Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas.
Go!
Our six remaining leading men face their most physical challenge yet.
I'm about to smoke these boys.
And just when they thought they'd been put through the ringer, it was just the
beginning. The talent show is your next star quality challenge.
Our leading men needed to show their talents on stage.
And in the interview chair.
Let's do it. Oh, I love it. Nice to meet you.
Ezra shined above all.
Ezra, congratulations.
While Hayden and Parker were both at risk for elimination.
Losing it here. Hold on one second. Parker, take your stocking down. You're
going home for the holidays.
But in a shocking twist.
I'm going to give you the opportunity to give Parker a second chance.
The choice is yours. Do you want to give Parker a chance to shine another day and
get back in this competition?
Or do you want to let him leave the competition for good?
Thinking about, should we give Parker another chance?
Take a moment to discuss. You don't have a lot of time.
Parker is a light in this group, but at the same time, I'm trying to get closer
to winning this competition.
This is a collective decision.
If one person says no...
He does not get a second chance.
I don't know what to do. I like Parker, and I don't want to see him go home, but
ultimately I'm trying to win this thing. So does it make sense for me to save
him? I don't know.
Oh.
Will you and the guys be giving Parker a second chance to compete to win the
title of Mr. Christmas?
Um.
You know, uh, we all looked around, and... I think we're pretty much in
agreement.
It's tough to see your brother walk away from an opportunity like this.
Absolutely. We want to give Parker a second chance.
Oh, my gosh.
We're all family here. Is that not beautiful?
Okay, you have all showed heart and compassion, which are major qualities of
being a Hallmark leading man.
Go get your guy.
Run! Don't let him take that stocking down! Go!
Don't let him go home for the holidays!
Stop it, man.
Even though this is a competition and Parker is an incredible competitor,
nothing but good will come from this. Absolutely give him a second chance.
I know Parker would have done it for us.
You get a second chance, you're staying with us. We voted as a brotherhood.
You ain't going nowhere.
Oh, you gotta be kidding me.
Like, this is amazing. They gave us the opportunity to vote, and it took
literally like .01 seconds.
I'm very grateful for the second chance.
The fact that they did that makes me feel loved and appreciated.
As much of a competition that this is, You make me a better competitor.
I cannot tell y'all thank you enough, man. I'm just going to bring my best
attitude and just try to keep bettering myself, try to keep learning, and be the
first Mr. Christmas.
Well, you're back now. How do you feel?
Dude, I'm ecstatic. You know,
it's down to six of us. I'm glad we were able to bring Parker back.
I think it's obvious that the competition is going to be, you know,
thick. Oh, yeah. There's not... I think everybody can agree there's not just one
frontrunner that's in front of everybody.
Everybody's kind of an even playing field here.
Oh, how'd you boys sleep?
So good, man. Oh, man.
Like, almost like paralysis, but with a smile. Does that make sense?
I was like, I don't know what's going on.
Interesting. Good. But with the full heart. Yeah. Yeah.
Appreciate you getting the workout with me, bro. Yeah, you're welcome.
There they are.
Finally. Whipped eggs.
Yeah. Hey, anybody want any food or anything?
What'd you make? Just some real basic scrambled eggs if you want something.
Some good breakfast? These big dogs need some protein.
Get on up. Blake and I just crushed a workout, so our appetites are... Let's
go. Appreciate it, Chad. Hey, bro. You wonder why we brought you back.
Good morning, boys.
How we feeling?
Good, man.
Jingle bell time.
Let's go.
The day has begun.
The day has begun.
Being in the middle of the world this entire competition is not my favorite
place to be.
I needed to catch the attention of the judges and win this competitive
advantage.
Ooh, something's bubbling.
Double bubble, these hunks are in trouble.
What are we doing here today?
Are we supposed to drink all that? Because I'm going to need some help. Hey
guys, welcome back to the Yuletide Yard.
And Parker, welcome back to the competition.
As you can see, only six of you remain, but only one of you is going to be
crowned Mr. Christmas.
In this face-off, you're going to be split into three teams of two. The goal
is to be the first team to have marshmallows overflow out of your mug of
hot cocoa.
