=Episode 19=

Drink this tonic to recover.

Liluo,

is the sanctuary going to give you the Wujing Saintess' battle robe

to welcome you to the sanctuary?

You're finally going to be free.

I've had enough.

Feng Zhilou ruined everything today.

So what if I'm the Wujing Saintess now?

Prince Shang called off our engagement

for the sake of that wretch.

How could that be?

What good is playing

the dutiful daughter with you every day?

Liluo,

I know you resent me.

But I'm your mother.

I've given you everything I could.

Shut up.

I'm not your daughter.

I'm the princess of Wujing City.

Liluo,

why do you speak such nonsense?

Why would you say such things?

What are you standing there for?

Mother.

Mother.

I've come to rescue you, Mother.

My good daughter.

Don't worry.

I'm fine.

Don't be sad.

It's okay even if you don't marry a Dragon.

As long as you're free,

you can do whatever you want.

Mother,

I'm Feng Zhilou.

I'm not Liluo.

I'm your daughter.

I'm Feng Zhilou.

Feng Zhilou?

Mother.

You're the one

who seduced Prince Shang?

No.

Mother,

I'm Feng Zhilou.

I'm your real daughter.

Liluo is not your daughter.

Do you remember me?

I'm Feng Zhilou,

Mother.

Stop talking.

You're the reason Liluo was rejected.

The reason she won't forgive me.

Why have you come to me now?

Where is Liluo?

What have you done to her?

Mother,

listen to me.

I came from Feng Manor.

My father's name is Feng Qingfeng.

I've had no spiritual root since I was young.

My father told me

you left Feng Manor 18 years ago.

After you came to Wujing City,

there was no news of you.

But I have your portrait.

You left us a portrait.

A portrait?

How could you have my portrait?

No way.

I don't believe it.

You're lying to me.

Leave.

I don't believe you.

Leave.

Go away.

I really am your daughter,

Mother.

Someone, help.

Someone, help!

Li Yue.

Mother.

I want to see Li Yue!

Someone, help!

Mother, listen to me.

I want to see Li Yue!

They're all deceiving you, Mother.

She promised me

that she would bring my daughter here...

Mother.

and raise her like a princess.

I've always stayed in Feng Manor, Mother.

She wouldn't dare lie to me.

Mother.

She swore to heaven.

Mother.

I don't believe it.

How could this be possible?

How could this be possible?

You're lying to me. You must be lying.

No.

No.

Something's wrong.

Everything's wrong. Someone, help.

Li Yue.

Li Yue!

Mother.

Li Yue!

I've found my mother.

Li Yue and Liluo locked her

in the dungeon,

kept her in total darkness,

and tortured her until she's barely human.

How can I possibly save her?

When I went to see her,

I was so close to her.

I'm her real daughter.

But she just doesn't recognize me.

Zhilou,

I've explained Li Yue's

false identity to the sanctuary.

But she has been in Wujing City

for 18 years as the city lord.

Liluo's saintess bloodline has also been verified.

The sanctuary doesn't believe my words.

So no one cares

what the true Wujing Saintess

looks like.

Just as long as someone

plays the role.

Plays the role?

You're right.

Since it's all a performance,

we might as well play along with them.

Greetings, Young Lord.

Is the one locked in here

my mother and sister's blood vessel?

Never mind.

I'm taking her away today.

Step aside.

Young Lord,

if you take her away,

you're taking my life.

Am I the one taking your life,

or is it Princess Liluo?

I didn't know that Wujing City

is ruled by Princess Liluo alone.

Have the apothecary collect his body.

Don't let him be an eyesore here.

You may inform your master

that I've slain a guard.

Yes, Young Lord.

What do you want now?

I've given you all I could.

My eyes,

my freedom,

my flesh and blood,

all to you.

Can you return my daughter to me?

Miss Yue,

I'm Li Yan.

You once showed me this world.

I'm sorry.

I never knew

my world came at a price like this.

Yan,

soon, you will see the light again.

As long as you and Liluo are with me,

I don't mind being blind.

Come with me.

This is the one who will heal your eyes.

Really?

I will be able to see everything they say?

Thank you so much.

Child,

if you can see,

promise me

you will treat all you see with kindness.

What is your name?

You can call me Miss Yue.

Miss Yue.

I promise you,

once I can see, I will come visit you.

This is...

This is my eye.

My eyes were given to a boy.

He promised me

he would treat everything he sees kindly.

I've been trying my best.

Miss Yue, please believe me.

Li Yue is my mother.

Liluo is my younger sister.

They deceived you.

Feng Zhilou is your daughter.

You mean to say

Liluo is not my real daughter?

My real daughter

is Feng Zhilou from Feng Manor?

Mother.

I'm Feng Zhilou.

I truly am your daughter.

Zhilou.

Are you really my daughter?

Zhilou.

How have you been all these years?

I am sorry.

We should leave now.

Are you sure?

Sure.

The Young Lord killed the guard

to bring Feng Zhilou into the dungeon.

That dungeon will be Feng Zhilou's final resting place.

Stop right there.

What's this?

So this is Li Yan's

lousy scare tactic to warn others?

What a bother!

No discernment at all.

Must you show me this dead body?

You're always bowing your head.

No wonder the apothecary assigned such tasks to you.

Get lost!

Feng Zhilou,

you can't run this time.

Sir,

I came here with the Young Lord

without any intention of running away.

Remember,

this is Wujing City.

So what if you have nine spiritual roots

and are a martial expert?

If you dare resist,

your family will suffer.

I know my place.

The nobles of Wujing City can ruin people

with a single word.

What chance

do I, a nobody, have?

Good thing you know that.

Even if you take Yue away,

you can't escape Wujing City with a loser

with no martial cultivation.

Where is she?

Where is she?

Feng Zhilou,

how dare you help a prisoner escape?

Guards!

Seize her now!

Wait.

Who allowed you to arrest her in my presence?

Liluo, tell me.

Who did Miss Zhilou help escape

that you need to make such a commotion?

Li Yan,

you traitorous wretch.

Don't play dumb with me.

Even if you're the Wujing Saintess,

I'm the Young Lord of Wujing City

and your brother.

Who allowed you to act out here?

You...

Besides,

you might not even marry a Dragon.

Did you just slap me?

If you were not my sister,

I would have done the same long ago.

And you lot,

who are you pointing your blades at?

We have no intention to offend you.

We only came to arrest Feng Zhilou.

May I ask, sir,

what is the reason?

Miss Zhilou,

what are you doing in this dungeon?

This place holds the most dangerous criminals.

Do you intend

to break someone out?

I'm standing right here.

Have I broken anyone out?

Sir,

I'm here to see someone.

That's quite a surprise.

Who could be important enough for you

to beg our Young Lord to come and see them?

Am I not important enough for that?

Your Highness,

what brings you to the dungeon?

When have we Dragons

ever needed to report to you?

I'm the true Wujing Saintess.

I'm the future Dragon Queen.

Chu Moshang,

how can you do this to me again and again?

Dragon Queen?

Only in your dreams.

Now, move.
