(Auction House)

(The Auction)

Friend.

May I ask

what will be auctioned today

as there are so many people?

I heard of something rare and precious

named...a kind of flower.

Blood night-blooming cereus

Right, that's it.

I come to the right place.

Two rows of people beside here

seem to be the officials.

Governor Ye is in charge of

the security of the auction.

The security reaches top level.

No more talks.

It's last day for the sign-up.

I am in a hurry for it.

- Alright. - I am leaving now.

Thanks...

Listen,

the officials never interfere with the world.

Yet this Governor Ye

is in charge of the security.

It means the auction won't be peaceful.

It doesn't matter.

Let's sign up.

Come on.

Let's go...

(Qinghui House)

We live here tonight?

You don't like it?

No.

I like it.

But for a house with such a big yard,

how much does it cost?

Free.

Free?

You regard it as your home?

Childe Murong.

Please check it out.

(The Contract)

The house belongs to you from now on.

Then I'll just leave.

I am leaving now.

Now it's free.

Murong Chen,

you bought this place?

Yes.

Why?

How much is it? You are wasting money.

Well, well. Murong Chen.

How about it?

This is much better than Egret Villa.

Of course.

So ostentatious.

Then don't touch.

I was short of money in the world before.

Now that we are here in Cang Yun Kingdom,

I should provide you with the best.

From now on, I will pay all expenses of everyone,

except for Song Che.

I...

Right, you shall keep

the auction ticket properly.

It's for You.

Auction ticket?

It's for Chang Kong.

Keep it properly.

Or you can't attend the auction.

Well,

when I was signing up,

I heard that the security is tight.

And there is a body check.

Body check?

Why?

It is about the blood night-blooming cereus.

They fear that someone may attend the auction in disguise.

In disguise?

Well.

Zhe Xiang, Xiao Ai,

how about we go for a walk

after the dinner?

It is so boring.

I want to stay here.

Stand up.

Who ask you to sit?

This is mine.

Hui County is a small place,

but there are a lot of

interesting places and delicious food.

Here's for you.

So generous.

That's my pleasure.

This is the power of money.

So cocky!

Come on, I'll show you around.

(Clothing Store)

Look at this one.

Zhe Xiang.

You can choose one suit.

No, thanks.

Enjoy yourselves.

I am fine with this one.

No way.

I think this one suits you.

Follow me.

So beautiful.

Not bad.

Zhe Xiang,

you look terrific.

I picked this suit for her.

But I don't find it fit.

It fits.

It fits very well.

We want this one.

Yes.

But I find it a little strange.

You always dress like a heroine.

This one fits you.

Look at yourself.

It's perfect.

Yes, lady.

You look great in this suit.

You are elegant,

charming,

and delicate,

with the golden ratio.

No one looks better

than you in this suit.

The owner is so good at compliments,

though it's true.

But if I am in this,

how can I fight?

Zhe Xiang,

how come you think of fighting every day?

Tomorrow we will attend an auction,

instead of a competition in martial arts skills.

You're right.

Check out, please.

Here is for you.

- Let's go. - Wait.

Well, I'm in a hurry. I am leaving now.

Are you still mad about the matter of this morning?

Are you...?

You remember me.

You mentioned it.

I know,

it was Fei'er's fault.

She offended you,

and you should be angry.

How about

I invite you to dinner?

And I apologize to you on behalf of her.

Well, we have to refuse.

We are busy.

We will leave now.

Wait, please.

Ladies.

Ladies, wait.

Come on, let's go.

Ladies, wait.

- Song Che. - Mengmeng.

- Why are you here? - To pick you up.

Great.

What's wrong?

Sand in your eye?

What sand?

A weirdo is following us.

Hello.

What do you want?

What do I want?

Kill you!

Song Che.

Well,

are you

amazed by the beauty of Zhe Xiang?

Mengmeng.

What...

what are you talking about?

As you dress like this,

you can't even fight.

Zhe Xiang!

What is wrong with you?

Dumbhead!

What's wrong with me?

I got it.

The boys in their puberty

don't speak the truth.

They just piss the girls they like off.

No, I am not.

Mengmeng,

trust me.

I swear to God,

I love Mengmeng only.

Really?

Men!

Let's go.

Mengmeng,

listen to me.

I...

I can't...

Xiao Ai, Xiao Ai,

you believe me.

You stay outside all day.

I asked you to wash the clothes.

(Maid Wang) Look at the pile of clothes.

(Ye Ling’er) If the Mistress knows,

she will kill you alive.

Mistress! Mistress and I

have the same surname.

Why is she the Mistress,

while I am only a servant?

The Mistress comes from a noble family.

Who are you?

I have to punish you today,

or you don't know who you are at all.

Wash the clothes.

Just do it.

Quickly.

I'll do it.

- I'll do it. - Do it, quickly.

