be positioned in her hips.
This is something that always looks a little bit rough,
but you cut into it, and it looks beautiful.
And it's all gonna be hidden in her body, so it'll be great.
I'm gonna put on our teeth.
Ooh, teeth.
Teeth.
I mean, that's kind of a sexy place to get dessert from.
Oh, yes.
And then we can actually go in with some tools to, like,
shape her and stuff.
So, I see Jamie stuffing cake in the center of the body here.
The weight of the cake is not going to settle
the same way as the pumpkin.
So it could create, like, ripples on the surface.
Yeah, that's the risk you take when you use that as
your tasting element. - She's looking super nice.
More than half the time is gone.
They've only got about an hour left.
Are you happy with what you're seeing in these duels?
- The Creepers are... - Once again.
- ...always making me so nervous. - I know.
They have the smallest piece
and yet the most unfinished piece here.
You know, we've seen this in the past with Tenisha.
She is a very meticulous artist.
I respect that.
I love that she zones out, and she just spends her time,
but I'm surprised that it's taking them that much
longer to create something that much smaller.
What's gonna be the best way to kinda get
these wrapped around those poles?
Should I get...
Is this fondant or is this modeling chocolate?
I've never been this behind in a competition.
Our design is super small, and I don't know that we're
gonna have enough time to get those pieces, those arms
and legs and the head put on so that Tenisha can finish them
the best way she can.
So I'm gonna do what I can do
and wrap the ring post with the modeling chocolate.
William, do you have a stronger pliers?
Like, can you bend it more,
like, closer to here? - Yeah.
- Yeah, absolutely. - Careful with the--
- I know. - Careful with the finger.
Yeah. I won't touch that.
I'm trying to keep the most positive attitude that
I possibly can, but I am dying inside.
Watch your eyes.
- There you go. - Thank you.
Yes, ma'am.
Since we were doing a wrestler, I want him to be
very buff, so we decided to go a little bit smaller,
but we're behind.
I feel like I'm moving a lot slower, and I'm just getting
way too overwhelmed.
And when that happens, my head gets very foggy.
It's really hard to concentrate.
Forty five minutes on the clock.
It's crazy. This is crazy.
I'm so--
I would like.
Never let me down yet.
You gotta work on his head.
- We'll work on the pole. - Yeah.
Do we have more black?
Honestly, I'm not happy with it at all.
I'm trying to be positive.
We're really trying to come together as a team
and finish this as a team.
We gotta get his belly painted?
Yes.
Don't give up.
Nope. We don't do that.
There's the purple. I'm not gonna use it.
I'm trying to work on the vest because the vest will cover up
a lot of stuff.
- Those lids are not turned on, OK? - OK.
For our ghoul, I wanna create this kind of cool
rock-star vest.
So I made a leather-like material using a mixture of
white chocolate, some gelatin.
And it's kind of like loose like that, which looks stupid,
but if I tassel it, then that's OK.
That's what I'm doing.
I'm starting to feel the pressure of the time.
I keep seeing other teams use really creative methods,
and I think it's my time to kind of step out of
my comfort zone, take a risk, and hopefully have
a big reward.
Why did you not stay?
You gotta stay. OK.
I just hope the judges love it and they think that it's worth
the time that I've spent to do it, um, 'cause otherwise
it's causing me a lot of undue stress.
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
OK.
Guys, I'm having a major issue.
What? What's up?
My vest isn't staying.
Like, I've tried so many times to keep it up,
and it just keeps falling.
The material is so heavy, and it's hanging vertically
off his body.
Time is of the essence, but I'm gonna do whatever I can
to make this work. - That's OK.
I'm gonna paint. You fix that, OK?
Yeah, we'll just get toothpicks.
We'll just tag-team this, OK?
- Can you help me, Reva? - Yep.
We got this.
I don't wanna be the reason that my team gets put
in the bottom.
I need something to take some of the weight
off of that material.
I'm using skewers so that we can make sure that we have
a piece to put up and, yeah.
Casting some chocolate pieces.
This is gonna be for his jewelry.
And then this is gonna be for a microphone.
I wanna kind of give the judges another
interactive dessert.
