(Episode 24: Entrusted Sentiments)

Tomas?

It would be a pity to kill him.

Let's go.

Yes.

Rosell.

Is there something wrong?

No.

(As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World S2)

(As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World S2)

Mireille, although you're a genius,

the one who can offer victory to their lord

will be me.

Lord Curran.

The Mages are now in position.

Good.

(Settling)

Ready.

(Settling)

Come on.

Rosell.

Lamberg's tactician

is not just Miss Mireille.

Ready to shoot.

Please… please wait.

What's wrong? It didn't explode.

The enemy has already advanced here, right?

Yes.

It would be normal to launch an attack now.

Wha…

What is going on?

The battle has started.

Enemy… Enemy attack!

The master has given orders.

We're to defeat the underlings to clear the way.

Stop acting like the commander.

Enemy attack! Enemy attack!

Activate the explosive device.

How… how did they know it?

Mireille…

Lord Curran!

It's dangerous here, please retreat to the rear.

It's okay.

Take down the enemy.

Don't kill Tomas.

Lord Curran.

If I cut off your head…

That is…

(Intellect 94, Prowess 91, Diplomacy 80, Ambition 20) Tomas Grandione.

Stop the enemy general!

Follow Lord Tomas!

Help… help them.

No, the explosive device is still nearby.

It will affect Ars.

Don't get yourself killed, Ars.

- The enemy has flanked the right wing. - Ars, protect Lord Curran.

Yes.

(Diplomacy 81, Ambition 93, Command 99) Lord Curran has the advantage

(Prowess 97, Intellect 79) in terms of ability.

But…

Lord Curran!

That momentum…

Ars?

Ars.

Don't get in the way!

Lord Ars!

Mr. Rietz!

(Intellect 79, Command 99)

(Prowess 89)

I won't allow you to get any closer to Lord Ars.

Mr. Rietz, thank you.

It's… It's not over yet.

I haven't…

Mireille…

Long time no see, Tomas.

(Tomas Grandione)

Lord Ars, please…

Please don't be reckless again.

I'm… I'm sorry.

Why did you rush forward?

I don't know.

I'm aware that Lord Curran is stronger than me,

but I thought maybe there was a chance.

My body just acted on its own.

That's just the kind of person Ars is.

I've known Lord Ars for a longer time

than you have.

What? What are you getting superior about?

Alright…

More importantly, are they okay?

Oh dear, during our separation,

you've become so haggard.

Shut up.

I've lost to you again.

Kill me right now.

You're still as extreme as ever.

I think you've misunderstood.

It wasn't me who saw through your plan.

It was this kid?

Oh, that was close.

If it had been just me,

we would have all been blown away by now.

Thank you, Rosell.

You are welcome.

How did you know about my plan?

The method of formulating a strategy

depends on the guess at the opponent's thoughts.

I know Mireille very well.

But you don't know me, do you?

No… No, I do not.

But I have been thinking about Miss Mireill.

To defeat the enemy,

it's important to think about how the enemy might defeat us.

That is to say,

you must find a way to defeat Miss Mireille.

Ready to shoot.

Please wait!

The enemy might have planted a bomb.

Turned out Rosell was right.

Not bad for being my disciple.

All you think about is how to defeat me.

You didn't expect someone to guess your thoughts.

You really are my silly brother.

Even though they are siblings,

they are enemies.

They don't get along?

Ars?

(Used to concealing her true feelings)

Besides, since you were little…

Miss Mireille.

Um…

Please express yourself properly.

What are you saying, young master?

You have a point.

I lost this time.

But my disciple made up for my mistake.

So it should be a draw.

How should I put it…

You have become quite capable.

But we still have our minds and voices.

With these weapons,

we can survive.

In the end,

I…

In the end,

maybe I just want Mireille's recognition.

What are you smiling about?

Nothing.

I lost.

Tomas.

Lord Curran…

If you are willing to serve me,

I promise to treat you fairly.

I swore loyalty to Lord Basamark.

Even if I lose,

that will not change.

Is that so? What a pity.

Put him in prison.

Yes.

We can breathe a sigh of relief now.

Yes.

Hey, kid.

You're quite good.

Not really…

Actually,

it's all thanks to Lord Ars backing me up.

Don't let Mireille lead you astray, okay?

Okay.

Due to Mr. Tomas's failed battle plan,

Belzud Castle gave up resistance

and surrendered.

Everyone, you've worked hard.

(County Chief)

Our forces have now occupied

two of the three major cities,

Semplar, Arcantez, and Belzud.

This is all thanks to you.

I would like to reward you here.

First of all,

I would like to appoint new chiefs

for Belzud Region and Samuk County.

Fred.

My apologies.

I hope you can temporarily step down as the chief of Samuk County.

I will comply.

These two territories are crucial strongholds

in the upcoming war.

Who will Lord Curran intend to hand them over to?

The chief of Belzud county will be Lumeire Pyres.

Lord Lumeire…

That's great.

Because the Canarre Army has made the greatest military achievements.

Lupa Roozton will take over Samuk County.

Lupa?

To promote the surrendered general Lupa?

This arrangement

will make the enemy surrender more easily,

but it's bound to cause controversy.

However, Lord Lupa is surely up to the task.