But Jonathan, how will we do that?
Each team is going to have two ginormous marshmallows.
From the pot... One guy will get as much hot cocoa as he can into his
marshmallow, meet his teammate at the candy cane, and then transfer that hot
cocoa into his teammate's other giant marshmallow.
Then he'll run to this big old cup of cocoa and squeeze his marshmallow to
start filling up that cup.
Don't worry, we've already filled your cups a few inches from the rim.
Otherwise, we'd be here all day.
Win this and you'll get an advantage in your next star quality challenge.
We're going to get messy and physical.
It's kind of just in my wheelhouse, so I'm excited. Before I yell go, I need my
cup of joy with me, the one and only Melissa Peterman.
Oh, my gosh.
Now that I have my teammate here, let's find out your teammates.
Your teams have been randomly selected.
First team.
Elijah and Ezra. Let's go, baby.
Ezra's athletic.
This is a great partnership.
Jonathan, your teammate is Parker.
Yeah. Jonathan is awesome. I mean, he's a strong dude. He's quick.
I'm very excited to be partnering with him on this.
Hayden and Blake, you're together.
Let's go.
Blake and I have never won a festive face-off. So there's a lot at stake. And
boy, am I nervous.
Pressure is on, and so is the cocoa.
But why don't you guys go change your clothes? Because we don't want to ruin
these beautiful outfits.
Go! Run! Run like the wind!
Oh, this is my favorite part, just watching him run. I know.
All right, y'all. All your marks.
All right, guys.
You guys stretched?
Oh, very bendy. Good. Stretch it. Good.
Ready, set.
Yes, go Blakey All right, and then that's a good that's a good little whoa
Yeah Be patient with it. Yep. Yep. Yep. Go go go be careful Hayden every drop
is precious Go go go we go the first attempt literally yields about
I Got like nothing from that this isn't working That
was nothing all right perfect perfect We can be faster. We can be faster.
Come on!
Blake, Hayden, you've got something to prove here.
Coming from the world of athletics and football, you do not want it to be your
fault. Almost had a man down.
Blake fell down the last festive face-off, too. I hope that doesn't slow
him down because they are currently in the lead.
Parker and Jonathan's technique does not seem to be working.
That didn't look like much there, Jonathan.
Let's go. Good pace, good pace.
I realized to get the most cocoa, I need to have this marshmallow compressed.
Come on, come on, come on. So that it can expand and absorb the cocoa into
this other marshmallow.
There we go. There we go. That's a good one. Now I can maximize the most amount
of cocoa into the cup.
But remember, Melissa, the first team that gets a marshmallow over the rim of
their cup wins.
Squeeze it all the way.
The first couple times, I didn't recognize that Jonathan was just holding
his sponge open.
There it is. There it is. There it is. Jonathan, that looked good. Yeah, that
looked good, Jonathan.
They figured it out. The person collecting the liquid has to have the
marshmallow already squeezed.
See, I knew that because I saw your marshmallow TED talk.
Come on, guys.
This is a good one. Go.
There it is. There it is. Nice cocoa dough. Come on. Can I say that?
Come on. Come on. Nice, nice, nice.
Keep it up. Keep it up. Keep it up. Oh, yeah.
We're getting close. Go, go, go.
We're starting to soak up more hot chocolate in each pass.
So we got a chance.
Come on!
I got more, I got more.
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
We got to kick it into high gear because everybody's close. It's neck and neck. I
see the marshmallows start to rise. Looks like Elijah and Ezra are in the
lead. With Hayden and Blake caught on their heels in second and Parker and
Jonathan are still in third.
Oh, they are getting full. Those cups are getting full.
They are filling them up.
Hayden and Blake are so close to getting the marshmallows to overflow.
Parker and Jonathan are on their heels. Oh,
they're so close.
Squeeze it like you never squeezed it before.
Come on, come on. I'm not seeing any overflow yet. Do it, do it, do it, do
it, do it, do it. Come on, let's go, let's go, let's go. If we want to win,
this is the moment to do it.
Come on, so close.
