And now, here they are, the most daredevil group of dandy drivers to ever
whirl their wheels in the wacky races, competing for the title of the world's
wackiest racer. The cars are approaching the starting line. First is the turbo
terrific driven by Peter Perfect.
Next, Rupert Roughcutt and Sawtooth in the buzz wagon.
Maneuvering for position is the Army Surplus Special. Right behind is the Ant
Hill Mob in their bulletproof bombs.
And there's Ingenious Inventor.
Pat Pendy in his converter car.
Oh, and here's the lovely Penelope Hidstop, the glamour gal of the gas
pedal. Next, we have the Bowler Mobile with the Slag Brothers, Rock and Gravel.
Lurching along is the Creepy Coop with the Gruesome Susum. And right on their
tail is the Red Max.
And there's the Arkansas Chuggabug with Luke and Blubber Bear.
Sneaking along last is that mean machine with those double-dealing dew batters,
Nick Dastrovy and his sidekick, Buckley. And even now, they're up to some dirty
trick. And they're off to a standing start. And why not?
They've been chained to a post by Shifty Dick Dasterly, who shifts into the wrong
gear. And away they go on the way out wacky races.
There go the wacky racers as they zip their zany way toward the finish line in
far-off Chillicothe, Ohio.
Peter Perfect in number nine is leading the field, but right behind him is the
surplus six with a clarking good idea.
to make Peter Perfect not so perfect.
As the Army Surplus Six takes the lead, Professor Pat Pending comes up with
another wacky adventure.
Seven-league boot power.
How about that? A bubblegum gun.
About to come up to Professor's works.
And it works!
Right back.
As surplus mix comes to a sticky stop, Professor Pat Pending takes a wide lead
with the other wacky racers in hot pursuit.
The anthill mob make a past getaway and could be a winner, but Luke and the
Arkansas Chuggabug could turn out to be a sleeper.
The creepy coop doesn't give the others a ghost of a chance.
And the unhappy Slack Brothers have dropped out with a flat tire.
While up ahead on a bridge, there's villainy afoot. Oh, it's that diabolical
tour of dire deeds.
Nobody's winning this wacky race but me.
And how do you propose to do that, you villain?
This cord is attached to a slab covering a hole in the road.
When the wacky racers reach it, I yank the slab away, and down they go, out of
the race.
And I breathe in the winner.
Here they come.
Strap their speedy wheels.
And what a nerve-wracking race this has become.
Professor Pat Penning is leading as the ant hill mob does a sneak play and
hijacks the professor to steal first place from him.
Hello there. Where's Penelope Pitstop?
Number five is empty.
Isn't that cute?
She's out to lunch.
Darling of you two, prepare the picnic, Penelope.
And I'll have your favorite dessert, deep dish chuckleberry pie.
There goes your little pie.
Blubber Bear, I sure got me the hungries for a chunk of deep dish chuckleberry
pie.
Well,
I can almost taste it.
Here, you can rip the dish.
Now the anthill mob is in the lead.
Plus the buzz wagon with Rupert Roughcut and Buzzsaw buzzes through.
Well, where's the rest of the car, Clive? There it goes.
Right behind Peter Piper.
Come on, let's take a shortcut, Shorty, and head them off with the pass.
Right, Clive.
Geronimo!
Nice of you fellows to drop in, but it's a little crowded in here.
Oops, wrong car.
And the anthill mob is once again out in front.
We've got to stop the anthill mob, Mutley.
And I just got a dastardly idea.
Quick, into the empty police car.
We'll scare them right out of the wacky race.
All right, anthill mob, pull over.
It's the highway patrol.
Let's get out of here, guys. Fast.
What's this place, Clyde? It's the Itty Bitty Lake ballpark. Quick, into the
locker room.
It's the police.
Hey, what are you doing in my squad car?
Let's get out of here, Muttley.
Paul, come back here.
Here he comes.
We better get into the ball game.
Have you seen a sneaky looking guy with a dog?
Who's sneaky?
I mean, no, sir.
Uh-oh, there's the policeman again.
Wait, make like a little league team.
Come on, Muffy. We'll play ball my way.
Sneaky.
Meanwhile, back at the Wacky Races, the Slag Brothers have just passed the
Creepy Coop, and the Creepy Coop ships into stormy weather.
And at the Itty Bitty League.
All right there now, put it right over the plate so I can knock it out of the
park. Not this solid steel ball, he won't.
You're out.
Put it right down the old alley.
I'll put you down the old alley with this multiple bomb ball.
One thing for sure, he's having a ball.
I don't like the way that big guy is tricking those itty-bitty leaguers.
I'm going to get into the game.
Well, we are in yours, too.
Sarkoos, get me a real-size bat.
All right, big boy.
Put it over the plate.
I've got him. I've got him.
Give him all you've got, Rufus.
Here goes.
Double-coupled buzz-bomb!
Gentleman's voice, Rofus!
Matty!
Wacky Racer, go, go, go, as they take a horseshoe curve. Professor Pat Henning
is busy at the controls of his converter car.
I wonder what gimmick he's coming up with now.
Oh, an aeropower? I don't believe it.
Wow, I believe it.
It doesn't make the lead away from the Red Max.
And now Red Max's flying machine is taking off, leaving Red Max far behind.
Meanwhile, back at the dastardly deed department.
I'm going to stop those wacky racers with the old crawling baby in the road
routine.
As the whacking racers approach, they'll swerve onto that bridge with a blimp
attached. I cut the rope holding the bridge down, and the blimp lifts the
bridge and the cars up, up and away.
Here they come, Mutley.
Help! Help! Look out for my little baby.
Oh, cookie cutter.
Up, up.
line in Chillicothe, the road is blocked by a rock slide.
No problem.
Eight rocks in the corner pocket.
In the home stretch, Professor Pat Penning, back to seven-league boot
power, is still in the lead.
But close behind is the surplus six.
Let's try the bubble gum again.
Muttley, do something!
Get me down!
