Female Prime Minister

Episode 4

Actually, I had been through a similar tribulation.

My dad

was a high-ranking official in the imperial court

He loved me so much,

and said that after he passed away,

he will

allow me to inherit all his heritage.

One day,

when I was outside

and I was informed that

he has pass away

just like your dad

passed away out of sudden.

When I rushed back home,

and discovered my step mother

had assisted

her biological son

to seized my heritage.

I planned to fight back what belongs to me, but

my step-brother is a nice person.

Moreover, he is sick-abed since young,

doctor’s diagnosis

stated he can't survive through age 30.

I planned to give up,

as I can wait till he pass away

and get back

what belongs to me.

Despite,

my step-mother

will never let me go.

No wonder that day you were so desperately

want to get into the city.

However,

as your step-mother manage to get help from troops

meaning your family has

powerful background.

Yes

We have same experience,

we lost our mothers at young age.

You and me

have similar attitude,

which never yield to fate!

That day,

the reason I take thing too hard,

due to my family

has a rule,

whoever is disabled

is prohibited to inherit the family property.

What a ridiculous rule!

A well-known Gao family

how could have this kind of

strange rule?

If one injured,

would lost his qualification to inherit the heritage,

then, the General and army

shouldn't go for war.

I advice you

don't feel sad

on this small matter,

if not, I'll look down on you!

Alright, you're right!

Wait till I

become the King,

the first thing I want to do

is to abolish this ridiculous rule!

That's sound great!

Since you have clear your mind,

so this Jade

seemed important for you,

you should keep it nicely.

My mother

left this jade to me

to buy a fake official membership to enter palace.

After I sold it,

whenever I think back,

I'll feel grief.

That's why,

not until the critical situation,

we shouldn't sell it.

However,

since the jade still with you,

where do you manage to get the money for medical fee?

See,

there is plenty of fruit tree behind there,

I pluck basket of fruits

and sell it at the market.

However the trees are very tall,

don't tell me that

you climb up?

Yes, is that strange?

Just that I never think that

you know how to climb,

I thought only guys climb.

Who said that girl can't climb tree?

Let me tell you,

women can also be as outstanding as men!

Empress Dou in Han Dynasty

has rule the country for 40 years.

Isn't she also a woman?

Besides that, Lady Nanxi Ling,

rule the southern border herself.

Don't you think she is stronger than men?

If not because of the Emperor

don't allow women to attend the scholar examination,

Maybe I also can

be a scholar.

You have a great ambition.

In my opinion,

becoming a scholar is underestimating you,

you should become a female prime minister!

Well, just forget about it if you don't believe me.

I believe, I really believe you, Lu Zhen!

Really, I trust what you have said.

No matter what you say I also have faith in it!

Great that you believe me.

This jade is better you keep it.

Since I have planned to give it to you

and I'll not change my mind.

Yes, this is

a gift

given by a very important relative of mine,

So from now on,

I hand this to you.

No, no way,

this is such a precious gift for you,

I think is better

you keep it. Do you still remember,

you said that

We will keep it nicely.

Tonight, we can have fish as dinner.

You are really

different from others.

The wound on your arm

is recovering.

I believe you may

back to the capital for the next few days

and figure ways to cope with your step-mother.

Actually, for now,

I don't want to go back.

I want to stay with you,

enjoying farm life,

so relaxing!

You must be joking!

In this thatched cottage,

without a comfortable bed to sleep on,

and I don't know how to cook.

I bet after few days,

you'll be bored of it.

Don't worry about it, this shall I wouldn't feel bored

Never.

This is for you.

Nice?

Catch him! Catch Him!

Don't run away!

Don't run, stop there!

Stop! Catch him!

Stop there!

I am sure they come after me.

Gao Zhan,

your wound still haven't recover,

you shouldn't run that fast.

Let go of me! Faster run!

Fast! Fast!

Don't run, stop there!

Let go your hand, or else

both of us would die.

No, Zhen, please don't let go your hand!

Zhen, please don't do it!

No NO, please hold tight on my hand

Lu Zhen!

Stop!

Do you know who he is?

His Royal Highness of Prince Changguang

And yet we still unable find him.

Or she has

disappear in the thin air?

Madam,

we have try our best

But we have searched the whole city,

and still unable to find her.

But... Speak!

Yesterday night,

we found a dead female body

at the river downstream.

I saw the girl

is wearing

a wedding grown,

has great possibility is our Missy.

Are you sure?

Liu also there,

he said the person look alike our Missy.

Great!

Now I have settled

the trouble.

Thank you so much.

No, you should have it.

No, you should have it.

Missy, please keep it.

How could I take it?

Just take it.

I have been taking care of Missy for so long,

she used to treat me well,

I never have think that

this misfortune can happen on Family Lu.