Hayden and Blake, you've got it. What a shot! Your marshmallows are right at the
rim!
Your cup is almost runneth-ing over!
See how I did that? I did. You guys, those marshmallows are so close to the
top of the mugs! Yeah, go, go, go, go, go! Go, go, go, go, go now, go now!
Come on! Come on, Hayden and Blake! Oh! Come on, come on, come on!
Yes! Yes!
And they just won! Hayden and Blake just won!
Feels great. This being my first win of the competition, gained a little
confidence, and finally you get that win. They say it in sports all the time,
all you need is one.
Congratulations!
I am happy for them, but I wanted a win.
Today's winners are Hayden and Blake.
I'm so proud of my teammate. We earned that one. Congratulations to you both.
You're going to receive an advantage going into the Star Quality Challenge.
Finally! I won the festive face-off. I'm so stoked for Blake. He gets an
advantage. I get the advantage I've been looking forward to.
So, throw it at me. I'm ready.
Guys, we are more than halfway through this competition.
You need to be ready for anything.
And Parker, because you were saved, we're expecting even more from you.
I'm very nervous.
They gave me a second chance. I want to prove to the guys that it wasn't for
nothing.
Yo, it's snowing. Bro!
No way!
Come on.
You're lagging. Let's go.
Being from California, it doesn't snow, and it's just, like, genuinely super
exciting for me.
We're only just waiting on you, Blake.
All right, let's do this.
Okay.
What is up?
What are we talking about? Oh, wow.
It's a little fresh.
It's a little fresh.
Hit me.
He's open.
Mm-hmm.
Ez looks like he'd be good at football.
Right. Used to play. Big body.
Used to play in high school. I played quarterback in high school. We went
undefeated my senior year for the first time one state in school history.
I need some gloves.
That's the reason I can't throw it, because my hands are cold.
Yeah. Makes sense. Of course.
Oh, that would have been nice.
Here, go ahead, and I'll show you. Okay. Middle finger against the thread here.
Okay? Okay. Up and out.
That's it. Up and out. Okay.
Hayden, he's never learned how to throw a football, so it was really cool to be
able to show him how to throw. Up and out and through.
Like a pro.
Like a pro.
And just see the joy in his face when he figured it out and actually created his
first spiral.
Oh!
Nice catch. And the catch. Yeah!
Over the last couple of weeks, Blake and I have gotten pretty close, especially
after that awesome festive face-off win.
Woo! Oh, I forgot to tell you guys, Dax sent me a photo of him in his eyepatch.
Pirate Dax. Yeah, Pirate Dax.
It's Daxton.
We need to call him soon, check up on him. Yeah, bro.
Hi, man.
Oh, man, out on the open road once more. Yeah, boys.
Here we go.
Another acting challenge. It's like another one, we've got to go through it
all again.
After having gone through so many eliminations already, it's like at this
point, it's only getting harder and it's only going to hurt when somebody leaves.
It's so funny talking to my wife because she's like, you coming or staying?
And I'm like, babe, I'm still here.
I feel like especially after the second chance themed elimination, there is a
little bit.
of more importance added to this one. I don't know.
I agree.
This is a pretty big deal. Dude, it's like the stakes keep going up.
How are you feeling, man? You got a competitive advantage. I know. My first
ever advantage. To be honest, I'm wary.
I want to use it really well.
And I wonder if we'll get more time with our scene this time.
Am I the only one who hasn't won a festive challenge?
Let's see. Bears won the obstacle course. Has Blake got his first one?
Elijah won the... Has Parker won a festive face-off?
No. But he has been a shining star. The star quality challenge. I think
everybody's got one of those except for Blake and you, Jonathan.
You know. You probably have to step up this game.
Hey, bro. Tonight could be your night.
I'm going to lean in, be myself, continue to do what I'm doing, and make
sure I capture it on camera because that was the biggest thing for me.
you know, kind of missing out on some of the other ones.
Absolutely, man.
Going into this star quality challenge with an advantage is so, so valuable at
this point in the competition.
Especially after the ride I've been on and being in the bottom two, I'm
determined. Hey, guys. Welcome to the Christmas Cafe.
