Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas.
The Finding Mr. Christmas marching band.
Six holiday hunks were still in the running for a leading role in a Hallmark
movie. Merry Christmas.
In the festive face-off, the guys became human ornaments rolling through the
Christmas trees.
Then in the star quality challenge. We're having a snow show. Snow show. The
guys teamed up to bring their own sparkle to a Christmas block party.
What's up with the blazer? You and your eggs running for office or? Who brings
eggs to a Christmas party?
They're a classic. What did you bring?
Brownies. Like a normal person?
One team found the joy.
We are nice.
The other fell short.
Those were awful.
I think I'm going to need another one of these.
Craig rose to the occasion.
Robbie, you're going home for the holidays.
But Robbie's story came to a close.
Now, just five leading men remain as we continue the search to find Mr.
Christmas.
All right, so we're down to the final five.
Everybody's growing, working hard.
Like-minded people who are all out to see the best in each other and
accomplish something together. It's great, man.
I'm so happy that there are other people out there like me who can be vulnerable,
who can be supportive, who do get excited about life, and who still want
to make cool art. How are you feeling, man?
I mean, to make it this far hasn't been easy.
I'm not going to lie.
playing soccer all my life. I was always in the bench and worked so hard to make
it to the starting lineup.
And I feel like I've implemented that into my acting and career.
I started with no English, I started with no acting abilities, no experience
in the work, the sweat, and the passion into it. Yeah.
Just seeing you guys shine every day just makes me work even harder and
harder. We're the Fab Five. We made it here.
It's an accomplishment.
Yeah, yeah. Let's go.
Top five on the planet.
¿Cómo se dice final five en español?
Los cinco finalistas.
Los cinco finalistas.
That's it.
It's time to go. It's time to go.
Bring the donuts. I'm going to eat some of those later.
Why do I have to be in charge of the donuts?
How'd you get in our house?
We're down to five golden hunks.
While you all deserve to be here, only one of you will be crowned Mr. Christmas
and walk out of here with a starring role in a Hallmark holiday movie.
It's time to show us your strong, silent hunk side.
This is Silent Night.
Picture this.
It's Christmas Eve, and Santa can't make it to the house to deliver the presents.
He asks you to step in and get the job done.
And you have to do it without waking up the kids.
Sounds easy, right?
What you don't know is that delivering presents can be a dangerous game.
Kids are always trying to catch Santa in the act by setting booby traps just to
catch a glimpse of the big guy.
Basically, we've created an obstacle course with noisy booby traps.
You must make a path through all the obstacles to get your bag of presents
under the tree. Every time you make a sound, you get a point.
In the end, the person with the least amount of points will win.
I have a lot of questions, but I know that a lot of them probably won't get
answered until I'm able to be in the room.
Win, and you'll get an advantage in the star quality challenge, which you will
want. Yes, I definitely want that. Oh, yeah. Okay,
Angel, come find me up in the workshop.
I'll see you guys in a bit. All right. Shh.
It's time to be quiet.
The challenge has started.
Boom! All this noise.
Really?
Everywhere I look, there's a booby trap.
I have to be careful, gentle, and quiet while carrying this
sack of gifts.
I'm looking at everything and being present, taking pictures
with my brain.
I'm relieved to finish.
That was actually hard.
Nice. Good job. You actually, that goes towards this.
That counts.
I hope the guys don't do as well as I did.
So much fun. It took me back to my childhood.
My sister and I were like six and nine.
My parents always would hide their Christmas gifts in the closet.
And my sister and I would be like, let's sneak in. We had to go through little
obstacles. Yeah.
My mom wouldn't put them out until, like, right before I woke up, so I
couldn't sneak and see them.
Yeah, otherwise, I would have snuck and saw them.
I'm really looking forward to this one. I think I'm gonna do all right.
My wife would describe me as a bull in a china shop, so this isn't exactly the
perfect challenge for me. Is that Spider-Man? Spider Davey.
Don't make a sound.
Oh.
man, this is not the start I wanted.
This is absolutely impossible.
I don't know how I'm gonna make it through this.
Maybe this one isn't for me.
That bull in the china shop thing, I think that feels very true in this
moment.
Looking back, I don't think any amount of cartwheels could have prepared me for
this one.
