- What you're about to see can't be believed

unless if it's witnessed firsthand.

And I really hope you believe me,

because a lot of people haven't.

- Hi, my name is Shelly Martin.

I haven't been able to sleep.

I've been dealing with something and

some would say it's like sleep paralysis.

I don't know what it is,

but I just,

I just want it to stop.

It's taken my whole life from me.

I've had to move back in with my sister and

I've had to give up my entire own life.

I don't know what it is,

but I feel like, I don't know if there's something

wrong with me or if there's something doing this to me.

I don't know.

And I just,

I am desperate.

If anyone has any idea of how I can make this stop,

just,

please, please reach out to me.

Thank you.

- I feel like she would be a good person

to interview for the project. - Yeah?

- Yeah, she has chronic sleep paralysis.

- Oh. - You know

my uncle had it, right? - Yeah.

I have concerns.

- Why? - Well, are we

really qualified to help her?

And are you gonna be all right doing this?

- Why wouldn't I be all right?

It's just a class project. - I know, but I worry.

- About? - You.

- Okay.

- [Will] Plus we're not psychologists.

- Well, I'm literally getting my psychology degree.

- [Will] Well, you know, I guess that's true.

(tense music begins)

- Hi, are you Wendy?

- Hi, yeah.

I'm Wendy Martin, nice to meet you.

- Hi, I'm Autumn.

- Thank you so much for coming.

- Thank you for having us. - Of course.

I know that this is kind

of unusual circumstances, but Shelly really needs it.

- How was the drive? - It was fine.

Yeah.

- Is everyone ready to go inside?

- Yeah. - Okay.

- [Interviewer] Hi Wendy, how are you doing?

- I'm doing well, how about yourself?

- I'm doing great, thank you for asking.

So these interviews,

they can be a little stressful given the subject matter.

We're gonna ask you a bunch of questions.

Some of them are going to be a little uncomfortable

given the subject of what we're discussing

and the documentary.

We can keep it as casual as possible if you would like.

- Okay.

Do you know how frequent these are gonna be?

Just because of Shelly?

- [Interviewer] This could be a few days.

We're just trying to get the full story

on Shelly and her condition.

We just want to tell her story so she can relate

to other people who might be going through

what she's going through.

- Okay.

I just worry that, you know,

I have my concerns that maybe this

could potentially harm her more than help her

just because, I don't want this to be,

you know, approached as some kind of science experiment.

You know, she's gone through a lot

and I've just seen

how much this has isolated her

and I've seen whatever's happening

just kind of completely strip away who she is as a person.

And I just want to make sure that

if she gets overwhelmed at any point,

that we stop right away. - Yes.

You absolutely have my word that we can stop this

as soon as she and you are, you can't do it anymore.

This is not some science experiment to us,

this is important to Autumn

and we just want to help Wendy

and everyone else who's going through

what she's going through. - Okay.

Because I just want my sister back

and I just want her to be okay.

And she just has not been herself for a really long time.

And I can't, I just can't see, I can't stand

to see suffer for anymore.

So as long as you guys promise that you remain

respectful of the whole thing and you guys honor her wishes

and her boundaries, then as long as she gets the answers,

and maybe we can find other people who relate

to what's going on, then this is fine with me.

- [Interviewer] You have our word, I promise.

- Okay. - Are you okay

to start the interview? - Yeah.

- [Interviewer] So how long has Shelly been dealing

with these night terrors?

- They started

whenever we were younger when she was a teenager,

and they've been off and on,

and I don't know if it's a coincidence or not,

but I noticed that these started being more frequent

whenever our mother died.

But it's been going on for years now.

It's just been increasingly worse.

- [Interviewer] And may I ask, how has this affected you?

- Can we stop?

It's just been,

it's been overwhelming for me

because I feel like I can't go anywhere without having

to worry about what she's doing here or if she's okay,

or

I don't feel like I have a life outside of what's going on.

I feel like I've had to take an immense burden

that I didn't ever foresee coming.

And it's really stressful when you have no idea

what's happening and no one seems

to have any answers for what's happening.

And I can't stand sitting back

and just watching all of this happen to her,

having no answers, having no resources,

and no one knowing what's going on.

And I'm honestly at my last straw

and I don't know how else to help her.

And I don't know what's gonna happen

if we don't get her any help.