This is where you're going to be performing your next scene without
scripts.
What? Huh?
In the last Star Quality Challenge, we surprised you with an impromptu
interview with E! News.
Why was this your talent?
Completely blindsided. Some of you had a really hard time thinking on your feet.
I was, yeah, that's, all went well.
Well, anyway.
So for this Star Quality Challenge, we're doing improv!
Yeah!
No way!
I've never done improv, so this is going to be a huge learning experience for me.
As an actor, you have to be ready for anything.
Ever been in a play where your co-star forgot their lines and you just have to
go with it because you're live?
Improv is about rolling with the punches and more importantly, listening.
Before we go any further, let me introduce my favorite improviser,
Melissa Peterman.
I have to tell you, like, I come from improv, and improv is such a great skill
to have.
It's made me a better actor, and that's our goal for you.
And if having Melissa isn't enough, I also invited a guest judge. He's a
Hallmark star, and he's my co-star from The Groomsmen, a great improviser, the
one and only B.J. Britt.
I gotta give a hug! I gotta give a hug! I'm ecstatic to see B.J.
come out of the cafe today like he's a black leading man.
That's what I want to be.
Guys, it's so good to see you all. I've heard nothing but great things. For this
test, you will be working in pairs.
Blake, you and Hayden won the festive face-off, which means you also won the
advantage. You will pick the pairs and the order in which you perform.
Just remember, you're going in as pairs, but you're being judged individually.
This is not a team event.
I don't care what order I'm in. I don't care what partner I have. I am going to
do great in this competition.
Be right back. Real quick.
Okay.
Let's make it snappy.
Yep, great.
Blake and I want to stay together.
We've come off a festive face-off win. We're thinking we can put a good
improvisation forward.
Okay, we're back. All right, Blake, Hayden, who's the first team going?
Yeah, I think we want to go first. You and Hayden are a team. We're just going
to do it.
So me and Hayden are going to go first.
Yeah. There's no script.
So based on knowing that, Blake and I just decide let's go first.
Let's just go and get it done. We're going to put Parker and Elijah together.
All right.
And Ezra and Jonathan bringing us up in the end.
All right.
Improv is not my game at all. So I'm ecstatic Blake put me with him because I
can hopefully feed off of what he brings to every competition.
You drive the boat. I'm along for the ride. All right, great.
I feel this immense pressure.
It's pretty high stakes, especially when we just saved Parker.
Okay, so this is how our improv challenge is going to work.
You won't get your character details, your name.
occupation, and small quirk until you walk into the scene.
You will have to perform your quirk when you hear either bells or a telephone
ring.
You'll need to take this character information and use it to fuel what you
say and what you do in the scene as well as move the scene along.
If I tell you that, you know, you're an astronaut holding a cat in a carrier,
you be that person. You be it totally, fully committed.
Okay. We're judging you on your ability to listen, React and think on your feet.
I think there's beauty in creating something out of thin air. I probably do
a little too much improv because when there's a script you're supposed to
stick to, I tend to add things that when I read the script, I'm like, oh, this
would be good here.
You guys are going to have a lot of fun.
Let's go.
Oh, and by the way, you have some great scene partners.
Myself, Melissa, and BJ will be in the scene with you.
Oh! That changes everything.
For the quirks, the timing is going to be random.
So the bell makes... Jingle bells will make Blake have to act like Santa Claus.
And when the phone rings, Hayden will have to thumb wrestle somebody.
Producers are handling the phone ringing, and I'll give the guys their
quirks up at the register.
Great. Well, let's stop talking and get to working. Okay.
Up first, Hayden and Blake.
Action.
Hey. How you doing? Hey, Eli. How's it going?
I'm doing great.
How's the local bookstore that you own?
It's going great. Sales are up better than ever.
Here we go. You just get thrown into the room and you have to make it up as it
goes. Your quirk is?
Every time you hear jingle bells, you act like Santa Claus.
Okay. Go meet my friends.
Every time I hear the jingle bells, I have to act like Santa Claus. Caught me
off guard to say the least, but at the end of the day, I didn't know what to
expect anyways.
