Original subtitles

Civilians must stay away.

You must get away from here.

If they do not stay where they are, they will be detained.

Franklin, keep these people behind.

Do not let them pass.

How much time?

A maximum of one week. Three days to go, one night...

- and three days to get back. - You promise?

Baby will be born in a month. I'll be here.

You keep taking your taking prednisone.

Sarah will come every day.

Don't forget Chris and Tony.

Do not forget this.

Jimmy?

Wild horses couldn't stop me.

The Z-28 waits for a clutch. Intrepid is fast.

- What else? - Brakes for the Barracuda.

Cory can get it.

Look at this, it's beautiful.

- Does the air intake work? - Of course.

Those of '71 are complicated. But when you take care of them...

they're okay.

- How's your wife? - Still the same.

Could you make some breads?

Take it easy, Kowalski. Doctor Synder...

want the new engine broken in, not broken.

Right?

Drive at full speed, but do not break my car.

- It's ok? - OK.

Yes, Dad.

Hello, Jim. How was your trip?

This is for me. My bus leaves in the morning.

- Can I sleep here? - No problem.

Let me see if there's anything going north.

There is a Hemi Challenger '70 in Santa Fe.

- You need a map. - Hemi?

- Hemi. - Where?

Salt Lake City. I have a map.

Tomorrow I will have the car here, we prepare it...

and you can earn another $600 on the way home.

- Hello? - Are you okay, love?

Hello, dear. Yes I'm fine.

You will not have a new outbreak, will you?

No no. I'm tired.

How'd you like to have a baby in the hospital instead of home?

Can we afford it?

I can make a delivery to Salt Lake City if you want.

Oh that's wonderful.

But it means I will not be home until Monday.

I'll call you when I can.

I will survive okay.

I will be here.

I love you.

Goodbye.

I love you too.

Goodbye.

I accept.

Hemi Challenger is great.

It's just a car.

What?

Did your Honda come in regularly?

- Yes. - Is it fast?

Let me explain something to you.

A 1970 Hemi Challenger is not "just a car".

It's the apotheosis...

of American muscle car technology okay.

A reminder of when we were number 1.

Whatever. Tell me when it's over.

Some people do not get it.

This car is class.

Why does not the owner take you in a trailer?

You're cheaper.

This is the voice of the Rockies...

by the KBHX station.

Ladies and gentlemen...

- The voice. - That's right, citizens.

This is "The Voice" that brings you the truth...

instead of misinformation. Facts instead of fluffs.

And true music, no mindless noise and nonsense...

you find everywhere else

This is what John Doe does...

with a little melody called "Volunteers".

- Sarah? - Hello?

My wife does not answer the phone.

Where are you, Jim?

Sarah, is that you or not?

In Gallup, New Mexico. Because? What happened?

When can you be here?

It is 1900 kilometres. What is going on?

The infection got worse. It's very bad, Jim.

You can lose the baby.

Where is it?

In Saint John, in Boise.

Where are you?

Tell her to take it.

I'll be there tonight.

Damn it.

Please.

- Officers, the belt... - Stay quiet.

Silence, put your hands behind your head...

and turn around.

You know, a routine traffic stop guy...

someone attacks you, that's how Burt Travis got killed

You were going at 102 miles an hour.

You stopped and resisted.

- I did not resist, my wife... - Silence.

You will see the judge.

For what?

Watch him.

What's the problem?

All offenders have to go to the station...

after bail.

Is it also routine to beat offenders?

You should stay in your car with your hands in view.

How long will it take?

It depends on your mood.

Great. My wife is sick.

Shut up and look for the document.

It's not your car, right?

It's in the glove compartment.

- What are you doing? - Are you going to shoot me?

Hey, stop, stop the engine.

Come on. Move, rookie.

Come on.

79-11, heading North. The suspect's car...

is a Dodge Challenger white of the year 70 or 71...

with New Mexico licence plate. K-S-Z...

6-2-0. I request 10-29...

and 10-36 of the suspect driver...

Kowalski, Jimmy.

79-11, report. Negative.

10-29 and 10-36...

of the suspect Kowalski, Jimmy.

We have nothing on it.

Fucking bike.

79-11, please, answer.

Sorry, miss. How can I get to Boise now?

- Now? - Yes.

I can find out.

Yes, we now have Flight 6-37 that goes to Boise...

with a stop in Salt Lake City.

