=Dragon King's Decree=

=Episode 23=

(Dragon King's Decree)

This is incredibly precious.

Why give it to me?

My mother stole Miss Yue's identity.

Everything we had was never ours to begin with.

You're her daughter.

You have every right to see it.

This isn't the real decree.

It's only a record about it.

It describes the old days,

when Wujing's ancestors fought dragons

and even married them.

As for why dragons married women of the Wujing Saintess' bloodline,

and the decree's secrets...

Maybe the answers are in here.

(Storm and thunder, )

(master of all.)

(Swimming like a fish, )

(flying like a bird.)

(Walking the earth the way we do.)

(Dragons rule all beasts.)

(The pinnacle of all creatures.)

(A god among them.)

(The Dragon King leads the sanctuary.)

(Wujing of the mortal realm)

(and beasts of other realms bow to him.)

(The Wujing Saintess)

(is born blessed)

(and sees what others miss.)

(When demons invade the mortal realm, )

(she dons a battle robe and gold armor.)

(With a crown and jade belt, )

(and the Icebound Sword in hand, )

(she rides dragons)

(and fights demons.)

(She is fearless.)

(She forged a blood pact with dragons.)

(That's why her bloodline is so strong.)

(If a dragon marries a woman of the Wujing Saintess' bloodline, )

(their child is half-dragon.)

(They're born powerful)

(and are fiercely protective.)

(A clear sign of pregnancy)

(is a red dragon mark)

(right below the belly button.)

Miss,

it says here

that dragon eggs take three years and six months.

So when it's born,

will it be a dragon or a human?

No clue.

It doesn't say.

Young Master still doesn't know about the child.

Hunbao,

you can't tell anyone.

Why not?

Miss,

think about it.

You are the real Wujing Saintess.

Liluo stole everything from you!

And now you're carrying a dragon child.

Everyone will believe you now.

You can take back what's yours!

You're always with Fei Yuan. You pick up nothing good from him.

But you sure copied

his boldness.

No, I didn't!

It's just that Liluo's mess

means you and Young Master can't be together.

You've been spacing out a lot lately.

Even I'm getting worried.

You little fool.

I live on the edge every single day.

I can't let this get out.

If the baby

becomes my weakness,

they'd tear me apart.

I didn't think it through.

Honestly, the moment I saw my mother,

I knew I was the Wujing Saintess.

But people always say

that the Wujing Saintess marrying a dragon

will repair the broken barrier

around the sanctuary.

So why is it

that Chu Moshang and I

are basically already married in our hearts,

yet the barrier

is still falling apart?

Maybe this book got it wrong?

Maybe

there's another meaning behind it.

We need to find the Young Lord

and talk this through.

Now that Mother and I have reunited,

we need to get her

out of Wujing City fast

before Liluo and Li Yue notice.

Alright.

Feng Zhilou,

you were really hard to track down.

What do you want?

Miss Zhilou,

you're so invested in dragon affairs.

Why not ask me directly?

What good is that dusty book?

No book can beat

an actual dragon's answer,

right?

Anyway,

you're my brother's wife.

No need to act distant.

Here's a small gift.

Take it.

I don't want anything from you.

How's Chu Moshang?

For us dragons,

the highest rank is Dragon King.

Every dragon heir grows up

working toward that goal.

My brother got lucky.

As the eldest, he became the successor.

But now,

Liluo has the Wujing Saintess' bloodline,

which is required to be Dragon King.

But with you showing up,

my brother got dragged down

and wiped out at Feng Manor.

Nice job.

You two are brothers,

but totally different.

He's nothing like you.

You're always blaming others

for your own failures.

Feng Zhilou,

keep talking big.

You're not far from dying anyway.

Oh, yeah.

Dragons

have plenty of scales to spare.

Don't waste my brother's kindness.

Miss,

this carries Young Master's scent.

It's his dragon scale!

Miss!

Miss,

are you alright?

Chu Moshang's in trouble.

We need to go.

Hunbao,

you know what to do if things go bad, right?

Of course I protect you.

Listen to me.

(Dongming) Take this. Go find Li Yan.

He'll keep you safe.

And keep Mother safe

in Wujing City.

Miss,

what about you?

I can take care of myself.

But if I take you,

they'll use you against me.

You and Mother both

matter most to me.

Feng Zhilou.

Miss!

Go!

Of course it's you again.

This time,

where do you think you're running?

Move.

Didn't you learn anything last time?

Without the prince backing you,

what are you?

How dare you yell at me!

I may be nothing,

but you're still trash.

Today,

you die here in Wujing!