Melissa. I'm Eli.
I own a bookstore.
I would love a copy of The Christmas Kringle. Well, when you turn your other
books back in and pay your fine, I'll get it right to you, okay?
You still haven't turned those books in? She haven't mentioned that to you, has
she? No, she... I mean, it's not a library. It's a bookstore. I mean, and
he still finds us. I think that's just so weird.
We do rentals, too, but it's okay. I know you're embarrassed about it. It's
okay. Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.
Whoa.
It is Jackson.
So good to see you. Thank you for coming from your... of being a holiday candle
maker. Holiday candle maker? Yes. Your quirk is every time the phone rings, you
try to thumb wrestle someone.
Go say hi to my friends. Oh, I would love to. This is crazy.
My mind's running through a thousand different options of what we could
possibly be doing. Oh, my.
Oh, my gosh. It is so amazing to see you. You look fabulous, might I add.
Thank you. I beaded it myself.
You know what? I hope to get one of those beautiful pearls on the way out.
It's so good to see you. How's your mom?
Oh, mom's great. She's been helping me in the candle store for a very long
time. I'm the bookstore.
He's the candle store. And we design all kinds of candles. Believe it or not,
these are candles. Ring the phone. Ring the phone. My quirk is I'm compelled to
thumb wrestle people when the phone rings.
With a hidden wick.
Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!
Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!
Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!
Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!
Ow!
I should have known. I looked at those thumbs and I knew they were too
beautiful to be... Gorgeous.
Speaking of wax candles.
Yes. Why don't you get some wax, melt it, wrap this beautiful man's hands.
Okay, okay. What are you waiting for?
I see a jar of jelly.
And my first thought was to act like we're putting the thumb in the jelly
like it's the magic cure. Give me a thumb! Give me a thumb! Oh! Oh! Oh,
there it is! He found it in his first aid book. Jelly works well on thumbs.
Yes. Ketchup on the midfingers. I've heard mustard is great for a headache.
They're doing so well. Blake and Hayden both nailed their quirks, and they keep
advancing the story.
Would you like some thumb recovery as well? Oh, because they're so giant, you
think you can shrink them? We may need a few packs for those.
Oh, very funny!
You know what?
You're never going to see that book money again, buddy. Merry Christmas to
you, Santa. Merry Christmas to you.
Hi,
John. Interesting friends you have here.
Interesting friends.
Will you please take these to the children's orphanage and deliver these
cookies, please? Right away. I will. We'll see you later.
Oh, oh, oh, Merry Christmas. If I wanted a library, I'd go to the library.
Exactly. I feel pretty confident. I feel pretty happy about this challenge. There
was a great flow between everybody.
We just kept the motion going. I'll see you in the hospital.
You monster.
I'm so happy with how that went,
especially after being in the bottom two last week. It felt really good. And I
had an absolute blast.
Elijah and Parker, you're up next.
Let's go, Libby. Action.
BJ, I said, you know, I said, this Christmas, I'm not going to let another
Christmas pass until I tell him how I feel.
Oh. Hey.
Hey. Eli, so good to see you. Great to see you. Thank you for coming to help.
How is the local tree farm that you own? Well, you know, we got some pine, some
spruce. You do. It's going great.
Improv is like...
going to this grocery store and just throwing everything into a basket and
taking it home and seeing what you make out of all the ingredients you got at
the store. Your quirk is... Every time you hear jingle bells, you go, pow, pow!
You know, it's my favorite thing to do when I hear jingle bells. It's your
favorite thing to do around the holidays. Go say hi to my friends.
Hey, how's it going?
My strategy is to just be as open as possible and just kind of like... build
and piggyback off of Melissa and BJ.
Remember the handshake? Yeah, you know it.
There it is.
Are you the raised son?
I am.
Wait, you own the tree farm. Yes, I do. So if you need your trees, we got you.
You know what? Show the move, show the move. Show the move, tree chopper. You
got to build it up. So it starts down low, down low, and then chop.
So good to see you, Jackson.
How is the local toy store that you own?
It's going fantastic.
