Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas.
I guess I'm learning to ride a horse today.
Never go behind a horse, man.
Eight holiday hunks were still jingling all the way toward that hallmark leading
role. In the festive face-off, the guys built gingerbread houses that showed off
their Christmas spirit. These look awesome.
Then, in the star quality challenge... This is a cowboy Christmas.
They shared the screen with a hallmark superstar and a scene-stealing horse.
Real life cowboy on our hands.
Kind of in my blood.
Some hit their stride.
I don't rest till I get it. Is it hot in here or is it rusted?
While others stumbled.
Marcus delivered pure leading man energy.
Yee-haw! Look at you!
The one that has never been a horse before. Flawless. Congratulations.
But for Logan... You just want to grab your reins?
He missed a lot of the lines.
It was the end of the road. Take your stocking down. You're going home for the
holidays. Now, seven hunks remain as we continue the search to find Mr.
Christmas.
How do you feel about last night? That was something.
Seeing Logan and Gabe.
On the bottom two I'm just gonna make all of these.
Oh, you're making eggs Craig the egg. That's what they call me I guess I'm not
eating breakfast today. Then if you're doing it, okay, I Didn't I was gonna
make for six anyway. Okay, perfect We were saying We were talking about
You know last night second time down there and you survived both times
Congrats, how you feeling?
Well, I feel grateful that I'm still here.
You deserve to be here, man. Yeah.
It is a new day, and I'm going to give it my all like I have every time, but it
takes a little bit to feel good again after a rejection.
Like, it's not like, if I didn't want this, then... You mean you're a human
being? Yeah. Oh, wow.
There's only seven of us left, and the competition is getting tougher and
tougher. I have something to prove.
I just got to stay focused and keep going.
I'm just happy to be here with you guys. I'm glad that I get to wake up and...
Talk to you guys after a tough night like that. We believe in you. Thanks,
man. Appreciate you.
100%. I can tell Gabe has what it takes to be successful in this career.
His charm, his smile, his dimples, his energy, and I want him to shine.
Look at this. Look at this hearty breakfast.
Oh, I got it. There you go, guys.
It looks excellent, so. This looks excellent, man.
Has everyone here won?
A festive face-off? I have not. I haven't.
But who's like won something?
Almost everybody here.
I haven't won anything.
You've won our hearts. You're winning by being here.
Let's go find him. Let's go find him.
Where are they?
It's time for another festive face-off. And whatever it is, I am ready to take
it because...
It is time for me to win. Come on down, boys.
Oh, my God. What in the world?
I'm hoping to make this three festive face-off wins in a row.
Hey, guys. Hey.
Seven of you remain in the game as the competition is heating up like chestnuts
on an open fire. And let me tell you, that's hot.
While you're all incredibly talented, only one of you will walk out of here
with a leading role in a Hallmark holiday movie and be crowned Mr.
Christmas. Yeah!
In today's festive face-off, you'll be slipping like a baby reindeer on ice.
Here's how it's gonna snow down.
Starting at the top of this icy hill, you'll dash down this slippery mountain
like a runaway train, grab your candy cane, and run up the slope like you're
racing towards the North Pole. And repeat this pattern three times.
Ugh. Each of you has your own color candy cane. That's the only color you
can use.
The first hunk to get all three of their candy canes into that giant mug and ring
the bell wins.
I absolutely need to win this. I could use any advantage I can get.
Before you slip, slide, and slay the Frosty Hill, I need to bring out the
peppermint stick to my hot cocoa. Please welcome the one and only Melissa
Peterman.
Oh, my gosh. I've been waiting behind that tree since 5 a.m. because I'm so
excited for this one.
All right, guys. Go and get changed. I'll see you back here, ready to slide
all the way.
Let's go. Let's hustle. Go, go, go.
Come on.
Jonathan, man, you're my guy, but these challenges, dude, like, you better watch
your back. You're in for it.
There's going to be some payback coming your way.
Let's do this.
You guys ready?
Oh, yeah.
Watch out, don't slip down. It's already slippery.
Like, is this gonna be dangerous?
Are you guys ready to start? Because I am running on candy canes and excitement
right now!
So for this challenge, we have to run all the way down to one side of the
hill, grab our candy cane, and then run back up the other steeper side in order
to put it inside a tin cup. Whoever gets all three of their candy canes in the
cup first wins.