Poor girl.

Who are you?

How did you get in?

That is none of your business.

But don't be afraid.

I am here to help you.

Don't you want to get back

everything that has belonged to you?

Me?

(The Ticket) Row 14.

I am in the back,

and I barely see anything.

We signed up late.

It is lucky we can still have a seat.

8th Prince?

Is that 8th Prince?

Oh, no!

Will he take me back?

8th Prince, it's you.

Mengmeng.

Why are you here?

Why are you here?

You have disappeared for more than half a year.

Where have you been? You vanished without a trace.

Everyone misses you. Do you know?

I miss you, too.

Well,

after the auction completes,

let's come back to the palace together.

By the way, 8th Prince,

why are you here?

I come here on behalf of sister queen.

She received an invitation

for this auction.

But she is busy with work,

she can't leave the palace.

So here I am.

Sister queen wants blood night-blooming cereus as well?

Well,

you also want it?

I just check it out.

Check it out.

It's easy.

I will buy it.

Then I'll give it to you.

Really?

What about Sister Queen?

Dear sister,

I will get everything for you

as long as you want.

As for Sister Queen,

I'll just tell a lie.

Hooray!

5th Prince.

Song Che.

Your Highness.

Why are you here?

We...

You three...

8th Prince, we happened to meet each other.

Yes, that's it.

Well, 8th Prince,

let me introduce

a new friend

named Zhe Xiang.

Well, Mengmeng,

you stay here with me.

But there are many of us.

I reserved

all the VIP seats.

Sit wherever you want.

Thank you, 8th Prince.

Thanks.

- Thanks. - Take your seats.

Lu Feibai, why are you here?

Sang Luo, Xi Qing,

uncle,

Jin Hua and Yin Hua,

why are all of you here?

9th Princess,

we received the invitation as well.

- We are here to check it out. - Yes.

I am here to have a look

at the real blood night-blooming cereus.

He and I are here

to find a treatment for his eyes.

Sorry, Mengmeng,

I didn't know blood night-blooming cereus was fake before,

and I sent it to you.

It's alright. Just forget it.

It turns out

you sent her fake blood night-blooming cereus.

Who are you?

You were the Fox Man

who wanted to assassinate and rob me.

Rob?

Fox Man?

Not me.

It's a mistake.

It's you.

I...

Mengmeng.

Mengmeng, let's deal with him later.

Take your seat.

Just sit.

The auction starts now.

Yeah!

Here we have the seller and the item that is auctioned.

Yeah.

Let's welcome Mr. Xi.

Yeah.

This outfit.

Is it Mr. Xi?

(Mr. Xi)

Blood night-blooming cereus.

(The thing my master wants.)

Blood night-blooming cereus.

- It is the real cereus. - Mengmeng.

It seems you really like the cereus.

- The real cereus. - It's real.

Your eyes can be cured.

The auction begins.

Opening bid.

One hundred Liang.

One hundred and twenty Liang.

One hundred and fifty Liang.

One hundred and eighty Liang.

Two hundred Liang.

Two hundred and fifty Liang.

Three hundred Liang.

Five hundred Liang.

Murong Chen, are you insane?

Such a high bid!

Six hundred Liang.

Raise up.

Eight hundred Liang.

Are you playing against me?

For one more bid,

it is yours.

You...

Beat him up!

Go!

Beat him up!

I know you do it for me,

but the bid

is not worthy.

One thousand Liang.

8th Prince,

why do you...?

I said that

I would help you bid for the cereus.

- But... - One thousand and five hundred Liang.

- Murong Chen. - Two thousand Liang.

Why are you against each other?

Three thousand Liang.

I beg you two.

- Stop raising. - Three thousand and five hundred Liang.

Too expensive.

- Don't worry. - Don't worry.

- I am rich. - I am rich.

Five thousand Liang.

8th Prince.

Either of you can stop now.

- Why...? - Six...

Stop, please.

I know you are rich,

but have you ever thought

this cereus may be fake as well?

Be it real or fake,

it will never be auctioned. Don't worry.

Why?

Six thousand Liang.

What's up?

Six thousand Liang.

I can't afford six thousand Liang.

I dare to buy it.

Do you dare to sell it, Mr. Xi?

No.

I mean Lu Feibai.

Morong Chen,

that's nonsense.

Lu Feibai sits there.

Murong Chen, that's enough.

He is not Lu Feibai.

What's the matter?

Lu Feibai is the master of counterfeiting.

Everybody knows that

the cereus can be fake,

and so is the man.

That is to say

the real cereus and the fake one

are both made by him.

Mr. Xi,

please take off your veil.

Let's check out

if you are Lu Feibai or not?

- Yes. - Yes.

Yes, are you Lu Feibai or not?

Take it off.

Take it off.

Show yourself.

