JONATHAN LAPAGLIA: Previously...

..on Australian survivor...

This tribe is squarely in my hands.

..AJ continued his hostile takeover.

I have four hostages.

And if this other tribe doesn't start throwing,

I'm gonna walk one off the plank every single tribal immunity.

What about us?

Just hanging out to dry?

AJ's brutal demands...

..put his old alliance in the firing line.

Go!

It says one of the sandbags contains an idol.

Quick, go look for it.

With two idols up for grabs...

Kristin's got it. Let's go.

Oi! I got the idol. Let's go!

..and three more being kept secret by AJ, Paulie and Max...

(SONG-SONG VOICE) Jezebel!

..an unprecedented five immunity idols were in play.

I wasn't on the top, that's for sure. Good luck.

Outnumbered by the Brawn alliance...

..the four original Brains needed to stick together.

And, Max, you are in the circle of trust now.

So if you do anything to us, I will kill you.

But Max couldn't let his vendetta go.

Farewell, jungle rat.

And after putting his trust in the wrong alliance...

If anyone has an idol and you'd like to play it,

now would be the time to do so.

I'm gonna play it for myself.

..he found himself blindsided.

Max. Oh!

My precious immunity idol Jezebel, still in my pocket.

15 are left.

Who will be going home tonight?

(INDISTINCT CHATTER)

(SIGHS)

MYLES: Feels pretty good to survive another tribal council.

I was the only one who had no idea what was going on, yet again.

So you won the old Myles-Max war,

and you're sleeping in your enemy's bed?

I know. (LAUGHS)

Correct idol play is a correct idol, play, at the end of day.

I'll take it.

Last night's tribal council leaves the OG Brains

in a kind of 'every man for himself' situation, I think.

I don't know exactly the way that the votes were split last night,

but I think the OG Brains all put their votes on me,

plus one OG Brawn, possibly PD,

and Max went home.

Obviously, I would have loved to hold on to my idol.

Obviously, I would have loved to be feeling like

I've got some allies on this tribe.

Winning immunities, hopefully.

Oh, look at that. That rice looks so good.

I'm back where I've started to build my little nest.

Yeah, sure.

Firmly at the bottom of the Brains tribe.

Hang on. Sorry. Two more.

Myles, hey, hey. Myles?

But I'm still here, and that's all that matters.

Put him to work.

Being at the bottom is really hard.

I don't know how Myles has done this for so long.

I'm gonna rip it to AJ at the mat chat today.

I just want to tell him to shut the (BLEEP!) up.

Lovely.

We are not safe here.

He literally threw you guys under the bus, hardcore.

Not that you're under the bus, but, like, that's...that's...

I feel pretty under the bus. Do you?

This is not good.

I just need to get myself to merge and back to Logan.

Double rainbow!

Oh, my God!

It's a double rainbow!

That's a good sign.

Oh, look at that. That's a food challenge sign.

Where? Behind you. Straight behind you.

Oh, wow. Yeah.

Good things to come.

Brawns 2.0 has a very good advantage,

in the fact that it has, definitely, OG Brain stronghold.

We can never vote Kaelan off. We need him too much. (LAUGHS)

Alright. Coconut? Yeah.

And we are whittling down the ex-Brawn.

How much coconut am I cutting?

Kristin, Noonan and Paulie are left.

(SIGHS)

It's just a matter of time before we...

..flick a couple more off as well.

He went like this. OK. So he's playing dead?

You wouldn't eat him? You can. You can eat him.

You eat it. You eat him.

I caught it for you. That's my first crab that I caught, and it's a gift.

(LAUGHS)

When I first came to the Brawn tribe, I just wanted...

..I realised I wanted to play with people that I liked.

I came here and I was like, "Oh,

"this is how I wanted to play Survivor."

Yeah.

Right now, I'm probably still top of this tribe and top of the game.

Going forward in the game, I'll always be looking out for myself.

My alliance members aren't that important to me, to be honest.

I think they're always replaceable

and I can always find a path somewhere else.

But that was the tribe. Yeah.

Right? That was what they were like.

But the OG Brawn, I see a lot of use for them.

Plant ideas in their head and then make them dance like a puppet.

I'll do this one. Sure.

Um... I think... I think you're smart.

I think you know how to play the game.

You know the reason why I went through the hostage strategy?

Because I didn't want to send anyone from here home. Yeah.

'Cause I want to play long-game with them. Yeah.

Because, look, the Brains on the other side,

I can give or take them. I don't really care.

They're not people that I want in my long-game.

I want to take you to merge.

That is... Yeah. I feel the same.

Um, first thing is,

like, if we go to tribal council tomorrow,

you're not going home.

Even if I tell you it's you, it's a lie.

Yeah.

And I want to pick you.

There are two options. Logan's one of them.

Yeah.

Back on the Brains camp, she has Laura,

who is, like, her absolute number one.

Laura is a massive game player.

I think she's playing the best game.

If Survivor finished right now, she would win.

If you're saying Laura is the biggest threat,

I would want Laura to have less allies. Yep.

Therefore, she has to work with one of us.

Perfect. Spot-on. Yeah.

Fully spot-on.

And then the other person - and this is a vault moment for you as well,

'cause I just want to be honest with you -

is Paulie.

Because Paulie, I don't think he's with us.

I think he'll play both sides.

Yeah. He will. And he'll go wherever the numbers are.

I don't think Paulie would vote for me,

but I don't think he would stop the vote either.

So if he... Spot-on.

Yeah. If he knows the majority is on me, he'll try his best. Yeah.

But he won't vote for me 'cause he promised me that he wouldn't.