- [Interviewer] We can stop.

We can stop it right here, Wendy.

- Okay, thank you. - Are you okay?

- Yeah, I'm okay.

- [Interviewer] Hello, Shelly.

We just spoke with your sister

and we kinda gave her the rundown on what

to expect from this documentary.

We're going to be asking you a series of questions

and letting you tell your story.

The caveat with this is some of the questions

we're gonna be asking you are going

to be somewhat uncomfortable

and we just hope you understand that we can keep this casual

and we want you to tell us your story on your terms.

Okay? - All right.

- [Interviewer] When did you start

experiencing these night terrors?

- I wanna say it started when I was 10 or 11.

Pretty young.

It just happened one day.

I was pretty normal before then.

And I mean, I'd have like

episodes like this, but they were usually

a lot shorter and less.

Just less.

- [Interviewer] Just less.

When did these start getting worse, if I may ask?

- I guess it's kind of been like ramping up,

but it's never been like this before.

It's never been this bad.

I've always been able to sleep at least somewhat.

And it's like, I just wake up and the sleep I do get,

it doesn't seem right.

It's like, there's something there

that's just always, it's always there.

It's never gone on for this long before.

- [Interviewer] That's understandable.

How has this affected your relationship with your sister?

- She, you know,

before this I was living on my own.

I had an apartment, I went to school and all that.

And then when I couldn't sleep,

my grades started failing and I had to come here.

And I feel like such a burden on her all the time.

And I know how hard it is for her

with me being the way I am and going through this.

And she doesn't deserve it.

She doesn't deserve to deal with me.

- [Interviewer] We can pause.

I can tell you're very uncomfortable.

- It's fine. - Me and Autumn

both hope that throughout this process,

this won't be such a,

this won't be such a hard experience for you,

but rather a healing experience for you.

So please, take as much time as you need.

- Thanks.

We can keep going, I'll be fine.

- [Interviewer] When was the last time you had a night terror?

- Two nights ago, maybe.

Last night, I just couldn't sleep.

It's almost every night.

And the nights that I don't get them, I just stay awake

'cause I don't want,

I don't wanna see it.

- [Interviewer] Can you possibly describe to us

what happens during these night terrors?

- It's like I can't breathe

and there's something in the room

and I don't really know, I don't know

what it is, but it's there.

It's always there.

I even feel it sometimes when I'm not sleeping,

but it's not as present

but it's always there. - This thing

you're talking about, it sounds consistent.

Is it consistent?

- It's always the same thing.

I don't know what it, he, I think it's a he,

I don't know what he is, but.

- [Interviewer] He?

Who's he?

- I don't know.

We can cut it right here if you want.

And we're rolling.

We're good. - Okay.

Thank you.

I'll be over there in a second.

- Okay, I'll see you soon babe.

- So this camera is just gonna be recording

in the corner right here.

You're comfortable with that, right?

- Yeah, it's just weird.

- Yeah, I totally understand.

We'll be in the next room if you need anything,

you just let us know.

Is there anything we can get you

before the end of the night?

Even water or anything?

- No, I just don't think he's gonna like this,

what you're doing.

- Who?

- It's nothing.

- Him? - No.

- Are you good?

- It's nothing.

- Okay.

Well, I will let you get some rest.

Get comfortable.

We'll be in the next room if you need anything.

- Okay.

Good night.

(blanket rustling)

(blanket rustling)

(Shelly groaning)

(Shelly screaming)

- Shelly!

Shelly, please.

Look at me, look at me.

(Shelly screaming)

(static crackling)

- [Will] Holy shit, what the fuck was that?

(Shelly screaming)

- [Shelly] There was something there.

There was something there.

There was something there.

- [Will] Hello?

Hello?

Anyone out here?

Anybody?

What the fuck, man?

What the fuck?

Gotta get Autumn.

- Hey.

How are you?

- I'm well.

I'm all right.

- Did you sleep okay, like after?

- I didn't really sleep.

- Do you remember anything that happened last night?

- I remember like the idea of it,

but not really like the whole thing.

- What do you mean by the idea of it?

- I know something happened

and I know, I remember thinking something was there,

but I don't really know the specifics.

- What is like, the whole like,

time that it was happening,

it's just blacked out basically?

- It's not blacked out necessarily.

It's just like blurry.

- Okay.