He is Lu Feibai!

He is Lu Feibai!

He is!

I want to know

how you recognized me.

A forty-year-old man

can't have delicate hands.

The forever young Xi Qing

can't even make it.

Twenty years have passed,

but Xi Qing keeps the same appearance.

Yet his hands are no longer delicate.

It's true.

The devil is in details.

However,

I have a question.

No one can find blood night-blooming cereus in the world.

How did he find it?

He didn't have to.

Do you remember

the story I told you at Egret Villa?

Cereus Villa?

As is known to all,

eleven years ago,

Cereus Villa was destroyed.

The master of Jing Yue Sect,

Yu Qingzhu took away blood night-blooming cereus.

After a year, it was stolen again.

Nowhere to find it.

There are numerous legends.

But one year ago,

blood night-blooming cereus appeared in the world.

That's when I bought the fake cereus.

- Me, too. - Me, too.

Yes, I got the cereus at the same time.

I'd say it was the same with us.

No more suspension.

What do you mean?

Lu Feibai bought the ruin of the Cereus Villa

and built the Egret Villa

one year ago.

If I am taking it right,

the blood night-blooming cereus everyone looks for in the world,

has been in the Cereus Villa

for ten years.

But Cereus Villa was destroyed.

There is no villa,

but the ruin remains.

I got it.

The most dangerous place is the safest.

When the blood night-blooming cereus was stolen,

it was buried

under the ruin of Cereus Villa.

As Cereus Villa was destroyed,

it was a haunted house,

and no one dared to go there.

Even the killer Yu Qingzhu,

won't go there.

Lu Feibai is a businessman,

who believes in no God or ghost.

He dared to buy it

and live in it.

When he rebuilt the villa,

he found the real blood night-blooming cereus.

But,

why did Lu Feibai counterfeit

when he got the real cereus?

I just said

he is a businessman.

Everyone in the world wants blood night-blooming cereus.

The cereus is useless to him,

except for...

selling it.

Yes,

he wanted to sell blood night-blooming cereus.

But blood night-blooming cereus

everyone wants in the world

can't be sold openly.

He might be assassinated.

So he set up a fraud.

With fake cereus in circulation,

battle in the underground

was exposed to the surface,

and

it lured all the potential buyers.

Damn.

You

tricked all of us.

What a fraud!

At the climax of the fraud,

he invited all the buyers

to attend this auction.

And he showed up in the disguise of Mr. Xi,

expecting to make a fortune

with the real blood night-blooming cereus.

If I didn't uncover the fraud,

after the auction completes,

Mr. Xi would disappear from the world,

but the businessman Lu Feibai would remain.

- That's it. - I got it.

Murong Chen,

you are as smart

as Holmes.

(Murong Chen.)

(I looked down on you before.)

Chang Kong,

your master is a genius.

Of course.

He is just normal.

I...

I am a genius as well.

Lu Feibai,

am I missing

something?

Your deduction is terrific

and flawless.

But I don't think

you could figure out everything

solely based on my hands?

Your hands surely don't tell everything.

But do you know

you made a huge mistake?

You shouldn't have lured us to Hui County.

Before the auction started,

when Jiang Mengmeng chatted with her friends,

I found that

all the buyers in VIP seats

were tricked by the fake blood night-blooming cereus.

However,

only Jiang Mengmeng and I were not invited.

I thought about

why Mr. Xi

didn't invite me and Jiang Mengmeng.

The answer can only be that

Jiang Mengmeng and I were already invited by him in person.

I didn't expect that

one missing step

unravelled the whole fraud.

The two roles you were playing

without a perfect performance

can be lethal

when missing any one step.

I give up.

However,

don't you have weak points in your performance,

pavilion owner?

Mengmeng,

last time you told me about

VIP

and monthly subscription.

I still have some questions.

Hopefully,

I can learn more from you.

Why does he mention it now?

The use value

of a product

depends on the buyer.

The seller cares only

about the price.

He is talking about...

The use value

of a product

depends on the buyer.

The seller cares only

about the price.

How much is your information?

(He is Zhao Qian.)

What?

Mengmeng.

What's the matter?

Song Che, come on.

Blood night-blooming cereus.

- Mengmeng. - The cereus disappeared.

- Blood night-blooming cereus. - Protect Mengmeng.

- Mengmeng. - Blood night-blooming cereus.

Let's go.

Your Highness,

how about sending someone from Tian Ji Pavilion

to search for Lu Feibai?

No need.

Lu Feibai didn't take blood night-blooming cereus.

He didn't?

But he disappeared with blood night-blooming cereus.

Lu Feibai is the most eager to sell

blood night-blooming cereus in the world.

How come he took away

blood night-blooming cereus in the end?

And,

he told me at the end of the auction that

he knew my true identity.

He has already known it!

He must have prepared for his death.