- When are you leaving? - At 3:30.

Very well. Yes. How much?

At 3:30 tomorrow.

- Have to go now. - It must be an emergency.

Yes thanks.

Hey wait. There's a guy named Jeff Taylor rents charters.

He could take you, but it is not direct.

- Where is he now? - I'll call him at home.

I'm 6-15.

Here we have a white Challenger.

What's the sign?

New Mexico Board. We have a chase.

Just got into the junk yard.

All units.

Unit 3, another route.

This is a request for all available units.

76-15, are you okay?

Unit 3 speaks. There was a big explosion.

Send the firemen, fast.

Firefighters are on their way.

Are you all right?

Voice? What do you tell me about the tax office?

The tax office? Do not tease me.

The sixteenth amendment has never been well ratified.

Labour compensation is not a ticket...

you understand? Read the Constitution.

It is the supreme law in this country.

Rights carry responsibilities.

The sabre is power. It's either take

it or leave it. Now, listen to this.

I need to talk to my wife. She's a patient.

Raphinia Kowalski.

Kowalski. K-O-W...

There's Challenger.

It's him.

It sped past, now it's Colorado's problem.

It is understood. We'll talk to Colorado.

Beautiful car.

You do not see many '70 Challengers.

I heard that in New Mexico they chased one today.

- Oh really? - Yes.

It captures all sorts of things.

Are you a soldier?

I was.

He disobeyed a direct recall order.

I called for air strikes to destroy the tanks.

Do you like to work alone? To play cowboy?

I've been here for nine months. I know what's going on.

This war is over, Sergeant.

The military is downsizing.

You ought to think about a career change.

As soon as my itch is over I'm gone, sir.

Dismissed.

Kowalski?

I think you'll need it.

And you?

Marines.

We think the rangers are gay.

So do you.

You're right.

What else do you need?

The scanner.

I can order one unless you are in a hurry.

A little.

You need to know what man is capable of.

We all need.

It's the sad truth.

New Mexico, this is Colorado, we have no news of the Challenger.

Coming here?

Colorado, this is New Mexico.

New Mexico.

The Challenger was last seen heading north.

Unit 47-17...

Colorado.

Heading South 1-45 in Cortez.

There are no news of the Dodge Challenger '70 white.

This is Unit 29.

Arizona.

Someone reported a guy...

in an old car going fast to the West by 1-60.

What do you think? Some error?

In the old West, the fugitives...

they used fast horses to escape the law...

and hid themselves in vast wild lands.

In the Great Depression, the bad guys used Fords V-8...

by rural paths and borders two states...

to circumvent the law.

Today, with satellites, computers...

the urbanisation, the routes of restricted access...

there's nowhere to run...

and hide.

But there is a man who has not received the message.

He has already crossed 3 states and

no one has been able to stop him.

We do not know if he's out for a walk...

or if you are on a mission.

But we will observe what will happen.

This song is for the Challenger man.

We'll see who rejoices.

Rejoice, brother.

Hello, sergeant.

Gill.

Did you hear about this guy walking through Arizona?

Yeah. You think he's an addict?

What I know is that it's terrifying everyone.

He's in Utah now.

- At where? - In Monument Valley.

Come on.

No Charger?

Yes. We can not stop him in a broken Chevy.

It takes a big car to pick up another big car.

- Of course. - Bring the shotgun.

I'm Sergeant Preston, I'm south on 1-63...

in the Monument Pass. I changed the car...

and I'm in position to intercept the suspect.

It is understood, Sergeant Preston. Go carefully.

If we're lucky, it'll be quick.

Get in the car.

What are you going to do?

End this chase.

Chuck, what are you doing?

Chuck.

This guy is crazy. You're totally crazy.

Yes.

Let the helicopter follow you until the gas runs out.

You are kidding? He's an expert.

Come on north on 1-63. We request reinforcements...

and air support.

In Blanding there will be more reinforcements.

It needs maintenance.

What about the helicopter?

Put it in the air.

Chuck, eat on slow. We do not have to do this.

Relax, Gilmore.

I have many trophies for competing with cars.

Chuck, enough. He's a runner, not a killer.

The governor ordered the offenders to be detained

by any means, before arriving in populated areas.

- What populated areas? - We're near Blanding.

Blanding? With 50 inhabitants?

He was referring to Salt Lake City, for God's sake.

High.

