Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas, seven of you are still standing, but
only one of you will walk out of here with a lead role in a Hallmark movie.
You will be learning a scene and delivering it all while ice skating. We
tested their acting skills and star quality. I don't know if it's the nerves
or you making my knees wobble. I haven't been this excited for a date in a really
long time.
My sleep done. Yes.
Tonight's shining star, Elijah.
But what they didn't know is we were also testing their heart and kindness.
You need some help, man? And you all passed, except Gage.
I'm right behind you. Don't you worry.
Gage, take your stocking down. You're going home for the holidays.
Six leading men remain as we continue the hunt for Mr. Christmas.
Hey, good morning. What's up, boys? It's crazy. Just six left.
It's definitely going to be different without Gajer. Yeah, for sure.
Weird. It's weird. So standing there like on the elimination chopping block
next to him is as real as it gets.
Ezra, but I still don't know quite yet who you are. Being that close to
elimination, I feel like it woke me up. I got to step up the game or I'm going
to go home.
I think we all feel this way, but the longer time we get to spend with each
other, the harder it is to see one of us go. Like you're truly losing a brother
at this point.
Oh, y'all know what that means.
I say we go find John. Let's go.
Best to face off.
We head outside and there's this huge obstacle course in the front yard.
Like, what are we doing here?
Hey, guys. Welcome to another day in Hallmark Paradise.
Six of you remain in the game, but only one of you will walk out of here with a
leading role in an original Hallmark holiday movie.
Every one of these guys is a contender for Mr. Christmas, but my goal is to
make it to the end and win.
In this face-off, you're going to be competing in an obstacle course.
While carrying a Christmas tree that you have just cut down yourself.
In order to get your saw to saw down your tree, you're going to need to get
that saw out of a giant block of ice.
Once you have your saw, you'll run from the tree farm and cut down a Christmas
tree above the red ribbon.
You know...
As a Hallmark leading man, if my girlfriend asks me to cut down a tree, I
gotta be able to, you know, hack down a Christmas tree and throw it over my
shoulder and bring it into the house.
With Christmas tree in hand, you're gonna have to carefully walk the plank.
Go too fast and lose your balance.
You'll have to go back to the beginning and cross the planks all over again.
There will be twists and turns along the way, but I'll walk you through those
when you get to them.
The first guy to get his tree in its stand and top it with a star will be a
winner and get an advantage in the next star quality challenge.
Done plenty of these in workouts throughout the years and in football, so
finally something I feel like I can thrive in.
Before we get going, I have to bring out someone that I have comedic chemistry
with. That was good. Melissa Peterman!
Hey, hey!
Let the puns begin.
Let's get to the starting line. Oh, yeah.
Being a great track athlete, I have so much experience out the block, so it was
definitely an opportunity for me to show my athletic ability and everything that
I'm bringing to this competition.
Melissa Peterman here reporting live from Yuletide Yard. And also joining us
today are some Hallmark super fans.
Back to you, Melissa.
Back to you, Jonathan.
Three, two.
I'm about to smoke these boys.
I hammer the ice block. I get it in like one or two swings. Grab the
saw.
I slip.
Just literally face plant into a tree. Try to play it off. Look smooth like it
didn't happen.
I run over to the closest tree that I could find, and I get to cutting.
I'm about halfway through the base of the tree, and then I just kind of snap
it in half.
Elijah's already got a tree down.
Ooh, Blake's got his tree down, too.
I am the last one to chop my block, and so basically that put me at a
disadvantage in terms of picking a tree.
I just get the saw going, and luckily it came down pretty quick.
Ezra's got a tree. Ezra's got a tree.
Elijah slips off the balance beam. I'm now taking first place.
I had chosen a tree that might have been double the size of anyone else's.
And here's where it gets even harder.
Ezra and Blake have gotten a little bit of a lead on me.
He's as fast as Santa going down the chimney.
Elijah's having trouble going through the lights.