All I have to do is just be ready for anything.
and don't worry about rushing it your quirk is every time the phone rings you
clump like a chicken take it a moment by moment and listen to what your
co-stars are saying my friends are over there bj melissa hey friends hey yo how
you doing jackson yes yes how are you i was your son teacher
subject but she made it so fun how's everything big Oh
wonderful I'm home just visiting and here with me you know Jonathan owns a
shop no no no BJ I blanked out there for a second
I need a not Jonathan yeah okay all right Parker
had his back to the camera a little bit
I'm worried about Parker's back.
But he'll think of it. He'll think of it.
If it's not on the camera, it doesn't count. I was going to ask you, any
children? Children?
You have any children?
Listen, kids of my own, I got a toy store.
So anytime you want to come by, I'd be more than happy to help.
So there's a little bit of a lull in the scene.
It's epic.
That was my nickname in high school. And the best part is...
It's all Christmas.
All of these great things that happened beforehand, I'm starting to feel slip
away and I'm nervous.
You know, if you need any wood for any new toys, I got a tree farm. I can give
you exclusive.
You ready?
Come on, find your camera, man. Find your camera.
Every time the phone rings, Parker does his chicken, but he turns the wrong way.
He turns away from camera.
We want to see that face on camera.
Eli, I need your help. Can you please take these donuts to my Aunt Peggy's
house? All right, give it to Aunt Peggy.
It was nice to meet you. It was nice meeting y'all. I'll see you. Jackson,
can you please take this to my Aunt Debbie's house? Y'all have a good one.
Thank you, Jackson.
Man, it would be amazing to come out with a win today, especially after being
eliminated last time. You feel relieved? I do, I do. I wish I would have found
more ways to play and connect a little bit. And see, I don't feel like we led
enough. I feel like they were doing a lot, and I wish we would have gotten an
opportunity to do a little more.
Working with a scene partner, you just have to depend on each other and match
each other's energy. You did great, though.
You set me up, and I was like, oh my God, yes, thank you.
I did the best that I could, but I'm not feeling confident that I am staying here
tonight.
What do they got for us?
Receive it.
Give it back. Give it back a little bit higher.
Right. Bro, you know, like, Ultimate Frisbee, or like, if you're both
running. and we're both jogging nice and easy, you lead me a little bit.
Yeah. We're both running, so I'm going to lead you back a little bit.
Having Jonathan as a scene partner is amazing because we had the first Star
Quality Challenge together.
That already is an advantage. Even if it's kind of serious, I feel like we can
easily go there with each other. Yeah.
Action. Hello.
Oh, hey, Eli. So good to see you. You too. You know what's so funny? How is
the local tree farm that you own? It's getting busier every day.
I've never done any improv before.
Already, that's daunting.
Your quirk is every time you hear jingle bells, you scream, I'm back, baby.
Must be hard for you to do that, right?
It does have its moments, but I'm glad that we know each other so well to go
say hi to my friends, Melissa and BJ. I got to work on the cookies.
Melissa and BJ, you're friends with him?
Wait a minute. No.
No. No.
No. No. No.
No. No. No.
I haven't changed a bit.
Haven't I?
No, you haven't changed. You look exactly the same.
I'm back, baby, I'm back. We know you're back, you're right here.
Wait, did your dad, do you still, the tree farm, is that you?
Exactly. What was the jingle that you all do?
What's the tree farm jingle? What's the tree farm jingle? Get your tree down the
lane. It will be a joy not pain.
Ever. Yes.
Melissa just keeps cracking me up.
But at the same time, at such a pace that it's kind of hard to keep up with.
You know what? His new job is managing the Christmas parade.
What? I have not done improv before, but life
requires a lot of improv.
People coming up to you, saying random things to you. This is my friend
Jackson. He is the local choir director.
And every time he hears the phone ring, he flexes aggressively.
After seeing the other competitors' quirks through the window, I'm like, me
aggressively flexing?
I'm gonna knock this out the park. Well, hi, Jackson.
How we doing?
I guess not everybody can join your choir.
Oh, she's still mad about that. What? She's still mad about that.
You are always welcome to join my choir.
