whirl their wheels in the wacky races.

Competing for the title of the world's wackiest racers. The cars that are

approaching the starting line. First is the turbo terrific driven by Peter

Perfect.

Next, Rupert Ruffcutt in Sawtooth in the Buzzwagon.

Maneuvering for position is the Army Surplus Special.

Right behind is the Ant Hill Mob in their bulletproof bombs.

And there's Ingenious Inventor, hat pending in his converter car.

Oh, and here's the lovely Penelope Pitstop, the glamour gal of the gas

pedal. Next, we have the Bouldermobile with the Sly Brothers, rock and gravel.

Lurching along is the Creepy Coop with the Gruesome Sootham. And right on their

tail is the Red Max.

And there's the Arkansas Chuggabug with Root and Blubber Bear.

Sneaking along last is that mean machine with those double-dealing dew batters,

Nick Dastardly and his sidekick, Muttley.

And even now, they're up to some dirty trick, and they're off to a standing

start. And why not?

They've been chained to a post by shifty Dick Dastardly, who shifts into the

wrong gear.

And away they go on the way out wacky races.

Today, our wacky race takes place over water, as our wacky racers are island

hopping down Florida Overseas Highway from Key Largo to Key West.

The surplus six is scissoring along in the lead.

Penelope Pitstop in car number five is in second place.

And the Slag Brothers are rocking along in third place.

Oh, Dick Dexter, betraying the leaders, is determined to pass them. But how?

By cheating.

How else?

Watch.

Here comes the mean machine, straddling the rails.

Dick Daggerly is now in the lead.

And I shall stay here.

Better watch out, Dick.

Why? You're approaching the end of the bridge.

Huh?

Yikes!

Drat! And double drat!

The cars race along Coconut Key.

Peter Perfect runs into some trouble from a coconut.

No problem.

The Turbo Terrific can take anything.

Except a coconut.

Reaching the end of Coconut Island, the cars race over Long Bridge to the next

island.

And Red Max makes his move.

The crimson hay baler is now leading the pack.

So long, fellas.

Uh-oh, the bridge is raising.

Stopped by an open drawbridge, Big Gruesome shifts into alligator power.

And the creepy coke continues on its way.

Professor Pat Pendick changes his converter car into a speedboat.

And follows the creepy Coops Lee.

Meanwhile, Dirty Dick Dastardly has shifted to submarine power and is

gaining on the leaders.

Man the torpedoes, Muttley!

Fire one!

Fire two!

diabolical dick by a devious device has once again taken the lead.

As Penelope Pitstop perambulates across Pirate Key, the Sly Brothers make their

move to pass her.

Oh dear, I can't see a little old thing.

I'll help you, Penelope.

It seems to be stuck.

Oh, sure.

Thanks, Peter. You're really a little cutie pie.

Well, I'm glad I could be of assistance, Miss Penelope.

And so Penelope is back in the race.

Oh, fiddlesticks.

Peter Perfect is back in the race, too.

Nick Dastardly has delayed long enough to do a little bridge blocking.

Stay out of sight, Matty. Here they come.

Have a blast our way through.

And the anthill mob is back in the race.

The cars are crossing Sombrero Key now, and the creepy goop is trying to pass

the Arkansas Chugabug. Big gruesome shifts to Dragon Power.

Oh, shucks.

Meanwhile, Dirty Dick Dastardly has another despicable scheme.

Yes, a three million horsepower fake hurricane machine.

I'll blow the other races off the island and into the ocean!

Here they come, Muttley.

Start the machine!

Wacky racers are burning the asphalt as they hear the finish line in Key West.

Penelope Pitstop is in the lead. But the surplus ship's in a triple track.