Yeah, be quick, but don't hurry, you know?
I'm really excited about it. I remember as a kid, like...
doing exactly this, wanting to sneak downstairs and see if I could catch
Santa. This is it. Time to make my inner child proud.
Great.
My strategy is to move as fast as I can.
It was a sneakily fun challenge.
Have fun with the booby traps. I will.
I'm up next. My biggest concern is that my pants are a little tight, but I'm
actually pretty light on my feet like a cat.
Silent night.
You have to be as quiet as you possibly can.
Oh, okay. I was going to whisper it.
I'm going to do the best I can, but I mean, what in the world?
Whoever set this up, like, good job.
No
way.
The tree's right there.
I'm at the tree.
I'm done.
Get me out of this room. I'm the worst quiet Santa that ever existed.
Craig's been up there for a while. I wonder how much longer... Oh, there he
is.
What's up, dude? That was ridiculous.
How do you feel like it went?
Not great.
Okay.
fairly flexible, although I don't stretch nearly as much as I should.
As long as none of the bells or whistles or anything are going off,
I'm okay.
This challenge is extremely hard because I have the bag and I'm trying to
maneuver it through all these things.
So I'm just trying to take my time to make sure that I'm not hitting anything
in my path.
I can see the tree. It's right there.
I just got to go a little bit further.
Just a few more steps and I can put these presents under the tree.
But I mean, I'm looking at all the obstacles that are between me and the
tree. And I'm thinking I could try to go down there.
Or I can jump.
Jump from the table does make a little bit of a boof. I don't know. I don't
know what's going to happen.
Hey, guys. You obviously all did a great job, but one of you had the most
silentest of nightists.
The winner of this festive face-off is...
Marcus, congrats.
I did not think I won that. What? I was really scared about that jump at the
end. I guess it paid off. Big risk, big reward. Exactly.
Congratulations, Marcus.
Now, go get your footing for your next star quality challenge.
Okay. See you soon. Great. All right.
Coming up. Oh, wow.
It's going to be a blast.
I'm a sugar cookie.
Practically impossible not to love. Do you know anybody that sounds like that?
But we still live together.
Oh, that's awkward.
I think the knight's my favorite piece, because you can just do the most things.
Like being an actor, you got to be versatile, right? Right, right, right.
You can also jump over pieces. He's the only piece that can do that.
You know how to play?
Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, I love chess. My wife kicks my butt, but I do love chess.
I definitely want to teach my son to play someday.
We're going to learn right now. I could keep beating him over the years until he
gets good enough to handle pops.
This is like the longest I've been without him, you know?
How old is he? Letting my wife handle him.
the kid full time. He's, gosh, he's eight weeks now, so just two months.
Eight weeks, okay.
Yeah, still fresh, man. Is it getting easier?
It definitely gets easier as you go. You kind of figure out what works, what
doesn't work.
Every day is super bittersweet in the house because I'm getting one day closer
to becoming Mr. Christmas, but it's also another day that I haven't been home
with my wife and with my son.
That's a huge responsibility.
How do you feel like you're going to parent your son?
Knowing what I struggled with growing up.
I don't want to impress that upon him in any way.
Giving him the freedom to make his own decisions and also encouraging him that
mistakes are okay. In fact, make them because you're going to do so much
better. You're going to get so much further when you allow yourself to do
that. That's great, man.
I'm sure you're going to do awesome.
You definitely are. I can already tell. You can never go wrong just doing your
best.
I have had an incredible time with all of the star quality challenges so far.
I feel pretty confident that I'm going to be able to do the work, connect with
the character, connect with my co-star.
So I'm sure that this is going to be epic.
Hey, guys. Nice to see you here at the Kringle Creek.
Nice. Ooh, Kringle Creek. Lovely.
One of the most romantic spots for a picnic date.
Ooh. Picnic.
In this star quality challenge, we want to see you in a classic Hallmark scene,
a leading man having a romantic date with his leading lady.
But there's a twist.
This scene picks up in the middle of the date and in the middle of the
relationship. We're at about page 65 in the script, where they know each other,
they're already together.
So before you start the scene, you have to make sure you create some chemistry
with your co-star.
There's a history.
With this person, you've already had time together.
So for this one, you don't have to stick to the script.
Use it as a guide.
