My Lord.

People from Tianhuang City are here.

I'm Situ Bo, magistrate of Mingling County.

Greetings, Divine Constables.

You are Situ Bo?

Yes, I am.

Divine Constables,

you arrived in Mingling County so suddenly.

I didn't have time to change into my official uniform.

Please forgive

my lack of manners.

May I ask what brings you here?

Of course,

it's for the case you reported.

It says that

a green-haired demon suddenly appeared

in Mingling County.

We're here specifically to catch the demon.

The story of the green-haired demon

has been spreading by word of mouth

among the locals.

It's mostly exaggerated.

But I was afraid it might hurt people,

so I led my men in searching for it many times,

but we found no trace of it.

Reporting it to the Divine Constable Bureau

was a last resort.

My Lord!

Bad news!

Bad news, My Lord.

A corpse was found

in Yan River in Mount Fuyao.

My Lord, please go and take a look.

Lead the way.

Okay.

Let's go.

Luckily, it was found

before the heavy rain.

Otherwise, it would have been

washed into the sea by now.

Mingling is really like you said.

The rain comes fast

and goes fast.

The weather in Mingling is just like this.

-Everyone here… -Yan.

has some ability to read the weather.

It's been soaked like this.

We can't even tell who it is.

Where is Meng Rui?

He went upstream to look for clues.

If the killer left any

traces,

I think

he will definitely notice them.

How is it?

The cause of death was not drowning.

In his mouth and nose,

there is no river mud.

He obviously died before he was thrown into the river.

The fatal wound should be here.

A ruptured windpipe.

This wound...

The edges are turned outward,

so it wasn't caused by a sharp weapon.

I've seen this kind of wound before.

It should be...

caused by a beast's bite.

Could it be...

that he was bitten to death by wolves in the mountain?

Normally,

when wild beasts actively attack humans,

it's always for food.

But this body is so intact

and hasn't been eaten.

So,

I think

there must be something fishy about it.

My Lord,

nothing like this

has ever happened

in our county before.

Could it be

done by that green-haired demon?

According to those who have seen it,

that demon has long fangs and a green face,

with a bloody mouth like a wolf's.

Nonsense.

Handling cases requires solid evidence.

Especially in front of

the Divine Constables.

Yes.

Take the body to the county office first.

It needs to be examined carefully.

Right.

Also,

we must find out where the body came from as soon as possible

and confirm his identity.

Yes.

Take it away.

Yes.

This is the hinterland of Mount Fuyao,

called Ghost Gate.

Up there are some

hanging coffins that are over 1,000 years old.

No wonder it's called Ghost Gate.

Actually,

it's not just because of

these hanging coffins that it got its name.

It's really because no one dares to come here.

Lord Situ.

Right now,

the green-haired demon in Mingling hasn't been eliminated.

And it seems

there's been a murder.

I hope you can find out the truth.

In this mountain,

does anyone keep dogs?

My Lord,

some hunters used to keep them before.

But in the past two years,

we haven't seen any.

Why?

They were all taken by the Ji family

and kept in the county town.

Ji Ada loves dogs.

Whenever he sees a good dog,

he buys it.

There are 2 prominent families in Mingling.

One is the Gong family, a major shipping family,

and the other

is the Ji family, which runs rice shops.

The Ji family supplies grain

to all the surrounding counties.

Their business is huge.

Ji Ada and Ji Er,

have quite a background.

did it on purpose,

to eat it without my permission.

not to bother him over every little thing

at the dock.

who was causing trouble here?

Mr. Ji.

Say something, will you?

Black Silk Leopard.

What a fine dog.

Go back and tell Gong Sihai

I really like this Black Silk Leopard.

Tell him to name his price.

Whatever it costs,

I'll pay double.

That's a deal you can't lose, right?

Having a chance to do me a favor

is a blessing for the Gong family.

Ji Ada, what are you talking about?

Don't push it too far!

Move!

Guards!

Master!

Master, are you alright?

-Let's go! -Let's go now!

Let's go now!

Let's go!

Are you alright?

I'm fine.

So it's the two Divine Constables.

We meet again.

If you hadn't intervened just now,

it would have been a disaster.

So you knew it would cause trouble?

Then why did you bring this beast out

to show off?

Weren't you afraid it would hurt someone?

I absolutely

cannot agree with you, My Lord.

Although Black Silk Leopard is fierce,

it is extremely smart

and would never bite people randomly.

As you saw just now,

if Ji Ada hadn't

provoked our Gong family first,

how could Black Silk Leopard, eager to

protect its master, have attacked on its own?

Right, My Lord?

So Black Silk Leopard

is indeed a good dog.

Does it just bite through the throat

of whoever its master tells it to?

My Lady,

you can't joke about this.

Throatbreaker?

It's just a baseless rumor.

It never happened.

Today, a corpse

was found in the Yan River.

Mr. Reda,

Are you kidding me?

Having this little brat fight me?

Teach her a good lesson!

Will you fight or not?

Yeah!

Fight!

Beat her to death!