Then he...

The mantis stalks the cicada,

unaware of the oriole behind.

Now he must have been someone else's scapegoat.

That is to say,

blood night-blooming cereus belonged to someone else.

Then all our efforts turn out to be vain.

Not really.

Let me ask you,

when you visit someone,

you lost your stuff,

then who will you turn to?

The host, of course.

Now it's time to meet Governor Ye

(Ye Manor)

Mistress, you are back.

Why are you so happy?

Happy? I am really happy.

I'll take it.

Don't touch my stuff.

Sorry.

(Ye Manor)

Nothing here. What about you?

No, what about you?

No.

Let's go there and have a look.

Alright, let's go.

We are leaving.

Are you leaving?

We are here just to have a look.

Now that the cereus disappeared,

we have to leave.

All of us in Bai Hua Village

will always remember Your Highness.

Later,

if Your Highness needs our help,

feel free to find us.

Life is hard in the world.

Hope we can still meet.

Take care, 9th Princess.

Take care!

Come on.

You are leaving as well.

Xi Qing and I have already stayed away from the world.

This time I was lured by the cereus.

It seems we are not lucky enough.

I know one can never be too greedy.

Everything is fine for us now.

I promise you that

after we come back,

I will stay away from the world

with you.

We are leaving now.

Take care.

I envy them.

Alright,

I need to report to Sister Queen.

Mengmeng,

let's go back.

But...

Well,

you don't want to go back?

Do you still want to look for blood night-blooming cereus?

The cereus is that important to you?

It's not about the cereus,

actually...

I can't go back with you.

Well,

Mengmeng

is old enough

to have her own secrets.

Since you don't want to go back,

I won't force you.

What about Sister Queen?

I never met 9th Princess in Hui County.

My brother.

Dear sister,

do what you want.

I can't stay with you forever,

but I will support you.

To me,

nothing compares

to your happiness.

When you feel tired someday,

or if you miss your home,

I will be there waiting for you.

Thank you.

The world is dangerous.

Be more careful.

Take care of her.

Yes.

I am leaving now.

Childe Murong and Chang Kong.

I nearly forget about them.

Where are they?

I haven't seen them

after the auction completed.

Not good.

Murong Chen has no sense of directions.

What if he is lost?

Who is Jiang Mengmeng?

Childe Murong

wanted me to give you this.

Childe Murong.

Murong Chen.

(We have found the clue of cereus. Wait for us in the teahouse.)

Mengmeng,

what did he say?

He said Chang Kong and he have found the clue.

He asked us to wait for them in the teahouse.

Teahouse?

Why don't they come to find us?

Maybe they are in a hurry.

Let's get there.

Let's go.

(Teahouse)

Do Murong Chen and Chang Kong come here?

No, they don't.

Where are they two?

Right.

Coquette!

Come out!

You seduced my man.

Do you dare to come out?

I will kill you alive.

Come out.

What happened?

Is she the woman who rode the horse that day?

There is adultery!

What a coincidence!

Don't let her see me.

She is there.

I shouldn't have said that.

Coquette, you are here.

- Where? - Who?

I am speaking of you! You!

Me?

If it's not you, who else can it be?

You...

I'll shut her up.

It doesn't matter.

I am not afraid of her.

Listen to me.

The coquette, she

seduced my fiance.

Don't slander me!

I'll sue you.

Stop being cunning.

I am being cunning?

Come on,

I don't even know who is your fiance.

You won't admit it, right?

That day,

you got in my way,

and scared my horse.

You pretended to be pitiful

to seduce my An'an.

He begged forgiveness for you.

Then you started flirting with each other.

I was so stupid

that I didn't figure it out.

An'an?

Who is An'an?

The dumbhead?

He is your fiance?

Well, you remembered?

I do remember.

But you regarded this

as flirting?

Are you blind?

You still won't admit it?

Well,

how about the next time?

You dated each other when buying clothes.

My maid and the passersby all saw it.

I saw she flirted with Childe Sai

on the street.

The passersby had seen them.

They flirted on the street!

So you are the passersby.

You are the haters, right?

That day,

your fiance came to me.

He said he wanted to apologize on behalf of you.

He even invited us to dinner.

We left him behind.

- Stop lying. - Stop making the noise.

I am saying the truth.

Xiao Ai and Zhe Xiang can demonstrate the fact.

It's true.

Yes, it is.

He drove the man away.

What she said is true.

Your witnesses

are your friends.

They are partial.

Useless conversation.

Where is Murong Chen?

Well, let's go.

Well, are you afraid?

You want to leave?

I am afraid?

Whatever.

Let's go.

If you don't admit it,

- you can never leave. - Stay away from me.

Admit it!

- Let go of me. - Stay away from me.

- Let go of me. - Stay away from me.

Let go of me.

She is killed.