Some of you may end up improvising and saying different lines.
It is about that connection.
Receive what she's given you and give it right back to her. You're the mirror of
what she's given you. Okay, okay.
And we have the perfect co-star for you guys. We do.
This Hallmark star is an actress, director, and writer who's been seen in
movies like Jingle Bell Run.
She hosts the unscripted series Small Town Setup and runs Make Her Mark, the
Hallmark women's directing program.
Wow. It's the outstanding Ashley Williams.
All right, Ashley.
So great to be here. Thank you. Thank you so much for having me.
Welcome, Ashley.
These are the boys. Boys, Ashley.
Hi, everybody.
We're going to be acting with the Ashley Williams in this one, a Hallmark
superstar. This is going to be a great opportunity that I'm not going to take
for granted. I think you guys are, at this point, pretty seasoned on the
beginning parts of the relationship that develop over the course of the Hallmark
movies. But this is sort of like a get-to-know-you time. So I would focus
more than anything else on that, just being authentic to sort of having the
relationship. evolve right in front of your eyes.
And we'll find it together. I'm right here with you. I've got you. So it's
going to be a blast.
Marcus, since you won the festive face-off, you are going to be picking
the order in which everyone performs. Yes. OK, that's good. That's good. I
like it. OK, so Angel is up first. OK.
I'm going to go second. I want to go second because the longer you have to
wait to go, you can get really nervous and get in your head.
Craig is third.
Davey is fourth.
And, Rustin, you are fifth. Thank you. All right, boys.
Here are your scripts.
You'll be judged on the chemistry and the connection you create with Ashley.
And that will start the moment you meet her.
There's just a lot more about you than you think.
Date scene with Ashley Williams.
It's two people just kind of getting to know each other. They're starting to
realize, okay, I think I like this person.
And I've been there before. I can relate.
Which is better, giving Christmas gifts or... Receiving them.
Definitely giving gifts.
I don't have any experience doing romantic scenes like
this, but I know working with a pro like Ashley will make my life a lot easier.
I almost feel like I wish I would've went first, because I do feel, like,
good and fresh right now.
You can't go back. But second is just as good, because I hate waiting.
Hello, Angel.
Hi. I'm excited to watch you shine. This scene is about connecting with your co
-stars. So prior to starting the scene, I want to connect with her. Hey, Ashley.
Oh, my God. It's such a pleasure to work with you. You too.
Come and take a seat. Apparently, this food is all stuff that we can actually
eat, should we want to.
Cool. Yeah. Can I ask you for a favor?
We can do anything you want. Yeah.
Tell me, what's the name of your mom?
My mom? Yeah.
Her name was Linda. She passed away, but yeah.
I'm so sorry. It's okay.
My dad passed away, too. Oh, did he? What was his name?
Emilio. Emilio.
See, this isn't even part of the scene.
I just love that he loves to connect with everybody. He's been doing that
with everyone on set. What a great choice.
He's locked in on her eyes.
All right.
That was two in a row.
Okay. So, it is my turn. Okay.
Okay, now we're starting on the script.
I'm an open book, so shoot.
Okay. What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
No wrong answers.
Wait a second. You could have asked me anything in the entire world and you
went with cookies?
I thought we were supposed to be getting deep here.
Don't be a fool.
Your favorite cookie says more than you think.
All right.
It's molasses.
Interesting. Oh, no. What?
Molasses is a little bit spicy.
And while its edges may be crispy, at its center, it's so
total soft.
That's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked good.
Um... Now that is some chemistry right there.
Angel, forget about it.
If you're so smart, what cookie are you?
Ah, that's easy.
I'm a sugar cookie.
Practically impossible not to love.
Wow. Okay.
It's my turn for a question. I get the last one. Shoot. Is it better to give
Christmas gifts or to receive them?
To give them.
There's nothing better than giving someone a gift because you know that
they're going to love it.
Agreed.
Agreed. All right, well, I know that you're about to go home for Christmas.
Oh, my gosh, I'm going to miss you.
I'm going to miss you, too.
Promise me you're going to think of me. I will.
Cut! Angel!
Angel has so much raw emotion vibrating just underneath his surface that's just
able to be tapped into at a moment's notice. And he did it right then. He's
very in touch with it. Angel, that was amazing! Oh my gosh.
