We're here. Look at all that snow, huh?

Don't get that in Sacramento.

Yeah.

Okay. Hey.

I get it.

It's a new town. New school.

It's tough, especially around the holidays.

School's gonna be gone for, like, two weeks

then the break.

How am I even gonna make friends?

You're gonna make friends. Don't worry, I guarantee it.

Maybe we just need to reframe this as a new adventure.

I'm up for a new adventure!

Yeah, see, that's what I'm talkin' about.

Listen, I really appreciate you guys being open to this.

It's a really good job,

I know.

Change can be tough, but trust me,

How's Santa gonna know where to find us?

Oh, Santa knows, buddy.

It's bland.

Let's get nutty with it!

You're supposed to be supervising.

Sorry, Miss Tate, it's-it's all on me.

See, I was just trying to find that Christmas bang,

and I wanted to try something special.

Make it, just, extra hip.

I think what Taylor was trying to do was broaden the appeal

of the market, which does go along with

what we were discussing.

Reaching more of the community and trying something new.

Broadening appeal is fair, but I walked around last night.

People were confused.

I know some of the kids

did enjoy the new look and the games.

But, uh, some of the families are

craving a more traditional fair.

What if we did both?

What if we made it more than just a Christmas market?

You brought back the festival because you wanted

to do something special to bring the community together.

What if we went even bigger?

This is great.

We could course correct by

creating a more active space for teens and-and families

that want something different.

And then we keep the Town Hall Market

more traditional for the regulars.

Uh...

Sophie, this is good!

The city's still in control of the carnival grounds, right?

-We are. -Okay.

We could have an event there with rides and games.

Yeah, exactly, and we could start it all off

with a big show.

And the finale,

it doesn't have to be on Main Street.

We could have the Mr. and Mrs. Claus parade

at the carnival grounds.

Unifying the two events.

And you can pull all of this off in time for Christmas.

We're not saying it would be easy, but...

I think we're up for the challenge.

I love it, but to keep things on track...

I think Sophie needs to take the lead.

I agree.

Fine.

Justin, Tommy, what's the solution?

Okay, so...

I did some research on how to remove tapioca stains.

And?

Well, the internet said to either use mayonnaise or...

A flamethrower. Or both.

Well, I'm sure you can fix it.

You can fix anything.

You really are something special, Arlo.

If not, maybe Santa can help.

Maybe.

Maybe Santa can help.

Hi.

What's this all about?

It's, uh

a little token of my appreciation,

because you're worthy of being celebrated.

And because we couldn't make dinner work.

So, you cooked for me?

Technically, I...

Baked for you.

But are they homemade?

Of course.

Here.

Okay, look,

I really hope you know how sorry I am.

I got in my own way, and in turn,

I got in yours.

But we can't let this parade get shut down.

We have to find a way to keep it going.

For you and me and the kids and the whole community.

I had the same thought, but...

I made some calls after the cancellations.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus had already been rebooked.

Who knew they'd be in such high demand this time of year?

I just don't see a way forward.

What if I gave back?

What if I volunteered on weekends to help make up

the costs, or we throw a fundraiser, or...

You know, maybe I could play Santa.

Okay, you mi-you might be on to something.

Playing Santa?

I mean, sure.

You are Mr. Christmas, but the giving back.

I've been working in this town for 10 years, and...

Pineway has helped families like mine,

especially in our time of need.

I bet this town is full of people who would be thrilled

at the chance to give back and honored to help out.

It is the season for giving.

We have some work to do.

We're gonna make some phone calls.

We're gonna fix this.

Awesome! Let's do it.

Jenna. Hi.

Um, I just wanted to say thanks for the tickets the other night.

That was fun.

Yeah.

Sorry for leaving early. My dad was just a little extra.

I don't know. That was sweet.

I mean, parents will be parents, right?

And I thought it was cool that Clover actually knew your name.

They're, like, one of my guilty pleasures.

Cool. So I'll see you at the parade tonight?

Oh, did you hear?

It got canceled.

-What? -Yeah.

All the kids are talking about it, total bummer.

And my mom's pretty upset too.

But we are still going to the fair.

So... see you there?

Great. See ya.

Dad?

Dad, are you home?

Hey, Jenn.

Wanted to give you some space.

Arlo and I are at the fair.

Please know that I am so proud of you

and will be here whenever you need me.

Love, Dad.

-Hello? -Hi.

Uh, it's Sophie.

Are you at the fair this evening?

Yes. And what are all these whispers about a surprise?

I think we've had enough surprises for one season.

I think this is a surprise that you can get behind.

The whole community can, in fact.

I'd like you to trust me.

-Hey, guys. -Hey, Jenn.

Have you seen my dad?

Uh, no, I haven't, I don't think.

Ladies and gentlemen,

let's give a festive Christmas welcome,

for the Pineway Santa and Mrs. Claus parade.

Oh!

Oh, my God, that's the marching band!

Did you know about this?

I had no idea!

I thought it was canceled.

Did your dad do this?

Yeah, I think he did.

Yeah!

-It's the biggest one. -It's so big!

Oh, my gosh, that's Arlo's snowman!

And now, please welcome

all the way from the North Pole,

Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their charming lead elf.

-Merry Christmas, Pineway. -Ho, ho, ho!

Look, Dad, they love the snowman float!

Yeah!

Oh, my gosh, that-that's our parents!

-This is so much fun. -Ho, ho, ho!

Merry Christmas, Pineway.

Ho, ho, ho!

Is... is that Sophie?

I think it is.

Ho, ho, ho!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Pineway!

Merry Christmas, folks! Merry Christmas.

Hi, Arlo!

Hi!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Hi!

Merry Christmas, everyone! Ho, ho, ho!

-Merry Christmas! -Merry Christmas!

Whoo!

Merry Christmas!

Ho, ho, ho!

That was so incredible!

A fantastic finish to it all. But how did you pull this off?

Well, Sophie really stepped up to make it all happen.

Well, the community came together.

The school helped with the marching band.

Everyone donated their services.

And they want to continue to

in the future to ensure that this Christmas event continues.

It really means so much to everyone.

That is abundantly clear.

I think we may have found a new tradition.

And also, I really wanna say sorry for my missteps.

I really, really love this job.

I wanna be doing it for a long time.

So I promise you, there will be no more surprises.

Personally,

I would love to see what you do with Valentine's Day

and Halloween, but supervising that is not up to me.

It's up to your new boss.

Wait, what?

Congratulations, Miss Shaw.

Or should I say Regional Manager Shaw?

You are clearly the right person for the job.

This crowd absolutely loved what you brought together here.

And that's exactly what Pineway needs.

So.

-Welcome to the team. -Thank you.

Oh, I'm gonna miss you, Paul!

You earned it, Soph.

Dad.

Hey.

-I'll leave you two to talk. -Yeah.

I'll give you some space.

Okay.

Dad, I just have to say I'm really sorry.

No.

I'm the one that's sorry, okay? I...

I shouldn't be trying to fix you.

You're absolutely perfect the way that you are.

Things are just

different this year, and I know you were

just trying to help.

You're still my little girl.

I always will be.

Dad?

Yeah.

Can I ask you one more thing?

One more time.

Uppie?

Absolutely!

I love you so much.

Let me in on this.

Okay, buddy.

Hello, Mrs. Claus.

I ran into Lily. She told me that you were here.

She told me I had to wait right here.

-Mm-hmm. -I don't know why.

You did good back there.

Jenna seemed really happy.

Yeah.

Well, I owe it all to the new Regional Manager.

Oh, okay.

Now I see why.

Those kids sure are something.

Um...

I believe this is yours.