I know I'm not supposed to tell you I'm thinking about Paulie. Yeah.

I know how close you guys are, but I want...

I really want to create that trust with you

so you know I'm being honest with you.

Yeah.

You can repeat whatever you like, obviously,

but just...just...just don't. Yeah.

You know, you need to be a vault.

Alright. Sweet? We'll go that way.

This way. Yeah.

I don't feel secure in the game right now.

I feel like I'm at a really high risk of going home.

I know AJ has put a target on lots of people's backs,

when really, he's just manipulating everybody.

And I think you are going to be the most important person.

Yeah.

Our next vote,

I don't know what you're thinking, but...

Let's see what you're thinking, 'cause we're probably thinking the same.

Smart. (TWIG CRACKS)

Do you have any water in there? Oh, sorry. That's alright. I'll take it.

Sorry. Can we walk, though?

Or do you want me to walk? We were basically done.

Alright. I'm happy to chat. Well, I will, legit, go to the well.

Yeah. OK.

Same shit? What was he selling to you?

(IMITATES AJ) Oh, I really want to work with you.

We can move to forward, blah, blah, blah.

Yeah. I'm doing the whole, "Yep, yep. Working with you."

100%. "Working with you."

But, yeah, don't trust him. No.

What would be your best plan?

Have you got anything different on that?

And then it should be. It should be.

Yeah. That's why he needs us.

I think, for me to go as far as I want to go in the game,

I'm going to have to re-evaluate my plan.

Desperate man. Desperate times.

And so I'm prepared to make a sacrifice.

And our strengths are our relationships

with the people over there, and Noonan's is not.

You know what I mean?

Yep. Yeah.

So I want to leverage Kristin's idol instead of my own idol,

because you know what's better than one idol?

Two idols.

So then they've got at least one vote,

and that's like, a bit of good faith for them.

Yeah.

It's my idol, not his.

I'm feeling quite safe.

I'm not going to use my idol any day soon.

I definitely wouldn't use it

for the two people who I would least likely work with in this tribe.

Yeah, I think we're good. We're on the same track.

Yeah. Good. Oh!

OK, so I'm thinking my cover story

will be that I'm working with Noonan and AJ.

I look at it like the Titanic is sinking

and she's the jack, and I'm the Rose.

And we all know there's only room on the door for one person.

Come on in!

Oh, is this holding the thing?

Oh, it's this...thing.

Yeah. Gotcha.

Morning. Morning.

This is gonna be hard.

Yeah. He's good.

Myles is here.

Brawn, getting your first look at the new Brain tribe.

Oh! Max!

Max, voted out last night's tribal council.

MANY: Wow.

Hey!

Well played, guys. Yeah.

Well played? That doesn't seem well played.

So, AJ, are you surprised that Max is gone?

Um... 50-50.

I thought that maybe one of the big Brawn guys would go home

and the Brains would kind of work it out,

but they must have played really well.

Credit to the Brawn. They did a great job.

(CHUCKLING)

Match-ready after all. Mm-hm.

So, Jesse, does it feel like the game has suddenly turned up a notch now?

Yeah. The game's turned up a notch and I'm excited.

You know, we're not in cruise control anymore.

Let's rev it. Let's hit the NOS button.

(LAUGHS)

Alright. Shall we get to today's reward challenge?

ALL: Yeah!

For today's challenge, you're going to square off one-on-one.

You'll each have two idols -

one in your hand, one on a post.

First to knock both their opponent's idols to the ground scores a point.

First tribe to three wins reward.

Want to know what you're playing for? ALL: Yeah!

A trip...

..to the Survivor pub!

(CHEERING)

Where you will enjoy juicy chicken parmas,

hot chips, salad

and ice-cold beer to wash it all down.

Worth playing for? ALL: Yeah.

Alright, Brains, you have an extra player. You need to sit someone out.

Cannot be the same person in back--o back challenges.

Who's it gonna be? Yeah, JLP, I'll sit out.

Alright, Myles, you're on the bench.

Everyone else, a minute to strategize.

Let's get to it!

I'll go first, if you want?

If you go, then we can look at your technique, too.

Alright, Brains, who are you putting up?

ALL: Big Ben. Big Ben! Big Ben.

Let's go, Ben!

Think of the parmy. Thinking of it.

(INDISTINCT)

Kaelan. Come on out.

Come on, big boy! Come on!

(LAUGHS) Oh, no. Look at those arms!

Look at that beautiful smile.

(LAUGHS) No, don't look at it.

Smile's putting me off. (LAUGHTER)

Keep smiling, Kaelan.

He's too friendly.

Alright. Here we go!

First round, we have Kaelan for Brawn

taking on Ben for Brains.

Survivors ready?

Go.

Go, Kaelan!

Going for that second idol.

Interesting...strategy.

Relax. Relax. Relax.

You got this, Kaelan.

Ben has a long reach.

Watch it, watch it, Kaelan.

It's leaning. Your arm's leaning.

He's got it, he's got it.

Kaelan not afraid.

Keeps pushing him back.

Agh! Love this.

Kaelan and Ben,

like predators stalking their prey.

(LAUGHS) In the eye. Good, Benny!

(INDISTINCT SHOUTING)

Both reach in at the same time.

That is close! Close.

So close.

It's close.

But...

..Kaelan took it.

(CHEERING)

Taking the round for Brawn.

Brawn leads one - zip.

OK, Brawn. Who are you gonna put up?

I'm happy to go.

(APPLAUSE)

You got it. You got, you got this, Kristin.

Go, Zara. Go, Zars.

Alright, here we go.