You can absorb energy?

What?

How else do you think I hold my ground here?

Stop putting on an act.

Let's see how long you last!

(My baby's protecting me.)

How do you have the Fire Phoenix flame?

Only a War God Constitution

can wield that!

Who says I'm not one?

(Dongming Hall)

Xiaoyu,

do you know?

If I tell everyone the truth

at the ceremony,

I'm done for too.

I was never meant to be Young Lord.

I'm just too soft.

I should've stopped Mother and Liluo sooner.

Then you wouldn't have died.

(You did good.)

(If you hadn't been holding Wujing together, )

(with City Lord and Princess Liluo wasting everything, )

(Wujing)

(would've fallen apart long ago.)

Li Yan!

Hunbao,

why are you here?

Please help Zhilou!

Liluo sent Dark Dhuta after her!

Hurry!

Even your clothes don't want to go down with you.

Talk about bad luck.

Chu Moshang,

why are you back?

What happened to you?

I sensed you two

were in danger.

Sorry I got here late.

Moshang,

how are you this easy to fool?

See?

When things were fine, why make yourself vulnerable?

You even lost the dragon pearl.

And you still broke the barrier to come out?

Bet that hurt like hell.

What did you do to him?

What did we do?

He burned all his Dragon God power just to see you.

Right now,

he's a useless dragon.

So tell me.

Who do you think ruined him?

We need to go to Canglong Pavilion. I've got no pearl and no power.

We can't beat Nie Rongzhi.

With Dark Dhuta's strength,

Feng Zhilou should be dead or close to it.

What's going on?

Don't bother looking.

Your attendant

is already dust.

Where's Feng Zhilou?

Her?

She ran off with Moshang.

Wasn't your brother locked up?

My brother

actually broke through the barrier

like a madman to save her.

Ridiculous.

Go tell His Majesty

I said

if the prince doesn't show at the wedding,

whoever does show up

will

be the next Dragon King.

The higher the hope,

the harder the fall.

My brother ditched you.

Now you know who to pick, right?

Chu Moshang and Feng Zhilou aren't dead.

Why panic?

Relax.

I'll find them.

I'll bring gifts when I see you.

By then,

don't disappoint me.

You just can't stand seeing your sister suffer.

And you don't want to lose your title.

Let me go bite Liluo to death!

That'd solve everything!

Hunbao,

if you kill Liluo, you're killing the Wujing Saintess too.

Even if she's fake,

the Dragon King won't spare you.

Even if we explain about Liluo and Mother,

they'll just think

we're covering for Feng Zhilou

and the prince.

The Wujing Saintess?

What is she really?

Would demons from the nether realm

really fear someone

as selfish as Liluo?

Exactly, Hunbao.

Feng Zhilou is the real Wujing Saintess.

So her marrying the Dragon...

What does that even mean?

If even humans and dragons

can't figure it out,

why ask a snake?

Hey.

Hey!

Hey!

Hey!

I'm a snake.

If I bite you, you're as good as poisoned.

I was born toxic.

You can't blame me for that.

Xiaoyu,

get out here and save him!

(Dongming Hall)

Xiaoyu,

is it really you?

She barely made it.

If Zhilou wasn't so skilled,

she wouldn't have been saved.

We faked her death so she could escape Wujing City Lord

and Liluo's control.

You're lucky it worked out this well.

Zhilou planned everything.

I have no idea how she's doing now.

How are they supposed to return in three days?

Without your dragon pearl,

aren't you completely defenseless?

Relax.

I'll ask Father

for it back.

But you gave up

the Dragon King throne.

Won't you regret that?

I never wanted the throne.

Right now,

I already

have something I never dreamed I'd have.

I totally forgot

dragons don't eat human food.

We live off spirit.

Thinking back,

ever since we slept together,

you stopped wanting food.

I thought it was

just my bad mood,

so I lost my appetite.

The Dragon King's Decree says once you're pregnant with a dragon child,

it feeds off your energy

until it's born.

Chu Moshang,

tell me.

With me like this,

will I only get

three and a half years with you?

Pregnancy isn't just your burden.

I'll give you spirit.

But

this sanctuary's barrier

won't last long.

Nie Rongzhi could break it at any time.

If he does, we both die.

Then what do we do?

Remember this.

Hold on to this.

Go back home.

Protect yourself and the baby.

Don't worry.

I'll find you.

(Shang,)

(the barrier won't protect you for long.)

(Without the dragon pearl, you're useless.)

(Be smart and come out.)

(If I tear this place apart,)

(neither of you will survive!)

When I count to three,

I'll make my move.

Three...
