Jane?
Hi. Hi.
I'm Dr. Bishop.
Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.
Please come in.
So,
I, uh... I know you're transferring from your
previous therapist, Dr.
Hill.
But I would like to hear in your own words why you are in therapy in the
first place.
Well, I have a phobia.
A sex phobia.
I'm scared of sexual encounters.
That's completely rational.
People have phobias.
I believe that we can get to the root of the problem as long as we are open to
talking about it.
From you, I would like to know what caused
this fear?
Well, I guess it started off when I first lost my virginity.
I was about 18 years old.
It was definitely a long
time ago, but I still have these replaying
emotions. So something very traumatic.
Yeah. Yeah.
Okay. Well, if you'd like, I can schedule them.
weekly sessions for you, whatever day you think works best.
I have my laptop over here.
While I'm at it, what caused this fear? What
happened?
Well, it was at a party.
Um, that my college party.
Um, my brother threw this party to celebrate.
Something with your brother?
Yeah. And the sexual act happened with him?
Um, no.
Okay. Um, so explain more.
About what happened that night.
So I went upstairs after I'd been drinking.
I went upstairs to touch up my face.
And some guy, I'm not going to
say who, entered.
my room as i was touching up my face and um
he came behind me
and like i said i was a little drunk
did he scare you um at first yes at
first um
No.
Can you maybe close your eyes for a second?
Think back where he touched you, how it felt.
He touched me in the back, my neck.
And I was feeling
confused and somewhat aroused
and at the same time just... It's okay.
I'm here for you.
It was just something that happened
out of the blue and I don't really...
I don't remember if it was good.
I just remember that at the time
I did it because I felt like I had to.
Well, I think that
There are a lot of ways to combat these type of thoughts that we have.
Fear.
And especially when it comes to this specific issue.
Not all people are like that.
Not everyone will take advantage of you.
There are good people out here.
I, for one, want to help you.
Given the traumatic incident.
that cause this phobia, there are a few things that we
can do.
So I believe that your particular case calls for something more serious than
the standard approach.
It's called exposure therapy.
Have you ever heard about that?
Exposure therapy is a bit unorthodox, but I believe it's something that could
definitely help you.
What we typically tend to do is expose said patient to what they fear the most,
demystifying this fear and thus removing it as a fear in the first place.
Your fear stemming from sex.
I believe that the only way to overcome this fear would be to engage in sexual
activity again.
But I don't have, like, a boyfriend or somebody to do that with.
Well, I think it would be right to engage in these sexual activities with
me.
Me being your therapist, I believe that I would be properly suited to administer
this therapy.
What?
Can you repeat that again?
I think it would be best for you if we had sex.
Me and you have sex?
Yes.
No, no, no. This is not what I signed up for. I'm sorry. I have to go. Sorry.
Jane.
This is not what I signed up for. I told you I don't like sex. I don't want to
have sex with you. I've had hundreds and hundreds of cases.
Hundreds of people that have come through the store that have had fears
and hundreds of people that have left and I keep in contact with these people
They are still afraid they still have problems You will leave this
office trying to fix your problems on your own thinking that this wouldn't
help and you will be afraid you will die alone with no one by your side
and to me
As a therapist, for any of my patients, that's my greatest fear.
I don't want that to be the case.
I have to go. I'm sorry.
Don't you want to be happy?
Of course I want to be happy.
This is the only way that we can overcome this.
This is something that you have to make the decision.
But I'm telling you.
This is the only thing that'll work.
The ball is in your court.
And you think that doing this will make it go away?
I do.
I've been in this profession for 15 years.
I know what I'm talking about.
So how can you help me out?
Well... Stand up.
And... Stand here.
Now... In any sexual encounter... We
need to remove our clothes and...
Thus doing so, we are aroused and turned on by the other person.
Could you please remove your jacket?
You're very beautiful.
And that top and skirt, please
remove that as well.
You are incredibly beautiful.
I can see how someone could take advantage of you.
Please, remove the underwear on your shoes.
Can you turn for me?
You have a beautiful body.
Thank you.
Please.
Can you lay down on the desk for me?
I'll play with the rest.
This isn't anything beautiful.
There's nothing to be afraid of.
I'm not going to hurt you.
I just want to make you feel good.
Try to put it in your mouth.
That's good.
That's good.
Try to go deeper.
Make sure to play with my balls.
Yes, just like that.
Men like it when you do that.
You'll be able to find a partner who would enjoy sex just as much as you do.
You don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable, right? You don't feel
uncomfortable, do you?
No.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm going to try something cold.
Deep-throating.
Have you ever heard of that?
Try to open up the back of your throat as much as possible.
Try to take it with me.
It's very good.
Yes,
have fun with it.
Have fun with it.
Get it nice and wet.
We gotta get it wet for you, pussy.
Stroke it while you do that.
Yes, that feels good.
I don't want you to think for any reason that I'm trying to take advantage of
you.
This is strictly to help you through your fear.
A bit of pain?
Like slapping?
That's something that you think you can enjoy?
I think so.
Yeah?
so good.
It makes me so fucking turned on.
And when I'm turned on, that means your sexual partner is turned on as well.
And then you will be as well. There's nothing to be afraid of. You just enjoy
yourself.
Everyone loves you.
There's nothing to be afraid of.
Do it so fucking good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, open your mouth. Open your mouth. Stick your tongue.
Put it back in your mouth.
Put it back in.
so good.
session of exposure therapy.
How do you feel?
I feel good.
As you should.
So if you want to get yourself cleaned up, get your stuff together, my
receptionist will give you the bill and I'll see you here next Wednesday.
The bill?