I'm making a microphone out of chocolate so I can fill it with
my syrup and then have the judges pour it over
their dessert as they eat it.
For the microphone, we're gonna make it hollow.
I have this cone I've made layered with parchment,
and then I have a hollow shell,
and then I can fill it with my simple syrup.
We really don't wanna have to do this do-or-die challenge.
We are really making sure that we nail everything and that
if we just wow the judges with our display and our piece
in general.
I still have to finish dressing him.
Liz Marek is not someone I really wanna go up against.
I mean, I was learning cake decorating
when she was already a master.
I'm just going to focus on detail to beat Team Ghoul'd.
I am rolling back the tears of my fabric.
- Good job. - So it looks intentional.
Yeah, don't let us down this time, Elizabeth.
I know.
Just trying to think how we can all work on this in
one tiny area.
I think we do a better job of combining our talents
and really showcasing it.
Whereas Team Ghoul'd, they kinda showcase Liz
more than anybody.
We gotta get that arm covered.
Yes, I'm doing it right now.
OK, OK.
Breathing in, and we're calm and smooth and not stressed.
Everything is coming together just as we planned it.
I feel so incredible about this piece.
My musculature is on point.
So now we can attach Christophe's award
onto the structure
and then do all of the detailing,
the airbrushing, the clothes. Can't be a naked troll.
You ready, Mike?
I'm here.
- Coming through, Liz. - OK.
- One minute. - Thank you.
Be careful, it's chocolate. Don't put pressure.
I'm not putting pressure at all, I promise you.
I would never disappoint you in a moment like this.
- Good? - Yes.
- Great. - Perfect.
- Very good. - Good job, Chef.
Did I really just do that?
I'm so sorry.
2 C'est pas possible!
- What the-- - I'm so sorry.
Come on.
Ah.
Sorry. Sorry.
Christophe is so angry right now.
His chocolate sword just cracked.
This is such a strong character,
and it has to look strong.
And if we see a broken sword, it's just gonna completely
destroy the story. - And what are our options
right now for Christophe? - He cannot repair this.
Yeah, that's the thing.
He doesn't have time to redo this,
so he's just gonna have to fix it.
I'm gonna fix it.
I swear to God, I did not do that.
Uh, I know you did not.
And then just by security, I need to find a way to hold it
all the way until the hand...
- Don't touch, eh. - I'm sorry.
I have to be able to push on him, but I'm gonna be ve--
Imma try my hardest.
I'm just hoping that he's going to stand until the judge
is judging our showpiece.
Please promise you you're not going to yell at me again.
I will not.
Not a lot of time left, But I do see some teams
making some improvements. - Absolutely.
And some teams just can't get a head.
Hey!
We're still missing some heads out there.
I'm gonna try and mount the head now, Cesar, OK?
Mount the head.
Such little time left on the clock, we all have to rip,
zip, and tear.
That's my guy.
- It's a little tilted. - Uh-oh.
What, what, what, what, what? Falling.
The head just fell. The dowel just broke.
Oh, no. Oh, no.
How are we gonna MacGyver, this?
OK, let's get melting chocolate is in there.
Can you grab that, please, Cesar?
Yes, baby, I got you.
We have a bit of a fire under our butt.
Where do you want the hole?
- Anywhere that'll fit. - Hurry up, hurry up.
We're gonna get some glue.
Just a little bit.
- That's in. - That's in.
You want me to put some modeling chocolate in there?
- Yeah, we're gonna need to. - Hold it.
- Air freeze spray? - All right.
Good recovery, team.
- Two minutes! - Let's go, guys.
- Let's go. - Look at The Creepers.
Look at The Creepers back here. It's fully foil.
Are they gonna leave the foil as just, like, foil?
- Here, what can we-- - Uh, where's the green?
Can I have this? Thank you.
Yeah.
Oh, sorry.
To beat The Howlers would mean that we kind of slayed
the giant, but it's lacking in detail, and there are some
rough spots on there. I'm a little bit worried.
We gotta get the hands on.
We gotta get the lights on.
Gotta get hands on. You don't need me.
- One minute. - Hurry, hurry, hurry.
- You guys, come on. - Do we need anything?
Water, spray, something to clean this up with?