Next round, we have Kristin for Brawn

taking on Zara for Brains.

Nice, even match-up.

Survivors ready?

Go!

Oh. Kristin sacrificed her idol.

Takes out Zara's...

and gets to Zara's second idol.

Brawn leads, two - zip.

Alright. Next round. Brains?

(INDISTINCT)

Let's go, Bam-bam!

The battle of the Pauls. Let's do it!

Here we go.

Next round, we have PD for Brains taking on Bam-bam Paulie for Brawn.

Go, Bam-bam!

Survivors ready?

Go!

Both going for that second idol.

Paulie, you don't need to go fast. Keep it slow.

Oh!

PD tossing his idol in the air.

He gets to Paulie's first, taking the point for Brains.

Brawn still leads two - one.

First tribe to three takes the reward.

Alright, here we go. Next round, we have Jesse for Brains taking on AJ for Brawn.

Brawn can win it right here.

Brains need to win it to stay in it.

Survivors ready?

Go!

Come on, Jesse.

They both stride by each other, take out that post idol.

Watch the attack.

Slap him, slap the hand. Hands!

Both have a long reach.

Maybe AJ has a slight advantage.

Ooh!

Yours is slipping, it's slipping.

Jesse, you got sweaty palms?

I've got a sweaty mouth, mate. I'm thinking about that parmigiana.

(CHEERING)

Big move from Jesse.

Tosses his idol in the air, takes out AJ's idol.

Brains take another point.

It sconed me on the head.

Just like that, we're tied - two each!

Alright, this is the final round.

Parmy, parmy, parmy.

Brawn, who are you putting up?

Kaz is up. Go, Kaz.

Who's taking Karin on? I reckon Morgan.

Have a go, Morgs.

Why you gotta put the Olympian?

I run! I don't!

I don't do anything. You play football!

Does this look like a football?

Alright, here we go.

We have Karin for Brawn taking on Morgan for Brains.

We are tied.

Whoever takes this round takes reward.

Survivors ready?

Go!

Oooh!

Nah.

Now the match is on.

You have a longer reach than her, Morgs.

Both circling each other.

Who's going to make the first move?

You got this, Kaz. Nice focus. Don't worry.

Get her in the corner, Kaz.

She's gonna drop that forwards.

Karin tries a big move.

It does not work out,

and Brains win reward!

(CHEERING)

Sorry. No, no, it's not you.

(CHANTING) We're going to the pub! We're going to the pub!

Going to the pub! Hey! Going to the pub! Hey!

Straight to the pub! Hey!

Oh! (INDISTINCT CHATTER)

Survivor pub! Here we go. So good.

I've just seen a beautiful, golden, glowing keg of beer

and my mouth is watering.

I don't even drink beer, but this looks so good!

Oh, yeah. Don't drink the beer yet.

Can someone pour me a beer, please?

(ALL TOAST)

Scull, scull, scull! Survivor pub.

That smell! Oh, my God.

Oh, here we go, here we go. Flavour! Oh, my God!

(LAUGHTER)

I've never been happier drinking a beer. It's the smell.

Alright, I think we should sit down and get a bit of a feed going.

Oh, my God, that parmy - delicious, golden-brown with the crunchy crust.

Oh, yeah. I'm gonna eat every single bit of this.

Oh, my God!

And the delicious, gooey, ooey centre!

What the hell is this?

This is what real food tastes like, again.

It was amazing. The sauce was magnificent.

It was like golden juice from the gods. Ah!

(BURPS LOUDLY) (LAUGHTER)

(BURPS LOUDLY) (LAUGHTER AND CHEERING)

ZARA: Oh, God. I am living my best life right now.

(LAUGHS)

The Brawns are completely locked in.

They don't need to strategize with us.

Oh, we've got darts, too! (CHEERING)

And every time I try and talk strategy, I hit a brick wall.

Come on. Who's going to get this bullseye?

We were hoping to build a bit of trust with them

by voting the way that they told us to,

but... Agh!

..we are expendable to them.

(INDISTINCT CHATTER)

(CHEERING)

So my best option is to keep my head down and pray for merge.

Can we ask, in turn, who are you guys

looking forward to reuniting with over there?

Like, who's there for you guys?

Um... I mean, I would probably be more interested in new relationships.

I had one person that I was close to, which was AJ,

and he's making me so, like, "Bro!"

What makes it really bad with AJ

is that this is not the first time he's done this.

I suspect that Laura and Zara are not happy with me.

And after last tribal, I'm no longer going,

"Sit down, shut up, do whatever they say."

My strategy now is to, in the eyes of the OG Brawn,

sever any ties that I have with the Brains.

Kaelan's a really weird one,

because he kind of just floated through the entire pre-swap.

I think that he plays it dumb a little bit.

I'd love to be in the majority alliance.

(LAUGHS) It'd be nice.

I want them to see me as a floating number.

And if I need to give away

some of the messy dynamics of the Brains tribe

just to build a little bit of trust with the Brawns,

I'm going to do it.

I don't know. My instinct is telling me Logan,

just because, obviously, she's tied with Laura, Zara, Karin.

(MOUTHS)

In reality, I'm straight back over with AJ.

If we go to merge, I'm going to do whatever it takes to survive.

But, yeah, if you guys give me a name at the next tribal, like, I'll vote that.

I'm ready to build a little bit of trust together.

Yeah. (LAUGHS)

Well, we'll chat next time we go to tribal, eh?

Yeah, yeah.

WOMAN: Home, sweet home. That was amazing.

What a rowdy night at the pub, hey?