Chuck, be careful.

Obstacle.

Curse.

Where are you?

Can I talk to her?

Are not you on a plane?

I'm in southern Utah.

No, I'm... It's a long story.

He's in surgery.

Do not know.

What possibilities?

They did not tell me. But they seem to be calm.

We 're not sure.

And the baby?

You have to get here, Jim.

I'm on my way.

Hurry up.

I'm on my way.

Hang on.

Yes, come quickly.

I'm on my way.

Stay calm. We'll get you out of there.

It will be too late.

How do you know?

When your friends arrive...

he will have hanged himself trying to escape.

You are crazy.

If he attacks me, he shoots.

I do not want to shoot the lion.

Said to shoot me.

Why can not it be like all the crazy ones?

Good.

Who are you?

Kowalski, James.

Rural pathway 3, Chilli, Idaho.

Former soldier, he won a bronze star.

- Police background? - He was in jail for 9 months.

By drugs.

Either they're drugs or they're weapons.

Sir?

- You're dealing with them. - Why guns?

Idaho adorned it. Extremists.

Right militias. It is.

Now we can intervene. Internal terrorism.

This boy may be carrying explosives.

Planning an attack like that of Oklahoma.

It could be, sir. But we have no proof of this.

We will. He crossed 4 states.

Must be something important.

My mother is...

My mother used drugs. I've never met my father.

Yes. My mother ran off with a lawyer when I was 5.

My father was an explorer.

- Oh really? - Yes.

He died drunk in Nevada, pounding gold.

It makes me think we're meant for each other.

Are you Catholic?

Do not.

If you want to stay with me...

will have to convert.

Do you really believe that?

- In all this? - Do not tell me.

The only one you believe is in a Hemi 426?

I do not think I understand.

If something bad beat it on an engine, I can repair it.

But we are not like that.

I do not trust things that do not carry a manual.

Engines do not require love.

They do not give it either.

I know it's not good.

Do what you can.

- Come on. - Come on home?

Chuck?

We've done a lot, it's outside our jurisdiction.

Come on, get in the car. It's a direct order.

I'm Sergeant Preston.

What do you guys know about Challenger?

Go ahead, Sergeant Preston.

The Challenger was seen on Route 95 West...

in the Glen Canyon area.

Negative, Sergeant Preston.

We'll keep looking.

An FBI helicopter is on its way.

Let me talk to the boss.

Is sleeping. Do you want the chord?

Negative.

I'll call you in the morning.

It is understood. I unplug.

Listen, citizens.

This is the United States, year 1996.

The FBI joined the hunt...

of our man with Challenger, Kowalski.

Why the government sends a helicopter...

behind a speedy motorist?

Our new statute of internal counter-terrorism.

If you drive fast you are a threat...

for the welfare of our great republic.

The Bill of Rights is long forgotten.

He ends up in line, looks at the ground and closes his mouth.

Because if you put yourself on the wrong side of Uncle Sam...

your darling will be over.

You could moderate it a little.

- Because? - To make room for...

in case this guy traffics drugs.

Salt Lake City, we are west of 95.

In the Glen Canyon area.

We identify the... No, this is negative.

Today we are where the fugitive works.

Mr Moss, could you give us your opinion of the situation?

It's an absolute whip.

Kowalski did nothing.

He wants to be with his wife. She's hospitalised.

- You have a difficult birth. - There they are.

Guy Ashley for CNN.

We return. Those who saw CNN...

they know what Kowalski's problem is all about.

He just wants to be with his wife when his son is born.

A few years ago the police would escort him...

instead of trying to catch him.

I want to inform you of the fugitive's investigation.

James Kowalski. This guy is a criminal.

He was arrested for injuries and has ties to narcotics.

Also possible links to right-wing groups...

of the Idaho racist militia.

He endangered public safety, wounded police officers...

and destroyed public and private property.

It is considered armed and dangerous.

And I assure you, we will not rest...

until he is brought to justice.

Do not move, Jim.

Come on, boy. Put your head there.

Very well.

Thank you, Jim.

That's easy money.

- Who are you? - My name is Mose.

- How do you know my name? - Did not know.

I call Jim everyone.

What do you do with snakes?

Seeing.

For coffee, sugar, cigarettes...

salt, flour and beans. Lots of beans, Jim.

You live here?

I am the original mouse of the desert.

Of the dark skin type.