I wanna feel like whatever I'm about to put out there,
that I'm 100% confident in it,
and, yeah, I just don't feel that way right now.
Push it, push it, push it through.
Let's move. Quick, quick, quick.
Rotate, please. Rotate, please.
- Careful, wait. - No, no, no, don't rotate.
I have to rotate, Christophe.
Well, then be careful of the knife.
- Ten, nine, eight... - We have to clean up the board.
Clean up the board. Clean up the board.
- Easy, easy, easy, easy, easy. - You got this, you got this.
Clean up the man.
Anything else, anything?
...two, one. Time's up.
- Don't say you hate it. - I do.
- I do. - Hey.
- I do. - Hey.
It is tough knowing what I'm capable of doing.
I just feel like my finish could have been a lot better.
And it really sucks.
Nope, nope, nope.
Don't do that. I'm riding with you all day.
You got this.
- Judges? - Yep.
- I'm ready. - Mm-hmm.
First up, demons.
Poisonous Perfection versus Bloodsuckers.
Our piece is called Miss Lust 2026.
She's got style, she's got grace, and she's got the most
psychotic demon face you can imagine.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm obviously obsessed with this hair.
The way you did the curl in that, I don't even know how
you did that. Spectacular job on that.
Jamie, you took a risk by putting the cake inside
the body because cake tends to settle, and you're setting it
against something that's really firm, like a pumpkin.
And it's just, she's gorgeous. She's snatched in.
It's seamless and flawless, so good work on that.
Tell us about your tasting element.
The tasting element is in her hips.
You know what they say, "Moment on the lips,
lifetime on the hips." Literally.
So for you, I have a pistachio cardamom roulade
with a fresh raspberry and rose cream filling.
And there is also a little bit of caramelized
white chocolate ganache.
Cardamom is one of those things that it can either be
super overpowering and just hit you in the face or just not
there at all, and you hit a really beautiful,
delicate balance with that.
I see the layers, and I can taste the layers of flavor.
I want just a little bit more texture.
We made a rave demon, dropping some sick
beats, going .
We were so excited that we finished our piece,
and we were happy with it. Thank God we have a chance.
That's right.
The body is very static.
We want to feel the music,
just see a little bit more movement.
I really love the shading, like on the fingertips
and stuff, with all the dead extremities.
And look at these veins. Look at the veins.
I'm so glad they saved his head.
I was very nervous watching that, but they brought
it together. - When it works, it works.
Cesar, tell us about your tasting element.
Today I made for you a black cocoa pâte à choux.
I filled it with passion fruit energy gel,
and then layered it with tahini coconut cream,
and then dark chocolate, and black sesame seeds.
You have this thin layer on the outside before the sesame
seed, which I really enjoy 'cause it's very
delicate and nice.
In terms of layers, I definitely got lots of
layers and texture. - Thank you.
They're both super creative, and they both have
really great details.
But one team took a really big risk.
For the demon duel, we're gonna give the win to...
Poisonous Perfections.
Bloodsuckers, we loved your concept.
However, the execution just wasn't completely there.
Did I take a little pride hurt?
Yeah, I did. But you know what?
Even the best of us can fall down.
It's how you pick yourself back up.
You get back to the top is what makes the difference.
Next up is trolls. Fright Squad and Team Ghoul'd.
We did a punk-rock lead singer troll.
The face is absolutely gorgeous.
- I love all the shading in the face. - Yeah.
- The teeth are disgusting. - It's the animation in him.
I can tell what he's singing.
Fright Squad, tell us about your mummy inspired dessert?
It's a baklava, traditional, so it is layered,
rolled, and spiraled.
It's filled with cardamom, spices, pistachio,
walnuts, and a rose-water syrup to pour over,
and it's in the microphone.
So this comes right off?
Yeah, it should just come right out like a microphone.
- Oh, OK. - Ooh!
It's heavier than I expected.
It's time for Shinmin karaoke!
OK, here we go. Oh!
Oh!
- Oh! - Some for you.
Oh!
It's a party!
That's fun.
The flaky layers, everything is just
perfectly executed.
This is the kind of baklava that I wanna go in for
seconds on. So I'll take some more, please.