(LAUGHTER)

All you are doing is just giving them

every piece of information that we have.

And you are thinking that

you're being some kind of master strategist or something.

It is a nightmare to watch, for both of us.

You're talking about AJ, giving them all this information about AJ,

which we don't need out there. He's our ally, Myles.

And you are blowing up Laura and I's game -

and yours too, PS -

because you're just giving them all the information for free.

Yeah. OK? Thank you.

Anything you'd like to contribute? Uh, yeah.

You two completely left me out of what was going on yesterday, right?

So you can see how that makes me feel like

I'm even further on the out, right?

But what possible gain do you have

for telling them every single thing that's ever happened?

It's making you look far, far, far worse.

We, us three, are rubbing them the wrong way.

They don't want us here.

I can understand why you are cross with us

and that you're feeling like you're at the bottom. Totally.

But that is still no need to give them any information.

We're all trying to survive until merge, right?

Please stop talking.

They are not your friends.

They don't like any of the three of us. They do not want us here.

We are just vermin to them that they are trying to exterminate.

Yeah, yeah.

Come on in!

Oh, my God. It's a full-on obstacle. This is huge!

This looks very multifaceted.

Oh, big one.

Shooting hoops.

Oh, my goodness me.

Hi, guys. Hi.

Morning!

Alright, Logan.

How does it feel, knowing that winning immunity today

keeps YOU safe,

but potentially puts your friends on the other tribe in danger?

I think that's the challenge that we're all struggling with right now,

is we know that merge is, hopefully, pretty close by.

And it's really hard, knowing that you'll make it to merge,

but there's a chance, if you send them to tribal council,

your bestie might not.

So AJ, do you have any advice for Brains today?

(LAUGHTER) Write this down.

I think they're doing great, and good luck today.

Alright, shall we get to today's immunity challenge?

ALL: Yes!

Alright, Noonan, gonna have to give it up.

Thank you.

Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.

For today's challenge...

..you're going to race through a series of obstacles,

collecting sections of a log ladder as you go.

Once you get all your sections,

you'll hoist them into position

to access a high tower.

Finally, you'll work together to lock a goal into place

that one of you will attempt to land balls into.

First tribe to land all three balls wins immunity

and is safe from the vote.

Losers, tribal council, where somebody is going to become

the ninth person voted out.

Brains, you got an extra player. You need to sit someone out.

Cannot be the same person in back-to-back challenges.

Who's it going to be?

Alright, Morgan, you're on the bench.

Everyone else, a minute to strategize.

Let's get to it.

AJ: I can shoot.

Alright, here we go. For immunity!

Survivors ready?

Go! Go, PD! Let's go, Kaelan.

Gotta chop through that log

to release your first section of the ladder.

Go, PD!

You have PD on the axe for Brains.

You're a lumberjack!

Kaelan for Brawn.

(CHEERING) Kaelan just punishing his log.

Good job, Kaelan! Yeah!

Few more, few more!

(CHEERING)

There it is! Kaelan gets it done.

Brawn have their first section of ladder.

They're moving on.

No, the other way.

Need to untie those logs to access your second section.

Oh, shit. Sorry. Sorry, Paulie.

Go, PD! One more, brother.

Finally, PD gets through his log.

Brains are moving on.

Right. Logs out of the way. OK, mine are good to go.

Brains wasting no time on that one.

Go, go! They're now in the lead!

Come on, come on. Go, go, go!

Someone go ahead. Someone go ahead!

Everyone working those knots.

Myles does not want to go back to tribal.

Got it? Yeah. There we go.

Paulie working those knots now for Brawn.

Great. Done. Just go ahead, Paulie. Go ahead.

He also does not want to go back to tribal.

There we go. Bingo!

Brains untie the knots, get their logs out of the way.

Ben, Ben, Ben, Ben! Quick, quick, quick!

Let's keep moving!

Come on, let's go!

Everyone needs to be on the mat. You're good!

OK. Go, Jesse!

Jesse, going up the rope now.

Go, Jesse!

Needs to grab that lever to release the third section of ladder.

(CHEERING) There it is. Brains have it.

You OK? Now you need to hook them together.

There we go. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

We need to reconnect. Make sure they're secure.

Let's go, guys.

Brawn coming through that second obstacle now.

Everyone on the mat! Let's go!

And it's Paulie going up the rope.

Yeah! Let's go, baby.

Wow! There you go, you monster!

Wasting no time.

(CHEERING)

Makes quick work of that one.

They have their first section. They're moving on.

Help pull the rope!

Brains have a slight lead. PD, you and I.

Now you need to hook your ladder onto the hoist and start pulling.

Ready? Let's go.

Ah! Ah!

Lock it in! Tell me when I can go up.

Both sides around the hook!

OK! We're good on this side.

Is it over the hook? Yep.

Alright! You're good! Go, go, go!

Ben, going up the tower.

You have to land three balls.

Jesse, PD! One of you on each side here.

Brains are a well-oiled machine today.

Go, girls.

They're trying to lock their goal into place.

Backwards, Jesse. Boys, step back!

Pull, pull, pull!

Brawn... Little bit more.

..trying to close that gap. Agh!

Noonan, giving it everything. Got it! Great.

Brawn get their ladder locked in position.

Come on, AJ! You got this, mate.

Alright, AJ... Is it good?

AJ, go! You're up.

It's AJ going up for Brawn. Let's go, AJ!

Hold onto me when you come down.

Hold on. We got you. Good job, guys.

No, no! No, Brains!

Oh, wait. Do we need to get that in?

Your other side has come out! Oh, shit.

Both sides need to be locked in.

Quickly, quickly.

