This programme contains strong language
12 strangers trying to survive the jungle for two weeks.
What is Sarah doing?
Hostile terrain that they will have to cross on foot.
Argh! Ah!
God, this is crazy.
Reach the end, and they'll share a prize of £300,000.
THEY WHOOP AND CHEER
But between them and the money...
It's a Greggs!
...they'll face a series of temptations.
Home comforts they'll be longing for...
This is a Newcastle thing.
...and luxuries beyond their wildest dreams.
No way! Someone's won the lottery. Us or them.
Could be us!
But all of them come at the world's highest prices.
Two grand per person.
500 quid?!
They need to be laced with gold.
Welcome to capitalism. Supply and demand.
I love KFC. I'd have everything.
I know it looks so delicious, but for that price, it's not worth it.
And every penny they spend will come off the group's shared prize pot.
I just went in and just started buying stuff.
So if someone takes a temptation, everyone pays.
I've come out here with nothing.
If I go with nothing, I'm not losing anything.
That's why you don't care, because it's not your money.
In an extreme test of willpower and loyalty...
I want to eat!
...all they've got to do is say no.
I bet they don't.
I've never been offered this much money before.
It feels a bit criminal,
but it also feels amazing! Ha!
Can they conquer their own desires for the good of the group?
Do you not feel selfish?
You're sat there sucking on your chocolate in front of us.
Turn your back, Jennie, if you don't like it.
SHE SCOFFS Oh, my God.
Or will they live for today and look after number one?
That's a lot of money.
I just don't want to take away from anyone else, but I just...
That could change my life.
Previously on Tempting Fortune...
Sarah!
The two groups reunited
and the truth about their spending came out.
Greggs? Anything happen?
I did get given a steak bake off the medics.
Some people are lying.
Sam and Jack blew 700 quid on a pricey round of drinks.
£400 on a glass of wine? Argh!
Then, after a punishing trek through the mangroves...
Champneys Spa. Are you joking me?
...salvation appeared...
There's beds! ...at a luxury spa retreat.
Ooh, they've got sandwiches.
At first, everyone resisted.
I'm not gonna take it. But back at camp, cracks appeared.
If you took it... You take it.
Lady C, do you want to do the honours?
CORK POPS THEY WHOOP
This is just selfish. Greedy. Yeah, girlies!
It's supposed to be a team.
It's day four in the Malaysian jungle.
Let's just get the pop, baby.
CORK POPS I'm a pro.
And Charlotte, Cressida, Tierney and Jennie
have just splashed out £3,000 to stay at an overnight spa.
They can now indulge in all the luxury
they've been dreaming of since their journey began.
Now I feel like I'm on holiday, ladies.
Oh, Jen. Thank you. This is what I wanted.
To a girls' sleepover.
Plenty chat, and a pampered evening.
Oh, yeah, girlies. Oh, my God. With you.
Cheers, love.
The skincare, the shower, the bedsheets, the teddy bear.
Like, we all need this more than anything.
I would've felt horrendous if I wasn't coming tonight.
Especially after today. Being hot, sweaty, dirty.
It just makes you appreciate it even more.
And now we're having a girls' night and I'm so excited!
So, what are we choosing?
I'm gonna go full body.
I'm gonna do that as well, yeah.
I'm gonna have the facial. Yeah? Yeah.
This is definitely a bit of Lady C.
All the treats I love at home in one place.
I saw it and it just made me really homesick.
I need to have a shower, I need to feel clean.
I'm all wet and sticky and revolting.
Oh, my God.
Just a few metres away in camp, spirits aren't quite so high
for those who turned down a night of luxury.
Fucking joke, innit?
We came out of there, no-one would take it. And now they all are.
You get a lot, you get a lot. You do get a lot.
No. It feels like a lot because we're here.
But if you went somewhere, would you pay three grand
for one night to stay somewhere? Mental, innit?
You wouldn't for some sandwiches, I'll tell you that for free.