Thank you, Fright Squad. Hello, Team Ghoul'd.
We did a troll who is slowly taking out all of the superstar
monsters so that he can finally have his time to shine.
- Wow, this is... - Ooh.
- ...wild. - It's the battle of the Liz's.
We had to bring it.
Oh.
This is not gonna be an easy one.
Are you kidding me?
2 I love what we did, and I'm super proud of
the final product, but Elizabeth's is spectacular.
I mean, we'll see.
We all know anatomy can go horribly wrong.
And you just have this beautiful understanding
of anatomy. You could have been a doctor.
- Thank you. - Yeah, I mean, maybe.
Nice catch with the sword, though, Christophe.
If I hadn't seen it for myself, I would never guess
that this was broken.
We're so close to potentially winning something,
but yet so far.
Christophe, tell us about your mummy-inspired
tasting element here?
So this is a thousand-layer spikes.
It's inspired by a French classic millefeuille.
- Mmm. - So you have a puff
pastry dough on the outside,
and the pastry cream and the Chantilly on the inside
with Tahitian vanilla bean.
Oh, my gosh. I love it.
- It's perfection. - Thank you.
"Perfection," from Shinmin Li.
This is gonna be a tough decision.
If they were not competing against each other,
they would all be at the top. - They would've both won.
And this is what we keep thinking.
I know.
This is what I think comes down to the finish.
- All right, here we go. - OK.
These are incredible pieces. Both are absolutely exquisite.
The tasting elements were phenomenal from both of you.
In the end, when it comes down to it,
details won out just a little bit here.
Fright Squad, you will be participating in
the do-or-die battle.
I don't really have a lot of words.
I have a lot of facial expressions
about how I feel about that.
Congratulations.
- You did good. - Congrats.
I was just so focused on how good Elizabeth's piece was,
I just assumed she was gonna take the win, and it makes me
happy that we pushed ourselves so hard,
'cause we freaking did it.
It's time for the ghoul duel. Hey, that rhymes.
Creepers and Howlers, you're up.
We did a winning champion wrestler.
- You got this. - You got this, dude.
You're better than you think, but I'm telling you.
I think my favorite part of him is his arm.
You really did a good job at getting that muscle in there,
and there's just so much movement in him.
I think he could have been cleaner with the ropes.
I can see some of the wire through there.
Tell us about your mummy- inspired tasting element?
OK, so, inspired by the ever great Swiss roll, I decided to
put more of an elegant twist on it, so it is a chocolate cake
with a butterscotch crème diplomat
with some peanut and feuilletine crunch.
So, Marianne, this is a challenge inspired
by a mummy wrap,
and you literally created a wrap for us.
The spiral is beautiful when you cut into it.
This cake is very rich, but it's so good.
And I wanna linger on every flavor.
- It's worth all the calories. - Thank you.
Thank you, Creepers.
Hello, Howlers.
Our character's a rock and roll ghoul?
I know that you were concerned about the amount of time
you were spending on making that vest.
It looks just like leather baby.
It looks so good.
Probably my favorite part of this whole piece.
I won't be making one again. Yes, thank you.
What a great face, Tator.
I think if we just have a little bit more shading,
so that we can really see, like,
the creasing, the furrowing of the brows,
that would stand out a lot more.
Tell us about this mummy- inspired dessert?
Mmm.
It is a citrus mascarpone cream with lemon curd and raspberry
coulis and a little bit of white chocolate.
My favorite thing about this is actually the filling.
That citrus mascarpone is so bright.
But I wanted even more layers, because when you think of
a puff pastry, you think about all the lamination,
and that is the challenge.
I like the tasting that Marianne made.
The Howlers has personality.
They were able to get so much detail in there.
So, in this ghoul duel,
we are gonna give the win to the Howlers.
Good job.
That vest was really important,
and the judges loved it.
I know that I made the right choice by powering through
and getting that done.
We do have a note for you, Marianne.
Yes.
That was one of the best tastings of the day.
So, you should be very proud of yourself.
Yeah.
We've been fighting over who's gonna take the rest with us.
Even the tasting element, it didn't save us.
It's just amazing that amongst these people that I'm actually
standing out for my tasting element.