Yeah. Good.

Brawn have that goal locked in position.

You're good, Brawn. Start shooting.

AJ taking the first shot.

Ooh!

Oh, close, AJ. Off the rim.

Take your time, AJ. Breathe.

It's me again. I've got you.

Brains get their goal in place.

You're good! Start shooting, Ben! Let's go!

Come on, come on!

(CHEERING) Right out of the gate!

Ben lands the first one.

Brains lead, one - zip.

Oh. (LAUGHS)

Pressure's on AJ to land one.

Come on, AJ! I thought you played basketball, bro. (LAUGHS)

Breathe, AJ, breathe. Come on, AJ, this is the one.

Nice shot.

Oh, nice!

Oh! (BLEEP!)

Finally, AJ lands one, tying it up - one each.

Come on, Ben.

(CHEERING) Nice!

Ben lands another one.

Brains lead, two - one.

One more!

Let's go, AJ. AJ, keep your cool.

(CHEERING) Just like that...

Take your time. ..AJ evens it up.

We're tied - two each.

Whoever lands this one's gonna win immunity.

Can Ben do it on this shot?

No. So close, Ben.

Alright, AJ, come on.

Come on, AJ! Battle it out. (LAUGHS)

Agh! Unlucky!

To the left, AJ. Really focus on the left, AJ.

To the left.

Both tribes really struggling with that last goal.

Come on, boys!

Oh, no.

Grab that quickly, Jesse!

Jesse, chasing it down!

Quick, quick, Jesse!

Oh! Oh, (BLEEP!)

(LAUGHS) Oh, mate...

Far out! Oi! Come on, let's go.

Are you throwing?

Are you?

Yeah.

Are you? Yeah.

What are we gonna do? I don't know.

Why are you throwing? Why are you?

(SIGHS) I don't know, probably same reason as you.

You want one of my people out? AJ!

How are we supposed to end this?

AJ, mate.

How are we supposed to end this?

AJ, going for the win.

Ow.

Here we go, AJ.

Come on, man.

Way off. Goes long.

AJ, to the left.

I know, I know, I know.

Is he taking the piss? I don't know.

This is getting silly.

Come on. Actually try, AJ.

Well, maybe we should just call it a draw

and get both tribes at tribal tonight.

Yeah! Let's do that. We may as well. Like, Jesus.

Send two people home.

Come on. We don't want to go back to council.

Can we make it less obvious now? Can we do something else?

You got this, bro. You got this.

No, let's try and get it in. You're actually gonna get it in?

Come on, Ben. Come on, Ben.

Yeah.

Desperate to have a chat. OK.

Oh! Well done!

Finally, Ben puts it away,

giving Brains the win,

sending Brawn back to tribal council.

NOONAN: What the hell, man?

So if we go home, AJ, it's on you.

I wish you would have just told us.

We wouldn't have busted our butts to just...do nothing.

Paulie and I could have just sat down.

Bad luck, guys. Good team effort.

Well done, guys.

It feels bad, eh? That's the game.

It's actually a pretty easy shot. Mmm.

Noonan. Yo.

Clearly, that was an upsetting loss for you.

Yeah, it's...

Excuse the pun, but I busted my balls and worked really hard.

And if he wasn't going to bust his, he should have just told me.

Could have not sweated this whole time, which would have been lovely.

Or rolled an ankle.

But AJ made that move.

And, just so everyone knows, we didn't know about it.

He made it himself and that's on him.

Send him home.

'Cause... But maybe... I'd say, just once he was up there,

maybe he saw the other side was doing something like that.

So it could have been just reacting.

No. (LAUGHS)

AJ is the man with the plan, you know?

He doesn't go into anything without thinking about it first.

Noonan's 100% right. Yeah.

I think we're both throwing today, and...

I hit that lip of that ring about 20 times.

Yeah. Seriously.

He was pushing. You didn't get within a metre.

No. I hit that lip so many times.

If he was throwing, he wouldn't have got the ball in the (BLEEP!) hoop.

Yeah.

So, Ben, AJ's accusing Brains of doing the same thing.

What would you say to that?

Well, you got to throw the blame here and there, don't you,

if you've got the spotlight on you?

I don't... I'm not surprised by AJ.

He's just trying to get in our heads.

Alright, Brains, congratulations.

Immunity is yours.

Yeah! Yes!

(CHEERING)

Myles very happy about that.

You are safe. Nobody going home tonight.

Head on out.

Good luck, guys. Enjoy your night off.

Bye, guys.

Good luck.

Bye, guys.

Oh, I have been a victim of many ankle injuries.

And this one's up there.

I'm in a lot of pain.

So I'll have to do more talking, less walking.

Um. Well, that was disappointing.

Maybe... Yeah. If you guys want to talk about it, I'm happy to...

Maybe you just want to explain why you did what you did.

I thought we just had to lose.

Once we merge, then we won't have numbers

if they keep voting out Brains.

So the second that they voted out a Brain

and the three Brains kept telling me they're on the bottom

and they're getting voted out... Yeah.

..that means that, 100%, when we merge,

those Brains will be with us.

You made it really clear that you didn't care about ANY Brains over there.

Mm-hm.

You were happy to have Max out.

I'm happy. That's fine.

We know Logan's close with Laura. We know Kaz is close with Zara.

But you've said, multiple times, you don't care about either of them.

You don't care that Logan and Laura are close.

You don't care if Logan goes home.

(INDISTINCT)

You've told me that you think Laura's a shoo-in to win.

The way to weaken Laura is to get rid of Logan.

Oh!

Ouchie.

That hurts.

