=Recruit A General to lead the Troops=

=Episode 11=

General Li, I entered Qingfeng Stronghold only to deliver a message.

I've never done anything else.

You have no proof

accusing me of forging evidence against the Leader.

Is this inappropriate?

I'm only speculating,

not certain.

Look how flustered you are.

Of course, you're the best at bookkeeping.

I can keep accounts,

but I can't alter the records.

You can check.

No need, I trust you.

You wouldn't wade into this mess.

Then do you know

about this arrow?

How come

he's giving hairpins to someone else?

I don't know.

Think it over carefully.

I've never seen it.

(Minister Li,)

(today, General Li came to Qingfeng Stronghold to investigate.)

(He suspected treason,)

(but it was confirmed to be a false accusation against Chen Xinrou.)

(Hereby notified.)

(Qian's Winery)

(Tavern) Qian.

Young Master Li.

Where's Li Aotian?

Who?

Oh,

that new steward you hired.

Where is he?

He left after two days,

said something about family matters, so I let him go.

What's wrong, Young Master Li?

Did he mess something up?

I can immediately get someone else to handle it.

No need.

No need.

Where are you rushing off to?

Hahaha, Young Master Li,

this is all thanks to you.

You set up this Qingfeng Group,

and now my reputation in the county has skyrocketed.

When the county magistrate heard business was booming lately,

he decided to host a banquet,

inviting all of us shopkeepers to join.

Hahaha, oh my,

it's getting late,

I should be going.

Young Master Li,

why don't you come with me?

Think about it,

you're out alone, and it's not convenient to reveal your identity.

If you come with me,

I can introduce you to the magistrate,

so it'll be easier

to handle matters in the future.

Right?

Let's go then.

(County Office)

Please, come in.

Mr. Qian, you arrived early.

Have a seat, Mr. Qian.

Mr. Zhang.

I don't know what's up with my Akhal-Teke horse,

it's moving unusually slow today.

Could it be because it's from the Western Regions?

A precious horse like that can't handle city roads, I guess.

No idea what's wrong.

My wrist has been aching lately,

I should see the doctor

once I get home.

If I had known it'd be this kind of crowd,

I wouldn't have come at all.

- Your Excellency! - Your Excellency!

Your Excellency!

Mr. Qian.

Your Excellency, I am Li...

Did you bring your servant?

No, this...

Mr. Qian,

you really treat your servant well.

By our rules,

a servant

shouldn't attend a banquet with their master.

No.

You don't know, this is Young Master Li, Li Chengyu.

Today's banquet

is to celebrate the court's elimination of my greatest trouble,

Shihou Stronghold.

Also, thanks for supporting our county business.

Your contributions are truly appreciated.

Especially you three,

you are the pillars of this county.

I will continue to rely on you in the future.

Ah, understood.

Your Excellency.

Here,

I offer a toast to you all.

Good.

Thank you, Your Excellency.

A toast to you all.

Everyone, please sit.

Ah, right.

On this trip north,

I managed to acquire some rare treasures.

I'd like to present them for your enjoyment.

Ah, um...

Please don't mind them.

Here.

Your Excellency,

this is for you.

Oh!

This is yours.

Thank you.

Mr. Qian.

Good.

Thank you.

I didn't expect

Mr. Li to also be here today.

Ah, this...

Nothing left.

Really, my apologies.

No problem.

Mr. Zhang, your trip north...

Your Excellency, this crispy duck is truly delicious.

Here, cheers!

Your Excellency,

have a drink.

(After all, my identity must not be revealed easily.)

(Maybe keeping the magistrate will be useful later.)

Drink.

Eat.

Not bad.

Come, drink.

Your Excellency,

all of you shopkeepers,

I am Li Chengyu,

newly arrived,

and unfamiliar with the rules.

I hope you will kindly look after me.

I first offer a toast.

Come, Mr. Zhang.

Here.

Come.

Mr. Zhang.

Your Excellency,

all you shopkeepers,

I, Li Chengyu, newly arrived,

do not understand the rules.

I ask for your guidance in the future.

I offer another toast.

This crispy duck is quite good.

Delicious.

Bring three more.

Your Excellency,

I offer you another toast.

Your Excellency.

Li Chengyu,

what are you trying to do?

So you're not deaf, huh?

Coming from the countryside,

unfamiliar with rules,

you dare to cause a scene at the magistrate's banquet?

Do you not wish to live?

Young Master Li, you...

Capture him for me!

Your Excellency, he can't be arrested!

Young master Li

actually knows high-ranking officials from the capital.

Who cares who he is?

Seize him!

Your Excellency.

Are you alright?

Who is this brat?

So audacious.

He is the husband of Chen Xinrou, the leader of Qingfeng Stronghold.