To be honest, I'm a bit pissed off because I actually really want
to walk out of here with some money in my back pocket.
There are certain individuals in here
who really will only think about themself
and will not give a damn about us who are in the camp.
I wanted this whole experience to be fair,
and I just feel like it's not fair.
Why should I work my arse off and be tired
and hungry when they're having fun and we're saving them money?
It's just selfish.
If you told me a week ago there'd be
a spa in the middle of the Malaysian jungle,
that is a bit of me. But the reason I said no is
because I can't spend the team's pot.
At the end of the day, I look at it as everybody's money, not just mine.
I feel like literally everyone's taking the piss out of me.
And me. They're taking the piss out of all of us.
Coming here... coming on here.
It's not a fucking holiday. It's an experience.
I would say 100% I'm a team player.
If we can all achieve summat together,
it's so much more rewarding than achieving it just yourself.
I think I'll struggle with if someone feels
like they're entitled to something, because I feel like I'm quite a fair
person and I like to see everyone be fair,
just because I want to see the greater good of the whole team.
Nobody's... everyone's thinking about themselves and what they need.
I don't know how they'll look us in the eye tomorrow and go like,
"Yeah, let's get on with it, guys."
It's gone. Let's move on.
Not gone. They're right there.
Staring them in the face,
the spa is still open for new customers,
but it will cost £1,500 per person.
We would feel so fresh. But do I need it?
I want it. I need a shower.
I stink, and it's making me feel...
SHE SIGHS
I've said no to the spa and immediately I regretted it.
I'm knackered, I'm full of shit,
I'm aching,
and I've just turned down champagne, a comfy bed,
a teddy bear,
beauty products and sandwiches.
That would just keep me going for at least another day.
Sarah, are you going in there?
Are you going to go in? Yeah, I am, guys.
I've made the wrong decision, and I'm having it.
Is it a need for you, Sarah? Yeah.
Yeah. Even if it's just to get me through to tomorrow.
I'm so sorry.
What are you saying sorry for? For stealing money?
I can't deal with people right now, honestly.
You all right? Yeah. I just can't deal with people.
She just don't give a... She just said... She doesn't give a shit.
She said yes to a Greggs, she said yes to a taxi,
she said yes to this. What's your reasoning?
I've got to think of myself. It's an experience of a lifetime.
And... and I'm knackered.
Oh, crocodile tears are here.
Oh, I can't deal with crocodile tears any more.
She's gonna take everything. Fuck me.
She'll get a shower and she'll be dancing.
Are you coming? I do want to come with you.
I'm just worried about the impact it's gonna have on other people.
Don't get drawn in, Lucy.
Me and Lucy both want to take a big sum of money home,
but I think she's just being a bit of a sheep.
I thought she was going to be strong mentally,
but she's just being weak.
Come with me, darling. But I feel so guilty.
Please, come with me.
Come on. Yeah?
Come with me. I dunno.
I want to go and take the temptation,
but I'm just worried about the other guys.
I've come here to build on myself
and stop putting other people before me.
Don't think about everybody else.
Be yourself.
Let's go.
Fucking hell. I give up.
With Sarah and Lucy
also succumbing to the luxury experience,
the spa bill is now costing the group £6,000.
THEY CHEER
Hey, hey, hey, hey. I've just done that.
Oh, it's a girls' sleepover!
Don't cry!
They make you feel so guilty. Yeah, they do.
But they spent 800 quid on two drinks yesterday.
I'm proud of myself. You know, like, money is really important,
but the experience is as well.
I'm never going to have a spa in the middle of the jungle ever again.
Like, what the hell?
Absolutely mental.
That is the icing on the cake. Literally. Oh, my God.
This is amazing.
Oh!
That is like an orgasm.
This is the life, girls. Honestly, this wasn't a want.
It wasn't a treat. It was a need.
Here, have a nibble. Oh, my God, it's so good.
I'm just eating everything.
Mmm!
I've never felt this happy
in my whole 33 years of living, I don't think.