I know these mountains as you know your girl's ass.

You are lost?

Or are you running away from someone?

I'm not lost.

We must hide your car.

What?

There are helicopters approaching.

- I do not see anything. - Blacks.

It means they're federal or military.

You must be a really ma...

I'm like "Dillinger."

Another set of footprints.

It's running out of fuel.

He may be there.

It looks like another buggy or an ATV.

- If the summer draws nearer. - Keep your head down...

and have faith.

Come on stock up and we'll be back.

And there it went like the wind.

Come on.

- Thank you, Mose. - You're welcome, Jim.

For this we are on earth to help.

What can I do for you?

- Leave me on "The Res". - Very well.

Bertall Ski, 21 open lanes, 4 lifts...

3 slopes just for snowboarding.

- Thank you. - You need sleep, Voice.

Not yet.

Yeah, I'm talking about Chicago.

They 're in the air.

Welcome, officer.

I'm a cop.

I have information about Kowalski and drugs.

Your mother was a fool.

Very well.

A crackpot addict. You're late on your payments.

Kowalski was arrested for hitting the dealer.

The FBI says Kowalski was a drug dealer.

As always, the government does not know what to say.

The dealer had a brother in the business.

So Kowalski was arrested. This is the real story.

You've heard, citizens.

The truth about Kowalski's background.

Things are not what they seem, right?

Here.

Mose, good to see you.

Did not say. That's nice.

Show respect.

The Spirit of the serpent has power.

In war, medicine...

in the pursuit of vision.

The one who does all things...

wants you to become a man.

You accept?

I need some fuel.

You need more than this to get where you're going.

Do you know who I am?

I watch CNN.

You know I'm in a hurry. Your journey has purified you.

Your white car symbolises white clay...

that my people used to prepare themselves...

for the pursuit of sight.

He hid somewhere between Glen Canyon...

and the Orie Reservation.

Your luck is about to end.

All roads that leave the area are covered.

Speech helicopter 1. We have fuel...

and we're flying.

It is understood, helicopter 1.

James, I baptise you...

in the name of the Father...

and the Son...

and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

The lion is your spirit guide.

He seeks the untravelled path.

Once this world was se...

Now you have little space to wander.

What happens when you run out of space?

Then your spirit seeks to free itself.

The Horned Lizard can tell you which way to go.

This lizard says you go west.

I'm going north.

Go West, through the Salt Lake Desert.

- Then go north. - It's a difficult territory.

It will be difficult for the police to follow you there.

The police have helicopters.

Helicopters can not fly in high winds.

Why do you do this for me?

The federal government called you an enemy.

I call you my friend.

Do you believe in eternal darling?

My wife did.

But and you?

I'm working on it.

Moss, Mike Moss.

I am Kowalski's companion.

We have a workshop called "The Double M"...

in Sun Valley, Idaho. We rebuilt...

Well, Mike, I understand.

The best "robust cars".

Five years.

How long have you known him?

Is he racist?

It's my best friend.

Yes, and I'm married to Cindy Crawford.

Kowalski is not racist and does not belong to any militia.

As far as I know, he does not even have a gun.

Thanks for clearing up, Mike.

Kowalski...

You will be happy to know that the citizens...

are laying the foundation for a movement to support you.

But do not be too happy.

Because the government is not happy.

Want to turn the lone wolf into a puppy.

The central routes of Utah are blocked.

And the eye is in the sky, therefore you must disappear.

Challenger Surveillance, KBHX, 96.

Tell your congressman that the FBI leaves you alone.

I'm Kowalski.

Wait, do not cut me.

Other.

Why do not you call the Inquirer and imitate Elvis?

Because I've been running for 36 hours...

and I do not have time to do nonsense.

Hang on.

A possible Kowalski, line 3.

Is that a joke?

When you're looking for the FBI...

for wanting to get home, I expected someone to laugh.

Kowalski, listen to me, they do not know where you are...

but I assure you they have the Saint John hospital covered.

I must be there. My wife may be dying.

You will not reach.

You want me to surrender?

Good idea.

No. You can get a lawyer. Try to enter into an agreement.

No deal, Voice. You must surrender.

Lawyers need time and I miss this.

Must be a cell phone. Call Frank Fischer from the NSA.

Get the time of a satellite. I traced the signal.

How will I distract you?