Oh no!
Maybe low center of gravity and trying to crawl up the hill might help me out.
I was a sprinter in high school, so I know speed and endurance are going to
matter the most in this festive face-off. Here comes Gabriel!
Here comes Gabriel!
This is very slippery and very steep. I need to get as much momentum as I can to
get back to the top. To the top! Oh, my gosh!
Gabriel's got one in! There goes Angel.
I think my soccer skills are going to come into place.
It's all about speed and sliding.
Oh! All right, that's Angel.
Angel's got one in.
Okay,
Gabriel just wiped out. Gabe, are you okay?
Oh, my God, I'm tired.
You guys, you're machines.
You can do this.
I'm making zero progress.
Dude, there's no way.
I can't figure out what to do. Come on, Marcus. It's very tiring.
Let's go. Oh, no.
How did you guys get up there so hard?
This is going to be hard.
Speed's going to come into play.
I weigh a lot more than almost every single guy. No!
They might have more stamina. You know, I don't do a lot of cardio.
Oh, my.
How did you get?
Mayday, mayday. A lot harder than it looks. And I just feel myself slipping
backwards. Robbie!
Robbie, you got this. You got this.
And my dreams of winning that third festive face-off are also slipping away.
Dang.
You okay? You okay? Yeah.
Come on, Rustin! Come on, Rustin! You got this!
Oh!
What the heck, dude?
Are you kidding me?
This is not a good strategy.
I'm going to have to go as fast as I can in order to be able to catch up.
I'm tired.
I have my second candy caning hand. I'm going to run really fast and make it to
the top. Here we go.
And I'm gassed.
I'm exhausted.
After watching Gabe, light bulb went off. You can't crawl on this. You have
to just run right through.
Craig's got one in.
Davey has one.
Angel has one. Craig has one. Gabe has two. Does anyone need a hug?
Does anyone?
I could use a hug.
Okay, let's wait till you're changed.
Angel dropped a candy cane. I know I have the lead.
I'm just trying to recharge and regain some of my energy before I charge back
up this mountain for the last time. All right, here comes Robbie.
Come on, Robbie. Come on, Robbie.
Robbie. I am completely winded.
Here comes Craig.
Okay, Craig.
Come on, Craig. Oh, my gosh. Craig.
Craig, that's two.
Now, I just need one more.
I think I'm going to throw up. You got harder.
I notice Gabe doesn't have more energy.
This is my chance to get the win.
Maybe if you take off your shirts, it'll be more aerodynamic. Here comes Angel.
Here comes Angel.
Angel's got two in. Gabe has two. Angel has two.
Craig's got two.
They each need one more.
The next one to get one in wins.
Does Angel just have to get this one right here?
Thankfully, my other candy cane that I dropped earlier is already there.
I don't have to run back. This could be for the win.
Reaching, and I see Gabe behind me making it to the top.
Oh, my God.
Angel just got three in.
Angel is our winner. Congratulations.
Every time a bell rings, Angel gets his win.
Is this for real? Can someone pinch me?
Good job, dude.
We and the guys give each other the eye. Oh, my gosh.
We're going to give Jonathan a taste of his own medicine.
How's it going?
You good?
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
So sorry I put you through that.
This was a nail-biter, but Angel, congratulations, Angel.
As the winner of the festive face-off, you will be getting an advantage, which
I will reveal at the Star Quality Challenge.
I cannot wait to find out what this advantage is.
Oh, and did I not mention, you all will be performing as a contestant in the Mr.
Christmas pageant.
That's right. It's your next star quality challenge.
That means each of you needs a talent to perform at the pageant. I'm a personal
trainer and model.
Okay. What the heck is my talent going to be?
Hit the showers, boys.
That was...
so much more exhausting and so much harder than I could have ever imagined.
I was like, if I die trying, I will die trying.
It paid off. That's the right attitude.
That's great, man. That's great.
I think it's interesting that we're going to all have to do this Mr.
Christmas pageant.
I was originally thinking, like, throw a football at targets, but, like, it feels
kind of lame. My head automatically goes towards doing something active.
I don't know what else I would do, you know?
Obviously, my first thought is to sing, so I'm probably going to sing something.