Are you hungry at all?

Do you want me to go out and grab you something?

- No, I think we would probably just make something here.

- Oh, what do you guys have?

- Eggs and toast and usual breakfast stuff.

- Yeah.

- Autumn, can I talk to you for a second?

- Okay. - Thanks.

- [Will] Yeah, you know, that's probably a good note to end.

- But I just feel like asking her a bunch

of questions first thing in the morning is not appropriate.

And it's also not very sensitive to your situation at all.

I feel like already we're starting to lose hope.

We're actually here, we're here for Shelly.

We're here to find answers for Shelly.

And I know maybe the right eyes

will fall on this documentary.

And someone who's seen this before

or has gone through this themselves will know what to do.

But in the meantime, I just want you to approach this

as if,

as if you know she's your sister.

- Okay. - All right?

- I think I'm gonna go check on her and just stay.

(Shelly and Autumn chattering)

- Hey. - Yeah.

I think we're just not gonna record tonight.

Just chill.

She needs a sec.

- Yeah. - To keep doing this.

- That makes sense. - Yeah.

Yeah. - Yeah.

Hey, hey.

Hey.

Babe.

(object rustling)

This place is creepy.

(door rattling)

What the hell?

Why the hell is that door open?

(wind whooshing)

Hello?

Is anyone out here?

This is private property.

(wind whooshing)

Hello?

(stick crackling)

(wind whooshing)

Why the hell is this open?

(wind whooshing)

(object rustling)

(wind whooshing)

(footsteps rustling)

(wind whooshing)

(object thumping)

(wind whooshing)

(door rustling)

(Shelly groaning)

Oh shit.

(Shelly choking)

Shelly?

(Shelly choking)

Shelly?

Shelly, ae are you okay?

Are you choking?

Shelly, are you okay?

(Shelly choking)

Shelly?

It's okay.

(Shelly screaming)

- What did you do to her? - I didn't do anything.

She sounded like she was choking.

- It's okay.

Get out!

Shelly, it's okay.

Get out!

Shelly.

It's okay, it's okay.

Shelly, it's okay.

- [Will] I'm sorry, Shelly.

(Shelly crying)

Oh, how did that happen?

- What do you wanna talk about?

- Look,

last night that was, it sounds a lot.

This is a very extreme case of sleep paralysis

and I'm starting

to have some reservations on whether

we are the most qualified people to help her.

There was also a lot more going on last night

than her having an episode.

- Like? - The front door

was like wide open.

That door was like creaked a little.

I could see that maybe.

But this door was wide open.

- This house is old.

It's windy outside. - But she keeps

mentioning a man.

You don't think maybe there's not some weirdo around here

who's like stalking her or something?

I believe like, I think she...

- Why would the stalker open the door

while people are at her house?

- [Will] Maybe he didn't realize we were here.

- Our car is outside.

- [Eill] You saw all the cars out there.

Maybe they got a few new ones.

Look, maybe we should file a police report

or something, I don't know.

- Why would we file?

Wouldn't she do that

if there was a man following her?

- She's not well. - Obviously.

- [Will] I wanna help her just as much as you do,

but what happened last night was just fucking weird.

- I agree. - It was really fucking weird.

- It was scary. - Look, I'm sorry.

My nerves are rattled.

I spent all night getting yelled at

and it was just a lot, okay?

Look, I still want to help her.

This is important to you and you're important to me

and I want to do this.

- Okay.

I can do the documentary myself.

- [Will] No, no, it's not what I'm saying.

I just want us to be a little cautious about this.

I just, I feel like

this is a very extreme case of sleep paralysis

and on top of that,

something else is clearly going on.

- I think it's a mental health thing, but.

- Okay, well. - We'll see.

Do you wanna take the car and like go somewhere

and have a breather for a little bit?

I'm fine. - Look, I'm fine.

I'm just, I think I just needed to get this off my chest.

Sorry, my nerves are rattled. - I'm fine.

- [Will] My nerves have been rattled all night.

I didn't get much sleep.

I just don't want, I don't want you to feel

as freaked out as I am.

- I'm not freaked out, I'm just tired.

- Okay. - All right.

You feel better?

A little bit?

You feel good about going back in?

- [Will] Yeah as long as people stop screaming at me.

- Okay.

I love you. - Love you too.

- So I have a question.