THEY LAUGH
Honestly, I think I deserve this.
That's what I was gonna say, I personally think we all deserve it.
We all deserve this.
This is 100% the best experience of my life.
I have no regrets whatsoever,
and probably one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life.
How do you think the other campmates are going on, guys?
I think they're hating it because I think they can actually hear us.
I'm not fussed. I don't regret anything.
THEY LAUGH
LAUGHTER AND WHOOPING ECHOES
INDISTINCT CONVERSATION
It tastes like shit. It does taste like shit.
How are they gonna come back here tomorrow and look us in the face
while we're eating this shit?
This temptation has really exposed us to some truths, I think.
I feel like today the cracks are starting to show.
We need to be wary.
It's accelerating the way... the amount we're losing.
And it's only day four.
I know that they are not done. Trust me, they're not.
I wish that that was just the one thing that people would take.
But I've got a nasty feeling
it's like the lid coming off the Pringle can.
YAWNING This bed is nice.
This is the life, innit? Oh, it's gorgeous.
I just need to take a moment... Oh!
...to appreciate this pillow.
This moment, I will take with me for the rest of my life.
I do think we're all very, very lucky.
To put things into perspective,
one of the reasons why I'm here is because...
...seven years ago, me mum started with dementia,
so I took her home with me for five years and looked after her.
Oh, that's so tough. Yeah.
Looking after my mum was very, very, very, very challenging.
I wouldn't wish it, really, on my worst enemy.
It was 24-hour care.
I was up in the night.
I was sleeping on the floor at the side of her bed.
Erm, I did everything.
I was a sole carer,
and within three months I lost me mum,
me dad very quickly to Covid,
and then me stepdad. So in three months, I lost all three of them.
- Yeah. - And I was... SHE SIGHS
Yeah. ..on me arse. Yeah.
It's put things into perspective for me,
especially money-wise, because...
...me mum had a very good lifestyle.
She had a fabulous house,
she had jewellery, diamonds.
It didn't mean jack shit. No. No. It meant nothing.
Oh, mate.
Seeing how your life can just change
does put a different outlook on things.
You've just got to live for today.
Come on, let's get our heads down.
Sarah...
...it's time to wake up, baby.
I can't wait to put my clothes on this morning. Can you imagine that?
I know, we're gonna walk in with all our fresh-smelling clothes,
all deodoranted right up.
If they didn't hate us last night, they're gonna despise us today.
They'll have had a bit more room. Yeah.
There wasn't as many of us in the tent.
I think we might have done them a little bit of a favour staying here.
THEY LAUGH
Oh, my God. We have had the best night's sleep in days.
If we had the choice, I'd do it every night till we go home.
How much money have we actually spent?
In here? 6,000. Is that all?
Ha-ha!
That was so worth the price.
I hope they... the other camp aren't sour about it.
And hopefully we can all get on with the day.
I feel a bit rough, mate. I'm not gonna lie.
Did not sleep very well last night.
Feeling a bit, like, mad.
Because I know that they're all snuggled up.
For six grand.
It's just a lot, man.
This is just going to open a lot of doors now
where people might feel entitled just to splurge everything.
I'm realising some people, like Sarah,
are taking the absolute mick out of us. Yeah.
She's just laughing at us now.
Yeah. We need to have a word with Sarah.
She's just going to shit on us every single time.
Sarah's just a liability.
She keeps taking, taking, taking.
When is she going to stop?
Back to reality now. It's going to be tough.
I think it's going to go off when we get back to camp.
Let's face the music.
If they don't come back in and feel guilty...
I don't think they will.
When the group join us,
I suspect there's going to be tension.
We're back, babies!
I don't want to see 'em.
Conversations are going to be hard.
How was it?
I mean, it was just amazing.
We were spoilt, but I needed it.
I literally... To keep going for the next few days.
And for me, although I wanted it... Yeah.
...the need to put myself first was why I came in here.
I thought you were only here for the money.
Yeah, I am here for the money. But it was £6,000 in total.