It's hard to not be jealous of certain guys like Rustin where you know exactly
what their talent is probably going to be.
You're probably going to bring it. I'm certainly going to do my best.
My whole family was actually in a Christian ministry band that toured
around Arizona.
I sang, and my brother played the drums, and my mom sang, and I played the bass
guitar, and my sister sang with us. We were like the Christian Partridge
family. I'm a little scared. I don't know if I can think of a talent that is
going to be worthy to stand up to you guys, so hopefully I can figure
something out.
Coming up... What's going on here?
Welcome to Marcus's Magical Touch.
I'm getting kind of warm.
Oh, my God.
You are so composed since day one when I walked in and we started chatting.
Thanks, man.
My life has been such an interesting example of taking those moments that you
have that are maybe difficult or tragic and overcoming them.
I've been in some gnarly car wrecks, but the last time I went down on a
motorcycle, I hit the ground at 90 miles an hour.
Yeah, that's insane.
And I slid for about 200 yards across all of the lanes and didn't get run
over.
And to this day, I don't understand, but I'm as thankful as you could possibly
imagine to be here.
I think I have a significant appreciation for life for all the close
calls that I've had. I think at this point in my life, I feel confidence and
comfortability with who I am.
It blew out my knee, it blew out my ankle, it blew out my shoulder, slipped
discs in my back.
I struggled with basic stuff, you know, like walking, running.
I'm so thankful to come out the other side of it with like the capabilities
that I have and the knowledge that I have from learning from those
experiences. It just, I feel like...
I can take on anything.
But it's one of the reasons that I value and appreciate all these opportunities
that we have.
You can't take that for granted.
Rustin has always been so confident and unshakable in big moments.
I think the best impetus to reach success is having setbacks.
But if you focus on the things that you have as strengths, you focus on the
things that you can accomplish, you focus on the things that you do have to
offer, those are the things that are going to show up. And that's what I'm
focusing on.
I honestly have no idea what Jonathan has in store for us, you know?
It's always a surprise.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Guys, what's that?
Look at that.
Wait, wait, wait, they're pageant sashes.
We also have this, guys.
What's it say?
Read it.
Mr. Christmas.
That's me.
Oh, it's for me.
After your uphill dashes, here are your sashes.
See you at your next star quality challenge.
Sincerely, Jonathan.
You guys ready to cruise? Action time.
Ready? Let's do this thing, guys. Let's do this thing. Does this sash go with my
outfit?
Oh, here we are, guys.
Here we are. This is it.
Let's do this thing, guys. Let's go, let's go, let's go.
We got this.
There's a lot of people here. The intensity of this challenge just level
up. Come on in.
Welcome to the Tinseltown Theater.
Guys, say hello to your audience.
This is your next star quality challenge.
The stage of the competition where you get to show off and show us your talent
and pageantry.
This is the Mr.
Talent Pageant.
In pageant fashion, you'll be asked some hard-hitting hunk questions into what
makes you authentic and a true leading man.
And those will be coming from our special guest judges and Hallmark
superfans, Gail and Alicia.
You might recognize Gail and Alicia from the Hallmark show, Christmas at Sea. If
anybody knows what makes a Hallmark leading man, it's a Hallmark super fan.
Our fans' opinions are super important to us, and their voice matters. That's
why we're so happy that they're here. And today, they're going to be very
essential to you.
They, along with Melissa, myself, and your guest judges, will be deciding your
fate and voting on the winner of the Star Quality Challenge.
To be successful in this challenge, we're going to really have to connect
with the audience through our performances.
I'm a rock singer. That's right in my wheelhouse.
Gentlemen, you'll be judged on originality, showmanship, and of course,
star quality.
Let's get this show started, shall we?
Craig, why don't you stay up here with me? The rest of you guys go take your
seats. I know that this is a good opportunity for me to bring some wit and
some humor into this.
First up is Craig!
It's showtime.
Oh, my
gosh. What's going on here?
This is a song I wrote. It's called I Am Mr.
Christmas. DJ, spin it!
There we go, yup. Clap your hands for the beat, everybody.
Hey, yup, that's it.
Uh-huh.
I am so cold looking back to Jackie. Like a tennis player because I'm back
with a racket. All this charisma, I do not lack it. These bars are a gift. You
can say that I wrapped it and signed it at the bottom of the card.