That makes-- that means the world to me.
Bloodsuckers, Fright Squad, and Creepers,
this might be your last chance to shine.
Your challenge in this do-or-die battle is to
modernize a monster.
Choose one classic villain
and completely reinvent it for a new era.
Honestly, what's going through my head right now is having all
those extra eyes in you while you're trying to work
and concentrate seems so scary.
Your two hours starts...
- ...now. - Let's go!
Let's go.
Guys, OK. We're a comeback team.
We can make this work.
We didn't come all the way here just to be sent home.
So, modern monster, um, what ideas?
Selfies. Um, someone's taking a selfie.
- No-- no. - OK, no.
And it's not that I don't like the idea.
It's just that that's--
that's an idea that's just been
done over and over and over again.
Everyone does like a zombie or a vampire taking a selfie.
I got it, I got it. You're from this generation.
- You're younger than me. - Yeah.
- Maybe a zombie tablet baby? - Oh, yeah.
We are going to make a modern zombie as a tablet baby that
bit his owner's finger off.
That's hilarious!
- OK, so... - All right.
...werewolf, I think, would be a good thing to do.
- OK, OK. - 'Cause he's scary, he's mean.
Like, how are we gonna make him into like...?
- Uh... - How do we change him?
Tenisha's not here.
Tenisha's not here.
I don't know where she is.
Yeah.
This whole time has just been like on a roller coaster.
I'm so overwhelmed. And-- and I just...
It's just very overwhelming for me.
My head feels so foggy and it's a--
I know.
What can I do for you?
Yep.
I know this competition can be so tough.
Tenisha, I don't know where her head's at, but I'm hoping
she's gonna find the strength to push on.
Yeah.
No, we're still competing.
No, please.
And our helper can help, but, like, I'm doing this.
Yeah. Yeah.
I'm not going home.
I'm not gonna go out because someone can't pull
their-- pull it together and work because they just wanna
give up when they don't do their best.
That's not me.
2 Yeah.
Mhm-mhm.
I tried my very best.
It's just too overwhelming for me, you know?
And I feel like I just have to put, like,
my mental peace first.
Yeah, um.
- We'll make this . - Yep.
I don't care. I'm competing no matter what.
Yeah. It's the goal.
You know what, though? Hey.
She would have been here.
She would have been a bigger hindrance
than she would have helped.
Tenisha a hundred percent let down our team.
And I think she let her ego get in the way.
And she was too embarrassed to come back out.
- And Marianne, you get it done. - I can do it.
You get it done. You're so good.
I'm telling you.
I just wanted to be here so bad.
Hey, you're still gonna be here.
But for me, I'm not going out like this.
I'm a fighter. We're gonna be fine.
I've got a little bit of cake in me, so...
Yeah. Yeah.
I'm currently working on the diaper right now
for the baby.
I am creating the entire body out of pumpkin.
One kind of big round pumpkin mass.
This is an insane amount of work, but I wanna be seen
as the carver to fear.
Looks like a diaper?
I think it looks like a diaper.
Does this change your perspective knowing that one
team has less teammates?
Well, obviously The Creepers are at an extreme disadvantage,
but Marianne and William, they both have so much heart.
- They want this so bad. - Maybe they can pull it off.
- Maybe they can. - Maybe they can.
And that will be underdog story of the decade.
Let's be honest. Yeah, the century.
Let's be real.
I've done some cake, just not at this--
at this level.
So what we're gonna do is a sinister support animal,
which is a werewolf in modern day times.
What would a werewolf do as a support animal?
He'd probably chew his owner to death.
Got the fight. Call 'em out.
I need to first use foil to create its shape.
And then I'm gonna cover it with modeling chocolate.
If I look like I'm doing
something really off, like, just, like
like, making noise. - Put some tape around it.
- Right now? - Yeah, right now.
Go, like, from neck underneath the arm,
neck underneath the arm.
I am no cake sculptor by any means, but William and I are
in, like, a good head space, and we're gonna step up,
and we're gonna figure this stuff out and actually kill it
and be here to live another day.
- There you go. - Yeah.
- Yeah. - Perfect.
Go up over the neck. Yeah.