Blake and Ezra are neck and neck and must now do their best reindeer
imitation and pull Santa's very heavy sleigh more than 30 feet to get to their
next obstacle.
I got no grip.
Okay, Blake is struggling.
I have my boots on and they have no tread.
Ezra is a first to finish Santa's sleigh pole.
How did Ezra get that far ahead?
It's time to show the judges how much I really want this.
Oh, wow! Look at Ezra go!
Somewhere inside this tub of fresh Christmas snow is the perfect tree
topper. Hayden is still sawing down his tree.
We're even halfway through.
I'm right here in the forest with Jonathan.
There's movement happening.
Don't give up. That's what a hallmark leading man has got to fight through.
All right.
Parker is getting through the light maze. Parker, you still got a chance.
Come on.
Everybody else is grabbing their belt and putting it on and trying to go chest
first. And I realize that if I do a sled pull and just start walking backwards,
this might actually be to my advantage.
Still can't get any traction.
And then I realized Parker, he has cowboy boots on too.
He's using his heel of his boot to get traction, and he's going backwards. So I
immediately switch.
I want hocus!
And no hocus, no pocus, all focus!
They're pretty athletic guys, and they seem to be breathing quite heavily.
Parker is gaining ground on Ezra, who is still looking for his Christmas tree
topper. I'm like, where is this dog? All right, Parker's got his tree. He's
headed over. He's looking for the snow. Come on, Parker, get that tree topper.
Where is it, Parker?
Ezra finally found his Christmas tree topper.
All Ezra has to do is set up his tree, put his star on top, and he will win.
I'm trying to look for this star top to put on my tree, and I inhale a
massive amount of snow.
Here comes Parker. He is coming around the bend. It is crazy.
Come on, Ezra, get that topper on. Ezra's almost got it, almost got it.
Ezra is our winner!
Wow.
Don't know if I can go halfway.
Oh,
that sucks.
Congratulations!
The star is just sparkling in the sun.
I did it. I'm the winner of this challenge, and bring on the advantage.
As the winner in this festive face-off, you are going to get to pick the order
in which these guys perform in the talent show.
Oh, did I not mention that? You better start rehearsing. Today is not my day.
Congratulations,
dude. Appreciate you guys. Now you get to pick the order of the talent show
coming up. What are y'all planning on doing for your talent?
I don't sing or play an instrument.
You could be a model.
Like, modeling's a talent.
Well, we did that. We did a runway.
We did a photo shoot. Right. I know what your talent is.
What? Dad jokes.
Yeah. Got him.
Boys, I'm gonna tell you right now. I love you. I love you all.
But I'm not telling y'all my talent. No?
It's a competition, man. We gotta, you know. Okay, cool.
I'm pretty excited about this challenge. The talent I'm doing is something that
I'm very familiar with.
And I'm not going to have to stay up half the night rehearsing like some of
the other guys. This is Blake's talent right here. They're going to bring in a
super fan.
He's going to use them pickup lines on him real quick. You never know. You
never know.
We got a pretty big talent show and competition today. Yes, we do. How are y
'all feeling about it? It doesn't get more real than what I'm going to do
today. Ezra, how you feeling, bro? How you feeling this morning? Oh, man, time
to rock.
I'm proud of myself.
Feels like a little bit of pressure has been taken off.
Let's go.
I'm so pumped.
I rehearsed a couple of times last night without the boys seeing.
I got a feeling I can really put it to them today.
This. is Finding Mr.
Talon.
The set and stage literally looks like Mean Girls.
It's not uncommon for a Hallmark leading man to reveal his hidden gifts in a
movie. For example, Hallmark star Luke McFarlane. His character in Chateau
Christmas was originally a violinist.
But because Luke is a real-life cellist, he asked the writers to change the
instrument so it was authentic to his real-life talents.
My point is, so much of who you really are can play a part in the parts that
you play.
So today, we want to see each and every one of you get on this stage and own it.
That means be confident, prove yourself, have stage presence, and of course, star
quality.