Last night

you kept saying like, he's not gonna like this.

Who were you referring to when you said he?

- Well, you know, I've been dealing

with this since I was like a preteen,

like on and off my whole life.

It's just always this thing.

I don't really know if it's like a presence or like.

- It's not a person?

- I don't really know.

- Okay. - When I was younger,

I called it Wide Eyes,

obviously I don't call it that anymore.

- So have you like seen this presence then?

- I've seen bits of it, if that makes sense.

- Okay. - I can't really

remember it fully,

but I think I've seen it at some point.

- Okay.

Do you think it's something paranormal?

Do you even believe in that stuff?

- I go back and forth about whether I believe in it or not.

- Same.

Yeah.

Because he mentioned it, so.

Like it wasn't even a thought in my head

until he mentioned it.

- I don't really know what it is.

I just, I feel like it wants to get closer to me

and I feel like if it ever gets close enough to touch me,

something really bad is gonna happen.

- Does it feel like suffocating almost?

Kind of? - Yeah.

Like, I mean, you've seen it.

I can't breathe. - Yeah, for sure.

- I don't know what it is or what it really wants.

- Have you told anyone else about this?

Like do you have people who you talk to?

- Obviously my sister,

my best friend Liam.

And I'm in some Facebook groups for like

sleep paralysis and that kind of stuff

that have really been helping.

- Yeah.

- And there is like a paranormal group in those

that I've been thinking about reaching out to them,

but I don't know if it's stupid

or I'm willing to try anything at this point.

- And do you think it would give you some peace of mind

if you reached out?

- Maybe. - Because maybe

they could come and like?

- I've tried everything else

so I figure

just kind of a last ditch effort.

- Okay. - Last thing I can try.

I mean, I've tried the psychiatric route, I've tried

all the holistic stuff and nothing has helped.

- Yeah, I mean you have the reigns here.

If you wanna reach out to them, you totally can.

- Okay. - We don't feel any which way

about it 'cause we wanna help you.

So however you think is the best route for you

to go, we're willing to.

Yeah.

- I'll think about it. - Okay.

Just let me know.

- Hey guys. - Hi.

- I'm Hunter. - Autumn.

Nice to meet you. - I'm Hunter.

- Shelly. - Shelly, nice to meet you.

Good to meet you buddy.

- Will, nice to meet you. - Will.

- Gosh, sorry about the delay.

So tell me a little bit about

what's been going on with Shelly.

- Well, she's been having some sleep paralysis

stuff going on, right?

- Yeah, I've had it like on and off my whole life,

but this has been like a really long period

of it and it's just like.

- She feels like it might be something more.

- All right.

So from the first time you contacted me,

I've been thinking about a couple different things

I'd like to do with my team.

Apologize.

You know, the biggest thing is comfortability

with things that are going on.

It could be pretty intrusive.

Some people might feel embarrassed

or like they're being the subject of mocking.

But that's not my purpose, my purpose is to help you.

So I've been thinking of different things

since really our original contact.

I would like to come out and kind of do a couple more tests

and confirm, but I have been thinking of ways to

maybe detach the subject

or you know, that's causing your night terrors at least.

And kind of go from there.

These things can manifest themselves in many different ways.

Oftentimes they're attracted

to either people, places or things.

I kind of tell everybody that.

So the root cause is to get down to

what it might be for you, right?

What's causing these?

You want to tell me a little bit more about your experience?

- Yeah.

Autumn can attest.

I just wake up and it's like I can't breathe

and then it's like, it's like there's something there,

but I don't really.

- Is there something here with us right now?

- No. - No.

- I have a quick question.

Have you seen, like,

have people come to you with sleep paralysis problems before

and ended up being paranormal?

Have people come to you at all?

- People reach out to us quite often.

We've been gathering quite the social media following.

- About sleep paralysis? - About a bunch

of different things.

- But like sleep paralysis specifically?

- That can be a symptom of things. I've dealt with it maybe one time in the past.

I can assure you though that

I have kind of collected awesome evidence

in the past of different things.

I mean, one time we set up a camera on a time lapse

and captured just this little object kind of like this,

I don't know, some sort of kitchen

over the course of at least 12 hours,

it moved a couple inches

and that was really exciting.

I know it doesn't sound like a lot,

but when you're in this world,

nothing's a sure science, right?