You got straight up emotional.
You were doing the chin quiver.
That was so impressive.
Thank you, Ashley.
I am so honored. That was incredible. I'm super impressed with you.
I think he was very intentional about how he physicalized it, like first the
hand, then he went there. I mean, give me an orange. I mean, I need a, I feel
like we need to open this up. That was so hot and steamy. I need some punch.
Coming up.
Last, this is a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet.
There's me.
Oh my gosh, where is it?
One of you will be going home tonight.
All right, let's do it. Hi, Marcus.
Hello, hello. Get over here.
Ashley, you good?
Yes, yes. All right, we've got this.
Woo, shake it out, shake it out. I'm right here.
Everybody's going to flirt a little bit differently. When I reach for your hand,
feel free just to give me one hand. Just one. Just one, yeah. Who needs two?
Yeah. Marcus.
Oh, that child. Cute, cute, cute.
I need a little drink. What is this, some lemonade?
Yeah, it's apparently lemonade with some crayon. For you.
Thank you. Whether it's, you know, the eye contact, or whether it's a little
bit of touching, whether it's just making the other person laugh.
You just winked at me, and I liked it.
Everybody's going to connect in a different way, so I wanted to bring some
of the ways I like to connect with people to the scene.
So we start, like, midway, halfway through it.
So, yeah, finish me off with something, anything, anything you're feeling. Like,
I just answered a question for you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And that is how we found my cab.
Well... You've asked me two questions in a row now. Okay.
So now it's my turn.
I'm an open book. Okay. Shoot.
So what is your favorite Christmas cookie? No wrong answers.
Take your time. Think about it. Wait a second.
You could have asked me anything in the entire world and you went with cookies.
I thought we were supposed to be getting deep.
Don't be fooled, okay? Your favorite Christmas cookie paints a much bigger
picture about who you are and you may think.
Wow.
All right. Well, it's molasses.
So what's your analysis?
Molasses is a no-frills kind of cookie. It doesn't need special icing or
sprinkles to stand out. It's perfect just the way it is.
And molasses is a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet.
It may be a little crispy around the edges, but at its center, it's a total
softie.
Oh, do you know anybody that sounds like that? I don't know if I do.
Sound like that?
Yeah, that is my entire personality summarized in a holiday baked good. Just
a little bit. Yeah, no, pretty much nail in the head. All right, if you're so
smart, if you were to be a cookie, what cookie would you be?
Oh, that's an easy one.
Really? I'm a sugar cookie.
Practically impossible not to move.
Is it better?
To give gifts or to receive them?
That's a good one. Is it?
No.
I don't think there's anything better than giving someone a gift that you know
they're going to love.
I agree.
So, I know we're going to spend Christmas apart because you and your
family have very special traditions.
Yeah. But I may have called them and they are okay to come out and spend
Christmas in my hometown.
if you are okay with that.
My family's gonna come for Christmas? Yeah. You guys are gonna all come and
spend it with me and my family. We haven't gotten to spend Christmas
together since my dad passed away.
I know.
Thank you.
And... cut!
What is this?
Wow, Marcus!
You just, like, clicked in and started going. You made it so easy. The eye
contact, the going back and forth. Oh, yeah. So amazing.
You got this, girl. It's time? Oh, you're up, dude. Bring it.
You got it, man. All right, fellas.
Ashley Williams, Hallmark icon, is ready to have the best scene you've ever had
in your life. Hello, Hallmark icon.
I know that this is a good opportunity for me to express more emotions, and I'm
going to do that with Ashley.
What I had in mind at the very tippy top, you're wanting to get deep.
It says in the script. Yep. So I can come from a real place. Yeah, yeah,
yeah. Maybe just what happened with your ex.
Ooh, okay.
That's okay to talk about on a date. Heck yeah. You know?
So you want to know. You want to get to know me.
So you ask me that. I'll give you my answer. And we roll.
Ooh. We've asked him to go there.
Well, it sounds like that was really hard.
I got you. I got you. Oh, thank you. Thank you so much.
So what happened there? Do you mind telling me about it? Yeah, yeah. It's no
problem. I mean, I'm fine now, but...
We broke up. Yeah.
But we still lived together.
Oh, that's awkward.