Saying that the credibility of the government...

is at stake. With Waco and Ruby Ridge...

we can not allow Kowalski to embarrass us.

Now come on work.

We know he's not a criminal...

nor a Nazi, so I'll let you go your way.

- Wait, I have a question. - Say it.

Some cops chased me in a '68 Charger...

and suffered an accident. Was someone injured?

Only your pride, as far as I know.

Good.

Want to say something else?

I just never wanted this to be so.

I'm not a hero or a symbol of anything.

I'm someone who wants to go back with his family.

He's a stray bullet and we have to stop him.

Relax, Gill. Maybe you're up for this.

I'll get them transferred to Zion...

to guard the two moose migratory routes.

Saint John Hospital.

With Dr Nazrin, please. I'm Jim Kowalski.

One moment, please.

It's for you.

I'm Dr Nazrin, Mr Kowalski.

How is she, doctor?

And the baby?

It's ok.

We are getting ready for a C-section.

First we had to stop the bleeding.

When?

We'll operate tonight if we can.

So you can see them in the morning.

I will be there.

Very good, doctor.

Yes.

We have it. The NSA satellite...

captured the cell phone transmission.

He heads west for 50.

This is Lina.

We will have to cross the interstate.

We can block the 4 viaducts.

Of course. Now we got him.

The bus 2-17 to Grand Junction...

Colorado Springs, Pica...

and Des Moines, go now.

When the tone sounds, it's 2:07...

with 30 seconds.

When the tone rings...

I am unit 22 on Interstate 15.

We see a Challenger.

Come on chase him.

This is Unit 22, I lost it.

I'm 26. I'm with him.

Suspect in the copper mine.

All units.

Break it, Charlie. Slow down.

Where are you going now?

It will cut through the building.

We got him now.

Caution.

Well, back off. Look for another way out.

I'm Agent Brown, I follow him.

Report of the situation, Brown.

I'm behind him.

I got him.

Motherfucker.

Exactly. This better be good.

Maybe you can drive, but you can not get away from the phone.

Back in your footsteps. Now it goes east by 70.

This time I'm going in the helicopter.

You must be Kowalski.

You must be crazy.

- Because? - Because?

Strolling through the salt mines.

You want to fool the police in 4 states...

and the FBI...

in the middle of the United States. Who's the crazy one?

There is a difference.

I did not want to do this.

Where can I get gas?

- What about a crankcase? - What?

Look.

- Keep broadcasting. - Does not make sense.

Maybe he forgot to hang up the phone.

It's happened to me.

I'm Kowalski.

- Proof. - Who else?

The government.

The vanguard of the federal invasion to destroy me.

I just want to buy some gas and I will.

Of course, you will.

You will and the assault troops will arrive.

Not from the government, Sammy.

He's alone.

- I do not think so. - Check it out.

Look at the car.

The government would not take so much trouble.

Sammy.

Cool girl.

Sometimes protects me from myself.

It's nothing personal.

But since I stopped paying taxes...

the government bothered me, threatened me.

I know I will not resign myself.

You need a crankcase.

For a Hemi?

I do not have any here.

You could find one in Mountain City.

- Where is it? - 50 kilometres.

Up to the Idaho state limit.

If we fix it, I can reach it.

Do not let it go.

Sammy, Mountain City?

He's very guarded.

She's right.

All right.

You wait here. I will.

I'll do a recon.

Wait.

Attention. This is the FBI.

Driver, stop the vehicle.

Driver, stop the vehicle.

Come on, move.

All for a. Come on.

Raise your hands.

Get out, move.

Come on, come on.

Wait, sir.

It will be 4:37...

with 20 seconds.

Bastard.

Enough.

Are not you interested?

- What would Sammy say? - It's my body.

- I'm married. - You must be a great woman.

Yes, it is.

Before her, I did not care about anything.

But it saved my darling.

He's waiting for our son.

She's a woman.

You too.

Yes thanks.

Thank's for your time. Thank you.

Someone bought a crankcase for a '70 Challenger

at a workshop in Mountain City, Utah.

The seller suspected and called the state police.

I thought there were no decent citizens.

Units available, go to Mountain City Blockade.

I can not stop thinking.

Think about what?

How will this time pass.

You will not.

I know the police supported us all the way.

Do not be affectionate with me, Gill.

I want to drive like Kowalski, but I can not.

It's called maturity.

You could have trouble helping me.

Sammy has friends.