- Yeah. - So.

- [Will] I also have a question.

- Yeah, go ahead Will. - This is a very extreme case

of sleep paralysis.

- Actually, what's with the camera?

- [Will] We're shooting a documentary.

- Okay, cool.

Sorry, not to interrupt you.

No, yeah, yeah, that's fine.

We record ourselves. - So this is a documentary,

but we're trying to help Shelly,

how delicate can you and your team be?

- We will take the utmost care of Shelly while we're here.

And if you guys need us to stop anything at any point

in time, just let us know.

We're here for you guys, not the camera.

- I'm really just willing to try anything at this point.

- All right. - I can't

keep going like this.

- I imagine.

At this point, I don't have any further questions.

I'm just gonna go get ahold of my team,

kind of fill 'em in a little bit about what we spoke about.

And if you guys want to get ahold of me again,

kind of let me know some times that work for you.

I'll bring my team over

and we can start preliminary stuff.

So we got some, okay?

- Are you available tonight? - I can be.

I can be.

Does that work? - Does that work for you?

- Yeah. - All right.

Let me go make some phone calls.

And do we have any certain time?

- Nine.

That's when it happens.

- Will, it was good to meet you.

- Yeah, you too. - Nice to meet you.

Shelly, I'll see you later, okay?

Let me go call my team.

How you guys doing?

Just park right over here?

- Yeah, that's good.

Thank you.

Nice to see you again.

- It's good to see you again.

I brought my team with me.

Will, how's it going? - Going good.

How are you? - I'm all right.

I'm all right.

- Was the drive all right? - Yeah, it was an easy trip.

Hey, how's Shelly doing?

Hey guys.

So Autumn, let me introduce you to Slim.

- How are you? - This is Graveyard.

- Nice to meet you. - This is Nan.

- Hi, I'm Nan.

- Nice to meet you. - Nice to meet you guys.

- We're gonna grab some equipment from the back. Get ready to go inside.

Is everything okay for us to be here tonight?

This was what we agreed upon?

You guys got all the equipment?

Just want to pack it.

We'll get it going inside. - Do you guys need help?

- No, we got it.

This it what we do for a living, it's okay.

- All right. - You got everything

we need here?

We can make more one trip.

- [Will] So let us know if you need a hand or something.

- Yeah. - Thank you.

- How's it going along? - Good, good.

- [Will] So how long have you guys been doing this?

- We've been doing this for quite a while.

Me a little bit longer than all of them.

- Good answer. - A little bit.

Just a little bit. - We have quite

a bit of experience, my man.

- [Will] And quite a bit of equipment.

- Yes we do. - Can I ask about

some of this stuff?

What's the little green screen on that box right there?

- So this is an EMF reader.

It's basically, I'm gonna pick up

electromagnetic frequencies and it's gonna find your ghost

in the air around us.

Pretty cool.

Love this one. - What's that?

- It's a spirit box basically, it cycles through.

Spirit box.

It cycles through radio stations

and it's gonna pick up the white noise,

whatever is here and wants to talk to us

so we can get a little conversation going.

- [Will] Wait.

Talk to us? - Yeah.

- Yeah, it's gonna talk to us. - Like talk to ghosts. - Actually talk to ghosts.

Yeah, that's what we do.

That's what all this stuff is for.

- They're in the bag.

- Rule number one, when working with paranormal equipment,

don't accidentally flash yourself in the eyes

like I just did because now your camera's

a little blurry to me.

Am I blurry to you, am I in focus here?

- You're looking beautiful.

- You have any other questions, man?

- [Will] So I noticed

that we have walkie talkies there.

How much coverage are we doing on the property?

It's a farm, but still.

- It is a farm.

Bigger locations are a little bit more fun to me.

Bigger locations are a little bit more fun to me.

And what we like to do when we come to a location is determine all kind of roots to the source

of what the problem might actually be.

I've determined in my time, there's three main things

that happen when somebody's experiencing symptoms like this.

One, something could be attached to a person.

Two, something could be attached to an object.

And three, something could be attached to a location.

So we're here to kind of determine what

that probability might be.

Or the obvious fourth one,

the skeptic side of my brain here.

It can be explained away if that makes sense.

But to rule out that possibility,

we use the equipment we have,

take for example this flashlight, right?