You already know I go hard.
He's working the crowd.
He's looking really cool.
Let me hear you say Mr.
Mr. Say Christmas.
Christmas. It's definitely showing personality.
Say Mr.
Mr. Christmas.
Christmas. That's me.
Yeah!
I bet you didn't think you'd see a rapping Santa Claus today, did you? No.
And now, Craig, it's time for the questions from the super fans.
So that was quite unique, what you did.
But what other unique?
quality or trait would you bring to the Hallmark family?
I think I can bring a lot of different traits to the Hallmark family.
I'm in touch with my emotions.
You might not see that from, you know, the jokes and the rapping up here on
stage.
But I think it's incredibly important for a leading man to be able to go
through all of his emotions, you know, be vulnerable out there and let people
see who he truly is.
I think that I can bring that to the Hallmark family.
Welcome to Marcus's Magical Touch.
So today, I'm going to be showing a little card trick.
But first, I'm going to need an assistant to come up on stage with me.
Oh, ooh, right here in the white with the bow on your chest. Come on up. Come
on up.
Yes, come on up. Come on. Come on. This is my first time actually performing
this for a crowd of people on a stage.
And you don't know how the person that you bring up onto the stage is going to
react. The trick can go wrong.
Lovely assistant, can you please tell me your name?
Brooke. OK, Brooke. So you're going to need this right here. This is for you,
Brooke. There we go.
Okay, now Brooke, choose a card.
Okay, don't tell me what it is. Make sure you choose the right card. Don't
choose the wrong one.
Gently put it right back in. Let me know when you have it back in there, Brooke.
All right, Brooke, which row is your card in?
This row. This row right here. Okay, so we're going to go ahead and scoop these
cards right back up. I was helping him practice for his talent the night
before, and he wasn't getting it right. In front of a live crowd, you get one
shot and one shot only. So, Marcus.
I hope you nailed this.
And here. Okay, Brooke.
So the last time, where is your card at? Which row is it in?
It's in this row. It's in this row now. Ooh.
Now we're going to pick all these cards up. We are going to lay these cards out.
I'm just hoping the talent is interesting enough that everybody in the
crowd is really invested on whether or not I'm going to be able to pull it off.
Please pick one of the piles for me.
Ooh, you want this one, okay.
Let's get rid of all of these.
She wants that one, ladies and gentlemen. She wants that one.
Please, pick two more cards for me. Pick this one and this one. Ooh, we'll see
you guys later.
Ooh, we're down to two cards, everybody.
We're down to two.
Ladies and gentlemen, do you think one of these cards is her card?
Yeah? Okay.
I am sitting on the edge of my seat, just, like, hoping and praying that
Marcus is going to be able to pull this trick off. All right, Brooke.
Was this the card?
Coming up. Hey, everyone.
I have been on stage before.
I have never done this on a stage.
Bachata.
Let's go.
Oh,
I'm getting it.
I'm going to fix this one.
Okay, everybody.
Let's see here.
Was this the card?
The book toe.
Everybody, please, give it up for Brooke. Give it up for Brooke.
She did amazing.
Marcus, we have some questions for you. Hello, lovelies. Hello.
So, you just won the lottery.
Who are you calling first?
If I just won the lottery, I'm 100% giving my mom a call.
It would be a dream to take care of my mom, make sure that she never has to
worry about anything for the rest of her life.
Thank you.
I'm extremely relieved. I got the trick done. I did it right.
I'm really hoping that was enough to win them over.
Go get them.
I have been on stage before.
I have never done this on a stage.
You're killing it. Thanks. And I think that this is either going to go really
great or really bad.
Give it up for Robbie!
Hey, everyone!
Robbie!
Can we just talk about eggnog?
It tastes like milk lost a dare with alcoholic pancake batter.
Okay? Another one of my favorite holiday traditions is the food, right? In
November, I'm finding Mr. Christmas.
But by January, I'm finding my elastic waistband.
No,
but I am honored to be here with Jonathan Bennett.
In Mean Girls, Jonathan was the high school heartthrob.
On Hallmark, he's more like the high school principal.
Boom!
Right, right, right?
Christmas, it's not about the trees. It's not about the eggnog. It's about
family. It's about togetherness.
