The Dungeon Master is bestowed knowledge and wisdom,

so they can use the core to create mazes for adventurers.

Old dungeons can be home to rare monsters and unique ecosystems.

They also often contain precious minerals, enchanted armour, and other rare knick-knacks.

You can see 'em as challenges meant for humanity to overcome,

rewarding our bravest warriors with valuable loot and treasures.

So it's not the God of Chaos, but Goddess of Chaos, huh?