The show must go on, but not until I bring out my friend and gifted gal, the
one and only Melissa Peterman.
Hello.
Hi.
Oh, my goodness. I love this stage.
Ezra, since you won the last festive face-off, you get two advantages.
One will be revealed later, but the other advantage is that you get to pick
the order in which everyone performs.
I want these guys knowing what they're up against, so I elect to go first.
Following me, it'll be Parker, Jonathan, then Hayden, Elijah, and then Blake.
And remember, guys, expect the unexpected, because a Hallmark leading
man is always prepared.
And you're really going to want to be prepared for this, because you're
performing for... a live audience.
Ezra, head backstage and get ready for your performance.
Guys, that row's yours.
Having the experience of touring with Hamilton, the energy that you get when
you're in front of a live audience is like nothing else.
Hey, everybody, and welcome to the Finding Mr. Talent Show!
Yeah!
I'm feeling excited, a little nervous. I'm trying to set the bar so high that
it makes it difficult for them.
First... Here to shake it up is Ezra!
Come on, everybody, help me out.
So I choose to rollerblade and make some drinks at the bar. I have bartending
experience working these private parties in Miami, and I rollerblade quite a bit
back home in Cali.
Audience, judges, welcome to Santa's Merry Martini Bar.
Hit it.
How can I compete with the splits?
You can't do splits in Wranglers. Come on.
This is amazing.
The talent show is the perfect opportunity to show everybody a side of
me that I normally am back home. This is Ezra.
I hope you like it shaking.
Ezra gets up on that stage, and it's like a completely different Ezra.
Like, he's just kind of blossomed right in front of all of us.
I don't think anyone's looking at the martinis, to be honest.
I am kind of, a little bit.
Cheers, everybody.
I love you all.
So what the boys don't know is that they're being judged on their star
quality on stage, but they're also being judged on a surprise interview that
we've set up with Kelty Knight, the lead anchor of E! News, as soon as they walk
off the stage.
Hi, Ezra. I'm Kelty Knight, host of E! News. Are you ready for Hollywood?
Who?
Nice to meet you. How are you? You ready?
Rolling up to Kelty kind of just like took me by complete surprise. Oh my
goodness. I just... and pretty nervous about messing up, because this is just
something I've never done.
So Ezra, if you want to make it in Hollywood and be the next big Hallmark
star, you have to know how to handle the press.
So Jonathan and his whole team here at Hallmark sent me from E! News to
interview you to see how you do.
All righty. Are you ready?
A little scared, but no, I'm kidding. Yeah, I'm ready. OK. First of all, tell
me about this outfit choice.
This, to me, feels like it could be a best dressed or a worst dressed list.
Well, first of all, Especially for the holidays, love a turtleneck. And
whenever I'm gonna be skating, you gotta wear the short shorts.
Ezra, are you ready for Hollywood?
Okay. Grew up in Wichita, Kansas.
I have three brothers and three sisters. And my younger sister got into modeling.
And she was my first introduction kind of into the industry. And kind of ever
since then, closer and closer getting into film and overall the Hollywood
world. Okay, you seem a little nervous, but I think it's okay. Because you won
the last challenge, your advantage is you get to have a second chance.
This is the first time I'm hearing about what my second advantage is. So I'm
like, oh, that's what I've been waiting for. Do you want to use your second
chance to re-answer any of those questions?
Can I use my second chance to ask you if you would recommend that I do?
Excellent job.
I think the thing that you need to remember when you're doing a press
interview is that you're promoting something, right? You had a hard time
kind of weaving back in Hallmark's Mr. Christmas.
I would read you where I asked you, you know, are you ready to enter Hollywood?
Does that make sense?
Take two, second chance.
Ezra, it's so wonderful to see you. Are you ready for Hollywood?
With the opportunity that I find myself in now becoming the next Mr. Christmas,
I can't think of anything. that would open the doors and represent really who
I am and introduce me to Hollywood in the most, you know, magical and loving
way. So, absolutely, yeah, I am. I love it.