And learning that if Jonathan Bennett can make it on Hallmark, anything is
possible.
I feel so good.
They say the best form of flattery is to be roasted. And so thank you, Robbie.
This is one of the coolest experiences of my life. Alicia, do you have a
question for Robbie? Okay, so when you think about your life, what's one thing
that you would like to redo if you had an opportunity to?
About 10 years ago, my mom had a heart attack, and I spoke to her on the phone,
and she said it was a minor heart attack and it wasn't a big deal. And so she
said, don't come home. And I thought, best thing I can do for her is honor her
wishes. I'm not going to go home.
About a week later, she had a stroke and was in a coma and never woke up. And so
I never got that chance to see her or be with her or say goodbye.
So if I could go back and redo anything, I would go home the second that
happened. It's something I think about far too often.
Yeah. When you go through something like losing a parent, it's so much easier to
just bury those feelings away.
Thank you. I found in my life that talking about these things, it's healing
for yourself, but it is healing for more people than you can ever fathom.
And now, give it up for Rustin!
Hey, how's it going?
What is up? Are you all having a good time today?
So, I'm going to sing a song for you all about how it felt to meet my wife for
the first time.
Aww.
One look and I'm drawn in One word
I've been with my wife, Lindsay, since December of 2016, and we actually met in
a chocolate shop. She walked in. I was stunned. I said, you look adorable.
We went on a date the next day, and after that date, I said, I'm in love
with her. I'm going to marry her.
And it's proven in the silence And it's known
if we really had to We could do it on our own
He is absolutely amazing.
He is so naturally gifted.
So in Hallmark, a lot of the movies, you know, they've gone through some sort of
adversity. Can you tell me a time when you had to go through some sort of
adversity? And how did you feel?
I've been in quite a few accidents that have caused a lot of physical harm. And
I think that the number one thing that I've found through all of it is that I
was alive on the other side.
I was here. I had something that I could look at as something that I had
overcome.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Be yourself and have fun.
Please welcome to the stage, Angel!
Hello,
everybody! Hola!
Whenever I have a lot of eyes on me, I hear, in the silence, judgment.
I put a lot of pressure on myself to not disappoint people.
I grew up dancing Latin music, and it would be my honor to share some of that
culture, love, happiness, and passion with all of you today. So I will be
dancing bachata.
I would like to have a volunteer come up.
You on the plaid, yes!
Come up!
Salsa, merengue, and bachata.
have shaped me into being outgoing, confident.
What is your name?
Kelly. Kelly. Let's get the jitter sound.
So shake your right hand, your left hand. You can just go, ah!
There we go.
This type of Latin dance brings a lot of joy and happiness to me, and I want to
share this experience with the crowd.
It's such a joy to dance.
Give it up for Angel!
Gayle. So every Hallmark superfan knows that the leading man always does
something to make the town better. What is something that you can do to make the
world better?
I would love to inspire by just being myself.
Coming to this country, not knowing any English, going through people that bully
me, put me down.
I never let that determine who I wanted to become.
I want to be the example.
Thank you.
Angel just keeps delivering that heart, that charm.
He's probably my biggest competitor.
Coming to the stage next, Gabriel!
Doing this pageant is actually my worst nightmare.
I get really nervous in front of crowds.
I will be doing something very important to me, and that's a puzzle cube.
Coming up. Are you getting warmed up? Yes.
I'm getting kind of warm.
I might need to sit down.
What?
One of you will be going home right now.
Oh. Oh.
So today.
I will be doing something very important to me, and that's a puzzle cube.
Wall balancing on a balance board.
Interesting. It's like an unconventional talent.
So I need you guys to make some noise for me while I do this.
Here we go.
I chose the puzzle cube because it has a lot of meaning in the growth I've had as
a person.
Oops.
As a kid, the first time I tried to do a puzzle cube, it took me two hours to
figure out how to do it. And because of my perseverance, I was able to get that
time down to 40 seconds.
We believe in you.
Oh, I'm getting it.
I've spent all of my life thinking that I wasn't capable of great things. And
the puzzle cube reminded me that if I just put my mind to something, I can
really do anything.
Great job, Gabe. Thank you. Great job.
If you had to think about your life, what would you tell your younger self?
What would be the message?