- A criss cross. - Like a brassiere.
Oh, OK.
I know that it seems counterintuitive because
it's "Halloween Wars," but we really, truly do love
each other, and it's a very strange dynamic where you want
to win, but you also don't want your friends to lose.
And then now take your spoon and start compressing it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
There you go. There you go.
Get it! Get it!
Hit it! Hit it!
I just am so incredibly proud of Marianne and William
for continuing on.
They're gonna kill it, I know it.
I'm gonna start on the arm.
So now I just gotta start building it up with
modeling chocolate. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's go.
OK.
Marianne, make sure your modeling chocolate is thick
enough that when you texture it with fur, it's not gonna dig
into the, yeah, make it thicker.
Oh, OK, so use more than what I think.
Yeah, like, try and-- if you were to imagine how much
modeling chocolate you need for his whole belly.
OK.
Grab that whole piece, stuff it on there, and just use
your hand to smear the edges, and it's done.
These are my idols!
They're giving us the confidence we need in
this moment to really feel like we can complete this challenge.
Who's going home tonight? I have goosebumps, you guys.
- We ain't going home. - Me either.
Tenisha's missing.
I-- I just don't understand how
you could walk out on your team in the middle of a competition.
It's unbelievable and unexcusable.
No matter what, you should always be there.
If you're not getting along, it's OK.
You stick it out.
You do it for the respect of yourself more than anything.
I'm gonna start poking out our structure
so that way we can have a body to put Rebecca's fantastic
mummy face on.
So for our do-or-die battle we're gonna take inspiration
from the fitness fad.
We're doing a swell mummy.
Getting super swell and bulked up.
We decided to do a mummy because we figure mummies are
kind of one of the scrawniest monsters out there.
Forearm muscle extended about here.
I'm gonna be making the body out of cake, chocolate ganache,
and also some modeling chocolate.
Look at you getting the muscles in
a two-hour challenge.
Hey, Liz, she's getting more muscle on this figure than
yours did in, you know, a two-hour challenge.
- Oh. - I'm just saying.
- Don't say that. - I'm just saying.
Bringing on the heat, Jonathan.
- Just saying. - I mean, I am feeling stressed,
but Jonathan brings the social,
humorous aspect.
One hour.
We got this, guys. Come on.
We got this. We got this.
Don't stop.
Where you at, Anthony?
I'm finishing up the sleeve on this.
I'm gonna add a hand, and then I'm gonna get
on the leg. - Heard.
We are doing zombie tablet baby, putting a little love
and a little funny spin on it.
All right, let me clean this up.
I think that's gonna be fairly perfect.
Yeah? We got a brain!
10, 15 minutes, I wanna start painting, heard?
- Yep. - You OK?
- I'm just stressed. - OK.
It's OK. You're doing great.
- You're really doing great. - That's a giant leg.
I've got the chest, diaper, and arms of the baby
done, but I still need to get the hands and the legs done.
Feet are incredibly difficult to carve,
and I don't have time to carve,
uh, good-looking baby feet. What are we going to do?
I'm gonna kind of cheat.
I'm just gonna make a thigh, like a packed off thigh.
- I'm just gonna make stumps. - OK.
'Cause at this point, I don't have time
to make fully rendered legs that'll actually fit.
Just do a bone sticking out, right?
- That's what I'm doing. - OK, cool.
I'm feeling a little worried because I am biting off
a little bit more than I can chew.
You knock that leg out in ten minutes or less?
- We're gonna try, man. - It's no try.
We do. We can do it, man.
2 How you doing, brother? You OK? You OK?
I'm doing my best. I'm doing my best.
- You're doing great. - You're doing great. Come on.
Yeah, so I am currently working on some bone that is
inside of the thigh. Uh, this isn't quite ideal.
I'm going to, uh, create a little stumpy thigh
for him to come out from his diaper, have some bone
sticking out, um, some cuts and some muscle tissue.
To do an entire body out of pumpkin in two hours is
a very high ask.
And we definitely need to pivot in some areas.
OK, Anthony, what do you need from me, man?
Give me a sec.
I have to hack off a thigh because I don't have time to
make the feet.