No, no, no.
Instead of advancing the story that he kicked Melissa out of the choir,
Jonathan told her she could join.
What if? And now Melissa has to come up with something new.
What if? We got the choir to learn your...
tree farm jingle, we use that and we sing that jingle in the Christmas
parade. We can do it. I mean, you'll help, right? You'll help. Oh, excuse me.
I will absolutely help. I'll be back, baby.
I will absolutely help. And I'll bring some friends, too.
Come on, can they come?
I want people who are strong. If that jacket's too tight, take it off.
She said take the jacket off.
Seems like Jonathan's not listening.
We know we're not supposed to say no.
You have to keep the story moving forward.
I'm worried at this point, because that's the most important part of
improv. Y'all bring my friends, you'll bring your friends.
You got some friends too?
Eli,
will you please help me take these to my Uncle Doug's house? He's waiting on
them. Okay. You remember Uncle Doug.
Of course. He's diabetic. Yeah, he is. Make sure these are sugar free. Okay.
I'm feeling a little nervous because I really wanted to connect with Melissa
and BJ and kind of just be on their flow of things.
I could feel that I wasn't doing it.
Jackson, can you please help me? Will you take these to my brother Anathan's
house? Don't let Melissa near him.
No, let's do this together.
Yes? Actually, go together. Let's do it together.
Just you?
Oh, my gosh. I want to see Anathan.
I finished the scene, and I feel like I did a great job. I came in there. I was
authentic. I brought presence.
Going into the simulation, I feel like I could be at the top. I think if I had
time over, I would try and progress a story.
Yeah. Like...
That's hard to do when you've got multiple things happening. There was so
much energy in this room. It was a lot. It was a lot. It really was.
And some of our guys really stood out. Let's talk about Hayden. And these giant
babies loved it. I give them two thumbs up.
Legendary. Two thumbs up to Hayden. The thumb war, like, by the way, I loved it.
You love when people just hit a home run. I thought that Blake, who I said in
the beginning, Blake's attitude in general is always like, okay, let's do
it. Oh, oh, oh, there it is.
Working with their partner and working off of their partner was very huge for
me. I have to say, Parker, who is a model, he didn't find his camera.
Tension very well. No.
Normally in improv, you're not thinking about your camera, but this is what
we're here for. We're here to see your face on camera. Right.
You're so good in front of the camera.
Thanks, man. Elijah.
He took everything that we were giving him, and he just went with it. Down low,
and then cha! There it is. Cha! He fully committed.
I love that he did something physical, too. He wasn't, you know, playing it
safe. Did you feel like I was talking too much to the improv, or everyone kind
of... No, it was passing back and forth.
What did you think of Jonathan and Ezra?
I think Jonathan might have missed a few cues.
If that jacket's too tight, take it off.
She said take the jacket off!
What I tried to give to Jonathan right away was, I'm so mad at you. I wanted
him to listen and go with it. Like, you're mad at me? I'm mad at you. I
guess not everybody can join your choir.
You are always welcome to join my choir.
I wanted him to go with that because that could have gotten the scene
started. And I think that made things harder for Ezra.
I'll bring my friends. You'll bring your friends.
You got some friends? I think Ezra wasn't a knockout. It was their first
time for most.
And even though some cues were missed, I think we have to take that into
consideration. If that's the last thing I do, the fact I did it with you, mate,
I'm like super stoked.
It was a lot of fun. This is going to be tough. I don't want to send anyone home.
Heading into elimination tonight, I'm feeling nervous because part of being a
growing actor, especially a leading man, is being adaptable, flexible in scenes.
And I'm a little scared. I don't feel like I accomplished that today.
I do not have nerves running like I did last week. I didn't have a lot of
experience with improv, but I feel like I did pretty well for my first time.
Hey guys, I cannot tell you enough. The competition is getting harder and
harder, and tonight, one of you will be headed home for the holidays.
We all know that at the end of the competition, only one of you will leave
with a role in a Hallmark holiday movie and be crowned.
Mr. Christmas.
For today's Star Quality Challenge, you were asked to perform an improv scene in
pairs.