Nice work.
Good job, bro. Okay, skate out.
There's a little bit of voice in the back of my head saying, nice work. We
got this one.
World's greatest husband.
Well played. Well played.
Coming up next, it's the one and only...
How y'all doing? How y'all doing?
So I am what you would call a husband that works at home, so I double as a
house husband. So one of the things that my wife absolutely loves is when I
change the sheets on Sunday.
So I'm gonna show you something that I believe that all men should learn, and
it's how to fold a fitted sheet.
I mean, my wife has been insanely supportive through my career. We met at
the ball. I was working at Abercrombie & Fitch. Knowing that I have her...
holding down the fort, taking care of our son.
I'm going to honor my wife.
You want to take your two corners.
Put them together.
All the way down to that other side.
I do not know how to fold a bit of sheet. I never do. I roll in the ball. I
need to take notes.
Find those corners.
Take them and put them together just like so.
I'm a bit confused about what's happening here.
Oh, losing it here. Hold on one second. Oh no, we've had a sheet down, sheet
down. Lay it flat.
You're going to fold it all the way through. This is a folded fitted sheet.
Merry Christmas!
Hi, Parker. I'm Kelty Knight, host of E! News. Are you ready for your Hollywood
interview? I am. How are you? I love it. It's nice to meet you. Me too.
Completely blindsided. Boom.
Kelty Knight, E! News, interview, let's go.
Now, this talent was probably the strangest talent I've ever seen in a
talent show ever. When you announced what you were doing, I thought, he's got
to be joking. And then you folded a fitted sheet on national television.
Why was this your talent?
It's just something that I do every week for my wife. My wife wants it. She loves
it. That's why I started ironing them. So every Sunday, she gets those fresh,
crisp sheets to start the week. This is not like an act. You do this at home.
Oh, no. Yeah, this is a true story.
And I did not know that this was a special talent until quite a few people
around me just in life every year were like, you can fold a fitted sheet?
I thought it was very interesting, though, that you decided to talk about
your wife so much. Because in Hollywood, we normally see stars keep their
personal relationships very private. My wife is literally the backbone of the
family. There's no home without her.
We'll be like, that's a great house.
She'll make it the home. What do you think she's going to say when she sees
this? Hopefully, she will love it. But then behind the camera, she'll be
like...
You could have done this. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
She'll have notes. Yeah, she'll have notes, but in a good way. But here's the
thing. I don't think Hallmark is making the folded sheet Christmas movie. Do you
know what I mean?
I get it. That's not getting greenlit this year. Absolutely. But thank you for
teaching the men of America the standard in which we need them to act at. I leave
that interview reliving it in my head. My execution was not as professional as
it should have been.
Next up.
You say, jump. He says, how high?
Get it. You got this. You got it.
When I heard talent show, I'm like, man, what can I come to the talent show with?
Next up is Jonathan!
Get out of his way. Get out of his way.
Yeah!
Great entrance.
I'm feeling pretty confident.
I was a high-level track and field athlete. Became an All-American in the
half-task line, the high jump. I spent so much time jumping.
I'm excited to do this. I'm excited to get the audience included.
How we doing, everyone?
Good! I have been jumping for over a decade.
I'm about to show you guys some jumping and mix it in with some Christmas as
well. Are you guys excited?
Let's go!
Now, have you ever seen someone jump completely over a Christmas tree?
No.
To get the energy high, I'm gonna need you to clap with me, all right, to get
my rhythm straight.
So all I need you to do is clap like this.
Jonathan can jump.
Oh, wow.
Look at that guy.
I need that energy again.
Can y'all help me out?
It's a big jump. Let's see if he can get it.
Here he comes.
Jonathan, come again.
It's an incomplete jump. I have to start back over, but the crowd is supporting
me.
And...
It is another incomplete jump.
Thank you all so much.