I am worry but

there is nothing I can help.

Now,

I finally able to

help her.

That's more than enough.

God bless

my sister able to escape

and never come back again.

I don't believe in fate

and I'll never yield to fate!

As long as I don't give up,

there will be a solution for it.

Officers,

could you please help me?

Please send me to the capital.

Officers,

thank you!

You're welcome.

Doctor!

Ghost! Ghost!

Doctor, is me!

Don't you remember who am I?

Please forgive me,

I have no choice,

I didn't mean to kill you.

I shouldn't

get drunk and speak nonsense.

For so many years of medical life,

this is my first time

see people dare to sew his own wound.

Great sage

This is because of my wife

told the officer.

If you want to revenge,

please find her, not me!

Forgive me, please forgive me!

Forgive me!

Your Majestic, are you awake?

Uncle Zhong,

But I

has been to the valley twice to search for her,

but still unable to trace her.

No, I will go find her myself.

Your majestic, Your majestic,

According to the imperial doctor's diagnosis

your arm is recovering,

however, yesterday you applied too much force,

Now the injury worsen.

At this moment,

please have enough rest,

to avoid the wound

getting worse.

Arrival of the Emperor.

Your Majestic!

Thanks, Your Majestic.

How do you feel now?

No worries, brother, I am fine.

I don't want to get marry!

Li Cheng is my future brother-in-law,

how can I marry him?

Don't be silly,

your sister has passed away,

If Family Li

then you may enjoy your life as a Mrs Officer,

isn't that great.

Have a look at this,

I have

help you to prepare this dowry.

Mum, these are all belongs to sister,

I am doing this for your own good.

As a family member of Lu,

Thanks you Lady for the compliment.

Don't call me Lady.

I am just a second class imperial maid

not qualified to have this appellation.

In the palace,

there are few grades for imperial maid,

only female lordship

can be called as Lady.

Don't mess up,

or else you will get punished

or expel out.

Thanks for your advice!

Then what's the different between

Those who have similar age with me

is consider as second class.

For those just enter palace

or imperial maid with guilt

do not have any level.

After the training

and passed the examination,

then will be distributed to different palace,

by then will be third class imperial maid.

Still need to go for examination?

Sister Yang is not around,

Shangshi Luo asked her to Chamberlain Bureau.

I can help you?

Well, who don't know that

in Yong Qin Institution,

Sister Song

This Lu Zhen,

which Dianshi Luo

requested her to be the imperial maid.

I am under the order

to bring her here.

Now only send her here?

But others have started their training.

Dianshi Luo requested me

to bring her here.

Please accept her as the imperial maid. Besides that,

this is

Dianshi Luo's idea.

Thanks for your advice!

I'll bring her in,

come follow me.

Sister

Alright,

You are lying!

We saw you

last time at the palace with us.

We saw you with our own eye,

because you lie on the officer membership,

and being expelled by Dianshi Luo.

No!

I didn't lie!

That was a misunderstanding.

What is the misunderstanding?

I saw u cried and beg for mercy,

and said that you were being forced.

Don't tell me you had forgotten,

we were at the scene.

Yes.

If that wasn't a misunderstanding,

or else how would I

able to enter palace now?

Liar,

still not going to tell the truth?

No, I am not lying.

If not I would not be

able to enter palace again right?

Who is the one making noise?

Sister Yang, you are back.

She is a liar,

she used the fake official membership to enter palace.

Who allow you to speak?

Don't you know how to behave?

Slap your own mouth!

Sister Yang!

But she is

using a fake official membership!

After half month of training on palace's rule,

and yet you have learn nothing.

Real or fake, also after the examination from

the officer and ladies only

can be accepted as imperial maid.

Do you think,

you are smarter

than them?

I don't mean so.

If anyone else don't behave well

will have the same punishment,

please bare in mind!

After enter the palace,

everyone has to follow the palace's rule.

You are not allow to speak

before the owner.

If owner punish you,

you should be grateful.

Yes

you, come with me.

Yes

You are a endurance person,

no wonder you still

able to get into the palace.

However, please bear in mind,

I, Yang Wan-Qiu,

doesn't care you have backup from

Shangshi Luo or Princess Chang,

I treat everyone the same.

You just entered the palace and started arguing with others,

don't you think that

you have someone behind to backup you

then you may not following the rules.

Sister, it wasn't my fault, is Bi...

Shut up, do you

want to be like Bi,

get your punishment?

Let me tell you,

we as a slave, our aim

is to serve our owner.

Next time,

make sure you stay at Yong Qin Institution,

practice well on the palace's rules,

learn how to do the chores,

and learn the ways to serve your future owner.

As compared to others,

you are late for half a month,

do practice extra hard,

if you don't pass the examination,

you will need to pack your things and

go home.