You see all these different colors,

stuff like this can be used for photos

or video to capture things that we might not be able to see

with our own eyes, right?

Different type of light fields

or changes in really anything

that just our eye can't pick up

until we go back and look at evidence a little bit later.

Photographs from this trail cam for example

picks up motion, right?

Snaps a picture.

It is, not cheap either.

How about how much was the camera?

- You don't wanna kbow.

- So I don't wanna know.

Is that what you said?

- You don't want to know. - Oh geez.

You don't wanna know how much this equipment was either.

- I probably don't. - All right.

You want us to go start setting up?

- Let's get setting up.

Absolutely guys.

Will. - Thank you.

- [Will] What do you think's happening to Shelly?

- What do I think's happening to Shelly?

Right now I'm not quite sure to be honest

with you, but that's why we're here.

We're gonna use all this stuff to kind of get to the bottom

of things and you know,

and kind of hopefully give you guys answers and closure.

Hey Nan, before you go out there real quick,

can you do me a favor?

Sorry Will.

Will you speak to Shelly for me?

I think it's just gonna come off better from you than me.

It's kind of like she's seen this figure.

- Girl to girl. - Yeah, girl to girl.

- Yeah, you're a little scary man.

- Hey, that's all right.

I'll be there with you, okay?

- Gotcha. - Will, let us do our job.

You do yours.

- All right, so we're setting some stuff up right now.

Can you just tell me a little bit about

how long this has been going on for?

Do you have any idea?

No?

- I mean, she's kind of been going through this

on and off since she was a teenager.

And it's been recently been getting worse.

- Okay.

So much worse that you called us.

- It's gotten really bad recently.

Normally it goes away

and it's just, it's every night.

- Okay, well we have everyone back here, so.

- Can I get you out of the room please?

Sorry buddy.

(device beeping)

- How did you die? - What are you doing?

- Sorry, I'm trying to just get one question at a time.

We're trying to listen to here on our EVP

and use the spirit box to capture any answers that you have.

- [Will] So what does it mean when it goes red?

- So this is our electromagnetic field meter.

So it's basically picking up any kind of electricity here.

So going near that light, it beeps,

put it toward you, totally fine.

Nothing wrong there. - Oh, that's good to know.

- So just getting a baseline overall.

- For documentation purposes, this is case 17,

January 3rd, 2026.

Will, I want you to understand one thing.

Your job tonight is to keep her in frame

no matter what happens.

I want the camera on her, do you understand me?

Okay.

Are you guys sure you want to be in here for this?

- I'm not leaving. - Okay.

It can get a little bit crazy sometimes, things can happen.

- I'm not leaving. - All right.

I understand the objection.

I'm gonna go ahead at this point in time.

Three o'clock in the morning, January 3rd,

attempt to make contact with the entity

that might be plaguing Shelly.

Hello.

How old are you?

I'm gonna ask a few general questions

just to see if we get any sort of responses.

Do you live in this location?

Are you attached to Shelly?

If you are here with us,

will you please make yourself known.

Graveyard, get that recorder going.

- Got it, got it. - Okay, please get that.

Nan.

At this point in time, can you go ahead

and start doing flash photography for me please?

- Wait, is that normal? - It can be.

It can get a little chaotic sometimes, but.

- [Will] Shelly?

- No, no, we gotta keep going.

Shelly, can you hear us? - Is this hurting her?

- No, she's fine.

Shelly.

Shelly.

- I think we need to stop. - Graveyard back up.

Go towards the sound a little bit towards her head.

- She doesn't look fine. - No, she's fine.

She's fine.

Shelly.

- Shelly. - Shelly.

- Shelly, I need you to wake up now Shelly.

- What the fuck? - Shelly?

Will, I need you to capture this.

I'm a little bit outta my element here, Shelly.

Any ideas, guys?

- Is that supposed to happen? - No, I've not quite seen

levitation like this before.

Shelly.

(Shelly screaming)

- What do we do? - Go do something!

- Go get it! - Go, go!

- Follow me!

Hey, you two, stay in the house in case she comes back in.

- Shelly!

Shelly!

- Shelly!

- Shelly! - Shelly!

You two check in the barn.

Nan, check the side of the house.

I'll be right behind you guys, okay?

Shelly!

- Shelly? - Shelly!

- Watch your step. - She could be anywhere.

- Shelly. - Oh, this is bad.