What I love is that if it didn't go exactly the way he thought, he just kept
going. That's a pro.
Hi, Jonathan. I'm Kelty Knight, host of E! News. Are you ready for your E! News
interview? Let's do it. Oh, I love it. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.
Kelty Knight from E! News. I have no idea what I'm about to get myself into.
Let's talk about...
Yes. As an actor, you have to do stunts sometimes, right? And so I think my
ability today was going in there, doing a hybrid of high jump with a little bit
of some stunts there. Yes. What I loved about your talent show is that it was
great. Yes. And then...
It sort of fumbled. Okay. I mean, the Christmas tree fell off. You, like,
knocked over the tree. You had to jump off the stage, pick the tree back up.
Sometimes things happen, but I kept going. I picked it up, put it back, ran
to my next jump. What did it feel like for you when the audience sort of
realized, like, hey, we want them to do it again, and they gave you this second
chance? I think it speaks to the audience of Hallmark. Like, those are
who the fans are, right? They have heart. They have empathy. It was a
heartfelt moment.
I think I'm in love with you.
Look at that smile!
Oh, my!
Is it getting hot?
Always happens with all my Hollywood junkets with the hot men. Well, you did
a fantastic job. Welcome to Hollywood. I appreciate you so much Next up here to
pull a little entertainment out of his hat.
It's Hayden Look at you beautiful people. Yes. My
name is Hayden, but you can call me captain fantastic for right now sound.
All right
I do children's entertainment, the best children's entertainment in the whole of
the U.S. Now, I need you to transport your mind and transform yourselves into
that five-year-old, magical, adventurous kid you once were. You reckon you can do
that for me?
Okay, so are you ready, kids?
Hayden gets up there.
He's got stage presence. He's commanding the audience.
My talent is drawing pictures. So please let me know if you like my pictures.
Oh, no.
I've got the wrong book.
I got the wrong one.
Oh, no.
I've got the wrong book.
I got the wrong one.
It's okay.
I've got other things we can do. I'm gonna teach you the magic words. That's
what we'll do instead, okay?
My Captain Fantastic routine is all about the audience performing the magic
to help the magician who's having some troubles.
So the magic words are zippity-zap. Can you repeat after me? Ready? One, two,
three. Zippity-zap.
You got it. Now I need you to collect all your magic power like this.
Great. So let's have a practice. Let's practice on the book, even though we
won't be using it. Ready? One.
Two, three, zippity zaps!
And now let's just pretend that we see my pictures there that I didn't have in
before. Oh!
Oh! No way!
No way!
Magic! You got my pictures back!
Well done, well done. Now I'm going to show you my favourite magic traffic
light themed balls here. I'm going to ask you to think back to all those
traffic lights you've ever seen.
What colour light is at the bottom?
Green. That's right. Green. And green means?
Go. Correct. What goes in the middle?
Yellow. Yellow. And yellow means?
Caution. All right. We're going to put that in the middle there. And what goes
up the very tippy top? Red. You got it. And red means?
Stop. You got it. Well done. We've got green, yellow, red.
Let's go.
Oh. Oh.
Whoopsies. That's all right. Sometimes this red ball is very cheeky.
So cheeky, in fact, that I've brought his timeout box.
We're going to put him in timeout so we can think about what he's done. You guys
are magic now, right? I taught you the magic words. I want you to envision that
red ball coming back into our traffic lights, okay?
So on the count of three, collect all your magic strength, and let's think of
some bright red. I'm thinking stocking, Santa's hat, Rudolph's bright red nose.
You got it?
One, two, three, zippity-zap!
Candy canes. Oh!
This has just gone wrong, and I'm like, okay, uh, just move on.
You found it! Congratulations, boys and girls!
And because you've been such a great audience, everyone gets a balloon down
the hall!
Oh, my gosh! Yes!
Yes!
Oh, my gosh!
Yes! Yes! Merry Christmas, everybody!
Give it up for...