It was tough. So we just kind of tried to pretend that everything was the same,
and obviously it wasn't. Right.
And, you know, we just kind of had to pull the plug at some point. But, I
mean, silver linings.
You know, I wouldn't be here with you.
That's the silver lining. I'm happy to be here. Yeah, of course. Yeah.
Wow. Thank you for telling me that. I know that's not easy to talk about.
It's okay. Mm-hmm.
All right.
You asked me two in a row. It's my turn.
Okay.
Ready? Yeah, I'm an open book. So shoot.
Let's see. What is your favorite Christmas cookie? No wrong answers.
You could have literally asked me anything in the world and you went with
cookies. I thought we were supposed to be getting deep here.
I was throwing you some hard balls.
Hey, I mean, don't be fooled. You could learn a lot about someone by their
favorite Christmas cookie.
Okay. All right.
Well, it's molasses.
Molasses? Yeah. Yeah. What's your analysis?
I mean,
it's a little sweet. Yeah. It's a little spicy.
Yeah. You know, it's a little crispy. Yeah. But the inside, total softy.
Kind of sounds familiar, right? Yeah.
It's true. Bingo.
All right.
So, if you're so smart, what would your...
Holiday cookie bee. Me? Yeah. That's easy. I'm a sugar cookie all day.
You want to know why? Yeah.
I'm impossible not to love.
Yeah.
No, that's true.
Okay. I get the last question.
Okay.
Is it better to give gifts or receive them?
There's no better feeling than just...
giving someone a gift that you know they're gonna love, you know?
I totally agree.
Yeah.
Well, since we're not gonna spend Christmas together, um... We have a
little thing.
There's me!
Oh, my gosh, where is it?
Are you okay? It's gone now. Are you okay? Yeah, of course I'm okay. I didn't
even see it.
Was it on your head?
No, it just, like, came up and said hi and... The old... I feel like we're
watching someone's date and it feels a little wrong. Yeah.
And it whispered something in my ear.
You know what it whispered?
What did it say?
It said, go on the date. All right. Although we do like watching other
people's dates.
Oh, look at that. I feel like you're getting emotional.
I'm not emotional. I'm just... Okay.
Me neither.
And scene!
Cut!
So fun. Great job.
Thanks for protecting me from the bee.
I mean, that was like such a gift we got.
Honestly, the bee. I'm glad it didn't sting you because that wouldn't have
been a gift. No.
You know, it gave us life.
Yeah, it did. It gave us life. Yeah.
So that was fun.
Right now I'm on cloud nine.
All right, feel good. I guess I got to hit it then. You're done. Now you got to
go. Later, Ashley. I'll see you later on. Definitely.
How are you feeling, man? You'll be able to go through it in here.
It's another thing when you're out there.
Yeah. Thus far, it's been evident that Jonathan and Melissa...
I have liked a lot of bold choices in taking risks in scenes.
My plan is to do a 30-second or so monologue at the end of our scene.
Welcome, Davey. How are you? Good.
Nervous, but I'm good. It's the good kind of nerves. That's called
excitement, my friend.
How can I help you right now? At the end, I was going to do like a 30-second
monologue-ish.
Okay. Give or take.
Okay. Yeah.
Great. Great. That's a choice. I mean, the camera loves him.
Coming up.
I think you are the most amazing person that I've ever met.
Well, you guys gotta be good.
One of you will be going home tonight.
The scene sort of starts halfway through, you know? So is there anything
I can do to help you? Because we're sort of mid-scene. As a lead-in?
Yeah. Um, I don't think so. I could pick it up.
I'm okay just to start it. Great.
All right. I'm right here.
Okay. All right. Awesome.
All right, you've had a chance to ask me a couple questions in a row now.
Mm-hmm. I think it's my turn.
Okay, shoot.
What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
A Christmas cookie?
Mm-hmm. Wait a second.
You could have asked me anything in the whole world. You're asking me about
movies and cookies. I thought we were going to get deep.
That's the best way to get to know somebody.
You can tell a lot about somebody based on their favorite Christmas cookie.
What's he doing with his mouth?
Getting grapes out of it.
Okay.
Please don't eat any more grapes.
It's molasses.
Molasses? Yeah, what's your analysis?
Actually, you know what?