So we worked out it was £1,000 a person.
And what you got for that £1,000 was so, so worth it.
I just think it's a lot of money to spend.
Kieran... Kieran, it's not a guarantee, the money.
I would love everybody to take the temptations with me.
I know you would. You'd take anything.
You'd take me clothes off me back.
I don't think Sarah deserves to have taken the temptation last night.
If she's gonna keep taking, taking, taking,
it doesn't sit well with me.
So, we were all discussing,
what's one person that we're really worried about?
Like, taking everything and then leaving us with nothing.
And we said your name quite a lot. Did you?
I worry that you're just gonna, like,
keep taking, taking, taking, then leave.
And then, like... like so much money's gone.
If I take temptations,
that is to get me to the end, to the finish line. Yeah.
That is my goal. Let it drop, or else we're gonna fall out, Shaf?
Right, Sarah, there's no need to come at me like that.
No, Shaf, you're going on and on. No, because, Sarah...
OK, put it this way... All right, put it this way.
If you're gonna be like that, I think you're being fucking greedy.
Put it that way. How do you feel about that?
Don't come attacking me. I'm entitled to attack you
because you're taking out of the group pot all the time, Sarah.
Right? It's not just you in this experiment.
It's not just about you, Sarah. Get it all out of your system.
No, fuck this. Fuck this.
With Sarah, it just goes in one ear and out the other.
And to be honest, it's getting irritating now.
I'm pissed off because nobody's thinking about my feelings.
Everybody's just thinking about themselves,
and I've slowly started to realise that.
So, things are a bit fraught between me and Shaf.
He's a tough little cookie,
but I think Shaf feels so guilty of taking temptations
because I don't think he wants to disappoint the group.
But, you know, you might never see 'em again.
Five days in, and Jennie's time as leader is up.
Now the camp has to choose someone new.
With the group more fractious than ever,
whoever gets it will have a tough job on their hands.
So, I guess we should just go around one by one and say who
maybe we would like to give that baton to and why?
Nico, I think you'd make a great leader
because you've led by example.
I think you've been doing so much around the camp,
like, even helping me with the fire.
You've always been on the cooking.
For me, it was, like, a no-brainer.
I'm going to suggest that our new camp leader is Nico.
I'm just disappointed that nobody's asked me to be leader.
THEY LAUGH
I am so pleased it's you. You're a true gentleman, and I love you.
I cannot believe that I've been elected leader today.
It has been mind-blowing.
And now the spotlight is on me
to step up and diffuse some of the conflict,
because all that does is encourage people
to actually start spending more.
Thank you, guys. I really appreciate it. Thank you.
♪ Nico is our leader!
♪ La-la-la-la! La-la-la-la! ♪
Being able to take home some money would be really amazing.
I live with my partner, Naomi. She's currently doing her master's,
so I've taken on a lot more of the financial responsibilities.
Me and my partner want to start a family.
We've got to do IVF, and it's no secret
that IVF is incredibly expensive,
so being able to take money back will go straight towards that.
After the spa last night, morale in camp is through the floor.
They're arguing, they've gone from wellness to well-pissed off.
And their resolve is about to be tested even further.
They're about to embark on a gruelling 6km trek
with over 400m of elevation
in 96% humidity.
But before they set off, new camp leader Nico can influence
the group's morale with his first decision in charge.
Hello, Nico. Hey!
What are you doing in there? Waiting for you!
Congratulations on being the leader. Thank you, thank you.
Well, you've got the most difficult trek coming up,
and it's going to be the steepest gradient you've ever done.
Right. 400m inclines. OK. It's going to be hot today.
The humidity is going right up.
It's going to be really, really tricky.
However, when you see me, you know it's always good news.
Yeah! I'm going to give you...
...two free taxi passes for the trek.
Wow. OK. Who are you thinking?
Right. So, erm...
I know for a fact Sarah's not going to make it.
She couldn't do the one the other day,
and it was too much for her to do, and she ended up costing us a taxi.