So now we just have a slightly dismembered baby, which is
completely horrifying, but maybe we can make
this pivot work.
In ten minutes, we do, we make magic happen.
- OK? - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right, that's a wonderful stunt.
Now just give me the rest of the leg.
- Yep. - Thank you.
Let's go. We're not going home.
The Creepers are pulling something off.
Like, I'm actually surprised at how good their character's
looking at this stage in the competition, you know,
with one teammate down.
I feel like they're further along than they typically are
at this point, and it's looking good.
They have a fighting chance.
- They do. - They really do.
I think I'm almost done with this.
It's looking good. It's looking really good, yeah?
All right, I'm gonna kinda... I'm gonna start doing--
'cause I gotta make his vest too. - Yeah.
But whatever the vest is gonna cover, I don't need to do
the fur on-- OK. - Nope, nope, nope.
When you first hear your other teammate's not coming out,
you're thinking it's gonna be a struggle through this round.
But I feel like we've got a lot more done
than I had anticipated.
So I feel good with where we're at.
I am almost done with these feet.
And then we'll just be painting these and then it's whatever
you need, you know?
Hey Marianne, I would suggest you texture his fur before
you put on details. - Before I do the vest?
- That's what-- yeah, she was-- - Yeah.
- OK. - Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. True, true, true.
- Good job. - Thank you.
Thank you.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for Marianne,
and I feel she's better than she even believes she is.
Oh, my gosh. It's got hair.
- OK, this is really cool. - Looks like fur.
- It looks like fur. - It does.
It totally does.
We're gonna need, like, in, like, 20 minutes, bandages.
Yeah.
My team thought it'd be funny to take a scrawny mummy
and make him so big that he's popping out of his wrappings.
So I'm gonna roll out a bunch of mummy wrappings.
Here's the thing with Fright Squad.
I'm always concerned about them because they always seem like
they have so much to do. They're very fast workers.
But in a competition setting like this, especially when
you only have two hours, we all know that
things can go wrong.
So if something does go wrong, they need to have
that buffer of time.
And right now it's all hands on deck.
So we're putting a stain and a wash on our mummy because
obviously he's aged and he has like wrinkly skin.
And he's kind of a bit rotten and a bit dirty.
So we're making sure that he looks a little decayed.
And if we put a stain on and wipe it off, all the dark
will settle into all the creases.
It'll really make those pop,
which you want.
I love that.
Jonathan, you guys gotta start wrapping that mummy.
We-- we will.
I am feeling stressed.
We only have two hours to do it.
And if we don't do a good enough job,
then we're going home.
Start wrapping the mummy.
We're getting there, I promise.
- Gosh. - I love you guys.
Start wrapping. You're killing me.
Easy for them to say, sitting there all cozy on
the gallery without any pressure.
- You got 30 minutes, teams. - Come on, push.
Oh, wow. Oh, wow.
- Let's go paint. - Yep.
So we gotta make some magic happen.
- Come on, Bloodsuckers. - We're working, baby.
- We're working. - Painting like the wind.
We need to do it right now.
So we have all hands on deck
just trying to get this piece finished.
This is "Halloween Wars," man.
You ain't got a paintbrush, you gotta use what you got.
Ain't nothing wrong with using your finger to paint.
All right, go do a hand real quick.
I got this.
Come on, guys. We got this.
Don't worry, we're almost there.
Come on. Come on.
Give me a hand. We're all right
All right, just give me a sec. Your hands aren't easy.
Especially not easy to do it in under 30 minutes, so I'm kind of
rushing for my life right now.
The Creepers may have one less
person than we do, but if we don't get it
together now,
we are going home.
Gotta push!
Keep going. Give me a finger.
Are you ready to rock and roll?
Oh, jeez.
2 Final five. Final five minutes.
- Wow. - Wow.
Good job, good job, good job.
- Beautiful. - Keep it up, keep it up.
- Oh, my God! - I'm swaying.
I'm swaying with nerves.
In five minutes, one team is going home, and you and I have
to decide that. - I know.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is neck-to-neck.
We gotta start wrapping.
We still need the wraps on.
I'm gonna go around here.
Nice!
Accentuate those pecs.
- The leash. - You can make the leash?