Are you just making this up now?

I never said that. I never said that once.

I don't know why you're smiling.

Like, do you think you proved a point there?

Like I'm confused.

If you just told me you were going to throw it,

I wouldn't have gone ham like I did.

I felt if we lose, my life's on the line no matter what.

And, Paulie felt the same. You knew your life wasn't on the line. You knew it.

No, I didn't. I guarantee it.

But your selfishness has now put me in a liability

'cause I can't run around and scramble.

Your point is, you just wanted to know so you didn't go 100%.

That's your point? Yeah.

OK, well, I understand your point.

OK.

I've blown up at AJ, and I don't regret it one bit.

I was not going to let some crazy man

think he could walk all over my game.

I'm gonna wash this.

I feel like my back is well and truly up against the wall.

The cracks are there. I know they're there.

Logan's already annoyed at AJ,

so it might be just enough to tip her over the edge.

This is what I said. He's a liability.

She's just trying to...

No, he... This is who AJ is.

I'm mad at AJ.

He doesn't care about anyone but himself, and I'm over it.

That shows me that he's still gunning for me.

It doesn't matter what he says to my face, he's still gunning for me,

and I cannot trust him.

It doesn't matter, though, 'cause we've got the numbers.

About me!

Yeah, but look how angry everyone is at AJ.

It doesn't matter. He's already got... He's already turned on me.

About getting you out? BOTH: Yeah.

She's not making that up? No.

Why would she?

That's interesting.

Of course he is. This is who he is, guys.

He's an absolute bloody snake.

I'm hearing all this, and it is shocking,

but I just feel like

he's somebody that is always going to be a target more than us.

Sadly, my golden retriever phase has ended.

Because he won't...

Yes, he will.

I need to keep a few people in line.

So, yeah, it's the sheepdog time.

Bite a few ankles, get everyone in the right direction.

If you guys had had your name sewn up by him twice,

you'd be as angry as I am. Of course. We understand.

I'm just furious. OK.

Now, this is hard for me, because I want Logan to think

I'm more on her side than I am on AJ's side.

But I also absolutely don't want AJ to go home.

The hostage situation didn't actually go as badly as it looks.

He's a snake.

The only reason it's kind of backfired

is Noonan just had an outburst and Logan took it seriously.

He's just... He's not very nice, and I don't like it.

Anyway, not everyone can be logical.

Noonan's mudslinging has definitely hurt my reputation.

I'm weighing this vote up between Paulie and Noonan.

But Paulie is the obvious vote.

Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

Uh, hi. Hey.

Um...

Um.

If you're not getting talked to, you're getting talked about.

Yeah. But...

I know she wouldn't vote me. Yeah.

I'm gonna... I'm prepared to do what I have to do.

Me?

Well...

I would like to, but... If you're OK with that.

It's never gonna be on you.

It's just gonna come at you.

OK.

So...

Noonan. Noonan. Noonan.

Paulie, Paulie... Man, it feels so weird to... You're right next to me.

No, that's the wrong way. What?

Oh, God.

(INDISTINCT)

Um...

So...

Noonan. Noonan. Noonan. Noonan.

Paulie, Paulie... Man, it feels so weird to... You're right next to me.

No, that's the wrong way.

Didn't you say us four were voting on Paulie?

Four of you voting for me? No!

KAZ: He's the minority split.

Why don't you just put the boys write my name?

You write my name, you write my name, and then...

That's the easy way to...

OK. Oh, God!

Yeah. I'm gonna help.

I'll go get the fire going. Alright.

Are you comfortable with that?

Um...

None of us are flipping on you.

No. All good. What are you thinking?

Oh, it's just not nice to hear your name, babe.

It's not nice. I thought we were bonding here,

and that just doesn't feel good.

Do you think I threw out your name? Well, it sounds like it.

You really think I threw out your name? I don't know.

Yeah. When you hear your name, you don't feel good about it.

Even if it's not true, it gives you a yucky feeling.

I just want you to really know I didn't throw your name out.

Yeah.

It's impossible for me to send you home.

Impossible. You...

There is no world in which you should feel insecure.

OK, cool.

I'll get sticks as well.

They're gonna split it?

That means they want us to choose.

And I'm just not going to vote for you.

It's hard, Noons. You know what I mean?

Like that's what... I know.

I don't want to vote for you.

But you got to do what you want to do.

Let me go and talk to him, now that...

Of course everyone spreads to the furthest perimeter.

Everyone and their two legs are scrambling or looking for an idol.

And I am sitting, which is not how I thought it would go.

And I know for a fact that it's probably going to be me tonight.

But being a Noonan means we don't give up.

AJ's all about keeping your cards close to your chest,

and he just showed his royal flush like that.

I just want you to know, literally nothing's personal.

I think you're an amazing human.

I know I am. Yeah.

I, um, in hindsight, I wish I just told you we were throwing.

Yeah.

I wanted you to KNOW you were safe. Yeah.

Yeah, I get that you went out of your way to tell me.

I want to throw AJ completely under the bus.

Well, I'm gonna vote for AJ

because I think just get rid of the problem.

Logan's made it pretty clear that AJ annoys her greatly.

You know what? I'm going to remind her again,

that even though I've just had a fight with AJ

and despite our differences,

he still wants me to vote Logan tonight.

Did he say that?

No.

But he said it before. So I'm going to go with that.

Logan. AJ's still going,

"We can do this, Noonan, we can do this."

Like, he's still got his fingers in the pie.

What's he saying to you? He wants me to vote you.

Tonight? Yeah.

Karin.

He wants me to vote Logan. That's what he said to Paulie.