So I will have to put Sarah in the taxi.
I mean, I might have to think about Lady C,
because she doesn't trek so well
and others have to support her a bit more.
Yeah. But she's just been in the retreat,
so I know for a fact they've eaten, they've got food in their bellies.
And to be fair, I do feel in our heart
that we could actually support her through this.
She couldn't have had any more rest... Yeah.
...than she's had! Exactly, yeah. So you know what?
Based on today, because I know he hasn't slept,
I know he hasn't eaten, and I know he's actually feeling really down,
erm, the second person I'm going to put in is Shaf.
Even though they had a massive argument this morning,
you're gonna stick 'em in a car together? You know what this is?
What we do is we tell you to get along.
So, Shaf... Shaf. ..and Sarah... And Sarah. ..are in the taxi.
That's my decision, yeah. Enjoy telling 'em they're not on the trek!
Oh, yeah, I know. Mate, I'm gonna get some daggers
for putting certain people in the taxis, but, yeah...
OK, Shaf and Sarah.
My idea behind it is putting them two together,
means you're not getting away from this, guys.
We're in a team and you guys are going to have to hash this out.
I don't want any animosity. I want people to get along.
The decision I made may not sit well with others.
Some people may not feel that Sarah deserves to go in the taxi,
but I think that they'll understand the money aspect of it.
Guys, guess who's back?
So, I saw Rob. He explained to me
that today is going to be a hard trek.
He then said to me,
I get to put two people in a taxi today for free.
The one thing that we didn't want was
for Sarah to have a medical emergency and take a taxi.
So I said I would put Sarah in a taxi.
Thank you. Everyone has said they don't want to spend
any more right now. Thank you so much, leader.
So it's free. So then I had Lady C and I had Shaf left.
I chose a taxi for Shaf.
You and Sarah are going to be taken in a car together,
and then you guys can have a little chat.
If there's any temptations along the way, you can keep an eye on Sarah.
Right. Let's go, guys!
While Sarah and Shaf await their taxi,
the rest of the fortune seekers begin their back-breaking ascent.
Oh, my God!
It's, like, almost vertical. Just be careful.
Three, two, one!
All incline, this. All incline.

So, there's a bargain bucket for £1,000.
Then they have fries,
popcorn chicken,
Zinger burger with fries,
a fillet burger, and three mini fillets.
And it's everything I love.
This is what I get out of home all the time.
I'm literally so hungry.
What's your go-to? My go-to is that bargain bucket.
Bargain bucket? Yeah.
It... Oh, it looks... it looks so good.
You need this more than anybody else.
This is your thing.
I know, but I just feel guilty because nobody else is here.
Shaf, you've got to move your mindset.
You've got to move your mindset.
You're starving. Who knows? They could've took a temptation today.
They could be all sat in a chippy. Yeah, they could be, actually.
I'm so hungry.
What are you gonna do?
Press the button! Press the button.
BEEP
Hello, welcome to KFC. Can I take your order?
He's asking to take our order. This is brilliant.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God.
It looks so good.
So, if you get the bargain bucket,
I could just have a couple of fries
and maybe a piece of chicken,
and then I can share the guilt.
This will get you through the next week.
There's one thing in my culture, right?
And it's we can't eat on our own. We don't eat on our own.
I'll eat with you.
This is KFC in the jungle.
When are you ever, ever going to find KFC in the jungle?
And this amazing experience?
This is everything that I wanted.
And you've got it! I know, but... Don't let this go.
There's no coming back. Don't let it go.
It's a no-brainer. You're starving and you've taken nothing.
It's just, like... It's £1,000. People have took clothes,
they've took pasties. They've took wine...
...out of your money.
And they're gonna keep doing that.
They're gonna keep taking temptations,
and you'll have took nothing. Mm-hm.
This is your moment.
I can't do it.
It just feels wrong. Shaf...
I'm sorry, Sarah, I can't do it. I'm sorry.
I thought we'd got it in the bag.