- There's no way. - Hey, she's in the barn.

- Oh my gosh. - She's in the barn.

What is she doing?

- Shelly, are you okay? - Let's get over here.

- Hey, Shelly. - Oh, what the fuck?

- Shelly. - Shelly.

- Will, get this on camera.

Shelly.

Where's your sister?

Nan, do you know where her sister is?

- She's in the house. - She didn't come.

Yeah, she didn't come out with us.

- I have to go get her. - Get her.

- Keep the light on me. - She's not okay.

- Hey Shelly, it's Hunter.

Watch out for the animals.

Shelly.

Shelly, it's Hunter.

Shelly. (Shelly screams)

Hey, it's okay, it's okay.

Just relax, it's just me.

Who's in here?

We gotta take her inside guys.

It's freezing.

- Guys, guys, guys, guys.

Shelly.

Come here.

- Watch your step. - We're gonna get you

somewhere warm, okay?

Can you get outta the way?

Thank you.

It's gonna be fine.

There's nothing wrong.

We're gonna get inside, okay?

- Did she say someone was in here?

- She said somebody.

- Yeah, we're fine, thank you.

- Talk to Hunter, please.

Just talk to him about that.

Here, don't look, don't look.

- I don't even know. - What do we do?

- Hey, Will.

- Yeah. - Fuck.

I think it's time that we contact somebody

a little bit higher up than me.

Guys, we need to take some equipment to check out this barn.

- Yeah. - Yeah.

- [Will] Hunter.

What the hell just happened, man?

- Honestly, I have no idea.

I mean, I've seen stuff kind of like this,

but this is next level.

I'm gonna have to make a phone call to the church.

We'll grab that gear and let's get it.

- Is he on the phone?

- I don't know. - If we can make

a copy already.

- All right.

I just got off the phone with the church.

We're gonna move forward with next steps.

- [Will] What's the next step?

- When your prayers stop working,

I make a phone call.

Let's just say it's gonna be good for your documentary.

- Okay. - Okay.

- Father Otis.

- Hunter my friend.

- It's been a long time.

- How are you? - I'm good.

- Good, right this way. - Thank you.

- Father, this is Will.

He likes to shoot for his documentary.

- How are you Will?

There's a few things that I think we need

to discuss before we take this on.

One would be

we need to get you baptized before this exorcism.

This can go either way.

I have to be transparent.

There are worst case scenarios as with anything.

- Those are very extreme, I should clarify, extreme.

I don't think that this calls for extreme Father.

- Meaning what? - What does that mean?

- There's just been some bad stuff, you can explain.

- There, I don't really want to focus too much on that.

I want you to know that this could go either way.

I don't believe it's going to go

in a bad way.

I believe I know what's going on here already.

- And you helped people before? Like you're experienced in this?

- Yes, I am.

20 plus years.

I have a fairly good success rate.

- And how often do the bad things happen?

- Less than 5% of the time.

It's a very small margin.

You stand a better chance relieving yourself of this

than you do not.

- So there is a chance of this getting better

and going away with this?

- Absolutely. - You're confident?

- Yes I am.

- Okay.

- I think at this point we're willing to try anything.

So whatever Shelly wants to do, I want to do it too.

I have to take that risk.

- You'll be okay.

- He's baptizing her right now to prepare for the exorcism.

- Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

And we pray.

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

- [Autumn] So how are you guys feeling about tonight?

The whole process, everything?

- I mean, if you ask me, I don't think

that the correct course of action for somebody

who is clearly dealing with some sort of

neurological issue is to have a bunch

of strangers come into their house

and feel the need to document everything

that is super personal, intimate, stressful,

clearly going through something

that none of us know is going on.

And it's been,

I don't know, I just, it feels very exploitative to me

and I worry what's gonna come from all

of this after the fact. - Okay.

- The cameras being here and stuff.

Yeah, it's, there's some embarrassing like

vulnerable moments, but I... - Did you guys wanna stop?

- It'll all be worth it if it works.

- And I'm only here for Shelly, so whatever she wants

to do, I'm fine with.

But I need you guys to promise me

that if anything happens while this is happening,

you make her your first priority.

Because at the end of the day,

this is about her.

It's not about you guys. - Of course, no.

It's all about her. - It is a documentary, yes.