(GROANS)

I've wanted this guy out from day three.

No-one listens to Logan. I know.

Let's just get him.

Let's just get him, guys.

Guys, come on, let's just pull the trigger and get rid of the worm.

Just pull it.

You will never have this opportunity again.

I'm sick of him throwing out my name.

Let me just go and confirm.

You just watch that.

OK if I come in, or you guys still want to chat?

(INDISTINCT)

Look...

I want the winner of Survivor to be noble

and have a little bit of integrity.

And throwing a challenge, that's winning the game cheaply.

Yeah.

You know, there's an opportunity to get rid of a snake

and possibly obtain two lions.

Yeah.

So, yeah, it's up to you.

But just let me know what you write. Yeah.

Thanks, Paulie. Appreciate it. Alright.

Thanks, guys.

Are we still going Paulie tonight?

We go Paulie.

This is frustrating, because I don't know what's around the corner,

and I don't know whether I'm missing my window of opportunity

to get AJ out of this game.

No, it's... I just... I, I just hate him.

AJ?

But I want to get him out before merge.

Got one leg.

I'm barely hopping in between conversations right now.

Why isn't Paulie looking for an eye.

Yeah.

So I've had this idol now for... 14 days.

Nobody knows about it except me.

Including my ride-or-die Noons.

I'll be here if you need me.

And it's looking like tonight's the night.

We just have to vote as a three.

I'm a man who values honesty, loyalty and integrity.

That's just the type of guy that I am.

But in the game of Survivor,

you've got to start choosing yourself

over everybody else.

And the choice is me or Noonan.

Watch Brains tackle Brawn

in the ultimate battle for survival

with full episodes over on 10 Play.

Good evening. Evening.

Hello. Paulie.

Alright, so, AJ, correct me if I'm wrong,

but did you admit to throwing the challenge today?

(LAUGHS)

I definitely threw the challenge today. Yes.

I'm a little confused,

because a couple days ago,

you were instructing the Brain Tribe to start throwing challenges

in order to save the hostages that you've taken on this tribe,

namely Noonan, Paulie and Kristin,

the three OG Brawn.

So, at that time, uh, the current Brains tribe

was five OG Brawn, four OG Brains.

If they had got one of the Brawn to flip,

then we wouldn't need to throw challenges anymore.

We could compete.

But if the Brawn didn't flip,

then there were five Brawn and three Brains,

and they were definitely going to stay Brawn-strong.

So then we had to throw, and it worked.

Well, Noonan, my head is, like...

..like, twisted into a bit of a pretzel right now.

Same! (LAUGHTER)

Yeah. AJ is full of surprises.

He has five plans going at the same time.

He kind of reminds me of fire, right?

He's great to look at. He's warm.

But we're not dumb.

We know as soon as you get too close,

you're going to get burnt.

And I'm feeling pretty burnt tonight.

I think there are other people on our tribe

who have already been burnt.

And I think too afraid to make a change,

which is madness to me,

because the only way you're going to move forward

is if you make a change.

Logan, what would you say to that?

He's absolutely right.

I have been burnt by AJ in the past.

And the definition of insanity

is doing the same thing over and over again

without any change.

And maybe I'm a little insane, then, because AJ still sitting here.

I think AJ has fingers in a lot of pies

and it's backfiring tonight.

I don't want to be another victim of AJ's great manipulation skills.

OK, I'm just gonna chime in here now.

Please. This is your tribal. There's a lot of slander going around.

No. I said you were a beautiful fire.

(LAUGHTER) Don't forget that, AJ.

Yeah. I definitely communicate with everybody that I'm aligned with.

And I think everybody here

knows that, every step of the way, I've communicated what I'm doing.

Uh, what the plan is, pre doing anything.

Except for throwing the challenge.

That was... Yeah. OK. Sure.

Did you guys know he was going to throw the challenge?

Anyway, I communicate with everybody around me.

There's a lot of plans, but there's always a communicated final plan.

And I'm quite predictable when it comes to the bottom line.

Karin, your eyes just bugged out.

Like, "What? You're predictable? I don't think so."

I have an expressive face! No, it's great.

Oh, I wouldn't call you predictable, mate.

Like, seriously?

Absolutely not.

Yeah. So I take AJ's word as a guideline.

Wow! Love you.

Ouch.

Ow. Hey.

That was so mean! That was so mean.

Alright, so, Paulie,

how do you feel about AJ deciding to throw the challenge today

when it potentially could end your game tonight?

Yeah. I mean, I don't like having my game dictated to me

by somebody else's actions.

I think it's manipulative. I think it's weaselly.

And those are not values or morals

that I can see myself moving forward with.

So I understand, we're all here for the glory

and the title of sole Survivor.

I guess what I wasn't prepared for

is the amount of people

who were willing to jeopardise their integrity to get it.

You guys can keep trying to throw me under the bus.

It's fine. I think... I respect it.

I think you're trying to... I'm not throwing you...

You're playing your game. I'm not throwing anybody under the bus.

As long as you give me a chance to clarify... Yeah, that's what I'm asking you.

Yeah. For sure. What I work with is facts.

Have I ever given you a name of one of the people in my alliance

and thrown them under the bus since I've been here? Yes.

Whose name? And why?

Logan. And why.

That's a lie. When? Um... It was like.

And I expect you to lie here, which is great.

Like, you're trying to save your game, which is cool.

When did I say Logan's name?

Uh, pretty much the first day you came to the beach

and you pulled me aside and you were like,

"I want to work with you."

You told me that Logan and Laura

have a relationship that is unbreakable,

and Laura is already in for the win.