Yes

Lu Zhen, come over here,

we are waiting for you.

Just ignore Bi and Chen Qiu-Niang

Chen Qiu-Niang helped Bi

because of Bi's father

This is your bed.

Thank you, Ning.

Welcome.

We are in palace for half month,

eve FY d ay'

wake up in the morning, sleep at night,

besides the meals,

we will go to the main hall

to crafting and learn some palace's rules.

You faster tell me is there

anything interesting happening outside the palace

outside the palace

Nothing

I heard that

there was a trend outside.

I'll ask Zi

to demonstrate.

Follow me,

123, walk,

good, she

has a mistake which is

her hand posture I have mentioned before that

left hand should be

above the right's

Come again,

123, walk,

the knee must be steady, Good,

that's right please slower the movement.

Your hand is too high, good

Both of you please stand well.

Who is so careless?

Sister, just now there is strong wind

blew the curtain

and caused the candle to fall.

Faster clean this up.

Yes

Thank you!

Welcome.

The Lu Zhen

is very smart

although she came late,

but she is a good learner.

When sewing the tea,

with three fingers,

she managed to hold it well.

Seemed like she is trained since young.

However,

when she pouring the tea,

she on purposely spilled it.

There are few imperial maids

which come from a good background.

But she like to

pretend she know nothing.

Let's see,

what is she trying to hide.

Come to have a look

at this incense,

look like a dragon.

Yes, is so special.

Shallow minded!

Don't you know this is Ambergris?

Who say I don't know.

If you know,

do tell the others what is it.

Where do it come from?

This isn't Ambergris,

this is Long Wen Incense.

Is tribute from East China Country.

Ambergris's smell

is more pungent as compared to Long Wen Incense.

Well,

seemed that Lu Zhen is smarter than you,

you are shallow-minded.

Lu Zhen, why are you so late today?

Why?

There is still plenty of work load.

I have clean it.

Why am I so unlucky,

faster lighten up the candle.

Lu Zhen, are you done with the cleaning?

Not yet, but is okay,

I can wash it without light.

Lu Zhen,

what is that?

Look,

Is okay,

maybe I did it mistakenly.

How could be possible,

must be someone playing trick on you.

Who?

Why are you looking at me?

No one is playing trick on me,

I just want to entertain everyone.

How dare you have fun on me?

Don't you runaway,

everyone please help me to catch her!

This is ridiculous!

Should I go in

and scold them?

Just ignore them, they are just little girl,

is great that they still able to laugh,

maybe next time,

I don't think they still

have the chance to laugh so happily,

just like us,

we are too old to laugh already.

Lu Zhen,

is consider quite smart

Of course, or else

and a good learner,

Really?

I think that

you are not smart enough.

I am ignorance,

hope Shangyi Officer

can guide me.

Do you think who is

she is similar to?

I feel that

she look alike with

Empress Xiao

If she stay in palace,

this will be a trouble for us.

I know what to do.

I shall leave.

Although this might offend the Princess Chang,

but she is

not allowed to stay in palace.

When sewing tea,

hold the tea tray higher,

your wrist should be straight,

your fingers must hold the cup

firmly.

Just like this.

Good, please repeat again.

Alright, I would like to

add water into the cup,

everyone please hold the cup firmly.

Why do you break it?

No,

I am still holding it.

Sister,

Lu Zhen,

and you have break

the expensive tea set.

Well,

Sister, please forgive me,

but this cup

isn't expensive tea set,

it started to turned yellow,

the surface is rough

and have a very obvious scratches,

this is a low grade

and is very common porcelain.

In the market, this cup

is cost around 10 sen.

I am willing to compensate.

Please don't expel me.

You...

What is going on?

Nothing,

I was careless and

break a cup.

You are elder here,

how could you still being so careless.

Alright, everyone please have a rest.

Yes.

Are you alright?

Yes.

I feel that

Sister Song

is on purposely finding trouble on you

I also don't know

when have I offended her.

Regardless what,

I need to stay in palace,

not going to leave palace.

I am exhausted.

Sleep early,

we still need to wake up early tomorrow.

We still need to wake up early tomorrow.

Who did this?

My blanket is wet.

Mine too.

What's going on?

What's going on?

Who did this?

Why do you pour water

on your blanket?

Not me!

Bi, you shouldn't say so.

Do you have any proof

saying this is done by Lu Zhen?

Then, why is everyone blanket

is wet

except for hers?

Yes, yes

If she didn't do it,

why is her blanket dry?

Must be she did it.

Now are you satisfied with my explanation?

I entered the room

same time with all of you,

how would I manage to

pour water on those blankets.

Why are u guys making noise in the midnight?

Sister,

Lu Zhen poured water

on our blanket.

I have explained it wasn't me.

Do you have any proof

to show it aren't you?