But to us, this is so much more,

this is important to us, both of us.

And that means Shelly is too.

- [Autumn] And like I said, from the jump,

if you ever wanna stop, we can stop.

And her safety is our first priority.

Shelly, what do you hope to get out of this?

- I want my life back.

I want freedom.

That's all.

- All right, Will,

I'm gonna explain this to your audience.

Whoever's watching this, to sever the demonic entity

attached to Shelly,

we had to wait for her to be asleep at this time.

And we're gonna go ahead and start now.

- Hear me, oh Lord.

And listen to the voice of my adversaries.

Should good be repaid with evil,

yet they have dug a pit for my life.

Remember how I stood

before you to speak good to them,

to turn away your wrath from them.

Therefore, deliver up their children to famine.

Give them over to the power of the sword.

Let their wives become childless and widowed.

May their men meet death by pestilence.

May a cry be heard

from their houses when you bring the plunder

suddenly upon them.

- All right, everyone, we go ahead and perform this ritual

before the Father gets started.

Just understand that in the case of demonic possession,

when it comes to exorcisms, everybody needs

to keep an open mind and a strong will.

Anything that Shelly might say and or do, do not respond.

Okay?

It's for not only your own safety, but hers as well.

Things may get extreme, but follow Father Otis's advice

and just keep yourselves protected.

Okay?

All right, Father, we may begin.

- In the name of the Father, the Son,

and the Holy Spirit, Lord God of host,

you who cast down the proud from heaven

and shattered the gates of death.

Look not upon the weakness of this servant,

but upon the authority of your name.

Behold the sign of your defeat.

Spirit who hides stolen breath.

You are named and therefore known.

You are known, and therefore commanded to leave this girl.

You do not belong here.

This body was claimed before you entered it.

I command you, not as a man,

but as a servant of the cross.

Return to the abyss prepared for you.

The door is closed for you now, depart!

- Is something supposed to happen?

- Did you guys get anything?

- Yeah, nothing. - Nothing.

- Nothing.

- Father, any suggestions here?

- We can roll it one more time if that's okay.

- Maybe a second time. - Yeah, go ahead.

- Still rolling? - Yeah.

(static crackling)

- Power's down. - You gotta come with me.

- You see anything? - Nothing.

- This is so weird.

Still hearing it?

- [Will] Hey, why the hell is the TV still on

if the power's out?

- We gotta get back. - I don't know.

It's too weird.

(static crackling)

- You gotta listen to this.

I swear, it's coming from above us.

- What can you hear? - Is it coming from the barn?

- Okay, while you guys figure that out

I'm just gonna check on Shelly.

Okay.

- This thing's going crazy.

All kinds of different readings.

(Shelly screaming)

- What the fuck? - Fuck.

Oh shit.

(Shelly screaming) (static crackling)

- She just started screaming. - Shelly?

- She just started screaming.

Shelly, are you okay?

- No, I don't wanna go.

- What's wrong? - Shelly.

Just calm it down.

- He's here, he's here.

- Who's here? - Guys?

Y'all get out here. - What?

- Get out here. - Go.

(Shelly moaning)

- Oh my God. - What the fuck is that?

Graveyard? - Yeah.

- Where you at?

Guys, stay away from this window.

- What's going on out there?

- I have no idea what the fuck that is.

- That's so bright. - Graveyard.

You seeing this on that side?

- Shoot. - It's over here too.

- It's over there too?

Fuck.

Okay, I'm gonna come your way.

- [Will] What the fuck?

- Guys.

This is same thing. - Same thing?

This is clearly not what we thought this was.

- So is this ghosts or is this something else?

- Whatever the fuck this is,

I think we need to get outta here.

You guys get the van.

- Absolutely. - I'll stay

and start collecting people.

Can you get your sister, Shelly?

Make sure she's all right.

Father, just anybody else

that's in the house back this direction.

We need to get them going this way right now, okay?

- We're gonna get the van started.

You get everybody, okay?

Yeah, we'll see you.

- [Will] Come on, we gotta grab our stuff, let's go.

(door thumping)

(static crackling)

- Shit, shit, shit!

Will, we can't get the van to start, okay?

I'm gonna call 911.

Just get everybody outside or something, I don't know.

Okay, look, we've got paramedics on the way

so just hang tight.

When's the backup getting here?

- [Officer] Back up.