He went from being so excited, he really wanted it,
it was KFC, it was chicken, to...
..."I'm not going to take it."
And I were like...
..."What?"
I tried everything
and I just couldn't work my magic on him.
It was all that I wanted.
But...
...I just don't want to take anything away from anyone else.
I don't want to take anybody else's money.
I feel guilty for it.
As Sarah and Shaf head off to camp,
the rest of the group are four hours into their trek.
Ah!
This is not my comfort zone at all.
You got this. You got this, all right?
This is by far the hardest thing I've ever done.
This would be easier if you had a good meal with the energy to burn,
but I can't stomach the rice and beans.
Can't have it breakfast, lunch and dinner.
That's mental torture for me.
A bit low... low energy. Maybe you need something to pick you up.
Maybe. Everyone's hungry, aren't they now?
Guys, we got this, man.
We are all really struggling.
But I'm trying to keep people motivated
to get to the end of this trek and to keep the prize pot intact.
After six gruelling kilometres,
Nico and his group are out in front.
That was hard, that.
And just up ahead,
a familiar sign is about to catch their eye.
Oh, no! Guys!
Oh, fuck off.
What the actual hell?
There's a KFC in the middle of the jungle.
I love KFC. Wow.
This is a bit of me.
I'm absolutely starving.
I've had a gruelling trek.
I don't really want to go back and eat rice and beans.
If I was at home right now, I'd get a bargain bucket.
Loads of wings. Yeah.
I'd get a Diet Pepsi.
I'd get two popcorn chicken.
I'd get the lot. I would definitely get
a fillet burger if I was at home.
Looking at that is making me dribble.
I'd have the full bucket to myself. Would you?
Yeah, 100%. I'd have everything. Would you?
I'm literally starving. But I came in here for money,
and I need to bring them round to my way of thinking.
Go ahead and order if you want to take something.
KIERAN SIGHS
It's not worth it. I know it looks so delicious,
but for that price, it's not worth it.
No.
I can't do. Not a grand for a bucket.
You want it, but you don't need it.
I need to say no quick.
If everyone's in an agreement, let's just go.
I can't believe I'm saying no to a KFC.
Sorry, guys. Thank you for that. Yeah.
That was a mouth-watering temptation to say the least,
but the fact that we could resist, it made me feel really proud,
because I don't really want to spend the prize fund on things like that.
Can't believe I'm saying no to food. I literally love food.
Should be so proud of yourself, honestly.
Nico's a great leader. Old Kieran would be like, yes, straight away
before I'd even seen the price.
But I was thinking of the team and I'm like, "I can't do it."
With Tierney, Charlotte, Yvonne, Sam and Jennie still in the jungle...
I need to eat soon. I'm getting hungry.
...Nico's group arrive at camp with their empty stomachs.
Oh, they're here, a new camp.
Did you see any KFC anywhere? INDISTINCT CONVERSATION
Ah!
Oh, my God, my feet.
Did you manage to get chatting?
There's loads of chat. We had a good day, didn't we?
You haven't made up over a KFC, have you?
No, I really wanted to, but I felt like because I had
an easy day by getting the taxi... getting in the taxi,
I just felt like I weren't worthy of it.
Good. That's what I wanted.
OK, everyone, get your tins out so they can be washed.
That trek has taken everything out of me.
I was annoyed with Sarah going in the taxi.
Sarah should be much more involved with us as a group
and make an effort and try.
She can't get a free ride every day.
I can imagine your trek was, like, pretty tough.
It was horrendous. And I was, like,
trying to push myself out of my comfort zone.
But my brain, with you staying here, was kind of, like...
...thrown.
And I was like,
"Oh, I wish I'd cried for two days, unable to do the trek, so that
"I could stay behind and be given a taxi."
The whole reason why we're here is we're all meant to be
pushing ourselves. Well...
And at the moment, we're getting a lot of temptations,
but we're not really pushing ourselves.
Well, that's to be seen.
Yeah. Because... OK, so that's great.