They would charge a very high price.

There are cops across the state line.

You better hurry up.

Thanks for helping me.

Not a hero, Kowalski.

I never said it was.

You're an ordinary man.

Every minute I feel more like this.

They are turning you into a terrible villain.

In a threat, you will see powerful...

- Sammy. - When they find you.

It always gets apocalyptic on Saturdays.

Can not pierce the lock.

I'll have to find one.

No, he will not.

But I can get you across.

As?

Sergeant Preston, FBI units are on their way...

to take care of the blockade and the case.

It is understood.

The FBI is on its way.

They will not stop.

Make way. Move.

Move the cars. Let them through. Leave a space.

Get in the cars. Move, move.

It's him.

We're with him.

What the hell is this?

Where the hell is it?

Where did this fog come from?

You see? I can not.

I have no vision. I do not see the suspect.

Fly low.

Where is it? Where did you go?

Kowalski bypassed the Utah blockade at 51 Idaho.

This is impossible.

She disappeared.

We will find him. Durham, give me that.

Give me that infrared.

It's there somewhere.

Curse.

There is a lot of wind. I'll have to get off.

We will hit mountains.

- Hold on. - Lord, we got him.

It's underneath us somewhere. The paths are covered.

Let's close the area and hopefully leave.

Do you miss running?

Yes.

Do you regret leaving?

Left for me.

If I want to be with you, I have to live.

I do not want anything to ever separate us.

Nothing ever will.

Thank you.

The bike is old.

- We need a car. - I'll fix the truck...

when we win the lottery.

We got 9 months to get lucky.

Last winter we had a good time.

Jim, we can not go 3 people...

on a motorcycle.

Is not happy.

I never thought I'd like to be a father.

But I like...

because it's you.

Is not it risky with infection?

Jimmy, darling is a risk.

Saint John Hospital.

I'm Dr Nazrin.

To all the units, the suspect goes to the North...

by the way to Riddle.

I think they'll get him.

Block Route 51...

to the Northwest of the train's metal bars.

Good morning, citizens. And happy Easter.

I am the voice. Your voice.

Things are not right for Kowalski...

the Lonely Wolf, the Last American Hero.

Drive north on Idaho Route 51...

with the state police behind him and others more...

waiting for you in the town of Riddle.

The State will devastate with this free spirit...

or will it save you as an Easter miracle?

Kowalski said he is not a hero.

But modesty is a virtue of heroism.

He is a man driven to perform extreme actions

by the senseless mechanical bureaucracy...

who wants to control all our lives.

But, citizens...

allow me to ask you this.

When an ordinary man like Kowalski...

is ridiculed and reviled...

Where do you eat as a society?

Where we walk when all our actions...

can violate any new government law?

When we're all criminal...

Who is free?

What happens?

What are you doing here? With whose orders?

My orders, Commissioner. I'm Warren Taft from the FBI.

Get your vehicles out of here.

Now.

The FBI is in charge of this. Or did you not know?

My men will not chase a man...

who wants to go home and stay with his wife.

I warn you, Commissioner.

Take care, lord of the Government.

I am the legally elected Commissioner of this county.

Are you going to stop me?

So all this is a fiasco.

And you should be ashamed.

- What if we let him in? - What?

What's the problem? See your wife and baby...

and stop him at his house the other week?

No means, no hostile crowds, no problems.

You do not understand the situation.

I understand, sir.

That's why I said what I just said.

You have 2 options. You can fulfil the orders...

or tomorrow you can serve the coffee to this steward.

We're after him. Its speed is 80 kilometres per hour.

Hold your positions. Do not force him to stop.

It is understood. We will give you space.

Let's save

With Dr Nazrin.

Saint John Hospital.

Hang on.

I'm Dr Nazrin.

How's my wife?

I'm so sorry. His kidneys failed the operation.

He died at 7:19 this morning.

Because?

It is estimated that Challenger...

with approximately 200 bullet holes...

invested against the patrols more than 240 kilometres per hour.

No one could have survived that impact.

But no one was found.

What happened to Kowalski?

Authorities say it evaporated in the blast.

Some witnesses say they saw him take off...

and escape with the help of allies in the crowd.

Others say that he and his daughter...

now live somewhere in the West.

Do not know.

But somehow...

It's comforting...

who still in this modern and sophisticated era...

of databases and digital footprints...

there are still some mysteries.