I will comply.

I think he is a very suitable choice.

But in this case,

what about County of Canarre?

Lumeire is the current chief of County of Canarre,

but it is some distance from Belzud County.

It will be hard to govern both places.

Therefore…

Chief of County of Canarre will be taken over by Ars Louvent.

Lord Ars.

Calm down.

While I serve as the lord of Lamberg,

I also have to govern County of Canarre?

I mentioned it before, didn't I?

Although it's a bit earlier than expected.

If we win this battle,

you'll become the chief of County of Canarre.

He was serious

at that time?

Please wait.

This kid will be on an equal footing with us?

Isn't he too young for that?

We cannot accept

this meteoric rise.

Becoming a county chief

means taking care of many subordinates.

For me, it might still be too early.

Besides, just because your retainers are good…

It's truly unbearable.

We know Ars very well.

His retainers are indeed outstanding.

But his retainers only followed him

because he is Ars.

Apart from him,

no one else could become the chief of County of Canarre.

Lord Krall, Lord Hammond…

Me too. If it weren't for Ars,

I might have already joined the enemy camp.

Chief Perena, even Chief Massa…

I heard that Mr. Fred and Mr. Lupa

surrendered only after hearing his words.

His words have the power to move people's hearts.

I think so too.

In fact, the most active one is Ars, right?

Exactly.

I… I think so too.

If it weren't for Ars,

I wouldn't have worked so hard.

Lord Ars

will be a good chief for County of Canarre.

After all, he is the master of my master.

Guys…

Go ahead.

Lord Curran.

I solemnly accept the position of County of Canarre's chief.

Keep up the good work, Ars.

Yes.

- Long live Chief Ars… - Wait…

Guys!

Come on in.

Excuse me.

You've come, Ars.

It's rare for you to ask me to meet you.

I'm very happy.

I haven't had the chance during the war to have a good talk with you.

Congratulations again

on your promotion.

About that…

I can't bring myself to be happy.

At the time, everyone was congratulating me.

It was hard to say it.

Why is that?

I wasn't prepared to become the chief of Belzud…

No.

Actually, I don't want to give up County of Canarre.

Whether it's the size or resources,

Belzud is far superior to Canarre.

This should have been something to be grateful for.

But I grew up in Canarre.

The land was passed down by my ancestors.

To help the people there,

I've always worked hard.

Even so, it's still not enough.

I was planning to continue my work.

Honestly,

compared to Belzud, a land I have no connection with,

I'd rather continue to look after my hometown.

Lord Lumeire…

However, there's only one person

whom I can entrust my territory to.

And that's you, Ars.

Through the war,

I've seen your active performance and that of Lamberg,

and witnessed how you trust each other and grow.

In Lamberg, I saw the future of Canarre as I envisioned.

Ars.

Can you make Canarre a better place?

I can, Lord Lumeire.

Then I'm counting on you, Ars.

"Just like that,"

"the war in Belzud came to an end."

"I was appointed as the chief of County of Canarre."

(Return) Are the drinks ready?

Someone help serve the dishes.

"To prepare for the next war,"

"we will return to Lamberg first."

"By the time this letter arrives,"

"we will probably have left County of Canarre."

"Please wait for me a little longer."

Lord Ars has returned.

Welcome back, Lord Ars!

- I'm back. - Welcome back!

Lord Ars, this is a gift.

Thank you.

It's been a while, you seem more reliable now.

Do I?

They are the families of the deceased soldiers.

Um…

Lord Ars.

Thank you for writing to us.

It was a tough war,

yet you took time to comfort us.

We're so happy.

Although it's lonely without our son,

let's keep our spirits up together.

Okay.

You're returning in triumph.

Don't cry, Lord Ars.

Yes… I'm sorry.

Lord Ars!

Miss Licia.

No.

You are before the people, Licia.

The families of the deceased soldiers are there.

As the wife of the lord,

I cannot disgrace myself.

Lord Ars!

I've missed you

a lot.

Miss Licia.

Thanks to everyone, I performed very actively.

Yes.

I was even appointed as the chief of Canarre.

Ah, I wrote about it in the letter too, didn't I?

Right.

I've encountered many strange things.

Lord Ars.

Please let me stay like this for a moment.

Okay, Miss Licia.

Brother!

Brother, hug me too!

Me too!

Kreuz, Ren!

Lady Sofia.

Lord Ars has returned.

Yes.

Welcome back, Ars.

Alright, everyone, you can talk later.

Please come this way.

That's right.

Let's go.

Where is everyone going?

Please come with us.

Eh…

What are they doing?

Right, they haven't had a wedding ceremony yet, have they?

Let's go too.

We'll get some good wine.

What?

Indeed, today is a good day for a wedding.

Brother, over here.

This is…

I had someone arrange this.

This is your wedding.

You got married in a hurry because of the war

and haven't had a wedding ceremony, right?

Sister, come over here.

Lord Ars…

It suits you very well.

Miss Licia.

You too, Lord Ars.

Hey!

Hey…

I've come to congratulate you, Ars!

Father.

This war

brought much pain.

But…

For their smiles,

I will overcome any hardship,

as a warrior

and a lord.

Miss Licia, I will do my best.

I will support you, Lord Ars.