...if I do need help on a trek...
Yeah. ..I'm taking it.
If I get offered to not go on one of them...
But that's like, now everyone's scared for you to come on a trek
because you're going to spend money, which is like...
But the trek nearly killed me.
It nearly killed me today.
Well... But that's your choice. If you don't want to go on the trek,
get the taxi. But why...?
Let's go on a 14-day holiday
and take loads of temptations and not do anything. Great.
Good. I'm telling you... No, you're not telling me.
No, you're not telling me. ...how I was feeling...
No, you're not telling me. I'm telling you how I'm feeling
when I...how I left, when I left.
And I'm sorry you feel like that.
But, yeah, so we look forward to seeing you
come on the trek tomorrow, OK?
My choice, not yours.
Mm-hm.
SHE SIGHS
I think people have just lost the plot.
Bleedin' Cressida walks in,
makes a right beeline for me,
and starts having a go.
"I'm telling you!"
And I was like, "Oh, no, missus, you're not telling me.
"You're not telling... telling me nothing."
Anyway, I think I put her in her place, hopefully.
GROANING
Five hours after setting off, the second group of fortune seekers
are about to make it to camp for the evening.
Are we nearly there yet?
You sound like my kids.
"We nearly there yet?"
But there's just one stumbling block.
KFC!
Oh, my God! Big bucket! They've got the family bucket!
Oh, my God.
Oh, look at those drinks.
That looks absolutely amazing.
Bargain bucket - 1,000.
Zinger burger with fries - 400.
Chicken poppers down there.
I really think those chips look delicious.
Guys, should we have a think?
I really am starving.
This is so hard for me because I feel guilty.
But I need this food for survival.
Er... No, I don't... I don't know. SHE SIGHS
I'm just gonna say no.
I'm gonna hold out with beans and rice. Yeah, OK.
If I don't get food, I can't be any use.
And I can't do any work without that energy.
Well, hopefully Shaf and Sarah have sorted that all out.
Yvonne doesn't help herself because
we've got rice and beans and she doesn't eat.
You're not going to get any energy if you don't fill yourself up.
If I buy the bargain bucket... But it is £1,000.
I feel like people have been refreshed by having that spa
and eating food.
I feel like people have got, like, boosters there and I've got nothing.
So I'm going to take it.
Oh, gosh.
Hello. Welcome to KFC.
Hi.
What can I get for you?
Can I have a Zinger burger with fries, please?
Zinger burger with fries. Anything else?
Nothing else, thank you.
OK, you can proceed to the next window.
Oh, thank you!
Yesterday...
...some people that I didn't think deserved
a spa treatment, spent £1,500 each
to get a massage and champagne.
So if people had not taken that yesterday,
probably will have gone hungry again tonight.
I'm salivating. Mm!
Ah!
Don't know if I should say this,
but it was better than sex.
With Yvonne unable to resist the KFC...
You happy? I'm sorry, but I was so hungry.
...the fortune seekers have now blown over £13,500.
Guys! Guys, they're back! They're coming back.
Going back into the camp, I am a little bit worried
because the first time I took the Greggs temptation,
I was nearly crucified.
Oh, my God, they've got KFC.
Oh, you're fucking kidding.
Hear us out. Right. So, we know that Yvonne hasn't eaten.
So Yvonne got a Zinger burger for herself.
Right? How much was it?
£400. 400. Fuck me.
400 quid for a burger.
That's absolutely extortionate.
She could have had bloody 20 times as much as that,
even if more at home.
It just worries me that every food one you're going to take.
No, no. I'm sorry. I'm surprised that Lucy was the one
to have an opinion. You had a spa for £1,500.
You bought a top for £500.
My burger is less than £400.
I think it was very hypocritical of Lucy
to be angry that I took the food temptation.
She took a spa worth 1,500. It's quite rich.
I cannot stand the smell of this, like...
It's really knocking us ill.
As night draws in, the camp reflect on another bruising day
in the Malaysian jungle.