But you were judged individually on your listening skills, your commitment to
character, and adaptability.
BJ, how was it hanging out with our guys doing improv?
It was an amazing experience.
It's not easy. I know growing up, they tell you to think before you act.
Improv, you're doing the exact opposite. You're acting before you think. Some of
you made it look effortless.
Blake, you listened.
committed to the scene, and left your co-stars wowed. When you turn your other
books back in and pay your fine, I'll get it right to you, okay?
You still haven't turned those books in? She hasn't mentioned that to you, has
she? No. I was hoping you were going to be great at this, and you were, because
your attitude is always like, sure, never done it, but I'm going to jump
right in with both feet. Thank you. It was really cool to do it with the pros.
Elijah. You immediately embodied the character we assigned to you. Chop.
Chop. Chop.
Okay. It's all about the follow-through. It's all about the follow-through. And
if this suit wasn't so tight, I would do it.
Chop. Chop. Everyone's doing it.
It's going to sweep the nation.
Hayden, you're a performer by nature.
You were fearless and fully committed to thumb wrestling.
They just can't stop themselves.
Just go!
Just go!
You just embodied what improv is. It's about being able to jump in and being
able to play.
Loved watching that. Knowing you guys and Blake were on the inside already
having a great time actually made it really kind of relaxing once I entered
the room.
Literally pat yourselves on the back. You guys did amazing. I'm proud of you
all. But there can only be one winner.
Tonight's shining star is...
Elijah, congratulations.
Today you were quick on your feet, you listened, and you didn't play it safe.
Great job.
Thank you.
This is the second time you've been our shining star.
You're out here showing them what it takes to be Mr. Christmas. I am beyond
proud of myself in this moment.
I really can't believe that I won that star quality challenge.
I've really realized that I have to stop counting myself out.
Now, the hard part.
Two of you are on thin ice and at risk of leaving the competition.
Improv isn't easy. It's coming down to the smallest of nuances of each and
every performance.
It really is.
I'm scared.
I have not made my mark here yet, and I do not want to go home.
Jonathan and Parker, will you please step forward?
Oh, the familiar spot.
Last week, the guys gave me a second chance. Being back on the chopping block
feels like I let them down.
Jonathan, this is the first time you've been in the bottom two.
Parker, this is your third time.
Jonathan, on two different occasions, you're seeing partners teed you up. I
was going to give you a gift if I'm so mad at you, and I felt like you didn't
take that in and move that part of the story forward. You are the
professionals, and I trust your judgment.
I'm going to sit here and, you know, take feedback and adjust if I have
another chance.
Parker, today you had a hard time finding your camera. But even when you
did, it felt like you played it kind of safe.
Jonathan and Parker, one of you will be going home tonight.
I didn't execute my game plan going into it. I'm a little disappointed in myself.
I'm not ready to go home.
I feel like I have so much more to give and so much more to find how good I
could be.
Unfortunately, Parker, the guys gave you a second
chance, but you just did not take advantage of it. It's time to take your
stocking down.
You're going home for the holidays.
Jonathan, you can join the others.
I am going to miss learning and becoming better friends with these guys. Our
relationship runs deep now.
To make it this far and to be offered an opportunity after grinding
for so many years and then just meeting these guys and meeting you all.
It's been a wonderful, wonderful time.
I'm proud of you. Thank you. I'm very proud of you.
It takes a lot of heart.
Okay? It takes a lot of heart. I'm proud of you. Thank you. Okay?
Keep up the great work.
Thank you. Thank you.
Come on.
Love you.
Enjoy that, kid.
Yeah.
Your son is going to be so proud of you. Thank you.
Every father's dream is to have their son look at them.
Like they're the hero. Like he's looking up at the hero of his life.
So feeling sad that I'm going home.
But also happy that I'm going home. I haven't seen my family for a while. So
there's always a silver lining. This has truly been an incredible, life-changing
experience for me.
And it's been an amazing road.
Guys, from this point on, your friendships are going to be tested as we
continue to lose people we care about.
I'll see you next week as we continue the hunt for finding Mr. Christmas.