So I'm going to sing and then you're going to do the fa la la. Deck the halls
with boughs of holly. Fa la la la la la la. Tis the season to be jolly. Fa la la
la la la la.
He's just stretching. This is when the business we call stretching.
So he's just stretching because Hayden needs to change clothes.
Hi Hayden, I'm Kelty Knight, host of E! News. Are you ready for your Hollywood
interview? Kelty?
Yeah. It's my first press junket.
This is crazy.
First of all, do you feel like you're ready for Hollywood?
I know who I am, I know what I stand for, and I'm ready to take on the world,
you know, Hollywood.
How do you think it went today in the talent show?
I'm super happy with how it went today. So I got up there, I've done this a
bunch, and I feel like the audience enjoyed it. Did you feel like you would
have wanted a second chance when that one little magic trick maybe didn't go
your way?
One didn't go the, which one?
Oh, the book?
No. I felt like the red ball fell out when it wasn't supposed to fall out.
When it popped out the top? Yeah.
That's part of the trick.
Kelty has obviously seen that there was a mistake somewhere in that show.
Oh, no, I was...
Yeah, that's all went well.
I don't know, but I was like, oops, the ball. Anyway.
And I decide to play that and just say, what do you mean? What are you talking
about? Congratulations on making it this far. And no matter what happens, we'll
see you in Hollywood. That is so amazing. As soon as I leave the
interview, I have just this clarity of thought where I go.
Maybe I should have just been totally honest with her because I kind of went
against my values.
Coming next to the stage, he is the gift that you are going to want to unwrap.
Yeah. It's Elijah!
Yeah!
How y'all doing? How y'all doing?
My talent today is a little special... What?
That I wrote myself.
DJ, drop that joint.
Yeah. who you know that brings the best cheer mr holiday himself and he's
standing right here uh pay attention i'm gonna get him in gear cause saint nick
coming quick look out for the reindeer uh who is this mr christmas check him
off your wish list you don't want to miss this uh so let me know if you've
been naughty and nice because i'm looking at my list and i'm checking it
twice hey elijah's gonna be hard to beat he's a genius
Thank y'all, thank y'all. I had so much fun.
Hi, Elijah.
I'm Katie Knight, host of E! News. Are you ready for your Hollywood interview?
Yes, let's do it. All right.
What? I thought it was over.
I was going to go back and sit in the audience and watch my friends do their
thing. Tell me about this. You wrote this?
I did. Music is something that's very important to me. I love singing. I love
rap. So, like, being a part of Hamilton was right in my wheelhouse.
And I wanted to show a little bit of that here.
Could you sing, Kelty, I'm so happy to see you for E! News or something like
that? E!
News, this is our interview.
Yeah.
All right, coming up next to the stage, please welcome everybody's favorite
cowboy, the one and only Blake!
Howdy, howdy, howdy, howdy, howdy.
How are y'all doing tonight?
Okay, so my favorite thing to do on Christmas is go just good old-fashioned
two-stepping. For y'all who don't know what that is, that's just an easy
country dance to learn and everybody can do it. The basic concept...
Two steps in one direction, one step in the next.
Two steps in the... Wait.
It'd be a lot better for me just to show y'all with one of you beautiful young
ladies in the audience. Which one of y'all want to get up here and show us
how it's done? I got any volunteers?
I'm looking around.
Several girls are smiling, putting up their hand.
Who's it going to be? Who's it going to be?
Can I have this dance?
Okay, okay.
Smart.
Know your audience. Yes.
She has the most beautiful smile. She just looks so innocent, looks just happy
to be there. And I knew she was my girl.
Two steps in one direction, one or the other. I just follow you. I love it.
Yes, ma'am.
Giddy up.
Yeah.
I'm going to spin you a little bit too in a minute, okay?
He's smooth.
He's got this swagger.
If you weren't in love with Blake before, you sure are now.
By the way, Becky's got moves. Let's just be clear. Becky's got some moves.
We're having a good time. Becky's being a great sport.