Yeah, absolutely. Hell yeah, hell yeah!
OK.
I don't think we're going home.
You're so optimistic. I love it!
Just because it's a do-or-die, just because we're down one
teammate, does not mean we're going home.
- Here's your leash. - Perfect.
OK, put it in his hand. It should be holding the leash.
- OK. - They're doing so good.
- Ninety seconds. - No way!
Come on, team, 90 seconds.
Just get your other dumbbells on.
- OK. - You have plenty of bandages.
We pushing, we pushing.
William, we're missing one claw.
- We're missing one claw. - Come on!
Fight like your life depends on it, because it does.
Ten, nine...
There's paint. There's paint.
...seven, six, five, four, three,
two, hold.
My brother and sister!
- We did it! - We did it, man!
We did it! We did it!
Hands up!
Hands up! Hands up!
Hands up! You can sleep later.
We're not going home. We're not going home.
We're not going home.
I could not be happier with the piece.
So at this moment, I'm looking around, and I know we've got
a good shot of still staying here.
- OK, huh? - OK.
- Hello, Creepers. - Hi.
- Hey. - Hey, you two.
Why don't you guys tell us about this modern monster?
We have Lola, who is a support wolf.
And having a werewolf for a support animal can sometimes
cost you an arm and a leg.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
Creepers, before we say anything, I just wanna tell
you how proud we are of you for
putting so much of yourself into this.
There's a lot of open space on your board, but I think
this probably is your best cake so far.
And Marianne, I know you're not a cake artist.
The textures that you got on the fur suggests motion.
All of those things are great storytelling.
- Thank you, Creepers. - Thank you, judges.
Hello, Fright Squad.
Mr. Mummy was tired of being the scrawny guy in town,
so he got himself in the gym, and he eventually earned
the title of Gym Wrap Mummy.
Good.
This is a really strong piece. Get it?
The shading, absolutely beautiful.
You showed us how to do the mummy wraps in such
a nuanced and finessed way.
They look like real, real wraps here.
With that, I think that you had an opportunity to have some
more fun and be a little bit more whimsical.
I would love to see you
work in some less muted tones. - Don't match your aprons.
Thank you, Fright Squad.
Bloodsuckers, tell us about your modern monster.
Tablet children are already among the more annoying aspects
of the upcoming generation.
But when the new wave of zombie babies get their hands on
a tablet, well, you won't have
a finger left to scold them with.
Ooh.
I know that initially you were planning on making feet.
You ran out of time. This looks great.
This is serendipity, and I love that pivot.
Thank you.
Thank you, Bloodsuckers.
Thank you.
OK. This is so hard.
It's harder than I think any of us thought it would be
coming into this.
This is probably one of their cleanest, best pieces
they've done, and it's just the two of them.
It's most cohesive.
It's super solid in terms of structure.
It really just comes down to whether or not it's as good
as the other two pieces. - Let's do it.
Teams, we think you really stepped up to deliver three
amazing modern monsters.
I mean, Creepers, you worked as a team of two
and you delivered a complete piece.
Unfortunately, the execution was not at the level of
Bloodsuckers and Fright Squad's show pieces.
So you may be done in this Halloween war,
but Creepers,
you're leaving with your head held high.
Yes, indeed. Yes, indeed.
Thank you.
I applaud you. I am so proud of you.
Can I come here? Can I give you a hug?
- Come here. - Yes, of course.
I'm so proud of you.
I'm so proud of you. Such an amazing job.
Be proud.
I wanted to be here so bad.
But you know what? William and I,
we-- we never gave up.
And I'm so proud of what we were able to accomplish.
We came in here as an underdog.
In the end, I think we found the true team,
and that was me and Marianne.
My chin's up. My head's held high.
You haven't seen the last of me.
We're now down to five teams.
The competition is getting tougher.
Go get some rest, 'cause you're gonna
need it. We'll see you next time.
Thank you.
Next time on "Halloween Wars..."
We are out to prove that we deserve to be here.
...the five remaining teams...
We have a pretty big problem here.
- Seriously? - ...give classic fairy tales...
If we don't have motion, we're going home.
We do not want to go home.
...a frightening new twist.
