[crowd cheering] Oasis! Oasis! Oasis!

Oasis! Oasis! Oasis!

[fans shouting indistinctly]

[♪ pump-up music playing]

And like, we were really snide,

we weren't going nowhere, we was really crap.

And then we needed songs. Our kid had songs.

He's got hundreds and hundreds of songs that are just mega.

1994. This is our year, without a shadow of a doubt,

no one can touch us this year.

[Liam] All we done was got our heads down

in the rehearsal room,

asked ourselves did we wanna be

the biggest band in the world

or do we wanna go for it, and we all went, "Yeah."

[cheering]

[Letterman] Definitely Maybe is the fastest-selling

album in Britain's history.

[Liam] I'm after it all. I wanna be a star.

And we're lucky enough that it happened.

-Hoorah. -[laughing]

Know what I mean?

Anyway, can I say something now?

My name's Noel. I write all the songs.

You know, it's just one of them things.

I don't write anything, so I'm a fan of him.

Do you know what I mean? Of his music.

[Noel] Onstage, I just want him--

when he turns to me and I turn to him

and, like, we just both look at each other,

that's what it's about for us.

[reporter 1] The best band around at the moment.

[reporter 2] Their popularity likened to that of the Beatles.

[reporter 3] A quarter of a million rock fans

are counting the hours

till the Gallagher brothers take the stage.

They're temperamental, they're moody.

[interviewer] What do you think of rock 'n' roll today?

I think it's shit.

[Gary] What happened there?

[Noel] He does it all the time now.

[Gary] It's part of the show.

It goes, like, "Supersonic," "Acquiesce,"

Liam walk offstage scowling.

[Liam] Nothing to say, that's what's going on.

[reporter 4] So, why--

[reporter 5] Have you spoken to your brother, Liam?

[Noel] Nobody gets Liam.

Liam doesn't even get Liam.

[newsreader] The future of the pop group Oasis is in doubt tonight.

[reporter 6] And it's brother against brother.

[reporter 7] Noel Gallagher, the elder brother,

is flying back to Britain tonight.

[reporter 8] The brothers had a blazing row.

[reporter 9] A reported fist fight.

"You had fights? Fuck. So you've got another brother?

Hey. Are you human?"

He'd pick a fight with his own toenails.

[Liam] He wants to be the man in charge.

He wants to be the main man who's doing it.

Fuck that.

I read in interviews that he's the greatest front man

of his generation, and like, I…

It's just Liam, he's out of control.

He's got issues.

We do get quite nasty towards each other.

He pulled out this rule book of, like…

Oasis. There's been a lot of hype around this one.
