He was like, "You know, if you meet the industry 15%,
they'll meet you the other 75."
And I knew that if I was able to do that,
that I would have, not necessarily a hit,
but like something, you know, something to show for my time.
And I had a lot of fun.
I had a lot of fun writing music
before my whole television career got off.
And I know it's not the funniest part of the show.

I did have one commercial success.
It was actually a commercial.

for a business there in Nashville.
And it was really,
really important development in my career.
I got to do a little bit of my thing,

And it was a little bit for them, which was exciting.
And they wanted me to do my thing.
And I got like airplay on country radio in the middle...