You have nothing to worry about.
All you have to do is believe in yourself and everything will happen,
like what I just did here.
Good job.
And for your final hunk coming to the stage, give it up for Davey!
Today I'm going to be taking somebody through a few holiday-inspired
exercises. So I'm going to need a volunteer from the audience.
No, Melissa, no, Melissa, you can't volunteer.
So let's go right here.
Give it up for her! I've taught a million group fitness classes over the
years, so I feel like that's kind of the energy that I'm going to need to embody.
What's your name? Andrea.
We have Andrea here.
Have fun, Andrea.
I want you to demonstrate this first exercise for me firmly.
Plant your foot up on the box just like that. As you step up, go ahead and grab
onto that for me. And I want you to reach that right up top here. Big reach.
Step. Excellent.
It's getting kind of hot in here. Are you getting warmed up? Yes.
I'm getting kind of warm.
Oh, my.
Oh, my gosh.
Those aren't even shorts. They're the idea of shorts.
I'm not typically the type of guy to just show off a lot of skin all the
time, but I figured in this case it probably was going to pay off. This next
exercise is a squat, all right? I want you to hold on to this.
That gift might be kind of heavy, right? Nice and low with me. Ready?
Get down there. Yeah!
I'm a married woman.
I have an adult son. Oh, wow.
She looks good. And again, back up. Nice.
She's so good. I want to throw one more at you. Is that okay? Okay. We're going
to get down on all fours really quick, okay?
Get up like that. Oh!
Oh!
And then we'll add that little twist at the end, okay?
Ready?
I'm just kidding. Give it up for her.
He understood the assignment.
I believe the person to be based on the crowd reaction is David.
I mean, he nailed it. Jonathan, I need a minute.
You and me both, Gil.
OK, what is your ideal Christmas morning?
Growing up, my ideal Christmas morning was opening presents, because that was
the best part, right?
Now I'm a dad, and it's become less about the tradition of the gifts on
Christmas morning and more about my son and our new family being together in the
same room.
Thank you all for being here. I know it was really hard work watching all these
fantastic men in perfect lighting perform for you.
Don't forget to drop your votes into your favorite guy's ballot box on the
way out. Good night, everybody. Thank you so much.
Go vote, everybody.
Go vote.
I'm kind of at a loss to see who's going to win. Like, everybody did so good.
I just hope that I did enough to make it through another elimination.
How do you guys feel?
That was so much fun.
Now, there's one more piece of business we have to discuss.
We haven't revealed the advantage yet for Angel. That's right.
Angel, you won the festive face-off, and you will receive immunity in tonight's
elimination.
Here's the thing.
You have the power to keep it for yourself, or you can give it to one of
your fellow guys who you think might be in jeopardy at going home.
The choice will be yours.
Think about what you want to do, and I'll see you all at elimination.
There's so many ways this can go wrong.
It's a pressure I don't want.
Thank you, but no thank you.
Angel with the immunity.
Yeah, Angel, that's got to feel good, but also kind of could be uncomfortable.
Yeah, man, I have a lot to think about. All right, ladies, we can't wait to hear
what you thought.
Now, let's talk about Who Shined, the shirtless performance from Davey.
How are you feeling? You OK, Gail? Yeah, my heart is back to normal rhythm.
You recovered from Davey? Yes. Of course, personal training and the act
and all that, that was great. What about his answers? He was confident, even
though he didn't go into great details about some things, but I was like, I get
it. I connected with him. Then we have Rustin, who sang for us.
I mean, can we?
I mean.
Hallmark, here we come. Yes. Because, again, those emotions, connecting with
that. And he was not afraid to show that. Make it normal for men to show
emotions. Like, that's a wonderful thing.
I just wish he brought that same openness to the answer of his question.
He was a little bit hesitant.
That was the first time, I think, in this competition that I saw a crack in
Rustin's armor. Yeah. And then we have Robbie, who gave us comedy.
I'll just say it first. Stand-up is hard. So for me, I'm giving him giant,
giant props for a big swing. And I thought he did great. Yeah.
And his jokes were funny. What did you think of his Jonathan Bennett jokes? He
roasted you a little bit. How'd you feel?
When someone roasts you, it is the biggest compliment and the biggest form
of flattery, and I love it. What about his answer? He answered the best.