I can see that. That doesn't surprise me at all.
Really? Yeah.
Now that you mention it.
The thing is, about molasses cookies, they're perfect just the way they are.
You don't need any sprinkles. You don't need any frosting.
They're a little bit sweet.
Also a little bit spicy.
Mm-hmm.
That's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked good.
Was I... Does that sound kind of familiar?
Maybe. Okay.
If you're so smart, um... Don't eat any more grapes.
Don't eat any more grapes. What Christmas cookie would you be?
Hmm. I would say probably... a sugar cookie.
Oh, yeah.
They're simple, but everybody likes them, right?
Yeah.
Going home is going to be super bittersweet for me, I think. Oh, this is
Davey's monologue.
L.A., honestly, is moving so fast.
When I come back here and I'm with you, things just slow down, and it, I think,
just kind of reaffirms ultimately what I want in life. I want to settle down, and
I could use some of that molasses.
Me? Yeah.
That's sweet.
I would prefer to cancel my flight and spend the holidays with you if...
You'd like to have me.
And cut!
Perfect!
I'm hopeful that what I did in the scene and my monologue was enough to keep me
alive, but I'm feeling as uncertain as ever.
Yeah, I've never seen anyone eat so many grapes in a scene.
That is the boldest choice I've ever seen. That was the boldest choice.
He's stunningly handsome.
Like, distractingly so.
We saw you going... I was like... Totally.
Everyone brought it. And I'm sure Rustin and Davey are bringing it too. Oh, yeah.
I have no doubt.
So true.
Why you guys got to be good?
All right.
I made a picnic.
Oh, I love it.
I wanted to have two seconds with you if you wanted to do something with me. Is
that okay? Yeah. I just want to hold your hands. Okay. Look into your eyes
for like 10 seconds. Okay.
This is such a good actor trick. I've done it with my co-stars all the time
and it works.
Can't wait. You went to theater school.
That's Theater 101, connecting with your co-star. He did exactly what I would
have done.
This scene starts like halfway through. Do you want me to lead you in? Do you
want to just get going? I feel like I have a prompt at the top that I thought
would really lead us in. I'm so here for it. Are you cool with that?
Yes! Okay, great.
Yeah, and this food, you can eat any of it. Oh, great.
Don't... Well, you know, I don't know.
Wait, that's a really good question.
What?
Favorite Christmas tradition.
Yeah. My mom always gives us one Christmas present to open on Christmas
Eve. The night before.
Yes, me too.
And we used to always pretend we didn't know what it was, but it was matching
pajamas.
I love that.
And is there anything better than brand new pajamas when they're super soft?
Right, and you just feel so festive, you know? All right, you got to ask me two
questions in a row.
Now it's my turn. All right, I'm an open book.
Shoot.
What's your favorite Christmas cookie?
No wrong answers.
Wait.
You literally, you could have asked me anything.
Anything in the world and you went with cookies. Don't be fooled.
Well, I thought we were going deep here. No, no, no, don't be fooled. Your
favorite cookie says a lot more about you than you'd think. Really? Yeah,
yeah. Okay.
Suddenly it feels personal.
All right, my favorite cookie is molasses.
Molasses? Yeah, what's your analysis?
I don't know. What?
Of course. What?
It makes perfect sense. Oh, no, what?
Now, molasses is a no-frills cookie, you know? It doesn't need sprinkles or
frosting to stand out.
It's perfect just as it is.
Molasses is a little spicy, a little sweet.
I don't even know its edges. They're a little crispy.
And its core, it's totally soft, too.
Wow. You sound like someone you know.
Well, that's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked cookie.
All right, well, if you're so smart, what Christmas cookie are you?
Oh, that's easy.
Really? Sugar cookie.
That's way impossible not to love.
All right, I get the last question.
Shoot.
Is it better to give Christmas gifts or to receive them?
There's nothing better than giving someone a gift you know they're gonna
love.
I agree.
I think you are the most amazing person that I've ever met.
And cut!
Cut! So much fun.
I feel really good about how the scene went, and I just, I hope I did enough.
You get to hang out with us more, hopefully. I hope so.
We'll get to play a little more theater.
It would be awesome.
Thank you.
And also, come on, nice spread.