And I think this is really going to put me maybe not as the winner, but I do not
think I'll be on the bottom of the barrel.
There you go.
Good job, girl.
That's it.
Let's bow.
Thank you.
Give it up for Blake!
Hi there, Blake. I'm Kelty Knight, host of E! News. Are you ready for your
Hollywood interview?
How are you? Nice to meet you.
Sit on down.
Now tell me about your talent.
So I wanted to give the people something that was just true to who I am.
Being from Texas, I love to dance.
You're very charming. Like, if you had to write the plot of the Hallmark movie
you star in. Me and you hit it off in high school, but you were kind of the
one that got away.
You know, you were from maybe a big-time family. I lived on a dirt road.
And then you came back home. You had a bad outing with a ritzy lawyer boyfriend
up in New York City.
You come back home, you see me working on the farm with my shirt off, and you
say, hey, maybe I need to go talk to this guy. I love you so much.
Congratulations to you. Thank you so much. Wow, I can't breathe.
To get that reaction from somebody like that, I mean, it gives a man a lot of
confidence. I could get used to that.
Can we get one more round?
I don't know how the other guys' interviews went, but I'm thinking I
crushed it. Hey, Hayden, you really had me gassed with the magic tricks. Yes,
bro, that was amazing.
So, what'd you think?
First of all, you have some fabulous guys.
Hayden in the talent show commanded the room.
It did seem like you messed up one of the magic tricks, though.
Hayden in the interview didn't exude star quality to me.
The it factor wasn't there in the interview. I saw it on stage, so I know
he has it.
Between us and in this car only, I messed up a trick.
Yeah. He just didn't bring it to the interview. He's got to learn how to
bring it to the other aspects of the job. You were like an expert in high
job. I appreciate y'all, man. But y'all did a great job as well.
I thought Jonathan's interview was spectacular.
When he walked out at the end of the interview, I thought, oh, I'm watching a
star walk out of the room. And not to mention, he's so handsome. You know I
love a tall, lanky man. Yeah. He makes everyone's hearts flutter. Yes.
But he also seemed to have more than a few problems with his talent.
What about Parker?
I was excited he was teaching my husband how to do a fitted sheet, but like, I
wished in the interview, if I heard him talk about his wife one more time, my
eyes were going to roll back in my head. I love that he's married. I love that
he's a great husband. But also, you want to play into the fantasy.
Because when I'm at home at Christmas watching a Hallmark movie, I want to
fall in love with the star. I don't want to know so much about their personal
life. To have the skill and patience to fold a fitted sheet?
I want to talk about Elijah. I put him on the spot in the interview, and I
said, I need you to sing me something. He made up a song about being
interviewed by E! News on the spot in the press junket. E!
News, this is our interview.
And that is a skill. It was very, very impressive.
Not only did he rap on stage, but he also wrote it. There is only six of us.
Right. And it's getting dialed. It's getting down to the wire.
Let's talk about Ezra.
Ezra won the festive face-off, so he got the second chance advantage.
Did he use it? I did the entire interview, and then I said, all right,
you can go back to the beginning. Do you want to do a question again? He nailed
it. So he took your note. He took direction. Boys, I'm going to tell you
this right now. If winning Mr. Christmas gets me interviews like that with
beautiful women, y'all better watch out. I'm about to be dialed in.
What about Blake?
I actually was like whatever about the talent, like it was charming and I
thought it was so lovely and he was so sweet.
His interview, he was just being himself and that authenticity, that is what sets
the people who can from the people who cannot.
So it's like we all got out there, we had some fun, and now it's like we've
got to say goodbye to a brother, you know?
All right, Kelty, thank you so much for being here. There are so many different
things that are going to come into play in this decision, and unfortunately, one
of our guys is going to have to go home.
I don't know how you're going to pick.
I really enjoyed my conversation with Kelty, but I did have one moment that I
wasn't super stoked with.
Today's challenge, a live audience, an interview, was right in my wheelhouse.