A live-in husband, right?

Daring to act wildly in front of me!

I won't let him off.

(Qian's Winery)

Mr. Qian.

Keep this safe.

You must never mention

that I took your goods.

Mr. Qian, why in the past few days

has no one been ordering from Qingfeng Stronghold?

Because of General Li...

Young Master Li.

He offended the magistrate,

and so the order came down,

no shopkeepers may buy goods from Qingfeng Group anymore.

You know they are officials.

I'm just a merchant. If blame falls on me,

I can't even protect myself.

Please bear with me.

Please, bear with me.

Chengyu, Xinrou isn't happy either lately.

She hasn't gone out at all.

It seems the Qingfeng Group is also in trouble.

No one dares place orders for our goods.

What do you think we should do?

Boss, the chief constable and a few officers have barged in.

The magistrate ordered a search of the mountain.

Remove everything from Shihou Stronghold.

No outsiders are allowed in.

Stop the music.

What's this? Your land? Just searching?

This is Qingfeng Stronghold's land.

Searching here now is breaking into private property.

Do you know the law?

Obstructing official duties.

Be careful, or I'll throw you in jail.

Do you have the guts for that?

I am the only chief constable in this city.

Tiger!

Beat him up!

Think carefully, I am the only chief constable in the city.

Ah ha!

What should we do?

They're coming to give us trouble too.

You and Xinrou aren't handling anything.

At this rate,

how can our business survive?

Alright.

I'll think of a plan.

Selling buns!

(Qingfeng Bobo Shop) Look at our big meat buns!

Why me?

Hey.

Don't you want to help your Qingfeng Stronghold sisters?

Be good.

I want to.

Have you memorized your lines?

Good.

Hey everyone, don't miss this.

Take a look over here.

Check it out.

Don't miss it!

Welcome everyone to Qingfeng Bobo Shop!

Qingfeng Bobo Shop.

Today,

everyone is here at last.

Qingfeng brand Osmanthus Fine Wine,

(Hahaha, has everyone seen this?) recognize it, Qingfeng brand sale!

Usually, if you buy one jar of this wine,

it costs 20 taels of silver.

That's right, today,

no middlemen,

no resale markup,

just come to Qingfeng Bobo Shop,

and it's only 19 taels.

How much?

Too expensive!

Too expensive, 19 taels!

Nineteen taels? I don't even want to buy it.

It's only one tael cheaper than usual.

Then...

What do you suggest we do?

You let everyone decide.

Nineteen taels is still expensive,

make it nine taels and nine.

Nine taels and nine? Why don't you rush to grab it?

Exactly.

Forget it.

First, let everyone see the quality of our wine.

Exactly.

Smells wonderful.

Sweet and refreshing.

So satisfying!

I won't allow

no one's ever tasted such good wine!

Exactly, come on.

Today, I'm drinking from the smallest jar.

Today, all jars, big or small, are only

nine taels and nine.

What? Not possible?

No, stop messing around!

Ignore me, today this jar sells for nine taels and nine.

At worst, I'll quit tomorrow.

Everyone, it's time to race for your jars!

Today, everything is nine taels and nine.

Come on, everyone, three, two, one, go!

- Grab it! - No!

- Don't come over! - Hurry and grab! I'll block her.

Come on!

Don't rush.

Don't panic.

Take it easy.

Who stepped on my shoe?

I haven't grabbed mine yet.

Exactly! Is there any wine left?

How can they do business with this little stock?

Everyone, haha!

I didn't expect such enthusiasm.

I only prepared this much at first,

but seeing everyone so enthusiastic,

I'll bring out another batch.

Hey, Li,

this time we really can't sell for nine taels and nine.

We'd be losing out.

Hey, no raising prices.

If you dare raise it,

I'll report you to the county office.

Everyone,

calm down.

Seeing everyone so enthusiastic,

we'll still sell for nine taels and nine.

At worst, I'll quit tomorrow.

No!

What should we do?

Don't grab it.

Don't grab it!

Everyone, don't grab it!

Don't grab it.

Boss, your plan works!

Keep an eye here.

I'm going to get some water.

I need to pee too.

I said it.

I don't know anything about account book.

Liu Pitang!

I entrusted you with the important task of forging weapons,

yet you can't even handle a small Qingfeng Stronghold.

Now you've put yourself in this situation.

You almost ruined my big plan.

Please spare me, Sir!

I know I was wrong.

I beg you.

Give me one more chance.

One more chance.

I'll give you the last chance.

Thank you.

Thank you, Mysterious Sir.

Thank you, mysterious sir.

(County Office)

Your Excellency.

Li Chengyu's business is getting better and better.

What do you think about this?

What?

Go and take down his stall for me.

- Go now! - Yes, I'll go right away.