Right? I actually didn't do this.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Wow, you guys. We saw things from each of our guys that we have not seen in
this competition.
There was a lot of creativity and handsomeness to boot. Yes, there was a
lot of handsomeness right there. Yeah.
Let's talk about the guys who really stood out. Let's talk about Angel. I
think he did a great job.
I mean, he really had this moment before with you. How did that feel? There were
tears in his eyes. His chin was quivering, and I was like, whoa, like,
where is this going?
And I just got to hold on for the ride, which was really fun.
He understood the assignment, and he delivered.
Let's talk about Craig. Honestly, like, he showed up, he came to play, he
thought about it, he put his brain into it. He put his hand on his face, and he
looked in your eyes, and I watched you get lost in them for a second. And then
two seconds later, he made me laugh. Totally.
Craig did the perfect mix of heart and humor.
Now let's talk about the guys who didn't fully stand out.
Marcus, he started off a little, I wouldn't say in his stride. It did feel
a little bit like stiff, like a little bit planned. The problem is when you're
doing a scene and you're shooting a movie, we have to be correct and on our
mark from the beginning of the scene. So that is a problem.
And there's Davey. He had this preplanned monologue he wanted to give.
Instead of just saying, I'm just going to go with this. He stopped what was
happening to go with something he was thinking about that he wanted to do. He
wanted to get honest and vulnerable and intimate, which that speech did.
Let's talk about Rustin.
It felt like he was creating these little moments, these little hallmark
moments, whether they be comedic or emotional.
I felt that the lines felt a little more like, I'm hitting on you, other than I'm
falling in love with you, just for a second. I mean, there's no question that
Rustin is a fantastic actor. He knows what he's doing. The question is, is he
the next Mr. Christmas?
We have a big decision to make, because unfortunately, one of our guys has to go
home tonight.
I mean, I truly don't know what we're going to do.
I don't either. I'm going to bring the charcuterie board. I'm going to need to
eat our way through this. We have to emotionally eat. Yeah.
Going into this elimination, I am by far the most uncomfortable I've been since
I've been here.
I'm feeling the pressure amounting more and more and more. I feel like I'm
almost about to burst.
Hello, gentlemen.
Welcome to another elimination in this frosty wonderland.
In today's Star Quality Challenge, you performed in a classic Hallmark scene.
It was such an absolute pleasure getting to just sort of explore the scene with
you, have some charcuterie, and there's a lot of trust there, and I really
appreciate it. You guys, it felt like you were leveling each other up in a lot
of those moments, and it was really delightful to watch.
Only one of you will be tonight's shining star.
And that person gave us the perfect balance of romance, charm, comedy, and
authenticity. The recipe for a hallmark leading man.
The winner of this star quality challenge and tonight's shining star
is...
Craig.
Good job.
Good job.
Thank you. He looked so nervous. I was afraid he was going to pass out. Hey,
two in a row. Oh, my gosh, man. Yeah.
Good job, dude. Craig, you did something I think a Hallmark leading man is, and
that is finding the time to be flirty and finding the time to be funny. Today,
I saw a leading man, and I was so proud of you. It was wonderful to see.
That's really kind. Thank you.
But with a win comes a loss.
Marcus. Davey.
Will you please step down?
One of you will be going home tonight.
This is my first time being in the bottom, and it does not feel good.
Davey, you started your scene a little nervous, and you got distracted by the
props. It's important to keep your focus on your leading lady.
When you don't, the connection between you and your co-star suffers.
Marcus, you seemed shaky and a little inauthentic at times in the scene.
This made it hard for Ashley to connect with you in the beginning.
Unfortunately...
Davey,
it's time to take your stocking down. You're going home for the holidays.
I'm sorry, man.
I came here with one friend and I'm leaving with nine.
Sorry, man. We're so proud of you, bro.
Davey, your heart is bigger than your biceps.
And those are pretty big.
Congratulations, Davey, on making it this far. And we can't wait to see what
you do next.
Davey!
For me, this opportunity boiled down to making myself proud and doing something
that scares me for the sake of doing it. Even if it means taking a loss, you do
learn a lot more about your losses than you do your wins. And this is one that I
know that I'm definitely going to learn from.
This is the time to focus and shine.
We'll see you next time as the hunt for Mr. Christmas continues.