We talked about his mom, you know, and her situation.
That touched my heart.
And let's talk about who struggled.
Craig, he gave us that rap.
that he wrote from scratch.
A lot of confidence to come out and write this rap and share it with us. We
were tapping under the table. I said, oh, and he has a little rhythm going
with it. It was flowing very nicely.
I think kind of when we got to the questions, though, you know, he was a
little hesitant. He did not really answer the question. He kind of skated
around. I want to see more of the heartfelt part of Craig. So it's
interesting that that's what you guys sort of keyed in a little bit, too.
Then we have Gabriel.
This is Mr. Christmas.
I need that personality to shine before anything else. And I just wasn't seeing
it. It's like it was more in his head than here. I was worried the whole time
that he was doing his act that he was going to fall. Yes. And as an audience
member, I don't want to be uncomfortable when I'm watching that. I don't want to
be nervous. I want to feel like I'm being taken care of. Exactly.
This is a tough decision, but we have to make it.
Yeah.
Walking into tonight's elimination, I'm nervous.
The results are in the hands of the superfans and the audience members, not
just Melissa and Jonathan.
That's a complete wild card. Hello, gentlemen.
Welcome back to another elimination, where you will find out which one of you
will be today's shining star and which one of you will be going home for the
holidays. Guys, we asked you to show us your talents today.
We were looking for originality, showmanship...
vulnerability, and all around star quality.
That's why we had two of our biggest superfans asking you questions that
would show them what kind of leading man you would make.
Alicia, Gail, you were sitting front and center. How do you think the guys did
today? You guys did a wonderful job expressing yourselves in a variety of
different ways.
Saw a lot of hallmark star qualities, so I'm just as nervous as they are.
Before we go any further, we do have to talk about...
The angel in the room.
I've been struggling with this.
Will you be keeping the immunity for yourself or will you be gifting it to
one of your guys?
There's a voice in me that's telling me Mr. Christmas is not selfish.
The person that I choose to have this immunity is Robin.
Roby talking about the death of his mom really triggered my late father.
I know your parents are proud.
Thank you. I love you. I love you too.
Thank you.
Angel, I know this was a tough decision for you, but the fact that you gave it
away and didn't keep it for yourself is what being a Hallmark leading man is all
about. It is a true leading man move.
But, oh man, I hope it doesn't backfire.
Now let's talk about a few standout performances.
Davey, you really woke up the fans today.
You gave a literal clinic on how to entertain on that stage.
That's leading man quality right there.
Oh, thank you.
Rustin, you did your original song, and the fans were brought to a beautiful
place from it. Thank you. I appreciate that. There can only be one shining
star. And today, that person took a huge risk.
answered the superfan questions with raw emotion, and received the most votes
from the audience.
The winner of this star quality challenge and tonight's shining star
is...
Robbie, congratulations.
Sometimes immunity is just not needed. Robbie, you were so brave today, and the
audience agreed.
You touched a lot of people, and we appreciate that.
And you took a huge risk making fun of the host on the show that you are on
where he is a judge.
Sorry about all the things I said about you, but maybe I'm not.
Now, the hard part. I could be going home.
What have I done?
Gabe, Craig, will you please step forward?
All right, let's do this.
Gabe, we've been asking you to believe in yourself, and today we saw a glimpse
of it, which is progress.
But you still seem in your head a little bit and not in the moment.
Craig, you have this confidence that is undeniable, but it almost feels like
you're hiding behind it.
You weren't really comfortable answering in a very authentic, real way.
Gabe, Craig, one of you will be going home right now.
Gabe, it's time to take your stocking down. You're going home for the
holidays.
You're a star. I believe it. We believe it. We just want you to believe it. The
only competition in your way is you.
And once you conquer that, the sky's the limit.
Gabe, thank you so much.
We can't wait to see what you do next.
I'm disappointed that I didn't get my confidence quick enough to stay in this
competition. I feel like I'm on the
right track now, though.
The time is now to face any fears and go for it. Trust yourselves and take some
leaps. I promise you it'll be worth it. We'll see you next time as the hunt for
Mr. Christmas continues.
I'm feeling such a sense of relief, but it still worries me Jonathan isn't
seeing my depth or vulnerability.
I need to find those other layers or I'm going home.
