with mets to hip and C.O.P.D.

Joyce didn't have a very good evening tonight -
continuation from days, I guess.

Quite a bit of discomfort, but she was really
reluctant to take anything for that at first.

Her infuser is on time.
The site is in her abdomen.

She has a breakthrough site
in her right thigh.

At 1700, she does get a routine Haldol
which I opted to give subcutaneously.

She was feeling a bit nauseated.
She didn't have any emesis tonight.

She ate a poor supper.
She was up in the lounge for a bit.

At 2020, I gave her Dilaudid, 10 milligrams
subcu for complaints of right hip pain...

and she actually chose to go to bed
at that time, which is quite different -

Her family was in and decided to go home
at 4,:00 this morning.

And she passed awaypeacefully

and she was pronounced at that time.

And postmortem care has been -

Carmela Nardone came in October 30
and died November 26.

His diagnosis is squamous cell lung cancer.

He's hepatitis C from old I. V. drug use.

He's not had radiation.
He declines that.

He says, ""Oh, I'm gonna die anyway. "

And chemotherapy -
his last treatment was last week.

He's had a fascinating life actually.

From high school, he joined Satan's Choice.
He was homeless for a bit.

He has been employed, but he says
he's made a complete turnaround.

I think part of it was the folks
from the islandjust taking him in.