That hike was hard. I will not lie.
I just want to say how resilient Lady C was today.
From yesterday going to the spa,
and today she got through everything.
You're all... you're all amazing, though. All of you.
So, Nico, what do you want to get out of this experience?
Been with my partner five years, and I'm trying to get money
for IVF so that we can have a family. Aw. Aw.
That's amazing.
Because I can't have children.
But there is something that I would like to share.
Erm, so what people may not know about me
is I was actually born female.
Really? Yes. Wow. I am transgender.
Oh, wow!
Fucking hell. I would never have guessed.
I spent my whole life growing up hating dresses, hating dolls.
I was always with my brothers, with little cars,
and I always knew I was trapped in the wrong body,
but I just didn't know how to voice it.
There's nothing worse than looking in the mirror
and seeing somebody you don't identify with.
I actually felt like I was locked in a cage,
and I'm looking out on everyone else living their life and being happy.
So, for me, that was why I needed to make a change.
Thank you for feeling comfortable to tell us that.
It's been a hard journey, but to be accepted by everyone,
it's beautiful.
Every day I get to wake up and be the person
that I always knew that I should have been.
Erm, I was just very unfortunate to be born in the wrong body.
And as a leader, you are smashing it.
It's been quite relieving, to be honest.
I think everyone was really receptive.
It's OK to be whatever you want to be.
And I think that's the really important thing.
The group are almost a week into their 13-day journey.
Ah!
And jungle life is taking its toll.
Oh!
But there's no rest for the wicked.
Guys, we've got about ten minutes.
Oh, my God, this is such a rush.
I'm feeling absolutely knackered this morning
and people are really, really, really feeling it.
Including me.
Come on, then, guys.
So God knows how I'm going to do today.
The fortune seekers are about to discover
that today's trek is unlike any other.
Is that the sea, guys?
It looks like the sea!
Oh, my God. If this is a beach, I'll cry.
I think we're getting a day at the seaside!
Oh, that's definitely water!
Wait, that's not moving.
Oh, shit.
These are the Kubang Badak mudflats.
If this lot thought the jungle was hard-going,
they're in for a shock.
To continue their trek,
they'll need to overcome a 2,000m slog
through thigh-deep sucking mud,
where every step is a battle.
Oh, wow. Are you seeing this?
Fucking hell.
Fuck me.
This is my phobia.
This is no joke.
I think I might need a helicopter to stretcher me out.
If anyone decides they've had enough,
it will cost £2,000 to extract them.
OK, come on. We've got Sarah. Go first.
First? First. I'm just going for it, yeah?
Oh, fuck.
I can't stand still for too long.
Pfft!
Right.
Oh, my word!
This is gonna be horrible.
I'm losing my bea...
I'm stuck already!
This is my worst fucking nightmare.
Argh!
Oh, this is ridiculous.
Argh!
Fucking hell!
Can't get my leg out!
I'm stuck!
I'm stuck, I'm stuck, I'm stuck.
I can't actually move. I can't move. Like, I can't.
I'm having a panic attack!
ARGH! Fuckin' mingin'!
SHE RETCHES The smell.
I can't get out. This is fucking insane.
We literally can't move!
This is fucking ridiculous.
Argh!
Let's try and get back to shore.
We can't get to shore.
What are we gonna do?!
Argh!
I can't fucking get up!
I can't do this, I can't breathe!
I can't get any leg up.
Jennie, you can't say we didn't try, love.
I can't do it. I'm done.
RAPID, SHORT BREATHS I can't...
I can't... I can't... I can't get up.
Next time on Tempting Fortune...
Are we going round in fucking circles?
Sarah, make some effort!
Guys, this is epic!
That's a bargain!
They've spent about 18 grand there, haven't they?
Some people have the opinion that you're lazing about in camp
and you don't do as much as other people. Who said that, then?
You're the only campmate that hasn't taken a single temptation.
But that may change.
They don't give a F about me,
so why should I give an F about them?
It's going to kick off.