So if Laura is in the game and Logan is in the game,

there is no hope for anybody else.

In what part of me saying that was I gunning for Logan?

When you said

"We need to keep them apart. Logan needs to go."

No, I never said that. (LAUGHTER)

That part was... OK.

Logan, I'm gonna... I'm gonna ask you this.

Hi. Am I a part of this now?

If I wanted you gone, why would I save you?

Oh, goodness, I don't know. Tell me more.

When Rich was voted out,

AJ came to me with the plan to get rid of you.

Right.

AJ was like, "I really wanted to do this with you guys."

He wanted to prove to us that we could trust him,

like, going forward with the vote.

That's the conversation he had with me. Why would I do this?

Hold on, hold on. Just hold on.

We never wanted to vote you out.

And everything he said to Paulie, word for word, he said to me.

That's not. I didn't say YOU said.

You just said before that I came up to you, and I was gunning for Logan.

I didn't say gunning. And now you're backtracking. I didn't say gunning.

I said you told me that Logan's relationship with Laura was a problem

and they can't be together. It's alright. It's...

I think I think this one's fine.

I don't think I don't think I need to justify this one anymore.

I just wanted to make sure it was completely unbelievable.

So, I think we're there.

AJ is going to be a liability, going forward.

AJ is unpredictable.

Can we rely on that?

I don't think so.

So, Logan, what do you think about Noonan's pitch?

It's a great pitch to have.

I mean, she seems pretty great to me.

So it is hard to tell what's truth and what's not.

I think I, like, relate to Logan a lot

because we play with our hearts.

Like, I see Logan's heart when she plays

and I try and do the same.

I'm on the bottom,

and I want to work with people who want to work with me.

If it's me tonight, that's fine,

but it's going to be one of you guys very soon.

So, Noonan, now, what?

Are you at that point in the game where you have to cut your losses

and throw one of your allies under the bus

and just save yourself?

Yeah, it's definitely an option.

And Paulie and I have enough respect for each other

that we knew this day would come.

We hoped it would be later.

It's hard for me to be selfish.

Yeah.

So, Paulie, is self-preservation on the table today?

It's always been about self-preservation.

And I need to play what's in front of me.

I can't think about merge right now because I need to get through today.

And if that means that I'm going to have to make sacrifices...

..then I'm going to have to make sacrifices.

I love Noonan, I love all of you guys. I love Kristin.

But I love me more.

(LAUGHTER)

Alright. It is time to vote.

Alright. It is time to vote.

AJ, you're up.

I gave you every chance for us to work together,

and you just never said the right thing.

You little weasel.

I'll go count the votes.

If anyone has an idol and you want to play it,

now would be the time to do so.

Well...

I was hoping to hold on to this insurance policy

for just a little bit longer.

Who'd you vote for? Paulie.

Did you actually? Yeah.

Alright. Who you want to play it for?

I'm gonna have to play it for myself.

Alright. This is an idol.

And any votes cast for Paulie will not count.

I'll read the votes. No, no, no, wait, wait.

He's... He's... He's doing one.

Oh.

Oh, AJ, AJ, AJ.

I don't think anyone voted for you.

Really? Yeah.

What do you mean? That you're aware of? Are you smiling?

I don't think any... Did you vote for him?

(INCREASINGLY FAST HEARTBEAT PULSES)

Oh. Well, whatever.

Oh, mate!

What? I told ya!

You want me to tell you I have an idol?

Yeah! If we're in your alliance, yeah.

Who do you want to play it for? For myself.

You're not going to tell anyone in your life you had an idol? Great.

It's like Noonan was right. It's so weird.

This is also an idol.

And any votes cast for AJ will not count.

I'll read the votes.

First vote. Paulie.

Does not count.

Seriously?

Paulie. Does not count.

Yeah, I would have.

Paulie. Does not count.

Paulie. Does not count.

Wow.

AJ. Does not count.

Noonan.

That's one vote, Noonan.

One vote left.

Ninth person voted out of Brains Versus Brawn...

Noonan.

You need to bring me your torch.

Bye, Noonan. Noons, that was...

Never lied to you, mate. Yeah, I know. Never lied to you.

I didn't lie to you either. AJ did lie to me.

But, whatever. What did I lie to you about?

Do you need a hand? No, no.

Yeah. Can we help her?

Ah, you could have by, like, I don't know, voting with me?

Let me hold your stuff. No. It's fine. I got it, I got it.

She doesn't need your help anymore, Paulie.

Noonan, the tribe has spoken.

So I beat Nash the Rash and I beat Rich the Itch.

But everyone will remember Noonan from the Niche.

(CHEERING)

Bye!

Well, no matter how many home truths are shared here,

there's always a surprise - or two - as well. (LAUGHTER)

Grab your torches. Head back to camp. Good night.

Two idols! Jesus.

Tomorrow night...

..they say to keep your friends close...

Thank you.

AJ is playing his idol blew up this alliance completely.

..and your enemies even closer.

No-one's going to win half ¤1 million

sticking to an alliance that's been in since day-one. No way.

I love you guys.

But, most importantly...

Can we come up with a name?

Girls Gone Wild.

..always watch your back.

The boys have no idea what's coming for them.

Till death do us part.

I know Paulie and Kristin wrote my name down tonight.

I'd hoped that they wouldn't.

I hate that it's come to this.

Um, I'll see you at revs.

I'm devastated that I'm not in the game.

But when you have a dream for so long...

..21 days is better than one,

so I'll take it, you know?

And I hope everyone saw how cool of a person I am,

'cause I'm just so fun, and I never cry.