Hey, guys. Tonight, one of you will be named this week's Shining Star, and one
of you will be headed home for the holidays.
Almost getting sent home. The last elimination, you just really realize, I
just want to stay. I don't want to go home.
During the talent show, we were looking for you to be confident, command the
stage, and through your talent, show us what makes you unique among all these
other leading men.
In the interviews, we were looking for you to answer questions with confidence,
be quick on your feet, and represent Hallmark and what we stand for.
Kelty, you sat with the guys, you put them in the hot seat, and asked them the
hard-hitting questions.
Did anyone stand out? For me...
Blake, honestly, you were one of my favorite interviews today.
Your two-step was fine, but your interview was spectacular.
Thank you. Blake, are you turning red?
I am very red.
I try to play it off and be cool, you know, keep a straight face, but in my
mind, I was like, yeah, holla at your boy.
Ezra, you won the festive face-off and walked into this challenge with two
advantages. Not only did we finally see your personality come through during the
talent show...
Your splits were legendary and the audience went crazy.
You used your advantage well and nailed the interview with Kelty.
Thank you so much.
Elijah, the rap you wrote and performed was outstanding.
And your interview with Kelty was extraordinary as well.
You asked great questions, and I felt really, really comfortable singing in
the chair with you. I think what was really special about you is that when I
asked you to sing, you instantly were game for anything and helped me make a
really spectacular moment that we would air on E! News.
As you know, there can only be one winner.
The winner of the Star Quality Challenge is a man who displayed incredible talent
on stage and in the surprise interview with Kelty.
Tonight's shining star is...
Ezra,
congratulations.
You took the note I gave you about making sure you're talking about the
show and the brand and what we're here for. Congratulations to you. Very smart.
Ezra, how you feeling, buddy?
Pretty ecstatic right now, I'm not gonna lie.
Especially going from... Being this close to being eliminated last time,
it's a great feeling overall.
Guys, the time is now to show up to this competition.
Being safe is no longer an option.
Jonathan, there is no doubt that you have charm.
But when it came to your talent, it seemed like you overestimated your
ability.
But the way you interviewed, the way you talked about sort of the things that
went wrong with your talent show, it was just lovely. They were like, things
happen. You have to move on.
That means a lot. Thank you.
That interview was enough to keep you safe this week.
But that isn't true for everyone.
Hayden and Parker, will you please step down?
I can't express to you how terrible it feels being on the bottom.
Seeing Hayden at the bottom is a bit of a shock. And without even speaking,
we knew everything each other was feeling.
Parker, you came out and gave a lesson on how to fold a fitted sheet.
Bold choice.
Kelty loves that you are a proud husband.
But in the interview, we didn't learn anything more about you.
Hayden, you brought literal magic to the stage.
But what happened in the interview?
Kelty felt that you lost the star quality that you showcased on stage.
Unfortunately, one of you will be going home right now.
15 years of grinding and auditions.
This could be 15 years and another one missed.
My heart is racing.
I want to say something that'll let the judges know that I still want to be here
and I still deserve to be here.
Parker, take your stocking down. You're going home for the holidays.
I feel a bit of sadness.
Because I would want to be here tomorrow and the next day. But also, I've never
been more proud and happy about what I've accomplished here.
Don't be, man. Crush it.
Hayden, you can join the guys.
Thank you for a second chance.
Parker, you're fabulous. You should be so very, very proud.
Thank you very much. It's time to say your holiday goodbyes and head home.
Today wasn't my day.
Y'all crush it, all right? Keep it going.
Keep it going.
I have memories.
I have new friendships.
Thank you. Bye, Parker. I did my best, and I just wasn't enough.
I'm feeling kind of crushed.
That's a good guy.
I know it was upsetting to see him leave, but second chances are a huge
part of Hallmark movies, which is why I'm going to give you the opportunity to
give Parker a second chance.
What is happening?
Or do you want to let him leave the competition for good?
The choice is yours.
